If you are looking a place with a good vibe and amazing food, look no further! We were looking to have a nibble on our way back to Coromandel and found this place on Google Maps by chance. Good thing we did! The food and service are great. Young people working in the kitchen and serving, all very fast, observant and approachable. We got the food within minutes from ordering and it was quite busy. We had the fish wrap and fish and chips. A-ma-zing! Delicious food that we devoured within minutes (after saying we’re not really hungry 😳). We will return here for sure!

Luke's Kitchen is a Friday highlight with the absolute best vibes! ​The food was incredible, especially the mussels. The sauce was perfect—"just the right amount of chilli" and "just the right amount of everything." I was thrilled to find out they sell the sauce! Huzzah! ​The drink special—$10 margaritas—were lush and such great value. ​What truly makes this place, though, are the staff. The bar team were just amazing and so super friendly! They genuinely took an interest in our travels and connected personally—the bartender even knew where the New Forest was when I mentioned it! The staff who made it though. Just wow. ​Highly recommend for amazing food, great drinks, and truly top-tier service! Loos disabled access...and urinal through saloon swing door. Fun! (Video shows)

Such a well oiled machine!! Delicious menu of goodness! Well informed staff about dietary requirements. Brilliantly caring magicians working there, food turned up as soon as it's ready, fantastic bar with great non-alcoholic and cocktail options! Pimms o'clock! Gluten free options shown with an asterix* (coeliac safe options are known at the bar when you order - green bean goddess, corn cob, smoked mushrooms were GF coeliac tried and tested)!

This place is worth the hype! Mouthwatering mussels with a delicious garlic bread side (dunk up the goodness), fresh and scrumptious oysters, whipped feta, kumera fries, nom nom nom. The pizza hit the spot but wasn’t the star of the show only because everything else was so damn good! Almost forgot the sangria… and I’m almost ready to jump back in my car and make tracks for Luke’s!

Luke’s Kitchen was such a delightful experience it helped us change our holiday plans. We had intended to explore the whole northern tip of the Coromandel but the vibes, the weather and the beaches nearby were so good that we decided to stay right outside town. So with 3 dinner’s at Luke’s under my belt I can happily say it’s a gold standard. Food was delicious, service was great and the people were delightful.

Didn’t expect to find such an amazing restaurant here. Today they had fresh kingfish sashimi, and the cocktails were great too. But I especially want to praise their kids’ menu. I brought my two-year-old, and their kids’ plate was just like something a mum would prepare — it had fruit, vegetables, beans, meat, carbs, and cheese. It was so thoughtful.

Visited Lukes Kitchen tonight after hearing fantastic reviews from my family and friends and it absolutely lived up to its name! We ordered two pots of mussels, four pizzas, and a few starters. The venision ribs were fire and the whole table agreed they should make these a main option, or a bigger plate. The service was also fantastic, the servers double checked on topping requests and got all of them correct. A couple of great changes would be to increase the tap beer range, someone said Gisborne gold on tap would be great! The mussel pots were great, although one of the pots didn’t come with their garlic bread- but it was probably for the best because we were all so full!! The other thing that was a slight problem was the music was super loud over our table and a couple people struggled to hear and handle the sound on the table. Totally understand it is busy and hard to cater for all types of groups though- but more speakers at a lower volume would be fab! Will definitely be going back to try more stuff on the menu!! Loved!!

Some friends recommended that we visit this place and try their wood fired pizza… it was very good… Lovely friendly staff and a great atmosphere… Definitely head back again when in the area
