14 Places to Go Glamping in Texas

"Lucky Arrow Retreat in Dripping Springs offers an array of glamping experiences, including cabins, safari tents, yurts, and porch houses. The 16 Courtyard Cabins are grouped together in fours around a courtyard with two hot tubs and a fire pit, while the Breezeway Cabins have their own hot tubs and large breezeway. Porch Houses have their own private chiminea fire pits and wraparound covered porches, while yurts offer a more rustic experience — there’s no private bathroom, but a common shower house is nearby. Three safari tents all have clawfoot tubs and a record player, and everyone has access to the communal BYOB beer garden, heated pool, and ax-throwing area." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Lucky Arrow Retreat (Dripping Springs, Texas) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The Texas Hill Country, outside of Austin, is increasingly home to stylish, boutique-influenced hotels and resorts; Lucky Arrow Retreat is among the most decidedly rural of them, set on 15 acres of land a few miles outside the town of Dripping Springs. Accommodations include 10 sizeable (and comfortable) yurts, 20 modern-rustic cabins, and a handful of freestanding Porch Houses, each with a wraparound porch as well as sleeper sofas and kitchenettes — plus the Ranch House, a full-size, self-contained four-bedroom residence. Among the diversions are the bath house and pool, as well as a multitude of local adventures, and the surrounding area is home to plenty of restaurants, breweries, and wineries." - Tablet Hotels

It’s a cute site! Came for a wedding on the property! Overall had a great time, and split my highs and lows below: A few highlights: the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the site is truly gorgeous! Plus the food is delicious and having it available at different spots was great! A few downsides: the wifi on the site is dependent on where you are. Our room was a bit further which meant spotty at best and missed a couple texts from friends because of the service. Also, depending on room location, it isn’t quite as walkable as I had hoped. Especially at night and with limited lighting in some areas Overall, it was a great stay and I am happy to have went and hope that they continue to grow and adapt! :)

My husband and I came for a weekend to celebrate my birthday. We rented a yurt and then ended up extending our stay (because we loved it so much) and booked a safari tent for our last night. Both rooms were unique in their own way but equally fun and beautiful! The pool is great and all of the staff were incredibly nice and helpful. We definitely will be coming back!

We hosted a private event at Lucky Arrow this past week and every part of it was phenomenal. It is a great spot for a one day event/retreat, not just for weekend stays. The venue and grounds are great, with ample space to pull off just about any event you have in mind. Tiffany (who helps with the event coordination) was beyond amazing with helping us pull the event together from start to finish, and all of the staff present at the event were helpful and attentive. If you are looking for a great spot to host an event, Lucky Arrow is it!

This was one of my all-time favorite weekends at this retreat. The cabins were simply, yet perfectly curated, with a rustic, luxurious feel. Everything was neat and clean, including the pool areas and bath house. Can't wait to come back with the kids!

Google
We only used the pool for the day which was awesome. Has a great rustic cozy atmosphere. Great relaxing day in the sun. Regarding the drinks though I highly recommend you take your own.... the mixed drinks from the bar are awful. The watermelon margarita and pina colada etc tasted like little kids drinks, way to sweet and barely any alcohol. Not worth the price at all!!! Other than that amazing place!

This review is for private events. ||They don't answer their phone, it takes several days up to several weeks to get a response, often with incomplete or conflicting information - or sometimes never getting questions answered at all. They don't talk to each other so they can double book across salespeople, or across events like weddings & events promoting their property - make sure you know exactly what's on the books, what's in your contract, if you have to book alcohol through them, and get everything in writing.||I couldn't get clear pricing and felt swindled into the biggest package as if there was no other option, and then they 4x-ed the cost of alcohol on top of the already costly venue rental. It's important to look at all up costs for the full wedding knowing you'll be 12.5K or more for the physical location, tables and chairs. Pictures from their brochure don't represent their inventory, such as arches.||Be prepared to take care of every single last detail down to bringing your own trash bags. I would only recommend booking here if you have a coordinator that will do it all - definitely not just day of - and full staff catering that includes staff, rentals, all food, and bar. You'll need separate lighting. We piece-mealed it together not realizing how much had to be done to make this venue function for an event, which ended up costing us at least 3-4x what a more inclusive venue would have, totally 18 vendors throughout the weekend.||There are only snacks onsite, a food truck seems usually open next door for lunch, but otherwise, we fed our guests all meals through the weekend else they'd be driving into town or all BYO, which would hard for those flying in to get glamping / grilling in order. People were always on the search for water, the speakers in the beer garden weren't working and had to be fixed. They are way understaffed so ordering drinks from the pool is unreliable, for example.||Individuals were really nice. It just felt understaffed, that they weren't empowered to make decisions or make things happen, that their systems aren't set up for error proof processes. It was honestly a huge mess. I near risked my job to find the time to do all the necessary planning to get through it.||In the end, guests loved the property, the thoughtfully designed cabins, the pools, eating under the trees, the view from the overlook, many spaces to spend quality time together and rooftop dancing. So the ultimate guest experience is why I'm giving them any stars, but it was a terrible, stressful, heavy planning and execution experience from the bride's vantage point to pull it off.

Google
What a gem! They have carefully curated the perfect blend of romance and family fun. We stayed in the safari tent and it was delightful. The only thing better than the gorgeous property (the pool and beer garden are a must) is the phenomenal service we received from the moment we arrived until we had to sadly say goodbye - until next time!

My wife booked Lucky Arrow Retreat for my 50th birthday party, and honestly, I’m starting to think she peaked. There’s no topping this. This place? Unreal. The location feels like Texas got a glow-up, went to therapy, and found inner peace. The cabins are so well designed I felt like I was staying in a Wes Anderson film if Wes Anderson discovered bourbon and BBQ. The staff? Telepathic hospitality wizards. I swear someone handed me a cold drink before I even realized I was thirsty. “Impeccable” is for dress shirts and dental hygiene. This was transcendent. “Astronomically awesome” doesn’t get halfway to the moon. Lucky Arrow isn’t a hidden gem it’s a radiant meteor crash-landed in the Hill Country, and somehow there’s WiFi. This wasn’t just a 50th birthday. It was a spiritual awakening with better lighting. If you’re thinking of booking, do it. Just don’t blame me when everything else in life starts to feel a little mediocre by comparison.

Yelp
We recently hosted our company retreat at Lucky Arrow Retreat, and I can't say enough good things about the experience. From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyable. Every single person on their team was warm, friendly, and truly invested in ensuring we had everything we needed. The food was consistently a hit with our group--creative, delicious, and beautifully prepared. Any minor issues that popped up were handled quickly and professionally, which made the logistics of our retreat so much smoother. A very special shoutout to Jazmin, who helped me plan the event--her attention to detail and partnership made the entire experience not only successful but genuinely fun to organize. Our retreat was a big success, and Lucky Arrow played a huge role in that. I've already recommended the venue to several colleagues looking for a thoughtful, well-run, and picturesque retreat location. We would absolutely return! Thank you, Lucky Arrow, for your outstanding hospitality.

Yelp
Came to Lucky Arrow for a week long company offsite in Austin. So many moving parts to a company retreat, seeing people get litty outside of the office is always a blast. People drop the masks they wear all day and you get to see true colors. From a social dynamics purpose, I love it. I won't go too deep into all that though. Lucky Arrow is the definition of glamping. We each got our own cabin, and there is a main building with a beautiful pool and outdoor bar. It's iconic really. At night, you got a clear view of the stars. I feel so connected to the creator when I get a clear view of the un-light polluted night sky, especially when I'm sitting in one of the outdoor hot tubs here. I felt like I'm Matthew Mcconaughay in Interstellar. However, there were a few major negatives: 1) The wifi wasn't working in my cabin, and was still pretty shaky in the main hall which was much less than ideal. We were here Sunday-Thursday so wifi was absolutely essential, especially in a sales job where the quota doesn't stop for a company offsite. 2) The mosquitos were having a FIELD DAY. When I arrived, I was going Rambo on the 10+ little blood suckers that were already in my cabin. I would try to sit outside on the little porch in the morning, but would get eaten alive by them and would have to go inside within 10 minutes. I've never seen this many mosquitos in one place. I legit had 50+ mosquito bites when I got back to NYC, but I probably killed just as many so my K/D ratio was around 1-1. I'd come back 1000%, but I hope they fix the wifi and can somehow tame these mosquitos. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

Yelp
LAR is a cool spot. It has fancy tents (aka Yurts) that we stayed in before, and a range of cabins, we stayed in this visit. The cabins have either shared fire pits or private chimineas and picnic tables and many have hot tubs. All are nice. They have a cool pool area, now with two pools. For our CA / TX friends, they have private cabanas. They have a section under development with antique airstreams that will be available in near future. I see some negative reviews and understand them; however, this is fancy camping. Staff is limited. Prices are high / appropriate to operate this large 10+ acre spot where everything is a challenge. Think, minimal city services.... and creating everything vs just hooking up. This is not the best spot for people who have mobility challenges as it is a lot of gravel, grades, and natural terrain. It is a great spot for the right crowd to have an event or get together. If you have too many grandmas in heals or high maintenance CA ;) friends (joking), not the best place for your event.

Yelp
Lucky arrow is about 45 minutes away from the Austin airport so prepared to rent a car or take an Uber. I would also recommend scheduling any Ubers to the airport because apparently there aren't a lot of Uber drivers in the area usually so there might be a long wait times. The staff at this retreat are so friendly and they offer a really fun activities like s'mores by the fire pit, ax, throwing, cowboy hat, decorating, etc. The food was OK, it wasn't the best food I've ever had but it also wasn't the worst lol Nothing to write home about but still decent. The cabins are amazing but they do get pretty cold when it's freezing outside so I wish they had blankets or thicker comforters because even with the heater on it was still pretty cold. The campsite itself and the rooms are both beautiful and it was great to be out in nature and see all of the stars.

Yelp
Houstonian here at the Lucky Arrow Retreat! What an amazing place to come and get away from the congested city of Houston. Whether you want to hike trails or relax at the pool this place has it all with amazing views of the hill country. Our second time here this summer and are definitely coming back! Highly recommend it and it is dog friendly!

Yelp
Highly recommend the Lucky Arrow Retreat! It's a very beautiful property with different accommodations and super friendly staff. Very pet friendly. Actually has private side entrance to Bell Springs winery and that's pet friendly too! This is our second time and we will be back. Thank you David for such great service and pool bar is also great service.

Yelp
I wanted to give Lucky Arrow 5-stars, but we were kept up all night by loud party-goers. However, the facilities are wonderful, it is walking distance to Bell Springs Winery, and the management addressed the extremely rude situation with a sincere and professionalism apology the next morning. If quiet hours were enforced, five stars would be warranted.

Yelp
Was excited to stay in a porch house with our family until we found fuzzy MOLD growing in multiple areas, along with mildew in the shower. Our daughter had allergy symptoms within minutes of being in the cabin. Given that this was not a safe environment for our family, we only stayed one night and weren't given a refund for the remaining nights. We were told they would 'bleach the shower' (which, according to the EPA, does not remove spores) but mold was also outside of the shower. Bunk houses like this one, with active mold and water damage, need to be completely remediated before they're safe for guests. ** If you have autoimmune issues, mold sensitivity, or care about your health overall, DON'T stay here.

Yelp
Austin and his wife Rachel run a spectacular retreat in the ATX Hill Country of Dripping Springs. It was the perfect setting for our company retreat with team members traveling in from Buenos Aires to Canada to enjoy a big heapin slice of Texas! While there's no need to leave the property, Lucky Arrow is located conveniently within walking distance to wineries with an HEB grocery, coffee shop, etc just a couple miles away. They have a WONDERFUL coffee bar on site in their charming general store/front desk area. The pools are luxurious and resort like situated adjacent to a fun game room with shuffleboard, arcade games and axe throwing! The yurts and cabins are to die for equipped with record players, personal coffee makers, bath robes and your own Yeti cooler with an ice pack ready to frost your bevos! Oh and don't worry, they're air conditioned too! The event hall is a perfect space for gathering for meals and team building community and conversations. The property was perfect for playing our final day Color Wars Challenge before we turned the event space into a space rave with DJ at night! I would absolutely return with girlfriends as an easy access getaway staycation for a night or two very soon! Thank you Trimble Family and Co!

Yelp
Important Warning: Do Not Book This Venue Without an experienced Wedding Planner and Clear, Written Agreements for Every Detail Our wedding day was beautiful, but the process of working with Lucky Arrow Retreat was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. If you're considering this venue, please do yourself a favor and avoid it unless you have a wedding planner and everything you want explicitly documented in writing. The issues started early and persisted throughout our planning. We experienced a constant turnover of staff, poor communication, and overall disorganization. I am genuinely amazed that our wedding day went off without a major hitch, and I attribute that to our exceptional wedding planner rather than the venue. Our initial visit to the venue in September 2023 was marred by a mistake in our booking. We had arranged to stay two nights, but they only booked us for one, leaving us scrambling to find last-minute accommodations. This should have been our first warning, but we overlooked it, reassured by their help in finding another place to stay. After deciding to book the venue for our June wedding, we made it clear that our top priority was having a fireworks show. Sophie, our initial contact, assured us that this was possible NUMEROUS TIMES. However, after signing the contract, we discovered that the venue had altered their policy to prohibit fireworks. This led to a prolonged and exhausting series of communications as we tried to find a solution, which ultimately involved hosting the fireworks at a neighboring property. This process dragged on for months, filled with broken promises and constant follow-ups. Guest accommodations were another headache. Their website was difficult to navigate, leading to numerous booking issues, and some guests had to change rooms during the weekend. It was chaotic and frustrating, adding unnecessary stress to our wedding plans. The weekend itself, while filled with joy and celebration, was spoiled by several issues: the restaurant was closed and food was not easily accessible for guests without transportation, the pool was very dirty, and the A/C in many rooms, and the event space failed during the hottest time of the year. To top it all off, the property was also riddled with multiple safety hazards, leading to several guests and vendors falling and injuring themselves. After the wedding, the situation only worsened. We were blindsided by additional fees, including a $250 charge for "clearing brush" for the fireworks, which was never communicated to us beforehand. To add insult to injury, after the event concluded we were told conflicting information about the cost of the property rental for our fireworks show by different staff members and asked to send them a check for more money to cover the difference. This left us feeling misled and frustrated. We asked to speak with hirer management to address these concerns but were ghosted. Despite these challenges, we made the most of our time with friends and family. The venue was beautiful, and we appreciated the freedom to create the wedding we envisioned. However, the numerous issues we encountered significantly overshadowed the positives. In conclusion: Be extremely cautious if you choose this venue. Ensure that every detail is in writing, and do not underestimate the importance of having a wedding planner. The stress and frustration we endured were simply not worth it.

Yelp
I have been to Lucky Arrow once before but only using a day pool pass. This year my wife and I have been working more than we'd like to be and admittedly its been hard to step out of work mode. For our one year anniversary we decided to come back to Lucky Arrow for our own one-on-one retreat. It was amazing! My wife goes "See, this is why we need to getaway more often". Here are some notes on our experience: - There are different types of living arrangements. Some for one or two people, and then we also saw a group of Anesthesiologist there for a weekend work retreat. - Its a custom journey. You can be social and meet other people at the pool or other common areas. Or, you can retreat back to your place for some getaway time. We hung out by our firepit at the end of the night and read under the stars. It was great. - My wife commented on the attention to details and how well thought out the rooms were. She would ask "I could really use xyz" and then she suddenly found exactly what she was looking for. There were also smores supplies left in the cabin, similar to how resorts may leave chocolate covered strawberries on your bed for when you arrive. It was like being a kid again. - The place isn't up-tight and relaxed which we appreciated. - The rooms were well air-conditioned and we slept well. At first though, the light from the air-conditioning unit was bother some. We like it very dark when we sleep so we put a towel over the light and it all worked out. - Food options on the property are limited which I believe Lucky Arrow is working on. They have the space for a restaurant. We were recommended to check out a distillery down the street, about 8 minutes, for food. We enjoyed leaving the property and having another drink plus surprisingly good food. We've never explored this part of Texas so it was great to experience. All-in-all, we loved our experience. Very happy we got away to reconnect and definitely plan to be back.

Yelp
We came here in the office areas on with two small kids. Very cool place, great for kids AND adults, and our favorite part was the game room/pool room with shuffle board, video games, board games, big screen TV - all conveniently located between swimming pools. Also the coffees on demand were a major bonus! Can't wait to come back :)

Yelp
Sadly was not what we expected. Nice place, poorly managed. Checking in was chaotic as I prepared for a wedding and we we left with no breakfast or coffee like we were told.

Yelp
We spent a weekend at Lucky Arrow for a friend's wedding. It was such a great experience! Space: There was so much space that we never felt like we were on top of each other. Everything was kept neat and clean, too. Staff: The staff were all so friendly and accommodating with requests for more fire wood and such. Amenities/Rooms: SUCH nice bedding with ample room in the courtyard cabins. Loved having the hot tubs too!

Yelp
PRO: Good interior decoration. CONS: Poor management, poor service and communication, unpleasant noise from Air Conditioning. We booked a Lucky Arrow cabin via Trip.com. Shortly after the completion of payment, we received a confirmation email from Trip.com with a receipt attached. "Please show your confirmation number and PIN number to the reception." " Check-in after 16:00." " 2- person breakfast included." We later found out that none of this information was correct. (1) When we arrived at Lucky Arrow Retreat around 7pm, there was no reception to be found and we were trapped outside a closed gate. We tried the PIN number from the email, it turned out to be incorrect. I called Lucky Arrow a total of 8 times and sent a message to an "assistance number" printed on the lock of the gate. No one answered the phone. We were stuck outside the gate for 20 minutes and very frustrated. While we waited, there was no reply back from Lucky Arrow. We almost drove to Austin to find somewhere else to stay. We eventually got a text message back asking our names and gave us the instruction of how to unlock the main gate and our reserved cabin. After we got past the main gate, we found there was literally nobody managing the property. We did not feel safe staying here due to the lack of any assistance from them if there is any emergency going on during our stay. (2) There was no breakfast despite what was advertised. (3) The exit gate remained OPEN when we were leaving after self check-out. It appears that anyone can drive in from that exit gate which gives the guests no privacy and makes the place unsafe. The Lucky Arrow Retreat needs a lot of improvement in communication, as we did not receive any information regarding the check-in procedure and it was difficult to contact any staff during our stay.

Yelp
To start with it was a great stay at first, room was spacious and clean. The outdoor activities and extras were awsome. But and incident happened with me catching two stray dogs at 3am in the morning, no shelter open, no vet open, no where to take them. What I originally did was take them back to the house so I can get them nutrients and other things. And I put them back in my car and left for grocery store and vets. No avail sadly and let to me bringing them back and asking around what I should do and warning them that they are not mine and I'm just keeping so I can figure out where to put them. Then I get a text saying u are being charge for pet service for 150, when 1 they barely were there for an hour, 2 they are not mine and I clearly said they are stays and they proceeded to keep their fee and we had to leave. I made a little gesture that if someone is saving an animals life maybe be accepting. Great place terrible management And here's a picture of the dogs and me leaving forcefully after he CALLED THE COPS

Yelp
Wow, what a great stay! The yurt that I stayed in was spacious and spotless, the bath house was always clean, and the entire place is well maintained. The staff is amazing; welcoming and very tentative when needed. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway outside the Austin area, this is the spot and worth the price!

JK C.

Yelp
environment is good. nothing else is. I suspect it is because it is under brand new management. We rented the entire property for three days for a wedding. Absolutely greedy owners. terrible management. they tried to gouge us at every corner. I can't even go into details because there are too many. I am not one to leave negative reviews but this one just screamed out for one. Such a sad experience with the service and management for a great event.
google avatar

Yelp
I have finally fulfilled my lifelong dream of glamping in a yurt! This place was such a cool experience. I had everything I could ever want. A pool, beer garden, campfires conversations with s'mores, and even a complimentary wine tasting at the Bell Springs Winery located right next door. As for the staff, a big thanks to Mike, Michelle and Zach! They were all amazingly friendly, kind, funny, and helpful. Your hospitality was greatly appreciated. This place is perfect for events or a staycation. Either way, I recommend visiting!

Yelp
I had a lovely few nights stay at Lucky Arrow. We traveled with friends - 3 other couples and their kids - and stayed in a cluster of four cabins. It was the perfect pandemic vacation: we were able to socialize with our friends and still have our own spaces, without being indoors together. I don't think I'd have enjoyed it as much with strangers staying in the cabin cluster with me, especially since each pair of cabins shares a hot tub (which was delightful to relax in!) and all four cabins share a fire pit. The rooms were clean and modern looking, the beds comfortable, and the air conditioning great. They have basic toiletries and good towels. There's very weak and unreliable wifi at the cabins; I recommend you come here to disconnect. I had good cell phone service with Verizon. The cabins have mini fridges but no kitchens; if you want to cook, you'll have to grill outside. Bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid! For shared amenities, there's a lovely outdoor pool, and a big space with a large fire pit, grills, and picnic area with tables and swings (and some covered seating if you need shade). The pool has a 1-foot area with lounge seats, and lots of nice floats. We visited during the week, and it wasn't very busy; our group spent a lot of time at the pool and were often there by ourselves. There's a small walking trail, too. It is quite pricey; I don't normally spend this much on a hotel. I'm not sure if I'd stay again if I weren't going on a group trip (with pandemic friendly housing.) If you're going with a group, call and see if they'll give you group pricing. Warning for those who are planning to spend most of their time in Dripping Springs drinking: if you visit on a Monday - Tuesday, as I did, most of the wineries and breweries (including Bell Springs, which is attached to the resort) are closed.

Yelp
There are few things more excellent than Texas Spring, and we were delighted to spend a weekend of the best time of year out in the hill country at Lucky Arrow during their opening weekend. There is a central event space and bar / pool area at the top of the hill with yurts as well as more conventional accommodation tucked into the trees below. We stayed in a 'courtyard cabin' one of four arranged around a fire pit with a hot tub. Which was bright and airy with the squishiest mattress, soft sheets and plenty of space to set up our travel crib for our three month old son (they also have them there if you're coming from further afield and need to borrow one) We spent the weekend listening to live music and sipping cocktails by the pool, wandering the shady trails, admiring the view and toasting s'mores on the fire pit. Close enough to Dripping Springs if you want supper /HEB - but far enough out that the stars are super bright and the night is gloriously quiet. They're well-behaved dog friendly, so we'll be back with our (only moderately well behaved) hound. And for a yurt, I only peeked my head inside one but I'm desperate to stay in one soon!

Yelp
If you plan on using this venue to having your wedding at then GET A LAWYER and make them sign a contract. Otherwise, you'll spend $10000 and not have a private space for you and your love ones. You will have strangers at the pool in you space and drinking your beer. The venue might say this and that like they did to us but in the end they didn't do anything and we didn't have a contract to follow up on them so if you want to rent this place hire a lawyer first.

Yelp
Lovely glamping space close to the Hill Country and within an hour of Austin, but ludicrous pricing policies will prevent a repeat visit. This spartan campsite with tiny houses and yurts (with a bathroom space shared with pool guests) offers a close to the city getaway with minimal amenities. But with a per pet fee of $150 PER ANIMAL plus a nightly fee, they don't seem to understand how out of touch they are with pricing policies of similar establishments. With two dogs under 20lbs, you're looking at $350 just in pet fees prior to any rental rates for just two nights, and therefore Lucky Arrow won't be getting any repeat visits from us.

Yelp
My fiancé and I booked one of their private cabins for our October wedding night back in JANUARY 1st. Today, nearly FOUR MONTHS LATER, we get an unexplained email notifying us of a cancellation for our stay. After multiple attempts to reach them via email and phone, we finally received a half assed excuse that their website glitched and that our room was double booked and no longer available. They realized 4 MONTHS later that they had a website glitch? I don't buy it. Come to find out on other reviews that they apparently have website glitches often and people are left without rooms they chose or rooms at all. It's absolutely disappointing and I would never recommend them.

Yelp
My husband and I chose Lucky Arrow for our anniversary getaway and it exceeded our expectations. The yurt was perfection and beautifully decorated. Even the shared bath house was nice! The complimentary beer and wine tasting was great and the crepe food truck on site was an added bonus. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Phenomenal! Stayed overnight. Happen to book thru Hotels.com. No issues at all. We stayed in courtyard cabin. My two children my husband and I had a great time hiking, relaxing, hot tub, fire pit and more. Already wondering when I can get more time to go again.

Yelp
Had a great time staying in lucky arrow! We stayed in Yurt 3, which was great. Only complaints were that there was no map provided, nor customer service available, so we had to drive around and try to find outlet yurt at 10pm. Which was fine - we found it fairly quickly. Other complaint is that it looks like the person cleaning might of got distracted and left the room, without putting the ac back together or bringing her cleaning towel. Also not a huge issue. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
I just stayed for an incredible weekend at Lucky Arrow. Not only was the resort gorgeous, it was super clean and the staff was incredibly friendly. This was the perfect place to unwind and still feel safe during all this Covid madness. The check in process was all online, so we didn't have to worry about social distancing. The rooms were so adorable and you could tell they really put time into every single detail to make sure you have an amazing experience. We were able to sit around the fire pit, have smores and enjoy the quiet starry night with no city noise or much light pollution. The location was beyond perfect. It's just far enough away from town that you feel like you are truly on vacation, but there was still an HEB and tons of food options within a few minutes drive. The gated access to the winery next door was a wonderful perk. Highly highly recommend staying here!

Yelp
Great place! So pretty! It was a beautiful place to relax and disconnect! Can't wait to come back

Yelp
Love the pools and beer garden area, and my kids loved the s'mores they gave us to make at our private fire pit. Definitely recommend to any families looking to reconnect in nature!

Yelp
Very little privacy and poor management. Had a grounds keeper hop, that's right hop, on to our patio while my wife and I were changing. Wife was and is still pretty traumatized. Took us forever to find management to let them know we are out and they told us they would pay for our room at the holiday inn. They did not. Recommendation to LAR: If you are going to run a wedding at your retreat, maybe consider additional help managing the facility. Only having 1 worker who is trying to run a wedding at your grounds isn't going to cut it. * to managements response: You want me to call you again? I'm sorry, but your response to my review makes it sound like this is the first you have heard about this incident. Is this correct? If so, this is disappointing because that tells me you have not taken steps forward to improve.

Yelp
Wow! We are finished up a 3 day work retreat here at Lucky Arrow and, I cannot say enough good things about our stay here and I am super sad to leave. We were able to have our team join us here (from Austin) to prepare for fall + 2020 goals. It was the perfect mixture of pleasure and work-- we were close to wonderful Dripping Springs restaurants, wineries and distilleries. We stayed at the Ranch House were we could spread out and work on our planning during the day and hit up the pool for a quick break. And, you will definitely want to hit up the s'mores/fire pits because-- yum! In the morning, we had wonderful walks on the property and even did a mediation session out on the outlook during sunrise. Incredible. It would be the perfect place for a wedding ceremony! I highly recommend a trip out here- I definitely want to come back for a weekend getaway in the yurts or cabins... they are so cute! Oh and take a dip in the hot tubs! All in all a definite 5 out of 5-- we will definitely be back! A huge thank you to Michele, Eva and team for their wonderful service!

Yelp
I stayed over the weekend in a yurt. Given it was my first experience in a yurt and at Lucky Arrow it was AMAZING!! The yurt was perfect and the staff was very welcoming. The ground surrounding views and the amenities are a great combination of entrainment and relaxation!

Yelp
Such a beautiful place. My fiancé and I stayed the weekend we loved the beer garden and the pool area. They have fun games and we painted, it's peaceful also. Great staff they are attentive and helpful. We will definitely go back in the future.

Yelp
It was a unique getaway but I would not pay the price tag again for the quality I experienced once I got there. Our room had a leaky shower, water damaged walls and stained throw pillows. The rooms are not serviced, but you are checked on after 3 days (which was our entire stay, so no service). If you want fresh towels, you have to request them daily. We had to take the used towels to them instead of maintaining a growing pile in a very tiny space. The location is near a Saltlick restaurant and several outdoor experiences which was part of the reason we chose it. It is better than camping in the Texas heat, but I think there's more affordable stays around the area that are just as nice.

Yelp
Exceeded expectations. I love being outdoors, my wife loves luxury hotels. We stayed in one of the cabins and we both got what we wanted. The grounds are really nice and accommodating to friendly conversation with other guests. The cabins are modern and feel like an upscale hotel room. I appreciated the contactless check in and check out process. We look forward to returning.

Yelp
A hidden gem!! It was very easy to find the resort. The cottage was so cute and charming. Access to the pool was easy. We got to the pool and realized there were no pool towels. No problem - a quick text message to the property manager and she arrived within 5 mins or less with some towels. The location feels like you are out in the middle of no where but in fact you are very close to town.

Yelp
Great location, great infrastructure, everything is new and well maintained. A lot of activities to do within an hour range. Hot tubs, hot pool, hot showers. Great breakfast variety w wine n beer tastings. Amazing staff. Will come again, great place for a grate value. P.S. A/C in yurts was nice, Operational Manager George is a great dude.

Yelp
Came here for a mid-week staycation. We had the place almost all to ourselves since it was mid-week in September. The weather was amazing! We rented one of the breezeway cabins with views+hot tub+fire pit. There was firewood at the cabin when we checked in. We had a fire and hung out in the hot tub to look at the night sky both nights. It was so quiet and relaxing, exactly what we were looking for. The breezeway cabins are beautiful and fun! The pillows, sheets, and bedding were comfy. The breezeway two-seater swing was cute to sit in while sipping coffee. It would be nice if the room with the couch and wet bar also had soap and a couple dish towels by the sink.

Yelp
Great location! Stay just minutes away from the nearby parks (Pedernales, Reimers Ranch), water holes (Hamilton Pool), cute downtown main street of Dripping Springs, directly next door to a very nice winery (Bell Springs Winery) and lots more! Very comfortable rooms with great ambiance!

Yelp
Great getaway spot for the family. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows, the hot tub, the overlook, swimming in the pool and the overall spot. We will be back soon.

Yelp
What a fun place to stay! We stayed in a yurt & it was such a fun experience. The pool was fantastic & the bathrooms were clean. Everyone was so nice that we saw. The yurt was a great experience.

Yelp
I will definitely be back here! My group of 6 reserved 3 porch houses and they were lovely! On the inside, they are totally modern and beautiful. There are no TVs which is perfect for a weekend getaway from the world. The check in and out process is nice, you're provided with a code to a lockbox so there is no need to wait for someone! There is a communal area with darts, Jenga, connect four, and more by the pool and firepit area. The staff left out snacks, drinks and smore's fixings for us! This is a peaceful place that I can't wait to return to!

Yelp
Great retreat close to Austin. Connected to a peaceful winery and minutes away from distilleries. Great staff and beautiful cabins.

Yelp
I don't post very often but wanted to share a review on this place. We were fortunate enough to try out Lucky Arrow Retreat on their opening weekend, April 19th and wanted to share our experience. The propery felt cozy as you drive in with cabins tucked in between the groves of trees, but you also have the sense of openness as the driveway is spaceous as well as the walking paths to the cabins, pool and other areas. So the cabin...outside looked like a cute little cabin (pretty much what we expected from the pics online), but when you walk inside it was an unexpected surprise. Not sure how to describe it expect for maybe modern farmhouse, adorable and comfy. Sometimes hill country resorts freak me out a bit if they are too rustic, but I could see coming here over and over again. The room was huge so we had more than enough space for the two of us. It was opening weekend so there were a few things not quite done, but nothing that affected our stay. For lunch we went to Dripping Springs and ate at Epicure. The service was great and the food even better. Then we headed back to the resort to unwind and just relax. That night they had some special activities so we walked around and checked out the beer garden and fire pit. It was the perfect place to wrap up the night after a day of exploring. We sipped on a few beers, watched kids make smores and chatted with some other guests. Fun night. The next day we checked out the rest of the property and the vendors they brought in for the grand opening. There were amazing views and a super cute hall that could be used for group events. I believe they already had a few events booked for the rest of the year. The upper deck on the hall was our favorite. It was super spacious and you could see around for miles. After seeing everything we decided to check out some of the nearby breweries and wineries. There are lots of things to do that are only a few miles from the resort so it is easy to see quite a bit during your stay. Big thumbs up to this place. We will be back, but next time we will bring some friends with us. We want to get the 4 cabins so we can enjoy the fire pit and hot tubs that are in the center of the quad. Oh the yurts! The yurts are also on my list to try soon. I hope this will be helpful to anyone wanting to check out Lucky Arrow Resort.

Yelp
We had a great time! The cabins are within walking distance to the winery/brewery, our cabins were spotless, and we the entire area is very well cared for. The staff was very accommodating when we asked to be moved so we could be closer to our family. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

Yelp
Lucky Arrow is the place to be if you want to escape to hill country! My boyfriend and I enjoyed one of the courtyard cabins for the night and were wowed by the amount of detail put into this place. The accommodations are nicer than any other similar retreat that we've ever seen. We spent time taking a dip in the pool and hot tub, exploring the property and meeting new friends at the community fire pit. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to escape for a night or weekend!

Yelp
Attended my sons wedding at Lucky Arrow. It's a great location for a wedding. Plenty of cabins to stay in and they are all new and clean. I had a great time.
