Came here on a Sunday for brunch. Service was great and staff were very friendly. We ordered the charcuterie, seafood chowder, and fries. Everything was exceptional and a good amount for two people. We also got a glass of the phone box white wine which we really enjoyed as its a bit on the sweeter side. Highly recommend.

Pretty good, had a great time, but they dint have enough servers the ones that were were nice but overworked. The steak and spaghetti were the best. The Korean Fried Chicken was actually just Fried Chicken, the Duck Breast tasted good but a better name would be Duckling Breast. Cheese board was pretty good.

Such a beautiful spot! You can just do a wine tasting, go to the shop or enjoy some food from their bistro. The place was busy when we came but they managed to find us a seat. I had the steak cheese and soup. The sandwich was amazing. The tomato soup was ok a bit on the sour side. I like a creamier soup but it paired very nicely with le sandwich! This is not my first time visiting every time I go to the valley a stop at lucketts is a must! Even if it’s just to pick up some of their delicious olives 🙌♥️

Google
What a beautiful spot! Relaxed Atmosphere, open air dining, appetizers, mains and desserts were delicious as well as aesthetically pleasing, views of the vineyard and wine all added to the experience. What a great night. Our favorite stop so far. 💯 Recommend.

Enjoyed an afternoon of great food, views, and wine. This is one of the few vineyards that offers a whole lunch menu. We had their charcuterie board which was incredible. The fish and chips were good too but the breading was a little thick for my personal liking. The deconstructed apple pie and lavender ice cream was excellent. I had a glass of their barrel fermented chardonnay which complimented the meal. There's EV parking provided by Porsche for those that need it. Make sure to walk around the vineyard and gardens then take a picture at the red phone booth! Can't wait to return next time I visit the Annapolis Valley.

For our first meal in Nova Scotia, we drove an hour to Luckett for a late lunch as recommended by a local. I was told this is one of the few vineyards in the area that serves a full lunch menu. We enjoyed the nice view along with good food and great wine - the famous tidal bay which again is something a local recommended for us to try. I am on a journey to find the best seafood chowder on this short trip, where I will order a bowl at each place I visit. I can tell you the one at Luckett won the best chowder award from me! Greta tasting and loaded with seafood, must try! The coating on the fish is a little too thick for my liking, but overall we had a great dining experience and would recommend this place for anyone looking for dining options in the area.

Me and my brother went there it was really beautiful but the grapes were still greenish . We took some pictures and tasted few wines

Google
Luckett Vineyard offers an exceptional dining experience, beautifully complementing their stunning vineyard views. The chowder stands out as a highlight, boasting a rich and flavorful taste that leaves a lasting impression. Equally impressive is their salad, which is incredibly fresh and bursting with vibrant flavors. The combination of these dishes, paired with the vineyard's elegant ambiance, makes for an unforgettable visit.

Yelp
What an amazing oasis to have a delicious lunch as well as trying several great wines. You will be challenged to find something you don't like. Loved the hot honey with Brie on the charcuterie board and the chowder was excellent, with the Tidal Bay of course

Yelp
We tried to have lunch here today and the manager was so rude we left. All we needed was to have tables pushed together so that our large group could all sit together. We were told it is against their policy to push tables together. No reason was given. Just, it's against our policy. Apparently customer service is also against their policy. The owner needs to do a performance review with this "manager". We will NEVER be back!
google avatar

Judy M.

Yelp
A group of seven of us came in for lunch today, hoping we could sit together with a view. From the get go, we were treated rudely. We went into the space to see what the availability of tables were, and noted only three other people dining. The hostess curtly said we should have waited to be seated per the sign, but we had come in through the other entrance (and we had not seated ourselves, we were just scouting out the space). We'd asked if we could put two tables together so we could be seated together but were told that they don't do that. No reason except that they had never done it. She offered to get the manager, and he arrived, all full of attitude, as if we were wrong to even ask for this. He escalated into yelling quickly enough. He was so angry and belittling that we decided that we didn't want to eat in this kind of atmosphere and were leaving just as he was banning us from the restaurant, telling us to go eat at Subway. Such awful, unprofessional, and unwelcoming behavior. With a bit of explanation and a small accommodation, he could have had seven meals with drinks, bottles of wine and merchandise purchased by our group. We are not local (and had intended to buy merchandise from the shop), but the locals who brought us here will definitely never be back. What a sour experience this was, and one a professional should have avoided. I think that manager needs anger management training, by the way.

Yelp
Gorgeous spot. Surrounded by the growing grapes and tasting their delicious wines was only made better by the perfectly arranged charcuterie.

Yelp
This winery is lovely - there's no debate there. But besides the stunning views of Blomidon and the Annapolis Valley that you won't find elsewhere, this place is mostly hyped up and super trendy. Wines are decent and they even have a few select reds which is nice and uncommon for Nova Scotia. Old Bill is a nice bold red but they're mostly known for their Phonebox red/white/rosé named after their English-style photo opp phone booth in the middle of the vineyard. If you're coming for the views, you're limited to a tasting inside their little shop and market area or the indoor bar area towards the back. There is a large seating area and a tent outside with food service of a trendy menu. The huge bummer here is that they don't allow you to take your wine into the vineyard. Pretty much all other vineyards in the area will let you take your glass outside and enjoy endless photos in the vineyard. Not here so be prepared to take your pics in the phone booth sans vin. Washrooms are upstairs and are tiny and cramped for a place this size but there is one accessible stall on the main floor. This place is a major stop on the wine bus tours so it gets SUPER busy so be prepared to wait.

Shane S.

Yelp
Have really dumbed down the menu. Food not great. What was once done with care, including the best calamari in all of Nova Scotia is no longer on menu with easy assembly options instead. Whole vibe is now get em in and out.

Yelp
Ambience is terrific, relaxing and inviting. Fabulous desserts and pairing wine. Can't wait to come back to enjoying all again, great overall experience. Ana G-R

Yelp
Great hospitality! Luckett vineyards is a great place to stop by to sample some wine, grab a quick lunch on the patio (amazing view) and take a tour of the vineyard. Don't forget your selfie with the infamous red phone box. Favourite wines : tidal bay white, phone box red, phone box white and the fizz. Food 4/5 Atmosphere 5/5 Service 6/5 Note: still chilly in late MAY, first bud just started. Less crowded during this time. I recommend early June if you're looking to go when it's less crowded and warmer. Tip: A quick tip around the 100ml rule : If you didn't check a bag and are flying DOMESTIC in Canada. You can buy Luckett wine at the airport AFTER security check at the store called "Liquid Assets" and bring it on the plane.

Yelp
Very nice outdoor to sit have a nice lunch with an amazing view on the vineyards! A bit crowded on Sunday with locals but worth the experience. We started with oysters and they were so good especially the one from Eel lake!! Yum yum! After, I had a Cubano with fries. Very good. We enjoyed after that some wine tasting, 5 whites, 1 Rose and 2 Red. My favorite was the Ortega and Tidal bay in white and the Rosetta was smooth and fruity as a Rose. A nice walk into the vineyards was the cherry on the cake! Must pass by if you are in the corner!

Yelp
We had a lovely lunch here. We were in the area to look at the tides. My husband found out that they serve lunch here. It was wonderful. Our server Kyla was very nice. We started with a bottle of the Tidal Pay white wine and on dozen oysters. We got four of three different oysters. It was nice to try different ones from the area. My father ordered the Churchill sandwich, which is basically a roast beef panini. He enjoyed it. My husband got the seafood pie. He also stated it was good. I ordered the cheese board and the seafood chowder. The chowder was perfect. The view is amazing as well. Overall a perfect set up. Who knew a winery could provide such wonderful food. We then did a tasting. $10 for a five taste of your choice or $5 for a three taste of your choice. Most of their wines are good. The server was friendly and helpful. We ended up buying a few bottles of wine. My husband also go to speak to Pete the owner for a bit. He is very proud and hands on. Great to see that in an owner. Overall friendly staff and a nice experience. Highly recommend a stop and a meal here.

Yelp
The wine tasting is good at 3 premium or 5 regular wines for $12 is a good value. The tasting room workers are good people. The Phone Box wines were great for 2018 (but I heard they vary a lot from year to year). The restaurant is a fantastic experience. The waitress and owner are top notch people. They make the excited delightful. The chowder and pies are a must!

Yelp
While the service was good, the food was over-salted and the "Fall Salad" was missing a key ingredient that I had to ask for (and was brought out separately for me to add and mix into my fare later) but it did have oodles of kosher salt grains. The two soups were also too salty. The dining area was cold and even wearing one's jacket did not make it pleasant for dining. I was surprised they did not have heaters as it is a bit like outdoor dining but with glass walls. This was my third visit to Luckett's and it will be my last.

Yelp
Oh Luckett Vineyard, where do I start with you? We came to Luckett's because my SO had been here last year while visiting family and I've been wanting to come here ever since. We decided that we would come for most of the day, taking in a tour, grab some lunch, and do some wine tastings. The Vineyard is located in the Grand Pré area, and it overlooks the valley. Perched up on the hill, the setting is serene and gorgeous. It's one of the most romantic vineyards I have been to, and I've been to a lot! Don't forget to check out their famous phone booth located in the middle of the vineyard... You can call anywhere in North America for free! We got there just as they were opening and jumped into the first tour. It was perfect with there only being 6 of us. We could hear and see everything that our guide was sharing. The tour started in their first field, one of the many they now own throughout the valley. We got to learn all about the process of growing and picking the perfect grapes each season. The passion and romance that goes into making each bottle of wine from Luckett Vineyard is incredible. After seeing where the grapes are grown, we got to see where they are fermented and then left in barrels for the right number of years for aging. After our tour, we headed out to the Crush Pad Bistro to grab lunch. We started with two appetizers for the table: the cheese board and a dip trio. Although I didn't have any of the dips, I was told by the rest of my party that they were delicious. The cheese tray had a wonderful selection of seasonal cheeses and fruit to indulge in. By the time we were done, I didn't know how I was going to be able to manage to eat my Valley Panini that I ordered for an entree. The sandwich I ordered was delicious! Loaded with ham, cheddar, spinach, and apple slices, it was the perfect choice for the hot day. It was served with a Kale salad topped with pancetta and a crostini. I chose to get it without salad dressing, but it does com with a mango-infused Caesar dressing. For dessert, we chose to skip the sweets and go right for the wine tasting. They have a few different tasting options, but we chose to try 5 wines. We broke this down into 3 whites, a fruit wine, and a dessert wine. They were all very enjoyable, but my favourite would have to be the Tidal Bay white. I hope to be able to make it back to Luckett Vineyard again very soon. The atmosphere was amazing, the location is perfect, and it was just an all-around amazing experience.

Yelp
No review can really give Luckett Vineyards it's proper due. It's a truly remarkable place for the atmosphere, the staff, the food and, of course, the wine. Pete Luckett has an incredible knack for executing a concept to near perfection. First, let's talk about the view from the vineyard's patio. Spectacular. I have been visiting the Annapolis Valley pretty much my whole life and this view is one of the best. Go on a clear day when you can see across to the Blomidon Look Off and the tranquil, magical waters of the Bay of Fundy. No picture can truly capture the wonder of it. We were lucky enough to have Pete serve us at the tasting bar when we arrived. He is an avuncular fellow and always has a raffish charm with the ladies. He took a shine immediately to my wife lol He offered us a nice sample of his new white wine and we browsed the food and wine section of the vineyard before being seated. Although it was sunny the day we went, it was a bit chilly and the vineyard knew this - they had wool throws at each table for the guests' comfort. Great establishments anticipate guest needs and deliver with style! We were more hungry than thirsty and ordered straight away from the varied and interesting menu. The menu is chock-a-block with local ingredients and thoughtful suggestions for wine pairings. The local ham and cheese with pear sandwich grabbed my attention (and my stepmom's, she ordered the same), my dad had the ratatouille pie with kale salad, and my lovely wife had the local roast beef sandwich with chips. All were significant dishes for lunch, so be sure to go to Luckett's with an appetite. My sandwich was great - warm ham and melted cheese on a fresh bun melted in my mouth, the pear adding a sweet and intriguing flavour. The beef soup that I ordered as a side was fantastic - hearty and satisfying, rich and savoury, the way a good beef soup should be. My wife's roast beef sandwich was also excellent and served with homemade chips. My dad was very happy with his ratatouille pie, although I am not certain that he enjoyed the kale salad all that much, perhaps because it's just not his thing. Service was courteous and friendly. It took a while for the food to come out, however, the kitchen had just opened for the day, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. PRO TIP - My wife and I ventured down to the red phone booth in the vineyard for a quick photo shoot. We discovered that not only is phone booth fully operational, but that you can also call anywhere in North America for FREE! Amazing. We called her mom in New York, who was thrilled to hear from us on our vacation. Hats off Lucketts, that was a truly nice touch! Luckett Vineyards will most certainly stay on our "must visit" list in Nova Scotia for a very, very long time. Toodlee-doo!

Yelp
We were at Luckett vineyards for a special evening event, the vintage tasting dinner, so this review is of that evening, which may not represent their regular service. This was an amazing evening, with a five course meal paired with various wines from the vineyard. It's a beautiful setting, perched on the south mountain with a view of the valley and cape blomidon which goes on forever on a clear day. We were seated on the outdoor terrace. The evening kicked off with some of the sparkling wine, labelled as "Fizz", a delightful off-dry wine, very refreshing when served with some yummy snow crab, cucumber and foie gras bites. First course was paired with a white, a lovely fresh vegetable medley. Then there were scallops, cooked to absolute perfection. Third up, and moving on to the reds, we had duck breast followed by lamb. Dessert was a delicious cherry chocolate vanilla confection served with the ice wine... divine! The owner, Pete Luckett, was present all evening and made a point of visiting each table to say hello. Service was on point, well paced and friendly. They even accommodated my dad who doesn't like lamb, and substituted steak for his fourth course (with advance notice). Really a spectacular night, showcasing the local produce and Pete's wines, which are getting better and better. The Fizz and the ice wine in particular are standouts. If you get the opportunity to attend an event like this, you are in for an amazing treat.

Yelp
When the girls call and say "let's eat lunch at a vineyard" you say yes ! Luckett Vineyard is an hour drive from downtown Halifax, not far from the town of Wolfville. The views from the bistro are beautiful with a large tented terrace that overlooks the valley below, Blomidon and the Minas Basin. All dining is al fresco and if it's a bit chilly the staff provides fleece blankets, a nice touch. The menu offers a variety of options. Something for everyone food wise & a nice selection of wines, because, well, it is a vineyard ! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal of pan fried haddock with a delicious parsnip puree, slaw & seasonal salsa. Paired with a glass of their crisp & fruity Rosetta wine made for an enjoyable & tasty meal. Friendly and attentive servers kept pace with the quickly filling tables. Well worth a return visit.

Yelp
For those of you who don't already know, Luckett's is owned and run by the famous Pete, of Fruitique fame. The man who did more to promote Sunday trading in Nova Scotia than anyone else. Mr Luckett moved into wine making some years ago and this is his place. Situated in the Valley, it has as fine a view as you could wish for. Here you can take a tour of the winery; dine on the terrace in season, or in the restaurant if wet; taste and buy the many different wines produced; browse a very wide selection of local confections, such as jellies, jams and pickles. None of it will come particularly cheap, but you won't feel gouged either. Four of us visited in the early Autumn of 2018, on a sunny if not overly hot day and were honoured to be attended to by Pete himself who seems as irrepressibly full of life as ever. England's loss was definitely Canada's gain. A very fine lunch was enjoyed by all, washed down with a variety of the winery's output, followed up by an educational and reasonably priced tasting at the bar. This is a great day out, especially on a nice day, though beware that it's also a very popular day out, so it can get a bit crowded in season.

Yelp
I enjoyed a beautiful afternoon visiting the Valley! I have travelled extensively and was delighted to finally give this local gem a try. When I entered Luckett 's Vineyards, it was extremely busy on the retail and restaurant side despite the day being a little overcast and chilly. Wow, did the food and service deliver! Chef Lambert 's dishes were light, delicious, and fresh. The team was beyond accommodating and knowledgeable. Please believe the reviews! This place and experience is not to be missed! Thank you Chef Lambert for all you do!

Yelp
While this location is lovely the experience leaves a lot to be desired. The bloke that was the tour guide clearly liked to hear himself talk and rambled on for over half an hour before we saw any wine. He needs to leave politics out of his presentation. As he was not from the US, we had no interest in his views on US politics. We came in a large group and paid way too much for this excursion to just get a $5 tasting and two half glasses of wine and a sandwich. The winery also was quite a bit behind serving us lunch and dessert. We ended up leaving 30 minutes late at an already overly long visit. As for the wine quality itself, it was not for my palette nor most anyone else's. I understand the difficulty of producing wine in this region. Just don't come here expecting something comparable to the Napa cab you might drink back home.
google avatar

Wayne C.

Yelp
Although I'm not a huge fan of Luckett's wines, I think it's definitely worth visiting for the view. Overlooking the vineyard and valley below, it's hard to find a more breath taking view in the area. The food is hit and miss but seems to change from season to season. On one occasion the food seemed quite impressive but on my last visit I was under-whelmed and thought the menu lacked variety. I understand it's hard to stay consistent with a changing menu, but there should be more one viable dining choice. I did see a oyster bar last time I was there and I always have love for my oysters. All in all a beautiful place but the menu can sometimes be restrictive.
google avatar

Yelp
The Pete's Frootique empire grows! We stopped by the Luckett Vineyards on our own makeshift winery tour through the Gaspereau Valley recently and was charmed by the modern, quirky, yet upscale feel of the place. Perfect example: there's a big red British phone booth in the middle of the first vineyard you'll see which apparently lets visitors make free phone calls to anywhere in Canada. Hilarious! There's a small patio with a handful of tables for lunches off the small but delectable menu featuring all local ingredients. Plus, a gourmet cheese case on site will hook you up with everything you need for a custom wine-and-cheese picnic if you're into that sort of thing. Which, let's face it, who isn't?
google avatar

Shauna M.

Yelp
This vineyard is beautiful and elegant. Pete the owner is so friendly and always engaging with his customers which shows how much he values his business. You can sit down for lunch, which has a view that overlooks the vineyard and Gaspereau Valley. The service is excellent and the food/presentation is very appealing. My favorite food item is the steak and mushroom pot pie, it tastes like a grandmothers homemade dish. And of course don't forget the wine, it's a huge selection. The Black Cab is my favorite for a nice red and Tidal Bay for a refreshing white.
google avatar

Maheen C.

Yelp
A beautiful find on our way to Digby. The service, ambience and food was perfect. If you are looking to try some local vine and sit on a patio, this is the place to be.
google avatar

Heather B.

Yelp
The wine here is good. Knowledgeable bartenders. Overall, I thought it felt very touristy. Hoards of people unloading off the bus, crowding the space. Also, it lacked free seating to just sit and enjoy a glass of wine. The only places to sit really were in the restaurant.
google avatar

Kait H.

Yelp
Enjoyed a glass of wine and a spot of lunch on the patio. The seafood chowder and steak and mushroom pie was delicious - great flavours. Service was friendly and quick as well.
google avatar

Kevin W.

Yelp
A very picturesque spot to sample wines or have a nice lunch. Generally we try to get here early before the wine tour buses arrive and before the lunch rush starts. The main building is very clean and interesting to tour. You can buy a variety of cheeses, food s and wines. You can host private events here or just eat lunch on the patio. The food is very good (we haven't been disappointed with anything on the menu yet). The views from the patio of Blomidon and the valley are wonderful. It can be cold when windy so bring a sweater. They kindly provided everyone with blankets. An interesting attraction here is a British phone booth right in the vineyard that lets you call long distance anywhere in the world for free.
google avatar

Frederick F.

Yelp
I really can't speak more highly of this place. The food, wine, service and vistas were all well above expectation. I think I liked the panini, Caesar salad, charcuterie and Buried Red the best but the Tidal Bay white was also quite exceptional. Apparently you can actually make calls from the old red phone box amidst the vines.
google avatar

Yelp
Great! But, beware of unpleasant 'surprises' in your food. Tucked away in a little unassuming area of Nova Scotia, this little vineyard has a certain Mediterranean charm that makes you feel like you're miles away from Canada. The store - which is the first section of a multipart winery and restaurant - is beautifully decorated with light blond shelves displaying wines and a variety of accoutrements including cheeses, cured meats, serve ware and olives. Opposite of the shelves is a large wine tasting area where you can sample 3 wines for $5 or 5 wines for $10. We tried the 5 and enjoyed the Rieslings, Fizz and Rosetta. In addition to producing wines, Luckett's also produces their own olive oil and when we went, blueberries from their fields. As for the vineyard itself, guests are allowed to tour the grounds at their own leisure. Having been to many vineyards on the west coast, we spent very little time doing this but provided a nice walk on a beautiful day. For those interested, there is the ubiquitous red phone booth for which the vineyard uses as a mascot located on the grounds for fun photos. The most enticing reason and why we (and hundreds of others who were also there on the same day) chose to visit the vineyard though, is the on-site restaurant. Situated on the patio directly outside of the winery/store, the bistro overlooks the vineyard with the Bay of Fundy in the distance and is decorated with olive trees and beautiful flowers. We were lucky and managed to get a table within 15 minutes of putting our names down, but noticed at least 20 others in line behind us. The Bistro was very busy with all staff going at high gear including the owner who was running around seating people and clearing tables. It was a little windy that day, but the restaurant had a large supply of blankets for everyone. Having already had lunch but not being able to resist how good everything looked, we ordered the mussels and the charcuterie platter. The mussels were hands down the best mussels we had in all of Nova Scotia (I tried 7 other restaurants). They were perfectly cooked, fresh and seasoned impeccably. But, the star of the show was definitely the charcuterie platter. It was put together SO beautifully and packed full of veggies, olives, bread, meats and other accompaniments. I would say this is the best charcuterie platter I've ever seen... Until we found a big hairy black fly (quite dead) marinated in with the peppers. Maybe because the platter was so beautiful that the sight of the fly was especially repugnant, but we lost our appetite for the platter right after. Upon notifying our server, he was open to getting us a new platter but we were a little put off to want a second one. I'm not sure if this is a common occurrence here, but the server excused what happened with the fact that we were in an outdoor setting and this was a risk for being in nature. Thinking back, this would have been a reasonable justification if the fly had flown into our food. But it was already dead and folded into the roasted peppers, indicating this happened within the kitchen (not outdoors). All in all, based on the setting and food (great mussels and from what we did get to eat from the platter - about 15%), I would recommend checking this place out. I would however, check the food very carefully unless you're interested in having more exotic sources of protein.

Yelp
Our conference stoppped here for lunch and tastings in the field. Lunch was good, sandwiches and salads, they made sure we had lots. I personally bought the Dragon breath blue cheese to share for dessert. It's one of the only unique cheeses in Nova Scotia. The wines were impressive, even the reds ;)
google avatar

Hugh M.

Yelp
Pete does it again. This is is our special occasion place that has now become a regular place. We usually head out to LV for lunch and wine tastings but now we also do dinners here. You really can't go wrong, the wines are fine tuned to the food and the food is out of this world. Speaking of out of this world it doesn't hurt that they have one of the best views on earth. This outdoor eating experience looks from up on the side of a hill, the hands down best view of the UNESCO World Heritage site Grand Pre, Nova Scotia. It's just above the vineyard where there is a contrasting and quite appropriate considering the owner, English Phone box right in the middle of the rows of gorgeous grape vines. You want to have your significant other swoon over you? It's easy, take them here and you hit instant god status. I'm not just bragging, it's true, try it. Best eating experience in Nova Scotia hands down. Pete! Nice job again, but we need a Piano Player now!!!

Yelp
This is one of my favourite vineyards to enjoy a charcuterie board with a nice glass of wine. Pete has done a fantastic job developing this winery, from the million dollar view, to the pretty impressive wine bar to the meticulously kept gardens and of course the food and serving staff. It is not uncommon for Pete, the owner to seat customers and bus their tables afterwards. My favourite wine is "Wild Bill" (aka Black Cabernet) with Phone Box Red a quick second. I highly recommend this establishment if you have never been.

Yelp
I stopped by Luckett Vineyards during a trip to the valley on a chilly fall day and it ended up being the perfect way to end the afternoon. The grounds are beautiful - there's a big red phone booth in the middle of one of the vineyards that will let you call anywhere in North America, but I just used it to snap a whimsical Polaroid shot. I can't wait to return next summer and have a picnic. Boyfriend and I shared the cheese plate, and I had a delicious veggie sandwich while he warmed up with some tomato and cracked pepper soup, which came with a warm flaky biscuit. The food was all really tasty, and I thought the prices were pretty good for a vineyard. The soup, sandwich, cheese plate, two non-alcoholic beverages and a bottle of apple cranberry wine to take home all came to around $45, with tax. And Pete Luckett himself gave us each a glass of wine to taste while waiting in line!

Yelp
We stopped in here for lunch on a beautiful, sunny and hot Sunday over Thanksgiving weekend and we weren't disappointed! Because of the unseasonably warm temps, we were able to sit at a table outside in the shade to enjoy our food and wine. The store inside is not a huge space, but it's nicely laid out and bright. The lunch menu also was not very large, but more than one thing sounded delish (sometimes quality is better than quantity). I decided on the veggie sandwich, which had roasted portabellos, asparagus, peppers, etc, and a tasty mayo-like dressing (not sure what was in it, but I liked it) on a ciabatta style bun. It all tasted really fresh and flavourful. $9 for a sandwich with no side (except for a few olives and an apple slice) is a bit steep, but also to be expected for a winery. I hope they expand the restaurant portion a bit more in the future because I think they could do some wonderful dishes - and they have such a lovely setting I know they would have no trouble attracting people to eat dinner there! Our table overlooked some rows of grape vines, which were not very tall yet but still pretty. A wonderful view of the Valley fields and fluffy clouds spread out beyond that - we almost felt like we could be in Tuscany with that view (plus our tasty wine and food)! The authentic red British phone booth in the middle of the field is just the best! You can call anywhere in North America toll-free from that phone - how genius is that?! What a fun idea...my mom called my brother in Vancouver and said "guess where I am?!". It was pretty funny, and extremely unique - I have never seen a feature like that anywhere else. It adds a bit of British whimsy and humour to the vineyard, which could otherwise be a fairly stuffy environment. Keep on keepin' on, Pete.

Yelp
As your eyes soaks in the views from the vineyard, the landscape will leave you breathless. We went at dusk and enjoyed a sun kissed horizon, allowing us to truly experience this side of the province. Placed in the middle of the vineyard rows, the British phone box was a nice touch and slightly surreal. I was very impressed with the staff and the owner. They went above and beyond in accommodating us, ensuring that our visit was top notch. It also didn't hurt that they named a wine after me (Helena) -:). This is a must see in Nova Scotia.

Yelp
This is a beautiful little gem of a spot that for a minute or two makes me feel like I'm back in Napa Valley. Pete has opened up a lovely winery on the "wrong" side of the hill which gives it some amazing views. The tasting room is bright and airy and the bar is beautiful. I like that they let you choose which wines you want to try when you're doing the tasting. The cellar room is beautiful with wine aging in the wooden barrels. The custom table and chandelier are gorgeous. This spot is rented out for private events Light fare is served on the crush pad outdoors and is a great spot to grab a bite to eat. They serve soups, salads, sandwiches etc. All tasty and refreshing and of course you have to have a bottle or two of wine with your meal.

Yelp
Omg. Luckett Vineyard is the best. You just need to go. It's the best place for lunch. The view is incredible. You are treated to this gorgeous view of the valley with their iconic phone booth in the forefront as you dine on some wonderful fare on the patio. We started with the fruit and cheese platter and it was beautiful and really filling. I am sorry I almost can't write this review, I need to write a book. So much to say, so much to love. The fruit and cheese are mostly local and all the cheese is available for purchase in the store. There were some great cheeses. None of them sucked except for blue cheese, because gross. My favourite was the smoked gouda. I ordered the Churchill sandwich to go with our platter. Big mistake. I thought a super fancy place like this would have small portions for the price. Nope. Two big sandwich halfs that were just so tasty. And a kale Caesar salad with homemade mango caesar dressing :). Yummy. Okay. I could go on but it's five stars for obvious reasons. Our favourite wine was the Rosetta, the sparkling peach and the Riesling ice wine but there are lots of good ones to try. Only downside is that you have to pay for a tasting but I would say it's worth it. It will get busy so get there early and get there before 11 so you can get the free tour first. Enjoy :)

Yelp
They've put tremendous effort into the restaurant and store, making an outstanding experience. Come for the wine, but stay for the food, especially the seafood chowder!

Yelp
We stopped in on a very busy, very hot summer day. I thought the wait for a table to eat would be too long, but there is a lot of seating, allowing for frequent turnover. Pete was there to greet and seat people, and his personality is great for the setting. The view out the vineyard was gorgeous. The food was extremely tasty. The serving size is reasonable, and we thought the cost/quality ratio of the food was excellent. The wine we enjoyed with our meal was very good, but I really wish a sample board of wine was available in the restaurant. Before leaving, we had the 5-wine sampler inside. A couple of the wines I chose were not to my taste, but I bought 6 bottles of wine before leaving. We will be back!

Yelp
It's very rare that I give 5 stars. Had wanted to try here for a couple of years now, and finally got to, as one of the stops on the Magic Winery tour bus in Wolfville. Arrived a bit after 2pm on a perfect, cloudless Thursday in October. Several of us on the bus were quite hungry, so we went straight for the outdoor tables to get some lunch. It was quite chilly to eat outside, as one would expect in October, but we were provided with blankets to wrap ourselves in at the table. I found this to be quite fun and something I won't forget in the near future. The outdoor seating area is under some white tents overlooking one of the most beautiful Nova Scotia views around, the full Gaspereau Valley. (check out the photos) Our server, Roxanne, was very friendly. My partner and I split a bottle of the Phone Box White wine, which I had had before, and knew I liked. As an appetizer, we ordered a bowl of marinated olives and roasted almonds (which I don't see on their online menu, but were delicious...$6 I think, and you got a lot). For my meal, I had the Ratatouille & Apple Wood Cheddar Pie ($10 Layered Eggplant, zucchini, tomato, onion, smoked apple wood cheddar, provolone, fresh basil & balsamic drizzle. Topped with a savory biscuit crust.) which was delicious and served in a square slice, similar to a serving of lasagna. My side was the Kale Salad ($4.50 Fresh Kale, sultana, pickled onion, quinoa, toasted almonds, wine vinaigrette) which was very flavorful and fresh. My partner had the daily special, not on the menu, Chicken Pot Pie. Can't remember the price but figure it was about $10 as well, with a side of Warm Mango Caesar ($4.50 Grilled romaine heart, House mango & garlic dressing, crispy lardon, crostini, shaved rosemary Asiago). He said both of these were amazing! They looked great from what I could tell too. After our meal, we went inside for some tastings and both chose the '5 wines for $10' deal, allowing the bartender to recommend the best selling varieties, versus us trying to make the impossible decision of picking some when they all sound good! lol I think my favorite walking away from the tasting was their blackberry dessert wine, which I regretfully don't see on their website at the moment, so figure it's only available at the winery itself. Feel free to correct me/comment on here if I'm wrong. Another fun experience is the British phone booth that sits out among the grape vine rows, popular photo opp, but also has free calls to anywhere in Canada. Marketing genius, I must say. Pete himself said a quick and friendly hello as I was entering the ladies' room and he was walking past. I can't wait to come back here next year in the spring or summer for another lunch and tasting. Recommend to all!

Yelp
This is a gorgeous vineyard and the staff here are very accommodating. If you get a chance, do a tour and learn a little more about this awesome place. The grounds are lovely, the wine tastings are very reasonable, and you will want to go back. Its was a little busy when arrived on Saturday, so we came back on Sunday morning to take a few pictures and get some more cheese, which was delicious. Our guide from the day before remembered us right away, which was awesome. We made two calls from the phone booth and there was not a person in sight or waiting in line. I really want to eat at the restaurant when we return.

Yelp
Stunning views, amazing wines, great food and if you are lucky - Pete will drop by and check in on you. The general store carries great cheeses, olives, and other goodies.

Yelp
Yesterday my friends and I hopped on the Magic Wine Bus for my bachelorette celebrations and decided to use 2 hours and have lunch at the winery. We couldn't have been happier. My friend ran over and made a reservation for lunch, we were told it would be about 20 minutes. We enjoyed the grounds and our complimentary wine from the bus. Mr. Pete Luckett showed us to our seats and we had appetizers, a bottle of wine and some amazing lunch. All in great time, all within our 2 hours in the vineyard. We were graced by Pete's dog Chuck who likes to eat chips. He was shooed away by Pete but it was just too cute. One of the waitresses brought me a complimentary glass of their white fizz and it was excellent. Lucketts vineyard really was an exceptional time for one of my most memorable parties with close friends.

Yelp
Venue - 5 stars Food quality - 4 stars Service - 1 star The vineyard itself is gorgeous - stunning views, lovely outdoor seating. The food was quite good, a little pricey, but tasty. Between our group we had the Churchill panini (very tasty), the baked Brie (lovely) and the cheese plate. All recommended. The service was pretty disappointing. Particularly our servers knowledge of wine - I asked for something sweet like a moscato, and went with her recommendation - I ended up receiving something more akin to a Chardonnay. I ended up sending it back, and was pretty disappointed, especially considering it's a winery. She was also fairly slow to bring anything out (water, food, bill). Overall I'd go back for the views but avoid ordering anything.

Yelp
We came here for lunch after driving to the Valley from Halifax. It was very busy but we were seated quickly in a large tent just outside the main building. Mr. Luckett himself was seating people as they arrived. I had the seafood chowder, which was delicious. My dining companions had the avocado toast and the chicken pot pie, which were also reported as delicious. I had a glass of Phone Box Red, which I really enjoyed. Our server was very pleasant. After lunch we walked out to the red phone booth in the middle of the vines - an excellent location for a picture! We were entertained by the young children in the phone booth trying to figure out how to operate the rotary dial phone. Overall it was a nice lunch and good value for money.

Yelp
My hubby and I went here for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. The view is fabulous, the staff are personable and the wine is extraordinary. Prices are great and the meal we ate in the restaurant was perfect. I tell everyone I know how good this place was and can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Wine is excellent, we had the white phone box, love the Faucets and if you're cold they give you blankets!

Yelp
One of Nova Scotia's famous vineyards. We came on a day where there was a bus tour-load of people so the deli/bar/wine shop was packed and the service at the till was very slow. We came here for lunch but again, although the place was busy, it was easily manageable except the staff were not prepared. So there was a long wait for tables to turnover, long wait for a waiter to greet us at our table and a long long wait for the food. This would not have normally mattered as we were on holiday but we were travelling with a hungry toddler and his grilled cheese sandwich was not served first although we asked. When the food came, the soup of the day we were served was not the one our server had informed us. The food itself was okay, very small portions. The wine was delicious. We tried a Red Phonebox which was full of berry flavours and a Blackcab, which was drier and more plummy. On our way out, we picked up some Pete's olives and they were out of this world - mmm mmm mm mustardy flavours! I would recommend a visit to the wine bar and the deli but would skip the lunch in the marquee in cold weather!

Yelp
View beautiful and gets 5 stars but lunch only 3 stars. Servers need more training. Extremely slow. And they waited on people who were seated 10 minutes after we were seated before waiting on us. Not right. And it wasn't even crowded. Fish tacos need more flavour. Seafood chowder good.
