This boat tour exceeded my expectations! We were looking for an activity to do the morning of our elopement in Acadia national Park and this 2 hour boat tour perfectly fit the bill! We saw seals, a lighthouse, and several lobster and crabs. We learned so much about the industry of lobster fishing which was so interesting. Our guides were so funny. Highly recommend!

Went on a boat tour with Lulus and had a great time. The boat Capitan was friendly and we checked (3-4) traps which resulted in one lobster and a handful of crabs. The boat guide was very nice and entertaining with plenty of local knowledge. Boat was clean and seating was roomy. Would not recommend sitting in the front left if you want to take pictures as the views are limited and pictures through the windows didn’t turn out well but otherwise a pleasant experience.

Add this as one of the ‘must do’ items on your itinerary to Bar Harbor. Our family had a blast and absolutely loved this tour. Not only do you learn more about lobstering, you also get a tour of the bay, a lesson on local history and information on local marine life. Both our tour guide and captain were fabulous. This trip is appropriate for any age.

Interactive and really great trip for our mixed aged group (65, 69, 39, 9, 7). Chris was a lovely guide and answered all our questions. Tony was a great captain and very kind to all the kids on the boat. We lucked out and pulled in multiple lobsters (including a female with eggs)& a crab and saw lion's mane jellyfish, seals, & porpoises, and the views of the coast from the boat are beautiful. Definitely recommend the trip for anyone wanting to learn a bit more about the lobster industry & get out on the water.

This was a great experience! Our narrator Linda and Captain Tony taught us so much about lobstering and the entire Bar Harbor ecosystem. We got to see several lobsters and crabs that Captain Tony pulled up in his traps. Highly recommended activity for all ages!

We had an awesome experience on our boat tour! Galen did an excellent job keeping everyone entertained while teaching us all about the lobster industry as well as the other wildlife in Bar Harbor. The captain was friendly and entertaining as well. We loved it!

My husband, 12 yr old son, SIL and myself went on a trip yesterday. We had Emily as our tour guide and I can’t remember the captains name.we had such a good time. They allowed my son to band the lobster and even drive the boat. Emily was super friendly and I would highly recommend your tour company!

Our tour in September 2025 was one of the best tours we've experienced in all our travels. Linda was exceptional- her knowledge and experience gave us great insight and her personality and energy made the entire tour fun. Captain Tony was great too - friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We'd have gone again the next day if our schedule would have allowed. Highly recommend.

The lobster boat ride was a lot of fun. Our captain and deck hand were awesome. Very informative and hands on! My only complaint was it was hard to see when sitting in the middle of the boat.

Don't miss this wonderful experience if you're in Bar Harbor. It's a two hour tour of Frenchman's Bay and out to Egg Rock Lighthouse where you get to see lobster traps pulled in, learn about the lobster industry, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We saw dozens of seals and a bald Eagle during our tour which was led by an experienced boat captain and very knowledgeable tour guide. It can get cold out on the water so dress appropriately.

When you can learn and have fun at the same time all while enjoying some fresh sea air on the water, that's a great day! The captain and crew were so knowledgeable and friendly. Two hours was perfect...and "just enough" of each activity. We came for the lobstering experience but found the seal watching a highlight as well. I was also surprised how affordable the fare was. Bring a little cash for a tip as I guarantee you will want to thank your hosts for an great time!

This tour was so informative and so much fun! My friend and took this tour during our trip to Bar Harbor and it was our favorite activity all weekend. You get to learn about the lobster industry, about Bar Harbor's history, and see some seals if you're lucky. Mark is very knowledgeable and engaging. Captain Gaelyn was equally great.

The crew was great and we learned a lot along with seeing lobsters and how the whole process works. The seals were a cool bonus.

Two hours is just about the right length for this excursion. The narrator and captain give you the essence of how the lobster cages are constructed and placed. They pull up several to let you see and handle the lobsters and crabs, if you so desire. They were really good with the kids on board.

My sister and I had the greatest time! Great excursion for everyone! Captain Dan and our narrator were the very BEST! Worth every penny and then some! Lobster, crab, seals, incredible views, the BEST!

Took a Lulu's lobster boat tour on October 4, 2025. It was a perfect weather day on the bay and we had a real nice scenic boat ride. They told us all about lobstering and pulled up several lobster boxes and showed us the catch which was banded and then afterward all were released. A relaxing and comfortable 90 minutes on the water. Linda was so kind to everyone and went out of her way to see that everyone could see all that was going on. Children on board had a great time as well. Would definitely recommend as a not to be missed activity.

If you are in the Bar Harbor area this is a must do! We had a great time and our tour guide, Mark, was knowledgeable, friendly, and fun! The captain did a great job guiding the boat. We learned a lot about lobsters. Got to see so many seals and watched two of them play in the water for a while. Then we saw three bald eagles, one came soaring in. The trip was excellent. They were very good at engaging everyone. We held lobsters and had a lot of fun.

Our Lobster Tour boat ride was very enjoyable! We learned all about lobster trapping. We saw adorable seals. Our guide knew his stuff and explained the information in an easy to understand way. He was also hilarious which added to the tour!

Great experience while visiting Bar Harbor. The tour will make you appreciate all that goes into lobster fishing. Very informative. I have mobility problems and they let me board the boat ahead of time. I could take my time navigating the walk and boarding the boat without others having to wait. I appreciate the care and accommodations that they made for me.

Good boat tour and very educational regarding lobstah trapping. Boat seating was uncomfortable as your feet dangle and don't touch the floor of the boat. A ledge should be added to prevent strain on my back on the two hour tour.

The staff was very attentive and accommodating. We did a tour when I was 7.5 months pregnant and they did everything they could to make sure I was comfortable and safe. Great for kids as well. All around a great experience and we would highly recommend it!

Great lobster tour, nice friendly staff and services. Learned a lot about Maine lobsters and saw bunch of grey seals. Total 6 lobsters and several crabs from 2 traps. Chris is very patient and knowledgeable, answered all questions. Glad to know the caught lobsters all get put back to the ocean at end of the tour. Highly recommend to do.

We had an awesome trip! We saw and did everything they promised. Such a great way to see Bar Harbor. The captain and narrator were wonderful and super informative! Loved it!

A great time was had by all us land lubbers. It was a nice weather day. Tim was a mix of information and fun. The captain made sure we all could see the seals and porpoises in the water by turning the boat around. I'm sure the youngster on the boat had fun driving the boat as well. Nice job!

Galen was a hoot and a half as our guide. He was super knowledgeable while adding in engaging humorous bits! I would recommend this to anyone visiting Bar Harbor that has a couple of hours to spare.

Ships Ahoy Matey! This is a great two hour tour with much of its focus on the almighty Lobster Learned a-lot about about our tentacled friends. We caught lobsters ( and released all at the end). We went by the Egg Bluff lighthouse which is a beautiful sight to see. We watched the seals frolicking in the water and napping on the rocks in the bay. It was very special to spot two bald eagles chilling on the rocks together. It was majestical to see our national birds. The Tour guide Chris was fantastic,funny and informative. The captain was pleasant too. The tour is interactive. The kids (and adults) got to help with taping the lobster claws. Some of the kiddos got to help captain the boat. Tip: bring a sweater. It gets chilly out there. Loved LuLu

Had a great time getting out on the water, seeing seals up close & learning about lobstering from entertaining & informative Jen. Just remember, when they say it can get cold on the water, believe them!!! One of our favorite activities of our Acadia trip.

Emily and cap Tony are the best! There were kids on the boat but they still let others participate. Great boat control and great with the kids. Made sure everyone could see the seals and interact with the lobsters. Fucking dope.

We had a great time and learned a lot. Our narrator was knowledgeable in all aspects of the lobstering trade and regulations, and spoke about local history and wildlife - all with a great sense of humor. He got all of the passengers talking and interacting with each other. The captain was friendly and added some comments, and was quick to point out seals, porpoise, and other wildlife. I would take the trip again and send friends and family to enjoy it!

Very educational and informative about the life of Lobsters. We learned how the harbor was organized with colored buoys for each Lobster company. The best part was the hands on experience with live lobsters. Learned how to band their pincers, how to identify male and female lobsters, how to measure a lobster to determine if the can be kept or have to be thrown back. We saw a few females that were pregnant with 100's of eggs and that only 1% will actually make it to adulthood. Recommend this company for a Lobstering event.

What a great way to spend an afternoon in Bar Harbor. The 2 person crew was friendly, polite and super informative. The boat was pretty full but it felt roomy enough. The guide, Gaelyn, narrated throughout the excursion with unmatched enthusiasm. He is a retired teacher and it was obvious that he loves to teach and entertain. We learned in an interactive way about lobsters and the harbor. After the lobster hunting we road out to a lighthouse where we circumnavigated the little island it's on. There were two types of seals swimming and sunning. Tons of birds enjoyed the island and it's skies including two amazing bald eagles. Only SLIGHT possible negative .... Gaelyn really likes hamming it up with the kids. There were 5 kids on board and there was a LOT of time spent being silly with them. Seriously, how many ways can you put a lobster on a kid's head? If you're annoyed by weird kid stuff, this could be uncool for you. Haha! If you have kids, bring them!

Well run business with friendly staff. Tour of the harbor was lovely. The water is like the Caribbean on a clear summer day. The islands of Bar Harbor spectacular. Reasonable prices for tours. Good safety for passengers. Excellent record of safety too. Welcoming of all ages and accommodating for seniors. If you're into catching and boiling lobsters alive, this is the tour for you. If you're against cruelty to animals, skip this one.

This was a lot more fun and informative than I anticipated. We're 70 years old but found ourselves caught up by the enthusiasm of the guide, captain and the youngsters on board. I learned how to sex a lobster, hold a lobster and that they can be "right or left clawed". We saw many harboar and gray seals playing in the water by the Egg Island lighthouse. A bald eagle, dolphins and many kinds of sea birds also made the trip special. The kids even had a chance to steer the boat, and when the lobsters were returned to the water with a "Un, deux, trois, au revoir" almost everyone got in the spirit of the release. I also liked that the guide made a point of asking the kids to toss the lobsters in gently, not throw them hard.

This was one of the highlights of our trip!! Chris was very informative and funny too. The captain was great and really knew his way around the area! We learned a lot about lobsters, traps and got to see some amazing places and animals too. Highly recommend this tour.

This lobster tour is really great fun.I learned a lot about the crustacean and the history of Bar Harbour. The guide was kind, knowledgeable and told us good jokes. Besides looking for the lobster traps the boat also took us to see the seals. On the way we were lucky enough to spot some porpoises jumping,

Yep !!! It was fun watching them pulling the lobsters out from the bottom of the ocean! Our guide told lots of corny jokes and we sang songs but it was also very educational. Great for kids too , it lasted about 2 hours

This was the most enjoyable sightseeing and informative tour we have been on in a long time. Our guide and boat captain were extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. A hands on lobster fishing demonstration followed by seal watching. Lots of great pictures and stories to tell. A perfect 2 hours of fun for the whole family.

What a fun morning. Jen was our guide and she did a great job. We saw tons of harbor seals, a bald eagle and pulled up 2 lobster traps one containing a crab. The weather was perfect, sunny, 70 and calm seas. Highly recommend

Fabulous lobster boat tour. Galen was very entertaining, ring your singing voices! They made sure we fully understand the areas, dependency and lobster fishing and the encouragement of young people to stay in school and become lobster fisherman! You have to have a high school diploma and a few years of apprenticeship before you can get a lobster license, they also took us out to egg island to see the seals and the lighthouse in the bald eagles, as well as some beautiful rock formations and some dolphins or porpoises swimming along the boat Shut highly recommend this activity when you were in the Bar Harbor area

The staff was able to not only inform us, but also keep us entertained with his wittiness! From the ticket booth to the boat captain...all were so nice.

When I was a teenager, my family visited Bar Harbor and we went out on a real lobster boat. It was one of my best memories from that trip. So when my fisherman husband and I decided to visit Bar Harbor for a few days, I knew I had to get him out on a boat. I believe Lulu is the same company my family used on that first trip but couldn't swear by it. At any rate, this is a roughly two-hour tour (a two-hour tour!) around the bay during which you learn all about how lobster boats work and get the chance to see them haul up a lobster pot. You also get the chance to learn all about lobsters and hold a real live one if you wish. I will say that the first hour or so is more of a scenic nature cruise than anything else. We did enjoy going out to the lighthouse and seeing the seals up close (great photo opps). However, having done a scenic sunset water cruise the night before, this was a bit of a repeat for us. Once we got to the second half of the outing, where they actually haul up a lobster pot, show you how they put the bands on their claws, pass them around, show you the difference between a male and female, etc, that part is awesome. We did wish that they'd hauled more than one trap, but there were like seven lobsters and a couple of crabs in the one pot, so it was all good. The staff is super helpful and knowledgeable. You should tip them. In my opinion the best seats are the benches up front or the benches that run along the sides of the boat up toward the front. That gives you an up close view of the lobsters and you can clearly hear what's being said. If you sit on the side benches in the up front right hand corner of the boat where there are a couple of ropes blocking the opening for safety, that's right where they haul the pot up, so you'd have a great view.

Easily one of the nicest, most informative mornings spent in Bar Harbor. The two hours spent in the waters went by FAST! Pro tip: make sure to layer up, coz even in peak summers it gets pretty chilly in the waters. The tour itself was fantastic! I came away learning so much about the ethics behind lobster fishing, and the history of bar Harbor. Definitely recommend!!

I'm torn on this: we definitely enjoyed this two hour boat ride. You go out with about 30 people and the captain hauls in lobsters for you to look at, hold, learn about and takes pictures with. As he does this, a guide tells jokes and does the demos. It was about 70 percent schtick and 30 percent education, including about a lobsterpersons life. I wish the percentages had been reversed since I didn't really learn that much. This could have been a great educational trip. But fun to do.

Four couples from Missouri really enjoyed our tour on Lulu's Lobster boatMark and Will have a lot of information about the area and lobsters! We got to pull up lobster traps and got to band the claws. If we get back to Bar Harbor we would take this tour again.

Loved our lobster tour! We learned a lot from the experienced and fun crew on a Thursday 10am tour in the beginning of the season! The crew/company is great with service as they had called us to let us know any slight possibility on weather changes (high wind) and allowed us to reschedule to a better tour during our stay in town. On the 2 hour tour, We drove around the Frenchman's Bay and pulled up 2 traps of live lobsters to look at and learn! I have now so much appreciation for Maine and the lobstering industry and their hard work in keeping things as great as they are! Would definitely recommend it to anyone who has interest in the sea, fishing, and Maine!
