What Is Zagat and How Do Zagat Reviews Work? | Eater

"An East Village Asian‑eclectic drag bar that drew controversy after a 2004 Zagat survey gave it a food score of 9 and published a blunt, crowd-sourced blurb describing patrons as going more to “gawk” at cross-dressing staff who tell dirty jokes, perform impromptu floor shows and offer “lap dances for dessert.” The restaurant sued Zagat for libel, trade libel, and negligence, claiming the listing caused a roughly 35% drop in business; the judge dismissed the case, finding that an assembled restaurant review based on anonymous opinions does not constitute libel." - Monica Burton

Went to drag brunch here to see the fabulous Chaka Kahnvict! It was an amazing show, we all love loved it! Had eggs Benedict that were great and bottomless mimosas. The staff was fab, the queens were fab, just such a good vibe and Chaka had us laughing until our cheeks turned red! (Yes all cheeks). Can’t wait to go back!

Google
These queens did not come to play — they came to SLAY! The performances were fierce, the food had me licking my plate, and the energy? Unmatched. Bottomless mimosas and top-tier entertainment? Say less. This brunch gave everything it needed to give. 💅👠✨

Google
This place was sooo much fun! We came for a bachelorette party and went to the brunch show. So many laughs and truly endless mimosas. The queens are all so beautiful and talented. Our group had a blast and I would definitely come back again!

Google
I could go on and on about how amazing my experience at Lucky Cheng's was, but I'll try to keep it short. The food was absolutely delicious. I got the Eggs Benedict, and my friend got the Steak and Eggs; both were flavorful, filling, and cooked with love. We both especially loved the home fries that came with our dishes. The bottomless mimosas were truly bottomless; we'd turn our heads to watch the performances with a half-empty glass, then turn back to see a full cup right to the top. The mimosa was delicious as well, a perfect mix of juice and alcohol. And I would be a fool to not mention the insanely talented performers. Every single queen we saw on Saturday blew us away. You can tell all of them love their art form and have so much passion for performing and giving every single customer a good experience. Not only that, but every queen made the effort to come to each table and introduce themselves! I've seen a few reviews displeased over the price, which is $25 for the initial ticket and then $46 for an entree and bottomless mimosas before tax and gratuity; but keep in mind that you're not only paying for quality food and truly bottomless mimosas (I definitely drank over $46 worth, lol), you're also making sure these talented queens get paid for a damn good show! Lucky Cheng's isn't just a meal, it's an experience--and an amazing one at that. If you're in NYC and need a good place to have brunch and kill time for a few hours, this is the place to go. I will absolutely be coming back!!!

Google
This was my first drag show and it was so amazing. I went with friends for a birthday party and had such a fun time. All of the queens were gorgeous and definitely made everyone feel welcomed. We went for the Alice in Wonderland themed brunch on Saturday. The food was amazing, the bottomless mimosas kept coming, and there were even chances to win a super beautiful clack fan as well as shots. I'll definitely be back ♡ thank you for such an awesome experience~

Google
My mom and I went to Lucky Cheng's to spice up our Sunday brunches together, what a memorable experience! Attentive service from both the staff and queens, delicious takes on brunch classics, and vibrant performances that kept everyone dancing! Perfect to celebrate a birthday (shout-out to Titi and the Jersey girls) or anniversary!

Google
Amazing experience, the show is very theatrical, one of the best shows we’ve ever been. Host Chaka is so respectful and funny. The show is everything we loved it. Keep breaking a leg girls

Google
This was SO GOOD! I'm so glad I managed to catch this weekend brunch, It was a full house and every single person had a great time. Highly recommended, with all the quality entertainment, bottomless mimosas and talented Queens.

Yelp
This was an EXPERIENCE!!!!! I had my tickets from Groupon since April, and yes, I finally used my tickets that they accommodated. The food is hands down for brunch 10/10. They HONESTLY kept tne mimosa flowing no glasses were not empty even towards the end ya glass was magical filled lol. This location was at the secret house which was perfect the stage and the decor gave sexy grunge affair lol. I definitely want to take my friends to the dinner part on a Saturday now we had so much fun. 10/10 Ladies yall did that!!!!
google avatar

Christine G.

Yelp
Friendly staff and amazing entertainment. The Yelp comments that mentioned about the waitstaff not filling up bottomless drinks frequently enough were false or at least false in my experience. They filled up my mimosa glass so frequently that my glass was never empty! Food was delicious and filling. I would definitely come here again for the ambiance and special occasion.

Yelp
We had drag brunch this past Saturday, and it was the best experience I've had for something like this. The entrance was a very unassuming door with a staircase that goes far down into a very cool basement (which it was a hot day so that was a relief). All of the waitresses were in drag, and To Bell was the one who waited on us. She was fantastic and very attentive. We had the Eggs Benedict, French Toast, Steak & Eggs, and bottomless mimosas for 2 hours, which were all great. Every queen really put in the effort. Every joke landed, every song was served, and everyone in the audience was eager to participate. Make sure to bring cash to tip the drag queens! I'm telling everyone that this is the drag brunch to go and see

Yelp
Meh, This 'brand' has taken a dive since its glory days in the East Village. Kind of sad to be honest given the overall elevated art of current drag. Heavy on the camp, but not much actual entertainment (singing, dancing). They go through the motions and collect the dollar bills. The restaurant staff associated with the show are rude and inefficient.
google avatar

David G.

Yelp
Came for drag brunch bottomless. The entrance is pretty hard to find because there's not really a huge sign but we lined up outside prior to our 1p show and then they started letting us in. It's downstairs in a kind of basement ish vibe but the lighting and decor was cool. The food was decent, not sure if the benedict was my favorite or the potatoes but it was $45 for bottomless and $20 for entrance. The mimosas were steadily refilled throughout but there was one instance where our server was performing so we went without refills until the 2 hour limit was over so I would maybe recommend having someone cover tables when their servers are performing or dropping more than one carafe off especially at larger tables. It was a fun show though and performers were very entertaining! Food was okay.

Yelp
We had great time here. Came to celebrate our friend's birthday. We got bottomless brunch: the food was good. I ordered the salad, and the portion was huge, I was full with it. As for mimosas, they were so weak, watered down ;((. The entertainers - honestly , to me, it felt like they were just going around and collecting money. And Godiva, the person, who was taking care of us, was simply the best . Thank you, Godiva

Yelp
We came to a brunch show for my sister's bachelorette and we all had an AMAZING time! My sister is a huge fan of drag shows and drag queens, and she was obsessed with the queens we saw perform! Several of her friends had never been to a drag show before, and after this show, they all want to go to more. The building entrance is unmarked, and went we down stairs to the main room, it looked small so I was skeptical at first. But the performances blew us away, and the size was actually perfect! Each seat had fun pink sunglasses, and we got to take lots of fun pictures on the stage afterwards. They had prizes for people who followed/posted on social media, and they even pulled guests up on stage for a lipsync for your life competition. 10/10 would recommend coming here for a brunch show!

Yelp
AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!!! My visit was a pre-bday celebration for me and I wasn't disappointed. The ambiance set the mood for a good show. Everything exceeded my expectations...from the performances, brunch entree and the unlimited mimosas. My glass was never empty thanks to my amazing server Mother Gretchen. I purchased the VIP ticket and my table (14) was directly in front of the stage. I would definitely be returning here with my friends in the future

Yelp
This place offered a great drag show and dinner for those who want a more intimate drag experience rather than being overwhelmed with crowds. The tables are spread out and stagefront for the best view possible. You will have to pay attention to where you're going while looking for the wooden door they note in your reservation. They have no signage prior to opening the doors for the act. Vibes are great and the staff are mostly super friendly. Stoli was the MC and head performer and she was entertaining but our amazing server (who also performed), Bae Jing, was absolutely STUNNING and honestly one of the best drag performers I've seen since my first show in 2008. The food met par expectations. I got the roasted chicken with cheesy risotto and mixed veggies. I feel like I got ripped off a bit on the veggies, but the food was still good. My husband got the pasta and it was subpar, reminded us of a frozen dinner, but he ate what he could. Drinks were great! We all decided to get Bae Jing's featured drink and it was SO GOOD. If you have 1-4 people, GET THE BIG PUNCH BOWL. #Exotic Overall, the experience was great and even the not so great things were overshadowed by the great things. We're regular NYC visitors, and do plan on returning when we come back in the fall!

Yelp
We had the best time at drag brunch! The queens were incredible. I can't wait to go back! Mother Gretchen was our waitress and she's FABULOUS!

Yelp
DROP EVERYTHING. Not sure how I've never been here before, but I will be coming back often and bringing more friends. Came here for my birthday brunch and it ended up being one of the best birthdays I've ever had. Brunch is reasonably priced for admission and brunch, costing $30, with another $20 for unlimited boozy brunch. The food was great and they have TATER TOTS. The service was great too and my glass was always full. As an AVID drag fan and performer myself, I think I was most impressed with the caliber of performance and professionalism displayed by the queens. First, our server was Carlos the Uber Driver (I let out a huge belly laugh when I heard that name). When I told her it was my birthday and I wanted to get drunk, she made me pound my first drink right in front of her. Smart and hilarious move, just like her performance. And I almost died when I saw her the very next night as the bartender on WWHL. Next - the illustrious, incomparable, and hysterical SVETLANA STOLI. Gurl. What a complete package: beauty, talent, humor, and entertainment. She's the host of the show and it's clear why. I don't want to reveal too much more about her performance, so as not to spoil it for the others, but trust me when I say - she is the next drag superstar!!! Calling it now. Make sure you go see her now before the RuPaul crew starts charging an arm and a leg. The rest of the performers were incredible too. Truly the best New York has to offer and made me feel grateful for living in this amazing city. My final piece of advice: BRING DOLLAR BILLS!!
google avatar

Jessica K.

Yelp
This was SO FUN and hilarious. And surprisingly the food was excellent. I had the double burger with spicy tots and it was just so flavorful. I was not expecting that from a drag club at all. There were about 5-6 different entertainers, but hands down my favorite was Kari Kerning. Stole the entire show by far. She had HILARIOUS skits, fantastic costumes, and truly knew how to work the crowd. This is definitely not a spot for kids, nor is it for anyone who is PC or easily offended. There was lots of pussy, boobs, fake nudity, cursing, etc. For the cost? $38 was well worth the price of a virtually 3 hour boozy brunch show. I thought it was from 3-5pm but when I looked at my watch it was 5:45! Bonus tip: If you check in via Yelp, you will get a free Pink Pussy drink. And they DON'T skimp on alcohol!
google avatar

João D.

Yelp
This is the biggest ripoff space I have been in all New York. The menus don't have a price to see what you consuming cost. Only some drinks and deserts have price. The food is bad and over charge. They are clearly taking advantage of the people. A piece of salmon or chicken is 45$. The drake-queens give there hart but the restaurant destroy there work. Never again!
google avatar

Leslie H.

Yelp
Best drag show ever! Food was great! Talent was Amazing!! Last show of our Nyc trip and it was the best!! Thank you Lucky Chengs and all of the queens and Lola the best emcee!! We had a great time!!
google avatar

Angie H.

Yelp
The inside secret room was surprisingly very nice pictures - do not do it justice. The performers are really good and super sweet they had a lot of new people and a lot of different acts. They were very funny and interactive. Definitely bring some singles to tip them. Overall good experience - need to reserve before hand and get tickets.
google avatar

Yelp
Probably one of the best drag brunch shows I've seen! Svetlana Stoli is one of the hardest working queens. She performed 4+ times, emceed a packed show, changed her look at least 6 times, and had another 5 queens perform dolors, group numbers and even had audience participation! And there was food and drinks! How can you meet that?! Most drag brunches have a couple queens, a few numbers and more talking than serving a show. These ladies worked so hard and gave me a damn good afternoon! Can't wait to come back! Get it Lucky Cheng's!
google avatar

Yelp
Ok here's the deal. I love drag. I've been going to see drag for years. I totally turned my nose up to this experience thinking it would be less than... i was invited with out of town friends. I walked in....and yes it was a predominantly bachelorette parties and girls birthdays with just a light sprinkling of gay man realness....but I ordered my burger and sat with an open mind and was so happy I did. The food was fine, lots of fries which i appreciate. The real star here is the talent. Our server (an Asian drag queen whose been in the business for many moons) was spectacular funny and gorgeous! All of the queens far exceeded my expextations! Thankfully I brought lots of $$ to tip the dolls! I had a great fun time and would def go back for a joy filled and glamorous outing! I felt like I was the lucky one to get to go to Lucky Chengs.
google avatar

Yelp
This was one of my BEST birthday celebrations for my wife. We had the best time laughing all night. The "ladies" were generally welcoming as we arrived. They graciously allowed us to take as many photos with them. Dinner was quite tasty! And the drink selections were fun. If i had to do it again id get a flaming mixed drink to share. The show after dinner was disco theme and Paulina had quite a knack for bringing the crowd together. Thanks to Graham from VA for telling me about this place.. id come back with more friends (but I'd be too embarrassed to bring my mom)! She could come but not with me!! Thanks ladies, for a fantastic nIght
google avatar

Ny'esha K.

Yelp
Wow what a great performance they put on here!! The place could seem a little sketchy when you first get there. You can only go up the elevator in groups of 8!( so don't try to be he 9th person you might kill everyone, hahah). Once you go in the strobe lights definitely get you. The tables are elegantly decorated with cold water waiting for all guest. You are placed at group tables with other people you maybe not know but that's not bad; you make new friends. They serve a three course meal with all samples of the appetizers included as well as both dessert options and you just choose your main course which is only three options. All the meals were really good with interesting blends of flavor but wouldn't just come here for food. The portions are small and with the drinks you order you'll probably be immediately hungry afterwards, but then the party starts!! The drag queens do a great job at included the show goers in the performances it could be a little uncomfortable over the top at times but it's also uncomfortably hilarious! Would definitely recommend this for people to step out on the wild side for the day it makes for a great night! I'd come here again!
google avatar

Andrea D.

Yelp
So much fun. I took my daughter and 3 of her friends to Lucky Cheng's for her 15th birthday. I have to say all the Ladies were wonderful. During the show the interaction with my daughter &friends as well as other underage girls and gUys was appropriate but not making them feel like "babies". Our server was so much fun and gracious. If your are worrying about bringing your 15 and old here because of content don't be. The food was very good. I got the hanger steak, guacamole was to die for. The chips are warm too. Mmmm. If you go ENjoy

Yelp
What a fabulous Sunday brunch celebrating the Queens of NYC! Svetlana Stoli's 3PM brunch and drag show was filled with fun, comedy, sexy legs and good food. Best $30 I've spent in a long time! Shout out to Gretchen, you beautiful bitch, shaking it like a teenager with all those gurlz - you inspire me! And Juicy Lu was a delicious treat for all of us! Keep celebrating what makes NYC great gurlz!
google avatar

Riza S.

Yelp
I don't know what to say. This place had terrible food. Terrible portions and show was too "sex oriented" for my tasting. Gone to a couple places similar for other events and they were more of a show then this. This was mostly just guys collecting singles. Props to our waiter/waitress The Uber driver. Great guy. Only reason why I bumped them up to 2* Otherwise not worth the money to come here. Our bill was almost 100$/person because of their "mandatory 20% tip".. Thank you.
google avatar

Maria F.

Yelp
Went for Saturday 3pm brunch as a group of 5 and we all had a great time! We had the VIP tickets and our souvenir provided at our table were heart sunglasses for everyone. The food was good, way better than expected. They are constantly running around refilling drinks (though the mimosas aren't strong). The show was amazing, lots of laugh and incredible queens!! We had such a great time and each one of us recommends if you're looking for a great drag show!
google avatar

Laura W.

Yelp
Lucky Cheng's is a New York institution. Like many of us renters, they've re-located a few times, but have no doubt they are still around, and these women know how to work it! In reading through some of the negative reviews, they all focus on the price, somehow forgetting the economics of a live show, with performers that need (and deserve) to be paid. All of the performers were absolutely lovely- happily chatting tables up before the show, available for selfies and for chatter. Take lots of $1s so you can make it rain - that's part of the fun. In terms of the performances- there were a lot of original acts, extremely over-the-top and very fun. Lots of great musical mash-ups mixed in with spoken word from movies to absolutely hilarious effect. Carrie had the absolute best physical comedy and facial expressions; Svetlana Stoli knows no bounds in regards to her performance. This may not be the show you expect, but come with an open mind and respect the work that goes into it and have an awesome time.
google avatar

Nathalie R.

Yelp
By far the WORST experience ever!!! HORRIBLE!! Drags are rude, mean, nasty, classless, ugly, tired and just old!! Super expensive for no reason.... the place looks like a cheep banquet hall. Food was horrible!! LADIES!! they changed $38 for 2 margaritas!! The show was 2005 drag queen show. I'm not sure if the drag that had the main show was jealous of our beautiful niece but He/She was super rude and made nasty remarks towards her. He treated her awful! I will never recommend this place. Please do not waste your time and money. So annoyed I have to give it a star they deserve a turd
google avatar

Abigail K.

Yelp
Oh what fun this place is. It never gets old. It is PERFECT for a bachelorette weekend, if you don't feel like going to a skeezy strip club and want to do something more entertaining instead. First off, it's a pretty good deal. $50 a head, for performance, and a huge group dinner. And the dinner was actually good! Or at least as good as any place on Mott street. It's not gourmet, but that's not why your coming to this type of establishment, so get off your high horses. These ladies WORKED for it. They were phenomenal. I rarely laugh so hard at a comedy show!! The MC was ridiculous.. it's like the drag roast of a lifetime. Only in NYC can you find this... All the other dancers were great (or at least were trying hard and working for it!) and overall we had a BLAST. SIDENOTE - if you are easily offended, this isn't for you, This also isn't for you if you are UNDER 18 -- why some idiots chose to bring young girls here (there was a quinceanera party there) is beyond me. I could tell that the adults in that party were super embarrassed and uncomfortable with a lot of the show. Do your research, people, its not a place for kids. That being said, for what it is, this is a great time, and totally a deal!
google avatar

April A.

Yelp
If you haven't been to Lucky Cheng's you haven't been to NYC. The show is absolutely entertaining and keeps you wanting more. Every time I visit the city this is definite stop on my list!
google avatar

Melinda S.

Yelp
What can I say? This was an amazing night!! Food was great! But most of all, these ladies have us the time of our lives!!!! BE PROUD!!
google avatar

Globe Trotter T.

Yelp
I've been coming here forever....their first location, their location in Times Square and their new location this weekend. The show was great. The food was fair. I've always supported this club. The cons: it's organized chaos.....wait, wait, wait....
google avatar

Melissa R.

Yelp
We went for the entertainment and that was exactly what it was. The absolute best. The queens are cool, talented, humble and experienced in what they do. The atmosphere is perfect for meeting people with different walks of life. I will definitely return. The skills are off the chart.
google avatar

Bernadette V.

Yelp
Great entertainment. Food was just ok. Not filling. Drinks were pretty good. Service was good.

Yelp
I went to the original Lucky Cheng's in college (10 years ago) on 1st Ave & 6th St (I believe that was the intersection) and I really wanted to take a friend to see the show. It was spur of the moment so I made a reservation at 8pm for the 10pm show for 3 people at this new 48th street location. Got there at exactly 10pm from dinner and we were greeted by a long-ish line, as expected. Reservations and non-reservations were in the same line, so expect that. I had confirmation of a reservation on my phone and email but the hostess didn't have my name. Regardless, they were more than willing to accommodate us and seated us in the middle table, which was AWESOME. We had front row seats to the show and saw the queens up close. I was nowhere near as close to the queens the last time I went. I will say that the old location felt more intimate but this location was well spaced out and at first glance, I thought we were squished together but I had ample room. The service was excellent. Since we had just ate, we asked if we had to order from the prix fixe menu and our server, Sister Mary Helen (amazing singer btw), said that we could two drink minimum and $25 show fee. This came out to less than eating and paying for drinks. The bartenders are working very hard to make drinks for everyone. I got the orgy bowl of the pink pussy and it was delicious and STRONG. Definitely could taste the vodka. Paulina was the hostess and she was EVERYTHINGGGGG. So nice of her to take a pic with us after the show. The other girls, Detox, Ivy, Sister Mary Helen, all of them were great. I was laughing the entire time. And the game show was awesome. We made friends with the people at our table. Gentlemen - if you go, you'll probably be a target for the queens to dance on you, and some of them are raunchy so if that isn't your scene, you may want to avoid it. But I absolutely loved every second of it. Definitely want to go
google avatar

CJ L.

Yelp
Amazing experience, I never laughed so hard in my life. A must see for any tourist coming to town. Paulina and Sister Mary were off the chain hilarious and super talented...from Pennsylvania, they made me step out of my comfort zone and I had an amazing time. Definitely a most memorable experience for my trip to New York. Loved it!
google avatar

Din G.

Yelp
I went to the first show back (since covid) April 11, 2021. The food was good, the unlimited mimosas were better, seeing live Drag again was THE BEST! Svetlana and Kari HOSTED THEIR BUSTS OFF! Essence & Jax were fantastic servers, but even BETTER performers ( AND they were good servers!!!), and Baejing and Tiffany were EXCELLENT hostesses!!! Not sure if u can tell by the all caps and multiple exclamation marks, but I had a REALLY good time. Thanks for being a part of bringing LIVE, Quality entertainment back to queer spaces!

Erica N.

Yelp
Went for Halloween brunch and it was AMAZING!! The food was way better than expected. The drinks were truly bottomless. The wonderful waitresses & host really made this Halloween one to remember! Remember to bring your singles b/c you will have a Ball ! Our party of 5 had the time of our lives and will definitely be coming back :)

Yelp
We had such an amazing time last night celebrating my 40th birthday. The show was great, the drinks were fantastic. Everyone was so fun and nice. My group of 13 had the best night we've had in a long time. Highly recommend Lucky Cheng's and can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Dani P.

Yelp
I'm between a 3 and a 3.5, but I'll go with a 4. A friend recommended this as a good NY experience. It's very easy to get to. Reservations are recommended. It's pricey on the weekends, $50 for dinner and the show. We paid thinking that it would be good to do at least once. The show was worth it, but the food was not. My chicken and mashed potatoes plate had no seasoning, while my friend's chicken meatballs tasted off to her. No one explained what desert was... it just showed up at the table at some point. The signature cocktails aren't bad though! Food aside, the show was GREAT. We had a wonderful server. It was hilarious and engaged the audience directly. The girls look fabulous. I paid for my recently married friend to get a lap dance, and it was so worth it. In summary, you'll go for the show, not the food. I wish there was a way to pay a cover and just sit at the bar to watch.
google avatar

Jackie T.

Yelp
I enjoyed how interactive the drags were with the crowd. All the acts were great but I was a little surprise that they were older then most shows I've seen. Overall super funny and our girls did have a great time. This rating was more about the food. With there being a new chef I felt that they could still be trying to find their sweet spot. The food was a Mexican in a Chinese theme place? I was a little confused. I got the ceviche and thought the fish was still a little too raw for most people taste. The enchilada tasted like something I could just pick up at a grocery store and pop it in the microwave. My group didn't eat out dessert because at that point we were over the food. I think that once the chef improves his style then this overall could have been a great night.

Yelp
Treat yourself to a night at Lucky Chengs ..you will have a blast ! I haven't laughed this hard in a long time . Queen Pauline the host is irreverent and one of most naturally funny people I ever encountered . She will have you laughing, shocked, shaking your head, jaw on ground and you will love it . It's not a place for the thin skinned ...it's for people who can take a joke. All the performers were just nice people . I love their confidence ..their fun attitudes ...and how much they make you feel so welcomed there . When after show the ladies were talking hugging laughing and taking pics with us The price is really good for NYC...you would normally pay more for just dinner in midtown ..so I think that price for dinner and great show is a steal. Special shot out to Pauline ! You're such a star

Yelp
Went for Halloween brunch and HAD A BLAST! wonderful servers and hosts, beautiful acts, loved the food, and I never saw the bottom of my glass. They were super accommodating with the party I came with and were sure to help us make the birthday girl feel super special. Extra shoutouts to Godiva Romance and Svetlana Stoli YALL HELD IT DOWN. If you bring cash they can exchange it for singles. I recommend going to your own bank vs the nearest atm because they charge $3. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
We just went to Lucky Chang's this past Saturday for a show and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. We made reservations beforehand to secure a table, there were temperature checks at the door, all tables were socially distanced at least 6 feet apart and masks were required when not sitting at your table with your party. All the ladies wore face shields or masks and genuinely seemed really excited to be back doing what they love. The show was fantastic. I cannot tell you the last time my face was so sore from smiling, my voice was so lost from screaming, and my head hurt that much from laughing. 10/10 would live there if they let me

Yelp
I attended the Boozy Brunch on July 14th, 2019 and had the time of my life! I've never been before, and was invited by a friend. The food and drinks were fine, but the performances were amazing! The drag queens all engaged in energetic, non-stop dancing and stand up that had me helpless with laughter. And the costume changes! I was in awe of how quickly these ladies got in and out of wigs, dresses and body suits. Svetlana Stoli is a brash, funny, utterly engaging hostess and I can't wait to go again and bring friends. And it's also nice to start at 3, so that you don't end up spending your *entire* Sunday drinking :)

Yelp
My friend Lisa called this night out: "Her best and most memorable birthday bash ever." Last Saturday she might have been wary of a surprise party, but not as monumental as this one. Food was actually great(i'm usually skeptical of club food) The show was truly the highlight of the evening, truly great, but perhaps sometimes shocking, ... Princess Paulina is a simply brilliant, a comic genius that might have had to do of having had 1 too many or cocktails...whatever the reason..everything fell into place...WE ALL LOVED IT

Yelp
I want to Lucky Cheng's With Friends. Be an incredibly entertaining night. FACILITY The space is pretty clean and small. So be warned that you will be elbow-to-elbow with a stranger. FOOD The food was pretty good. I found that the pineapple chicken and vegetables were amazing. They were very for the flavorful and the pineapple and vegetables paired well. Avoid the fried rice. It is incredibly oily. SHOW The show was hilarious. The ladies engaged with the audience members. They made a show unlike anything I've seen.

Yelp
first time watch a drag show, fun but a little bit overpriced. every single drag queen lady is so friendly and nice! I booked a table for my bride-to-be friend, we all have a good time and the show is very funny. the only thing I want to compliant is the seating arrangement, our table is on the backside, and the view is blocked by the front table who standing up all the time. (I wonder if there is a way to reserve a front table for a better view). and the server who serve the dish(not the nice drag lady who take our order) and the camera guy who take the photo just walk straight into our sight/ or standing still in front us and block our view ALL the TIME! we try to tell them to move away a couple of time, but they just did not listen to us and told us that they have to do this. (the reason I compliant about the view is mostly because our bride friend wants us to take as much as photos of her, and it is a little hard to do that in the back.) besides that everything was great, I have the roast chicken which is a big portion and tasty really tender. all the dragqueen are super friendly, they may take some small insult joke but nothing really an offense. the night we watch the show, a table in the front also had a bride-to-be who was absolutely crazy and gives the host such a hard time. I even feel bad to the host by just watching it. the tip is included in the bill, about less than 100 dollars per person for the dinner and a couple of drinks.

Yelp
I came to Lucky Chang's about 20 years ago. I was happy to see some of the original cast of amazing Drag performers. It's an iconic staple of NYC! I think everyone should experience at least once. Thank you for a great time Lucky Chengs! #queerfriendly #pocfriendly
