I've had the pizza from here a couple of times in the past but this past March marked the very first time actually dining in the long-standing K-town fav. In a sense I was actually paying tribute to a retired navy buddy (who sadly passed in the summer of '22) of my father who introduced me to this tasty pizza a few years back. We really enjoyed it as well as the vibe of this cozy Italian eatery. Think the next time we come here, have to give some of their other dishes a try as well. I've always tried my best to support local and I hope for continued success & prosperity for the owner(s).

Google
I tried Luigi's just recently for the first time and their pizza was delicious! I will definitely be back! Short wait and on Wednesday you can get a large 2 topping for only $10.

Google
Food is disappointing, service is horrible. Needs plenty of work on taste, pizza looked great, lacked flavor on sauce, and crust just seemed off in crunch and flavor. Italian beef was very dry and seemed to be a bad cut of meat. Gnocchi was below average. Sorry.

Google
The food was great, but our waitress Gracie was horrible!!! The area we were seated in wasn't busy at all, but she acted like she was so bothered we asked for silverware and never came to see if we need refills or anything else didn't really see her much at all and to be honest the girl probably didn't deserve the big tip we left her. She was also very rude to a man and his children when they came in they actually left and didn't order because of her attitude.

Google
Every time I go, the staff is very nice and patient when I decide what to order. They always come and check to see if I need anything or how everything is going. The chef or cook came out several times to ask how the food is. They love feedback.

Been living in Pleasant Prairie for 4 years & have driven by Luigi's many times without stopping as I have gotten pizza from another pizza place. Today I decided to pickup a pizza on my way home from out shopping & I am very glad that I did. I ordered the 20" thin crust with Italian sausage & green peppers, excellent pizza! I also ordered the breaded mushrooms & they were just as tasty. Being from the Chicago suburbs I can say Luigi's didn't disappoint & is comparable to the pizza places that I frequent. I also want to mention that my girlfriend is an Executive Chef & is very choosy when it comes to food & she approved & enjoyed the pizza as well. I'm happy to say that we will be going back to dine in & try some of their Italian dishes. Thanks Luigi's for preparing a great pizza for dinner on Sunday! EL

Google
The Wednesday special is VERY VERY good. Bye it, and keep them going. I just want to keep getting this deal! $10 / cheese and 2 other ingredients. Perfect amount of meat. Very good and keep it up, Please! Anybody had their mojo's lately? They were good a while ago. Just wondering.

Google
I recently posted a review of Luigi's that was a complaint about an experience I had about a pizza I ordered afew weeks ago. I am pleased to say that management and staff have made it good and I will continue to give Luigi's my business moving forward! Thank you 😊 much!

Yelp
Ordered food to go tonight and the kitchen was behind. My wait was quite long. (75 minutes from call to the order being ready.) The staff was upfront about it and apologized for the delay. They mentioned that they were hit hard in the dining room. Which is really nice to hear that they are busy. I really appreciated their honesty and despite the experience I will be back. I have been coming here for over 50 years and the food never disappoints. We all need a little grace every now and then.

Yelp
This is a 4.5 star for old times sake!! I been coming here since I was a young man. I haven't been back in 30 years!!! The pizza is why I came back, to see if it's still good. It didn't disappoint!!! It's a family tradition, and it's a Kenosha institution. Kenosha has a tendency to be a timeless community, without much change and I respect that tradition. I overheard a remodel is on the way, and that is not a bad thing!! As long as the food stays the same, we're all good. Prices are phenomenal for our times, and quality is high. The crust is thin and airy. It has a great crisp. The toppings are quality and plentiful. The crust holds up well to the amount of toppings, just perfectly. There's an art to this people!! If you're ever in the area, give Luigi's a try and taste some of Kenosha's Italian food history.

Yelp
The homemade spaghetti is super good. I've only had take out lately and it's always a busy take out place so be ready to wait a bit, especially for delivery. Pizza was good but could have been more golden. Overall, a Kenosha Italian staple and good food.
google avatar

Yelp
Just the raviolis alone make a visit well worth it-- simply delicious. No pretense, just deliciousness-- small and neighborly in the best Kenosha way.

Yelp
About a month ago my wife and I went to Luigis for the first time after several "friends" recommended it. Well we ordered pizza and on a scale of 1 to 10 I would say it was a 7, maybe an 8, but nothing like Wells Brothers in Racine. Tonight we decided to give Luigis a second chance, but this time order something other than the pizza. First of all once we arrived and we're seated I believe we became invisible. After a good 15 minutes the lone waitress came by to take our drink request and since we had plenty of time to read the menu we knew what we wanted so we placed our dinner order too. After another 15 minutes the waitress brought out our two glasses of wine and a bread basket. I asked if we could please have a couple of small bread plates. After about 10 minutes out came our side salad. I had to ask the waitress if we might also have some dinner wear to eat our salads with. Also second request for bread plates. Well once I had eaten my little bowl of iceberg lettuce, two grape tomato's and 1/4 slice of cucumber I decided to just use my salad bowl as a bread plate. When we placed our food order my wife ordered the gnocchi and I ordered the smelt "with mixed vegetables " and an order of mojos. Now for another 15 minute wait until our food arrived. The mojos came out and I must say they were quite well done. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside with a nice light batter coating. My wife order of gnocchi arrived and after the first bite I could tell things were not good. My wife loves gnocchi and has ordered if often. These thing were nothing more than lumps of pizza dough covered in thinned out tomato sauce. They were totally gross. My smelt arrived and the 12 I received were more like sardines coated in way to much batter. Oh and the mixed vegetables consisted of a few deep fried onion rings, mushrooms, cauliflower pieces and French fries. The waitress was very friendly and did take the gnocchi off of our bill. On a Friday night there is no excuse for a restaurant to only have one waitress to cover the entire dinning room. If after reading this review you should decide to try Luigis do yourself a favor and stick to the pizza or go next door to Wendy's and get a burger.

Yelp
Great food the pizza is always great and it's almost no wait the mojos are always good as well

Gary B.

Yelp
The quality has gone to cow pie don't waste your money. We asked for a refund and they tried to give us a five dallor credit
google avatar

Kristina T.

Yelp
Good food but the order is almost never right. They gave me a $5 credit but I had salad with no dressing and chicken strips with no sauce! Oh and a small salad apparently comes in a tiny cup now, literally 1/4 of the size it used to be
google avatar

Yelp
Great staff. fantastic thin crust pepperoni pizza. The restaurant was an experience, pizzeria, and Italian restaurant. Staff was very friendly.
google avatar

Cindy P.

Yelp
I called in an order for a calzone @7:30 pm on a Thursday night. He said give me 25 mins. I set the timer on my phone, and went to pick up my $13.75 cheese and sausage calzone. I wish I had taken pictures. There was cooking oil pooled on the top of the creation that did not resemble any calzone that I had ever seen before. I knew just by looking at this, I better cut it open before I eat anything. Sure enough, raw Italian sausage. When I called to claim my money back, they were closed. I received my refund when I stopped in the next day.

Yelp
Great homemade Italian food plus an accommodating menu for some dairy free options. We've had the gnocchi, homemade spaghetti, tortellini and ravioli when it came to the dinner entrees. We're very thankful for Luigi's in their accommodation to our dietary restrictions, dairy in our case. How tragic to live in Wisconsin and have a dairy issue. Their pizza, minus the cheese, is still very good. Mojos are always added to our order. I think the only thing missing is a solid vegetable dish to go with all those carbs. The salad can only go so far!

Alan K.

Yelp
I'm rooting for this place to be the best they can be, but they seem to be shooting themselves in the foot. The pizza we ordered with all the toppings was great, though they burned the pizza crust a bit. They said they didn't have homemade spaghetti that is on the menu, but just the regular kind. Several lights were burned out inside and outside the building, so it didn't have the charm and cozy atmosphere that it could have had. It seems as thiugh the owners have lost interest or something. I urge them to step it up a few notches, even if just replacing burned out lights and signs, and making sure they don't burn the crust of an otherwise awesome pizza, and serving their specialties. If they say "homemade" on the menu, then serve it and give the customers a reason to pick them. This place seems like it has been a community favorite for decades, but it was my first time there and it seemed dead on a weeknight. At the same time, I saw what it could be. I encourage the owners to get back into the ball game and give it a little TLC and diligent effort to make it more inviting and alive. If you don't care, nobody else will either. I only gave you a 3 because of the great pizza toppings.

Yelp
we order food here often and our food was inedible tonight. i was offered a $5 credit by the manager. could hear the manager in the background of the call say "well we can't see the food". i told them they could pickup our completely full containers of extremely undercooked food that mind you we waited an hour and 20 min to be delivered. very disappointing.

Tiffany S.

Yelp
Very disappointing ..water on the plate from the pasta not being drained long enough. Tasteless. Unappetizing. Waitress was very inattentive. People came in after us and were served before us.
google avatar

Jenna G.

Yelp
When I'm home I like to make it in here with dad! Pizza and mojos are our go to!! The service is always great. Always treated like family! Love making my way here when I'm back home.
google avatar

Li G.

Yelp
Carry out service is horrible. The meatball sandwich was blech! I've been coming here for years but the few times going has been crap.

Bob B.

Yelp
I haven't tried their sausage bomber in about 25 years, but I ordered one for take-out on 'Sunday night and was pleasantly surprised how great it was. The bun was wide and toasted and the sausage was sliced in half and loaded inside. I would recommend this sandwich.
google avatar

D B.

Yelp
Great thin crust pizza. Homemade pasta on the menu. Lasagna was just like homemade! Full size portion was huge. Homemade ravioli. Although there were pictures of desserts on the menu, the waitress said they did not have any dessert. The family all enjoyed their food and would go back.
google avatar

Tom W.

Yelp
I love this place! Pizza is amazing!!! Bombers are to die for! Luigi and Chenzi where the nicest people ever and you can still taste their excellence!
google avatar

Holly C.

Yelp
Luigi's was always one of the best in town. Now their competitive advantage is huge portions and reasonable pricing. Also food is prepared quickly without sacrificing quality. They take cards at the restaurant now, have an updated website and deliver. Very impressed with the recent changes while keeping quality well above expectations. Highly recommend!
google avatar

RENDA D.

Yelp
I will remember mom placing our orders for movie nites in 1950s and comparing the pizzas they made than with today, and yes I can taste that their carrying on those traditions of 'good homemade style' Italian food! Bravo! TIP: When ordering during mealtime, always allow extra time due to to the rush hour of orders being placed- Its worth the wait because food is done to perfection every time; as the proverb says "Haste makes waste!" I've heard those who try to rush an order later say their order was not up to standard - so have a heart don't give the employees the bums rush than your order will be done to tasty perfection. But still these same people I see later are still patrons I know why the tasty food = HAPPY TASTE BUDS!

Yelp
Ordered the GutBomb and a pan cheese. I'm not a fan. My local hosts said they were disappointed. Must be an off night.

Michelle S.

Yelp
After over 40 yrs of eating Luigi's restaurant foods, I am done. Ordered stuffed peppers for dinner, with pasta instead of potatoes, and extra sauce. There have been several times as of late, where the food wasn't what it should have been, and certainly not what it used to be, but was edible. (ex. Stuffed peppers actually still full of the seeds). Tonight's order was delivered leaking, with no extra sauce that was ordered. The pasta was stuck together firmly, and the actual peppers were crushed with the equivalent of a small meatball worth of meat. I did call, the girl on the phone stated she was glad she didn't make them, But would let the kitchen know?? Asked to speak with a manager who told me stuffed peppers come in all sizes?? He did offer to remake and deliver the food but after an hours wait for the original order, coupled with the attitude of the staff, I wasn't interested. I will no longer be spending my money at Luigi's. There are a great many wonderful Italian restaurants in Kenosha to choose from, and I will happily take my business elsewhere.
google avatar

Mallory S.

Yelp
My moms stuffed shells were dry and the meat didn't look appetizing whatsoever. It was very greasy with little spice. I'd stick to the cheese shells. My buffalo chicken pizza was really tasty! If you stop by id probably stick to the pizza. Also, the waitress forgot 2 Of our side salads and their soda machine was broken so there really weren't many options for beverages
google avatar

Jay B.

Yelp
Ordered from them on 2 occasions through slice one order they brought my mojos and fries cold by the way they left my pizza and 2 liter at the restaurant and had to go back to get the rest then noticed fries were cold finally get a hold of the store and driver already left they Are 5 minutes away told me they will send a new driver with new fries cause they were cold took another 30 mins just for the fries after waiting over an hour for the rest of my order second order was pickup cause I couldn't trust delivery again told them through the slice app even shows on the receipt to make sure fries and mojos were fresh get there ask them if they are fresh and get told yea get back to my car to feel fries and mojos and guess what they were cold and chewy again so went back in for refund they said they would drop new ones only 5 mins took about 5 mins but found out why their mojos and fries are cold because they do not keep the mojos and fries under heating lamps or a heating source at all and the pizza is in a bag like flap thing on the wall no heat source there either if the health department walked in and seen what I seen they'd be shut down potatoe items like that are only good for 2 hours under heat sources

Jane D.

Yelp
I ordered the Chicken Dumpling Soup again.......I thought the last soup maybe just did not have time to cook...and "marry" the flavors. WRONG ...hardly any dumplings and the broth has NO FLAVOR. The soup NEEDS SPICES..... Perhaps parsley, garlic, rosemary, bay leaf and pepper. The BROTH HAS NO FLAVOR. I love soup!!!! Your Beef Barley is so much more flavorful. You were out of that soup the night I ordered.
google avatar

Yelp
I grew up on Luigi's foods, I delivered for them in 1972 up until they expanded to dine in and I was hired at American Motors. The portions are generous, you cannot beat any of their foods, homemade sums it up with love. I've tried to get them to open a store in Milwaukee or even offer a frozen line in stores, but they're staying true to their beginnings. I've lived around the country and have yet to find any that come close to Luigi's.
google avatar

Megan C.

Yelp
Great pizza and mojos !! The pizza has so much cheese it's so delicious! Staff is great, I would recommend trying this place out if you haven't already!!
google avatar

Don S.

Yelp
Getting a 2 because no business gets a 1 in my book, so 2 = 1? You decide. Walked in and was given water, so far so good, had question about menu after 5 min, was told she could not help and to ask the waitress. 15 min later yes 15 min!!!!!! Still no waitress. The one that was there serving everyone but me and my wife did not smile talk or anything. I was watching and serving others she did not smile or talk. Ok, I do not expect a conversation with my waitress? No, but I do expect a smile, a hi, a anything!!! Left and went to Sal"s just 1.5 miles from there and this place is awsome. I recommend Sal,s there Sals stuffed is sooooooo good! And yes, greeted with a smile and ordered within 7 min of arrival.

Kriss B.

Yelp
Ordered chicken and a salad. Had to wait and got chicken so dry you could barely chew. Salad was yellow, wilted and watered logged. Bread stale. One of the worst meals I had in a long time. Garbage - and that's where it's going. Shame on you for serving.
google avatar

Elan J.

Yelp
Service is horrible !!! If you know its a busy night, get more than one waitress!!! I waited a half hour for a container. I finally went up to the water counter to look for my server. The poor buss boy is looking frazzled !!!

John M.

Yelp
I tried Luigi's about two weeks ago because a local suggested it because they claimed the ravioli were homemade. Here is how my experience went. 1. I asked for a beer but couldn't procure because they were working on a license. I asked how long they been open and the waitress said over 50 years. Get with the times. 2. The ravioli didn't taste fresh. They were doughy and the filling was lacked flavor. 3. The meat sauce drenched the pasta and lacked substance. It was clearly canned and I know this because of the generic flavor that ranks as one the worst I have ever had. I could not have been more disappointed by meal.
google avatar

Jeff G.

Yelp
offering 4 dollars on a screwed up 45 dollar order is doing your best to rectify the order? LOL - Terrible Luigi's !!!!
google avatar

Adam S.

Yelp
Awesome pizza. And a local small business! Best of all... it's one of those pizzas that is as good or better the next day. Don't make them like that at the chains.
google avatar

Alisha M.

Yelp
Luigi's Pizza is one of my families favorite local spots. I cannot say if it is because of the prices, pizza, or cheese stuffed manicotti. I am not a big fan of their meat sauces; however, they have some pretty big portions and some good soup.
google avatar

Lynn S.

Yelp
First time here... pizza & soup were excellent, spaghetti was good as well but nothing special. Everything was served on really cold plates which was disappointing. Service was terrific! It was cold in the restaurant however so had to wear our jackets while we ate. We would go back...it looked like takeout was the popular thing to do.
google avatar

Charles G.

Yelp
Food taste is the best in Kenosha can't ever go wrong except when u have a craving and it's Monday. they close. But just can't say enough about there food love it been same taste since the frist time. If you haven't been it's a definite must
google avatar

Rachel S.

Yelp
Tired of going to the same restaurants? Need some quality food for a good price? GO TO LUIGI'S. First off the staff here is amazing, they are always super nice and on top of their game. Depending on the night/how packed it is decides how long the wait is for your food but nevertheless it's always good. Ya'l got to try their mojos! I've come here since a kid and I still love it. It's a really great Italian restaurant and the decor totally gives it that vibe.

Jeff S.

Yelp
Solid takeout choice! Ravioli, Chicken, Stuffed Peppers, and Pizza. Never disappointed!
google avatar

Rebekah H.

Yelp
Maybe I'm spoiled but when I order Spaghetti, I expect it to be stirred while cooking and not have huge clumps of Spaghetti in the container. Marinara Sauce is pretty bland , but the homemade noodles and meatballs are really good when said noodles are not in a huge clump. Pizza is alright, a little too cheesy and not crisp enough when it first comes but really good when you reheat it in your own oven the next day. Delivery was fast and friendly and food arrived piping hot. All in all, just ok don't think I would order from them again though.
google avatar

Albina Z.

Yelp
Best thin crust pizza in kenosha... no, in the states! But I'm sticking to thin crust pizza carry out, with the occasional potato wedges. Oh, and it's cash only.
google avatar

Scott L.

Yelp
Very good pizza. Great homemade spaghetti dinners. Awesome meatball bombers. Good delivery service @ a reasonable fee. Every meal has been very good! They take debit/credit now so ordering delivery is a breeze.

A L.

Yelp
Seriously one of the best in Kenosha. Pizza prices are great and taste amazing. Love this place.
google avatar

Max N.

Yelp
This is our go to pizza place in Kenosha. It may seem like a step back in time, but it is a step back in time to good food and service. Others tell me the sandwiches are good but for me the pizza with extra sauce is just fine.
google avatar

Amy M.

Yelp
A solid 3 stars dining experience - food is decent, portions are generous and prices are reasonable. What more can you ask for? How about a when you are 1 of 2 tables in the entire restaurant not waiting over 20 minutes for your soda to refilled? I don't have high expectations and I admit it is one of my pet peeves to wait for what seemed like forever for a refill so that's why 3 stars. The thin crust pizza is consistently good with the right ratio of cheese, sausage, and sauce that is cooked perfectly. Mojos are a must try - they are HUGE potato wedges that are seasoned and deep fried. VERY GOOD! Dinner salads are fresh with a mix of romaine and iceberg lettuce with a few grape tomatoes and a few cucumber pieces. The creamy garlic is delish! They also give you a generous bread & cracker basket with Paielli's Bakery bread, bread sticks, saltines and lots of butter packets. The bread is fresh and a nice start to the meal. Overall, a good dining experience just don't expect to be wow'd by the service or be in a hurry for your drink to be refilled.
google avatar

Thomas S.

Yelp
The food was decent the portion sizes were huge. However the staff had a grim additude. Maybe it was an off night I've been there a few times and I don't recall the attitudes being that bad before

Dining Bunny G.

Yelp
Very disappointing. We recently moved to Kenosha and are looking for good italian food. This was our first outing. The sauce was very neutral. I ordered the manicotti and it came over-covered with sauce. Both sauces nothing special. We'll keep looking.

Amy M.

Yelp
This is the best pizza place!! Delivery is quick and they havexgreat service!!! Any time someone mentions pizza, I suggest Luigi

Jake E.

Yelp
The food is INCREDIBLE! Great service, fast service, the portions are huge and the atmosphere is very friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone! Yum!
