Super nice food, my last meal in Lisbon and it's unbelievable. Very tasty fresh grilled fish. 10/10!!!! I am a person who dislike the carrots, cooked cucumbers and onions, but I ate them all in my plate, can you imagine how good they are?! The house sparking wine is insanely great, only cost 3.2€ for 50ml. The dessert nata pie is great too. The staff are helpful and kind. I was surrounded by the beautiful pinkish sunset glow. Very enjoyable memories.

Okay, so this spot in Lisbon? Seriously awesome. The food was just fantastic – every bite was a winner! But honestly, the service? Next level! Our waiter (wish I remembered his name!) was the absolute best. So friendly and attentive, made us feel right at home. If I could give this place a million stars, I totally would. We loved it so much that we were planning our last meal in Lisbon here before heading back to the States. Sadly, when we showed up, they were packed with at least an hour's wait. Our favorite waiter felt bad and told us about another place they had nearby, but he did warn us, "it's not the same people." Boy, was he right! Since we were starving and it was getting late, we went to the other spot. The food was still good, but the service? Ugh. Seriously the worst we had the whole trip in Portugal (and we ate at a bunch of places!). They were either super understaffed or just not very good. Anyway, this first place? It's super laid-back, which was perfect for someone like me who just wants to enjoy some amazing food and drinks without stressing about a ton of rules. Plus, even though it says "cash only," they actually take cards, which was a nice surprise. Honestly, our favorite waiter should have just rapped about the other place, "they not like us!" We probably would have just found somewhere else. But no worries, if we ever make it back to Lisbon, you can bet we'll be hitting up this original spot at least twice to make up for that bad experience at the other one. Seriously, this place is a gem. Go for the killer food and stay for the incredible, down-to-earth service!

While staying at the Holiday Inn Continental in Lisbon, we didn’t want to venture too far for dinner. A quick Google search led us to Lucimar, and what a hidden gem it turned out to be! We thought it would be a 20-minute walk, but it was only 12 — though we ended up Ubering over. Either way, the experience was absolutely worth it. We ordered the Lucimar-style steak topped with eggs and fries, and the Lucimar-style codfish. Both dishes were beautifully presented, and you could tell they were made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The steak was juicy and tender, lightly grilled with just the right amount of seasoning and sauce, perfectly paired with a sunny-side-up egg and crispy fries. The codfish came atop a generous bed of roasted baby potatoes, sautéed spinach, and carrots — all flavorful and well-balanced. The fish was slightly undercooked for our taste, but when we mentioned it to the manager, he was incredibly gracious. He took it back without hesitation and re-prepared it exactly how we liked it — adding more vegetables and potatoes, all with a big, welcoming smile. After dinner, the manager recommended we try the natas pie and promised to switch it out if we didn’t like it — but we loved it! We also tried their chocolate mousse, which was decadently rich and absolutely delicious. We’ve been in Lisbon for over four days and have tried several highly rated restaurants in the Baixa area, many recommended by YouTubers and food bloggers — but nothing compares to Lucimar. This has been the best dining experience we’ve had since arriving in Lisbon. We’re even planning to come back again after our trip to Porto! As Americans who’ve tried it all — from California to New York — we highly recommend Lucimar. The food, service, and hospitality are exceptional. We even tipped 10% (not required in Portugal) simply because they earned it. A truly memorable meal — can’t wait to return!

One of the best foods that I had in my life. Looked for traditional Portuguese restaurants and found this one. A lovely cozy place and we were served by Claudia. Most of them speak English here and we had such a lovely service( thanks to Claudia). Unfortunately, couldn’t add the picture of the Gambas dish as I was completely focused on completing it 😉. Never miss this dish and I highly recommend this place to enjoy the traditional Portuguese dishes 🤩

We had an amazing time at the restaurant! I absolutely loved the great green soup, and my friend ordered the salmon, which was just perfect—flaky, buttery, and deliciously seasoned. The service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was so nice! We didn’t have a reservation but they welcomed us right in, which was awesome. Can’t wait to come back!

Google
Great food at an awesome value served by the friendliest staff :) thank you for being so welcoming and giving us a meal to remember on our last day in Portugal! Definitely on the list to visit again when we get a chance! The grilled squid, cod, and the veal macaroni are a must try!

Had a nice time overall. The location was easy to find. The food was great. I ordered the cuttlefish and was pleasantly surprised by the size of it. It's also delicious. The servers were fun and accommodating. Would recommend 👌

Yelp
**cash only** What a cozy local spot. My eating partner and I popped in for lunch. We got in at a good time (when they opened) because when we left, the place was full. The menu is translated in English and French. We came here because we wanted to try francesinha. I don't know how other places serve it, but this sandwich was doused in a tomato-based sauce. It was filled with meat, so I think a meat lover would like this. It's also topped with a poached egg. For me, the chili oil helped it go down better. The fries were my favorite!! I loved the fries so much. The other dish I tried was grilled codfish. Another Yelper's photo of the grilled codfish looked different from mine. Mine was served on a bed of potatoes covered in olive oil and sliced raw onions. If this is supposed to be their nicer fish, I'm curious what the "lesser" fish, like sea bream, is served like. Service was good. We were confused whether to pay at the counter because we saw some locals doing it. I'd like to add - I walked an hour to get here XD

Yelp
Amazing experience - I couldn't wipe the smile off of my face! Got lucky that a group of locals came with their musical instruments and treated the whole restaurant to several hours of lively Portuguese folk songs. What a festive atmosphere! And the food es delicious too. A night to remember, for sure.

Yelp
We were looking for a locals only restaurant, or at least one that serve red primarily locals and found this place. This place, located in a neighborhood area, serves up some traditional Portuguese fare in a no frills atmosphere. The service was efficient and friendly. The menu basic but had all the traditional Portugese dishes you'd expect. Here's a few of the dishes we had: Francesinha Steak with Coffee Sauce Grilled Cuttlefish Grilled Codfish To top the meal off, they gave us some local liqueur which was a nice touch.

Yelp
We just completed a week in Portugal and finished with the most economical yet fantastic meal we experienced all week. Four of us had steak, fish, pork, and a combination of all three preceded by a tasty vegetable soup. We finished off with incredible desserts and after dinner aperitifs. I should also add a splendid bottle of wine at an incredible price added to the exceptional experience. The wait staff couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly!

Yelp
Happen upon this little place. Nothing fancy however the food is pretty fantastic. Had the prawns in garlic, and the sea bass with vegetables. The prawns was the best we have had in Portugal and the Sea Bass was amazing. The cost of the meal was $26 which included two beers and bread. At the end of the meal they gave us to muscat wines on the house. This is a hidden gem of a place

Yelp
True local spot. We visited during Lisbon lunch time and I was packed with locals. It was quite lovely to observe people on their break from work. The service was friendly, fast, and efficient. I'm so glad we went to this hidden gem

Yelp
What a great find in Lisbon , a short Uber ride from our hotel and we find a locals restaurant that was amazing. Very good dinner at a reasonable price , very friendly staff and the manager gave us history of the area and restaurant . The place was so good we came back the next night after a long day of sightseeing and tried whatever was suggested and it didn't disappoint. Love Lisbon and look forward to our next visit

Yelp
This is a casual and very cozy authentic Portuguese restaurant with great food and excellent service with reasonable prices frequented mostly by local people/families. The owner is extremely friendly always making sure you receive the best quality service and food possible. A hidden gem in Lisbon. Make sure you call ahead. It's always fully booked.

Yelp
Got a local recommendation to come here for the infamous Francesinha sandwich! Since this is really a Porto specialty we wanted to choose carefully since Lisbon isn't quite the right place. However, no fear. Lucimar's version is excellent! It was exactly what I imagined it would be and more. To begin with there was the usual range of appetizers, but the olives came with garlic, bay leaf, oregano and oranges. Incredible combination. Bread of course, plus some eggs scrambled with sausage. Obviously it was generously proportioned but the flavors were good as well. The steak was tender and there was plenty of sausage, cheese and sauce (they even gave us extra). Be sure to ask for the house made hot sauce - that stuff is amazeballs. We finished off with some Arroz Doce which is totally worth ordering. The owner brought us some lovely Moscatel de Setubal on the house to finish off. An excellent meal with lovely people in a great little neighborhood spot. Check it out!

Yelp
We were brought here by our guide to have our last dinner in the city. The guide ordered for us and everything was mostly great. Interesting dishes, local dishes of seafood rice, chorizo, grilled pork etc... More home style in terms of serving size. We were with a guide so communication wasn't an issue.

Yelp
If you love meat and seafood, this is the place to come! If you love an intimate setting and don't mind making a reservation, this is the place to come! (We were a party of six) If you like being taken care of by the owner and his adorable teenaged son and nephew (super cute 13-year old whom we asked, do you have a girlfriend? No, he says and after a pause, I have two!), this is the place to come! Their bacalao was delicious. It was a good sized piece of cod that was so flaky, tender, flavorful and went well with the potatoes and other thinly sliced veggies. We had vino tinto and tried a variety of desserts, ALL that we loved! The chocolate mousse was my personal favorite. The owner chatted with us and brought us our complimentary peach schnapps, an entire bottle! Overall, it was an excellent experience!

Yelp
Without question the best restaurant I have eaten at in Lisbon. The food is 10 stars at least! The servers are so kind. The salmon and beef are amazing! Those have been the things I have tried. I will definitely be eating there at least once a week.

Yelp
Great local gem ... Had tasty meals. Great service with personality not seen in a while. They have pork, beef, and fish. Many desserts to choose from including mango mousse, cheesecake, and other various options. This a local spot. Not touristy. Well worth the visit at a low cost, surprisingly.

Yelp
Lucimar is a typical local restaurant where you will eat well in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was always smiling and attentive to the customers. To begin to sweeten the appetite, once you sit down, they will serve the typical Portuguese entrees, bread, and olives. The menu boasts an array of delicious homemade food and at an affordable price. This restaurant was a pleasant surprise, and it's the place to be if you want to eat a very good Francesinha! The service was also quite efficient, fast and friendly. Jose Maria is the face of this business! We felt welcomed and enjoyed the very attentive and friendly staff. You'll want to visit during off-peak meal hours otherwise I recommend you call and make a reservation.

Yelp
Fantastic food!! My sister and husband moved to Portugal and introduced us to Lucimar. It had a neighborhood feel and the most amazing food, we all want to go back. Service outstanding! Fantastic waiter too!

Yelp
I loved this Pace the food is to die for! Best Francesinhas in Lisbon highly recommend.

Yelp
Put it on your list! We were staying nearby and chose this pace for dinner based on other TripAdvisor reviews -- thanks All!! We asked the concierge at our hotel if he could make our reservation since we don't speak Portuguese--he said he goes there often and was happy to secure it for us. What a welcoming reception we had upon arriving at the restaurant! It's a true neighborhood gem and the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Two of us got the Francesinha which is very large, served open-faced and eaten with a fork and knife-- loved it! The grilled steaks were also delicious along with plenty of authentic appetizers.

Yelp
Lucimar is a bit out of the way, but well worth the detour. The setting is fairly intimate and if locals and tourists alike patronize the restaurant, more of the former are present. The cod was excellent and beautifully plated. The alheira de mirandela was also very tasty. I'd be remiss if I did not mention that the waitress (whose name I did not catch, unfortunately) who was working the evening we went to Lucimar was fantastic: attentive yet discreet, truly an asset for Lucimar!!!

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place on a food tour ( local guide). I hated every single thing ( except eggtart and sweets) I had eaten in Lisbon up to this point... This place changed everything. We got Octopus salad, some egg dish, stuffings, AND COD. OMG, THE BEST COD I EVER HAD. It was the best place we ate when we were in Lisbon... it was filled with locals ( families, etc) and looked like it would be impossible to book. However, they eat dinner late in Portugal ( Just like Spain), so if you go before 7-8pm, you can probably just walk in... Do yourself a favor!! EAT HERE!

Yelp
Fantastic restaurant with authentic Portuguese food. The francesinha here is to die for...why this has not been on every menu in the United States is beyond me. It is a wonderful flavor bomb sandwich that will cure any appetite. The beer and tomato sauce on the sandwich is killer. On top of that they provide a homemade hot pepper oil which made the course even better! My fiance ordered the cuddlefish, and loved it. We also ordered the hot bread with cheese and honey to start the meal...which was delicious. To end the meal you are given a complementary Moscato which was a perfect way to close off the main courses. As we were sipping on the dessert wine, we struck up a conversation with the owner Joses, who is beyond kind and delightful. He is also extremely knowledgable about wine and we learned a great deal about Portuguese wine in particular. If you want a great Portuguese meal with the home cooked feel, make sure you come to this restaurant. You will not be dissapointed. Do note that we ate around 5:30-6pm since this place gets packed around 8. We had tried to come the day prior, but the wait was 40 min. There was no wait at 5:30 since this is a bit early for dinner in Portugal

Mitchel E.

Yelp
Excellent example of Portuguese cuisine. We had the Francesinha which is actually from Porto but amazingly rich to eat for dinner. Consider sharing. Wine is inexpensive and in fact the whole dinner with wine was inexpensive. The service is excellent and attentive. Highly recommended! In a residential neighborhood so odd but just explore and so worth it. Reservations recommended or go during the early evening slump.

Yelp
such a wonderful place! the food was delicious and the service was outstanding!! almost overlooked the restaurant but i'm so glad i didn't! would definitely go back and would absolutely recommend to a friend!

Yelp
By no means is this a fancy gourmet restaurant, but it is a great local place with a wonderful, generous, staff and delicious Portoghese food. We came away from the meal happy and satisfied. Was even thinking of going back again the next night, it was that pleasant.

Tr H.

Yelp
My son and I came in for dinner with a party of five including our guide who brought us. We had a fantastic meal, esp the sausage egg scramble appetizer, the acorn fed pork, cod fish, and the fish stew. All the dishes were superb, service excellent. Definitely will repeat.

Yelp
Our first night in Lisbon, suffered through crappy plane food after travelling 24 hours to get here. This restaurant was a 5 min walk from our AirBNB. It was awesome and the wait staff very nice. We arrived around 7:40 PM (very early), but 8:30 the line was out the door. We never felt rushed, our food arrived hot and delicious. We will make it back again before we leave.
