LUM ORNG Farm to Table Restaurant

I dined here on 12/21/2025 and had the “chefs tasting menu” with wine pairing. There are a number of chef tasting dining options in Siem Reap and I have tried them all, Siem Reap does Chef inspired tasting menu restaurants really well. Lum Orng is very unique because it is located outside of the city center in a much more remote area which I really enjoyed. It made going to dinner feel more like an adventure which I prefer. I’ve seen a number of reviews that say getting to the restaurant is “sketchy” and I’d like to say it is not sketchy at all, I felt completely safe. Yes the road is dirt and it is dark, but you’re not in the middle of a city you’re out in the country side, it was completely safe and accessible. I think a lot of people don’t travel much or only go to very developed cities so anything that isn’t glass or concrete they think it’s “sketchy”… The staff here did an excellent job, they greeted me street side, walked me in, and offered great service throughout the dinner. I am in Cambodia during a conflict they’re currently having on the border with Thailand, so Siem reap is almost empty. Due to this I was the only person at the restaurant which made the experience even more unique and I really enjoyed it. The food was great and the menu was adventurous, I will definitely come back again when I visit Siem Reap.

We attended the Cooking Class for lunchtime. This was booked as part of our trip to Siem Reap so unable to inform on the cost. It initially started by meeting the chef in town for a short tour around the food market and seeing all the fresh fish and different veg. We have seen a few markets but this just seemed more chaotic due to squeezing everything into the market. At the restaurant which is outside the city by about 20 mins We were welcomed with a drink and a cool towel before heading into the kitchen where we sampled the rice wines they produce. Three dishes, Prawn & Mango salad, Fish Amok and then a banana pudding. Being introduced to the herbs, flowers and vegetables was informative. Creating the Amok was good fun having eating it before. After cooking you get to sit down at a table & enjoy the fruits of your labour in a really nice setting. It’s a good idea and a really enjoyable experience I would recommend.

We had the chef's tasting menu which blows your mind. Excellent build in flavour intensity throughout the menu. Well thought out intermezzo, before the climax of melt in your mouth beef tenderloin with a green pepper sauce. Gentle, calming finish. Best ever food.

Amazing food with outstanding quality and perfectly balanced flavors. The wine pairing was spot on and complemented the dishes beautifully. Super friendly service – attentive, warm, and always one step ahead without being over the top. Big compliments to the whole team and the Management. We’ll definitely be back!

Went here for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner and it was also my first time dining at a Khmer fine dining restaurant! All of the food was amazing and the price for the set was so reasonable too given it’s quite fancy. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and you can feel the Khmer heritage too. However, the location is a bit annoying to get to, maybe because we went in the evening and there were no lights on the road. But it makes it a nice and calm atmosphere at the restaurant because of it. I would definitely go again and bring my friends and family next time!

Aside from a relatively long and bumpy road to the restaurant (recommend taking a car), the experience was amazing. What felt like a tucked away in the jungle was hiding a modern Cambodian fine dining restaurant. Beautiful surroundings and the style of the restaurant. Chef's table experience was a delight. The chef talked to us during the dinner, shared his background and knowledge and of course finished off and served the meal. Everything tasted great and unique. Would absolutely recommend the restaurant to learn about and experience Cambodian cuisine. Tips: They do accept card for payment and 10% service charge included in final bill.

A spectacular meal in a gorgeous setting with impeccable service. An outing for dinner at Lum Orng has been a highlight of each of our three trips to Siem Reap the past couple of years. Tucked away at the end of a dirt road a 20-minute drive outside town (bring a face cover if you arrive by tuk-tuk!), your arrival the beautiful old home in a lush tropical setting foretells the experience awaiting you inside. The beautifully curated, prepared and presented tasting menu (rotates monthly) combines fresh ingredients and clever twists on familiar tastes to make every course a visual and sensory delight. We were personally greeted by the manager, and our waitress Toto explained each course and wine pairing in perfect English with a warm friendly demeanor. It was another fantastic evening at Lum Orn from start to finish, and we look forward to our next visit!

My friends and I came here and we were very impressed with the food! The scallops, duck, frog legs, and chicken cake were highlights. Honestly, it might be one of the best tasting menus I've had. Just make sure to make a reservation ahead of time!
