DO NOT GO HERE!
This might be the worst service I have ever experienced for a place that I had high hopes for. I had walked by the storefront one morning and decided to peek inside. I spoke to the congenial front desk person who gave me a rundown of their services and said that they have a First-Time Customer reduced rate.
I called to schedule an appointment for noon. The morning of, I got a call the day of to tell us that they need to move our appointment earlier because the store was closing early that day. We were accommodating and agreed to come earlier.
We gave our instructions for how we wanted our miniature poodle's cut to look - A teddy bear cut. Pretty standard for the breed and all groomers should know it.
After dropping him off and they started to work on him, they discovered some matting. The front desk person called to ask if they should de-mat under his ears for an additional fee. We said "yes" to the $30 upcharge. I asked for the total with all of the services. This is when I was informed that there was no "first-time customer" discount. They clearly knew who had given out this information, but now are declining to honor it. The best they could offer was $5 off after several phone calls between the "owner who's on vacation" and the store and me.
Frustrated by this bait and switch, we accepted the minimum discount.
BUT THEN, they brought out our dog. Nothing, I mean NOTHING was completed as instructed or agreed upon. Instead of de-mating under the ears, they shaved it off. The teddy bear cut was absolutely nothing like instructed. An embarrassment. The body was shaved so close as he made no effort to brush him out. The back of his neck was completely crooked (see below). His tail wasn't brushed or sculpted. It was just bluntly chopped at the end like a person who tried to cut their own bangs. HORRIFIC!
And to top it off, the groomer (apparently named Tucker) who butchered our dog had already left (mere minutes after he finished as my wife was there immediately after they called). He clearly fled the scene of the crime! No opportunity for touchups or critiques or customer service. Just destroy our dog's look for weeks and take off.
CLEARLY, the staff wanted to end the day early which is the reason they moved the appointment forward and rushed through the job. Please note: We dropped our dog off at 9:30 AM and the original appointment was at noon. REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS on a Thursday.
After a back and forth with the remaining staff member about the quality of grooming, the staff member kept claiming the owner was on vacation and couldn't be reached, even though earlier she had said the owner was at the store.
Everything about this was atrocious. From the rushed hackjob to the misinformation (intentionally misled) to the overall customer service.
I would never recommend this company to anyone!
Also, my dog too has been scooting a ton since he got home. He rarely does this.
