Lucayan National Park is a hidden treasure worth exploring. It's off the beaten path and a great getaway from the more touristy areas. It's a half an hour taxi ride away from the Freeport Cruise Terminal. Gold Rock Beach is mesmerizing. The turquoise water and white sand will make you wish you had heard about it sooner. Bring your own refreshments and snacks and soak it in as long as you can.

The cave tour is thru 2 seperate entrances to the same cave. We got stuck between alot of cruise boat tour guides, but they were very knowledgeable and friendly with us tagging along. Beautiful cave entrances but the 2nd half of the park is a walk through the Mangroves to the amazing beach.

Beautiful beach, especially at low tides. It is a great place to see more than your usual sand and water, because the walk to the beach has beautiful mangroves and other nature to view. The lounge chairs were chained up so they couldn’t be used. On the other side, the caves were very cool. You see 2 caves on the trail, only about a 10 minute walk. It was very interesting. Overall very cool and beautiful but the entry fee is a deterrent.

Excellent hike with unique geology. Can be difficult to climb down in some areas. If you have the ability to view, this is a really different experience off the beaten path that harnesses the beauty of the natural environment. Budget Friendly (only $11/pp). Lots of signage. Easy parking. Some garbage cans along the way. Bathrooms do not have plumbing or running water, however the 'pit' was fairly clean and they did have hand sanitizer. It has a fully gravel path, but would not recommend it for someone who has difficulty walking.

It is pretty inside the caves, the water is so clear and bright blue, swimming not allowed. The park is small but has flora and fauna to take a look at, which is why the 11 dollars entry fee is well worth it. Once you're done, make your way by walking across the highway and mangrove swamp to the amazing Gold Rock Beach, takes only about 10-15 minutes on the well marked path.

If you are into the beach and nature, you will enjoy this place. There are two caves you can walk down to , and when you finish, you walk across the street to this breathtaking beach. We fell in love immediately. Also, pirates of the Caribbean were filmed here. We found lots or coral, and when the tide is out, the marks you can see in the sand from the waves were pretty neat. Put this place on your bucket list when you come to freeport.

Lucayan National Park is a hidden gem in the Bahamas! The mix of lush mangroves, beautiful beaches, and fascinating cave systems makes it a must-visit.
