This Underrated Florida City Has Beautiful Beaches, Trendy Hotels, and Vibrant Street Art

"For brunch or lunch, I enjoyed Lulu's Cafe & Cocktails, a trendy spot with a SoHo-like vibe serving breakfast burritos, croissant sandwiches, salads and bowls, charcuterie boards, and chicken wings, and I loved the jungle leaf-patterned bar for handcrafted cocktails." - Lauren Dana Ellman Lauren Dana Ellman Lauren Dana Ellman is a New York-based writer and editor who specializes in travel, lifestyle, food, and shopping content. DelRay is different yo! Everyone was wearing Lululemon workout clothes from the cooks to the hostess. Even the grandmas were rocking the Lulus. Not even kidding, check out the pix below. This town is like futuristic. Everyone's in shape. Folks jogging on the side walk by the droves. High-end designer dogs tethered to their rich owners. Bentley, Porches, and Ferraris on the streets. Way too bougie for me. There was some confusion at checkin, as it is of the utmost importance to get a reservation, and my name wasnt on the list, but the host was cool enough to get us a table for 8 as requested on Resy. 🙌 Servers were all fit 25 years old and below. All were friendly and hospitable. I didnt like the atmosphere. Outdoor only no AC. The ceiling fans were on full blast making my kid cold. The food arrived quickly. It was aight. Really nothing special. Totally not worth spending the amount of money based on high ratings. I wasnt wowed with any of the dishes. My breakfast burrito was basic. I give it a C. Wife had a breakfast sandwich. C-. Bread was tough. Bacon was over cooked. Our bill was over $200, plus we gave a 20% tip. In the end, my hopes of having the most awesomest breakfast for my inlaws fell way short.

This is like white girl heaven at this place. Atmosphere is great and coffee/food is even better. 1 point deductible for the salad that came with my breakfast croissant sandwich. I don’t think it’s the right side dish for this meal and it wasn’t very appetizing/didn’t finish it.

Charming spot with a relaxed vibe. The coffee is rich and well-balanced, and the pastries taste fresh. Service is friendly without being rushed. The menu isn’t huge but everything feels thoughtful and well-prepared. Great place to linger or catch up with a friend.

I was optimistic about trying out Lulu's but ended up disappointed. The home fries were definitely deep fried, soaked in grease, had no onions, only two tiny pieces of red pepper and absolutely no seasoning. The "BLAT" (bacon lettuce avocado tomato) sandwich was also mediocre. The sourdough was toasted way too hard, soaked in butter and just kept falling apart. I expected a place like this to be a bit more light and fresh since we checked out the menu online before coming. Even the green drink I ordered was overly sweet. My partner had the steak and eggs which also had no seasoning and was an overall unsatisfactory meal experience. If you're looking for something healthy and delicious, I would not recommend this place.

I had such a great time at Lulu’s! The food was fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere felt super relaxed and fun. The steak and eggs were awesome. The service was friendly and fast—I’ll definitely be coming back soon.

The food is just not good. I got the steak and eggs (~$30) and it was a complete waste of money. There is no seasoning, just a plain steak (out of fridge) they threw on a pan, no salt, buttery, garlic, nothing. I got it with sunny side eggs, which just tasted off like there was something wrong with the egg. The potatoes lacked salt but the mushrooms were just okay, just not flavorful. As for the drinks, they are overly sweet. For service, it was really busy, so it was hard to call attention to the waitress for anything. But the food and drink came out relatively fast. Overall, not really worth the price and wouldn't recommend as a good bunch place to anyone.

Lulu’s at Delray Beach is an absolute gem! My friends and I had an unforgettable brunch here, and every bite was pure bliss. The Overnight Oats were a creamy, dreamy start—perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. The Steak Sandwich was a flavor explosion, with tender meat and fresh fixings that made every bite heavenly. And don’t get me started on the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich—crispy, spicy, and downright addictive! We washed it all down with the Pineapple Grove, a refreshing drink that felt like a tropical vacation in a glass. The vibe at Lulu’s is so welcoming, and the staff’s energy made us feel like old friends. I’m already counting down to my next visit—Lulu’s, you’ve stolen my heart! 🍍🥪

Returned for brunch and had another great experience. Ariel is a great server and the teriyaki chicken bowl never disappoints!! Very cool space in Pineapple Grove. Sat at bar and service was a bit spotty. One bartender was great! Only tried the bowls which are hit and miss. Go for the teriyaki chicken bowl which is a huge hit! Will be back to explore the food more.
