This was our first time going to Luma. Saw the pictures and decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was pretty nice. We reserved and got there around 7PM and the main dining area was quite empty. We got seated pretty quickly and our drinks were brought out quickly and tasted good. We ordered a set of fries while waiting for the main course and it was really good. We had the Salmon and Sirloin. Both were good, tasty and had good portion. My only gripe was that I ordered the steak as medium but I felt it was a bit undercooked. The middle was hardly warm while the outside was. Overall, we enjoyed the place and the waiter was great. He checked on us often and was pleasant to chat with.

Went to Luma for their Summerlicious dinner menu before catching a show nearby. It’s located on the second floor of the TIFF building. The dining room is quite spacious, and they also have a balcony patio that offers additional outdoor seating. It was a beautiful warm day, so it was great to sit outside. We were originally seated indoors, but I really appreciated our server asking if we’d prefer to move outside to enjoy the weather. For my appetizer, I had the split pea soup, which was surprisingly flavourful and satisfying. The pistachios added a nice bit of texture, and the whipped feta brought some extra depth to the dish. I did wonder how it might have tasted served warm, and if there were any whole peas in the mix. For the main course, I went with the sirloin steak. The creamed corn was delicious, and the vegetables were nicely charred. Unfortunately, the steak itself was overcooked - it came out medium when I had asked for medium rare. I initially requested it rare, but they mentioned they couldn’t accommodate that due to their sous vide process. We let the staff know, and they were very apologetic - they ended up comping our drinks, which was a thoughtful gesture. For dessert, I tried the Black Forest cake. It wasn’t my favourite - it felt too dense and heavy after the meal. I was hoping for something a bit lighter to finish things off.

We celebrated our anniversary at Luma and had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent; the staff was attentive and always made sure we had everything we needed. Both the manager and our server were professional and genuinely cared about providing great service. We truly enjoyed our anniversary celebration here! 100% recommendable.

Came for the summerlicious event ans to celebrate a relationship milestone. The staff was excellent, especially our waitress Paula. They went the extra mile with everything. 1 star deducted because my steak was overcooked, but still, a great experience.

I went to Luma with a friend yesterday on Wednesday, July 16th for a pre-show dinner. The food was excellent however we were a bit behind on the serving of dessert. Unfortunately we had to go to the theatre for 7pm so we had to rush and take out dessert. Service was good; staff friendly and attentive and the taste and presentation of food was amazing. I would highly recommend this place. I went for a summerlicious meal.

We arrived early for our reservation and had a cocktail at the bar, Magic Hours was a nice surprise! Drinks were excellent, bartender was a Manchester gem. Seated, and offered another happy hour priced cocktail, and then the service got bad. We ordered from the Winterlicious menu and enjoyed every single thing that came to the table, but food came out at different times and we had to flag the waiter more than once (so awkward) to get their attention. Will return because the food and atmosphere was 100%.

The food was absolutely fantastic! The Wellington Flat Iron is a must-try — perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. A special shoutout to our server, Dhyey, who took exceptional care of us throughout the evening — attentive, friendly, and professional. Highly recommend!

Food was good- the shrimp and gnocchi stood out. The place wasn’t busy but nice interior. Good option in that area. There was a large event in the bar area at the beginning which was loud but then the corporate group left.
