Read great reviews and decided to check this location out. Their churros totally live up to the reviews. Would highly recommend! Amazing & delicious! Everyone who tried them loved them. Can't wait to go back and try the filled churros and their other available items!

Their churros are amazing. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, good amount of sugar and not too greasy. The guava filling is good, but I don't really think that it is worth it compared to the regular one (it is an extra $1.50 for the filling). The regular ones are a pretty good value though at 75 cents.

Best churros ever

First time here today, my wife loves their champurrado, so I wanted to surprise her. Got there and the lady and young man were very polite. Definitely recommend them. To everyone looking for a sugar high.

I ordered the original tres leches cake with "liquor" for 20 people and paid $48. Note that I also drove all the way from Anaheim for this cake that I had tried at my cousin's birthday and they got it from this location and you could taste the liquor. However the cake that I received did not taste like liquor at all, it was simply a regular tres leches cake that I could've purchased from my local bakery. I was beyond disappointed with the cake. I called the bakey to complain and all the lady kept telling me was that they put the same amount of liquor to all cakes which again the cake I got practically had none. Not once did she apologize or tried to satisfy her customer. I will not be recommending nor buying from Lucero's ever again.

My visit today was not good. I wanted to buy a box of churros. I was going to pay credit card, like I always do. The lady attending me said they are cash only. I mentioned that I jave paid credit card before. She dis not want to take my credit card. I will not be returning again.

This is my go to spot for gelatinas de mosaico! My family loves their gelatina because it's not too sweet and the flavor is just right! They also have gelatina de nuez and de leche, I've tried them all and they are all good! Their churros are also fire!

Experience but definitely worth it!!! Tres Leches cake is the best!!! Can't find this anywhere else!!! Staff is always friendly and helpful. Spot is always clean and service is on point!

This is the place if you want some cooked when order hot churros. Not much else in the display cases when I walked in and almost every one was ordering hot churros. They have the plain or the filled churros. Flavors available are.. Strawberry Nutella Chocolate Guayaba and Vanilla $1.50 for regular and $3.50 for the flavor filled. I tried one of each and all were very tasty. There's only 2 chairs available for seating inside with only one table. Mostly everyone was buying to go. We went to the McD down the street and ate them with a coffee. Delicious!!!!

If you love Tres leches cake, I highly recommend stopping by for a slice of tres leches cake de Nuez. I've tried many different Tres leches cakes and this is my first time trying de Nuez. So yummy, soft, light, and w/a perfect ratio of leche and cake.

Churros are fresh and warm. The price increased to $1.5 each. I came here since it's $0.75/ churro. If you buy more than 50 churros, it's $1.25.

This place is trash!! I don't see how it has good ratings! They never ever have pan dulce! And when they do it's all miserable looking. Been in Maywood my entire life and it's always been trash.

Ordered ny daughter's heart shaped vintage cake, not only was delicious but it was beautiful just like I requested it. Also ordered her college graduation cake and couldn't be happier, both cakes were delicious, also tried their churros very tasty.

This place has some delicious pan dulce and very FRESH especially if you get there early, customer service needs work but the bread is worth overlooking the service.

Churros! Amazingly delicious! Perfectly fluffy inside and crispy outside. We were having lunch at Tacos el Compa next door (also delicious), and Lucero Bakery provided the perfect dessert!

I been buying cakes here for over 17 years. I believe they have the best 3 leches cake around. Even better than their other locations. Don't ever go to the East LA location that's the worst! The 3 leches cake and churros are their specialty here. They usually have a few different flavors besides the classic 3 leches. They vary from coffee, hazel nut and chocolate. They are all good. Every single time the cakes here are perfectly made. The right amount a milk and sweetness. Unfortunately it is still cash only and the parking is just terrible.

Bought 120 churros for my son's wedding. They were hot delicious and warm. A great choice at a great price!

Excellent Tres Leches cake, which is surprisingly moist. They have their own parking available. Also, the line was long during a weekend evening visit, but it moved fast.

Best churros in all of LA... change my mind... I have to drive almost 40 minutes to get here but it's so worth it... never disappoint... Im a fan of the original churros they sell.. no filling.. so I assume the vanilla, cajeta, or chocolate filled churros are just as good.. if you haven't been here already stop what you're doing and just get here...

Amazing! I got some churros filled with cajeta And some regular ones. They were fresh and still hot when we got them. I took them home to my family and they all asked me where I got them from. So happy to find this place and that it's close by. Filled churros are about $2.50 each. I got some bolios as well they are very tasty. Soft on the inside and a slight crunch on the outside.

Delicious churros! It's unbelievable how amazing their churros are. I bought 50 churros for only $33. Every time I have an event I order churros from this bakery. They even take large orders on the same day! My only complaint is that I often have to wait 10-15 minutes when picking up my order. But it's definitely worth the wait.

Just picked up a tres leches cake from Lucero's for my birthday. Tres leches is my absolute favorite - it's the pinnacle of deserts, in my opinion. I showed up around 12:30 pm, no one else was there except for the three gentlemen working there. I was promptly greeted and told the gentleman behind the counter what I was looking for. He showed me their selection, and answered my questions about the cakes they had on deck. We had a brief discussion about my "Kobe" t-shirt as he boxed up my cake. Soon after I got home, I cut myself a slice, and, man, talk about excellence. The cake is incredibly flavorful and moist. The icing is light , kind of like a hybrid of whipped cream and a typical frosting, in my assessment. Can't have a party because of COVID, so I guess I'm going to have to eat the whole thing by myself ‍

This place is so under rated. I can't believe I went this far in life without finding out about this place until recently!! Get one of everything! Flan cake is soooo goooood too!

This is the BEST bakery I've ever been to. Churros are so delicious oh and their cheesecakes (specially the bread cheesecake) Are so finger licking good! Everything in the bakery looks super delicious but We've only tried their cheesecakes and churros.

Churros from Lucero Bakery are the BEST I've ever had! I prefer these to Disneyland's! Crunchy on the outside, soft and gummy on the inside. And the price?! 75¢ each churro (I think the prices has gone up since I first tried their churros, but definitely not crazy. Originally 60¢ each) is definitely a steal and incentive to buy a bunch. Disneyland churros are good but for almost $5 each, Lucero's churros definitely win. Parking in the plaza is a little sparse and the location is a little in the boonies. There's a 50¢ charge for using cards. But if I'm ever in the area and craving churros, definitely worth the visit!

Not as good as the original one in Commerce. Churros were hard and tasted old. Selection not as fresh as the other.

I highly recommend the gelatina de nuez and pastel de tres leches con nuez. I received a lot of compliments for it from my family when I took it for Father's Day.

We were here on a whim, about a month ago - we were invited to an event at Border X Brewing about a mile away, and on the way back to our car, my wife said she remembered there was a bakery nearby that made really good tres leches that she'd been to ages ago, and pulled up yelp to try to find it. She couldn't remember whether this was the place she'd been to before, though that doesn't really matter, obviously. Anyway, I'd give the tres leches a solid 4/5 - it's only $3 for a pretty giant slice, and it's solidly above average tres leches. I've had much worse, but I will say, it was pretty ridiculously sweet - my wife has a bit of a sugar addiction, and even she thought it was a bit too sweet. However, they also have churros - they were only 75 cents, so we bought several, assuming they'd be mini-churros, for that price... they were not. Normal sized churros, clearly made fresh, very high quality, for 75 cents a churro. Heck yes! I would definitely come back here anytime I was remotely nearby, if I was in the mood for really good churros. (I only tried the unadulterated kind - the fancy ones looked too rich after we'd just come from a beer tasting event, but even if they are twice as expensive, I'd probably try a chocolate one if I were ever back in the area. Like, say, next time Border X has an event.) Bonus: I saw some earlier reviews saying they're cash-only - they take cards now.

My review is on customer service. Smile on face! Just when I was having a difficult day an employee at Lucero's made my day. (Green-eyed Baker) I went to Luceros to buy my mom a small personalized cake. I requested a message to be written on top. I changed my mind since the cake is very small. Well the "Baker" from the back area comes out and says," I can write I love you mom on your cake". He says "remember you only have one mom". I agreed and I let him write the message on the top of the cake. As I'm driving off from the location he stops me and hands me some churros for my mom. What a nice gesture from him. I was very thankful for his kindness.. Thank you young man..

Yes churros!! My coworkers introduced me to this place. Their churros aren't dinky and tiny but quite long. You can order a head of time if you like. They have regular and also you can add syrup in the inside: chocolate, vanilla, guava, or cajeta (caramel). All are very delicious. They even take credit card here given a minimum. I bought a few boxes on different occasions and trust me, if you gift this, who's gonna say no?! If you want to order a ton, I recommend calling a head of time to make an order. They also have a small parking lot to park in.

Hate to be that person but they had a BED in the kitchen area. That violates all kinds of health codes. They weren't even trying to hide it. If you're near the front you can see it

We have been buying cakes from Luceros for as long as I can remember. Their cakes are always on point! Both 3 leches or regular fruit filled cakes. The only difference I saw with this cake was the the cake wasn't even on the inside... if that makes any sense. The bottom part of the cakes bread was thin and the top bread was thick. I couldn't take a picture because I was cutting the cake. Taste was on point but because of the unevenness the pieces of cake fell apart. No biggie, but aesthetics makes difference in ALL products too! Just because the pieces of cake fell apart. But I guess I can live with that. Bread was moist and strawberries inside were fresh. I also asked them to replicate a cake they had done for us for my husbands grandfather who is now looking over us from heaven the last time we celebrated his birthday. It was a nice birthday surprise for my husband and as soon as he saw it he said ' hey it looks just like grandpa's cake' Thank you Lucero's for creating memories.

Went this morning to buy two chorros and when I finally went to eat one (one hour after I bought it) it basically was old grease with old flour. It's was the worst I ever tried when it comes to chorros. It's sad because they were very good years back but I guess they might of given me a bad one or an expire one

I LOVE CHURROS. Especially FRESH made-to-order churros! I used to go down to the one on Gage.. but thanks to a fellow yelpers tip on how they no longer make it fresh, I came to this location instead! I was craving these darn things for 2 weeks before I finally gave in! I headed here during lunch about to buy 2 dozens to bring back to work.. until I remembered they had 'the list' which lists out the pricing for how ever many churros you order is what ever price. I was ONLY going to get 36 (for $14.40).... then the lady goes *points at the bottom of the page* "IF you get 50 it's only $15". Whattttttt? o_o ..... ok. 50. Now, my coworkers thought I was a bit ridiculous lugging back a huge box of churros to work. In 3 hrs, they were all gone.
