I called at the farm shop and restaurant on way home from north Wales. It was a great find. The shop was really well stocked with fresh produce. The cafe was great. I also found the Gin distillery interesting and will go back for a proper shop.

The selection of fresh produce is poor and some rotting in the stall. Bread is bought in by the looks of it, not made in store. The sausage rolls etc portion size is made for a hobbit but at full price. It’s just too expensive for what it’s worth.

The restaurant is not open for lunch when we visited but we had meal at the cafe. Love the atmosphere. The shop has a lot of made in UK product.

I've been coming here for years, it's always been pricey, but worth it for the quality and variety of the products available. I visited again recently after 6 months or so and honestly I'm so disappointed. For example, you used to get a two pack of brownies for a decent price, now it's the same price for just one! The portion sizes of a lot of their on site made products have gone down and the prices gone up, it's so sad! They seem to sell more brought in tat that you can get from other shops for cheaper too. Not to mention Ludlow kitchen, which again has gone so downhill since I last visited. Was told there was a 30 min wait for food, then told there wasn't which was good, but when we went to order we were told what we wanted wasn't in stock but the alternative was, so we ordered that. After nearly 20 mins of waiting and the chefs looking angry, we were approached and told there was actually none of what we ordered available now. But we saw multiple orders of what apparently wasn't left originally being taken out only a couple minutes prior and AFTER? The server was lovely though and sorted us out, so I can't fault the servers or the manager who was very apologetic when giving us the refund for the two unavailable plates. I'm not sure what's happened, whether a change of owner, manager etc but it just doesn't have the home-y, community feel anymore. I grew up in Ludlow and to see these places cater only for the "better off people" in the area will just mean you lose vital, loyal, local customers. Good luck.

What a fantastic farm shop - showcasing local produce with an incredible variety. My favourite thing about the Farm Shop was that to the sides of the shop at each section (cheese, butchers, jams, breads & deserts) there was a room with windows looking in showing where the produce was made! This is a great insight. The whole shop is beautifully presented and has a vast array of stock. Staff were all very helpful and service was fast. We came away far from empty handed and will return again every time we pass.

We had a disappointing breakfast here yesterday ; the sausages had obviously been reheated from the previous day - they were tough and very dry . We used to visit regularly for breakfast and it was excellent then . The recent introduction of paying at the till to order means that you cannot request any additional items such as a further cup of coffee from a waitress whilst eating breakfast. Unbelievable that you actually have to go up to the till to do this. The previously high standards have fallen.

Amazing! Loved the farm shop itself and stopped off at the cafe to have lunch - we nearly avoided it due to previous reviews on here, but so happy we decided to give it a shot. The food was really fresh, amazing quality and great service. We will definitely be back when in the area!

One of the vest farm shops I’ve ever seen. Not only did they have a vast range of locally sourced and handmade food, but also a café, takeaway, accommodation, a distillery, and in a few days' time, a new addition: a gift shop.

Yelp
We attended for lunch today and the food and service was amazing. Great quality and very friendly staff. They get busy so you might have to queue but it's worth it.

Yelp
As an outsider, it was exciting to roam around and browse through shelves. I got some delicious tea blends fairly priced. The produce section wasn't much but the way store organized was nice and items were presented in a cosy manner. They had a good selection of cheese and wine, also there were several beers I'd love to try. They had some artisan chocolates I appreciated since I was looking for gifts.

Yelp
Ludlow Food Centre is an impressive looking building in Bromfield, in a complex that also includes the Ludlow Kitchen restaurant. Essentially a large and hugely impressive farm shop/food hall, with one main difference, most of the food is made on site. As you enter the main shop, with your wooden trolley, the comprehensive range of items is the first thing that meets your eye, but on either side there are three large windows, where you can watch the various industries at work including a butcher, baker, jam maker, coffee processing, cheese maker and ice cream producer. Quite fascinating to see how your food is made. The main body of the shop showcases not only the products made on site, with other local produce, 80% of which come from Shropshire. The bountiful selection includes, a wide selection of fruit and veg, home-made jams and marmalades, a wide selection of interesting beer and wines, preserves and sauces. The deli and butchery section covers the whole of the back wall of this large building. There is also an impressive selection of fresh bread and rolls, cakes and ingredients to make both. Seriously, we could have bought a lot more than we did, so many wholesome products and items that you wouldn't find in most large supermarkets. However, this place is not cheap, at all, to do a full food shop in here would be an expensive outing. As an experience to find that something special, Ludlow Food Centre is great. I know it seems a bizarre recommendation, but their home-made butter is unbelievably nice, a touch of salt and full of flavour!

Yelp
I'd passed the place many times as it's next to the busy A49 and recently decided to have a look. It's in an attractive building and although it's not as big as your average supermarket it has a wide range of goods with the emphasis being mainly on local food as opposed to organic (with is no thing IMHO). Although I expected it to be pricey, it's not too bad - I had a loaf (baked on the premises) for just over a £1. My wife went for English wine, a red from Sussex and a White for Hereford (Frome Vineyard - nice), and I was spoilt for choice with all the different bottled ales and cider/perry. I'd say there were beer from around 7-8 different breweries, and all local.
