First time here after hearing so much positive reviews about this place. Definitely a place to visit and enjoy some delicious pasta. Pasta was nearly al dente and not those soggy like you can from other places. The gnocchi pesto was legendary in our opinion although was a little salty. The prosciutto & buffalo mozzarella was served at a room temperature which was a little disappointing.

Iconic market eatery with a nostalgic vibe. Had to wait a while for dinner on a Friday but it was worth it. The pasta was affordable at $20 for a big bowl of ragu with thick pappardelle noodles. It’s a simple meal but was warm and comforting on a cold night.

The pasta was freakin fire 🔥 Got the vongole pasta, but since clams aren’t in season, it was subbed with mussels. The mussels were perfectly cooked, and noodles al dente. The tomato based sauce had a slight briny flavour from the mussels, and the portion was very reasonably priced at $28. I recommend sitting outside if you like people watching!

Cute, fast Italian eatery. Lots of pasta, sandwiches, panini, salad and bakery items. The sandwich was very small for the price, lacks fillings in the vegetable sandwich. Better option is to build you own panini. Great for all ages. Plenty of seats but very busy but service is fast so the wait is not super long. Since it is in the central market it us very lound and busy foot traffic and maybe not idea for someone who is distracted by sounds. Offer take away as well.

Had been itching to try this place for a couple of months. The garlic bread was decent, especially the bread itself with a great texture...ever so slightly burnt on the edges but not enough to ruin it. Gnocchi carbonara impressed me in that it wasn't oily like some others I've had. The let down was that the gnocchi was a long way from being melt-in-the-mouth, plus the carbonara sauce was more like a soup/broth than any carbonara I've ever had - maybe it's traditional, honestly not sure. Overall, the experience was good enough that I will return and try some different options on the menu, in time.

Lucias has nailed this one. Food is just amazing, and the atmosphere is the best. We went for the cabonara and bruschetta, well they did not disappoint. Whether it's a nice glass or red or a strong coffee you're after, Lucias will serve it up. Being directly inside the Adelaide markets, the vibe is great! Tables go fast, but be patient. It's worth the wait. No bookings were taken, unfortunately. Enjoy this one!

Hmmmm, hate to bag a great institution, BUT, went there Tuesday morning 7th Oct./25 . Hadnt been there for over 30 years ( which i always enjoyed ) as we had moved interstate but returned to Adelaide . It was my birthday and i wanted to have breakfast with friends there. Coffey was quick and ok ,meals took over 20 minutes even though I told the waiter my partner had to leave at a certain time and was told by the waiter that the meal was 2 minutes away so we waited another 10 minutes .I asked that her meal be put in as a takeaway then. She had Gluten free bread with the meal.2 meals turned up as take aways instead with no idea which had the correct bread. I had to run out of the market to find her before she got in the taxi to not eat the bread . My Order was also missing the sough dough toast which they then brought as we were leaving. We were offered some compensation but we had had enough of a really, disappointing experience all round. It wasnt even busy at the time.!!

Yelp
I really wondered if past reviewers and eaters were wearing swimming googles, because this was absolutely the most revolting breakfast I had in a very long time. A piece of toast, daubed with actually quite good scrambled egg, accompanied by a slab of fish and what was definitely not avocado, but an acorn waiting to grow into an oak tree. And I waited a long time to get this overpriced disappointment! It was pure inedibility! The accompanying coffee was bile and that is being nice to liquid acid. I'd rather have stayed at home with my Nespresso machine and made my own acorn sandwich. The location is amazing and I really wanted to review this with all smiles, but I can't. May be Lucia should stick to pizza and pasta instead of Bunnings fertiliser.

Yelp
Great location within the Adelaide Central market. Amazing paninis. Panini special #1 was always my go to. Prosciutto, mozzarella, basil, tomato and olive oil. Service is always great and quick at the panini station. They also have a restaurant next door serving amazing brunch, pasta and other Italian cafe favorites.
