Lumen Hotel & The Lisbon Light Show

I had a wonderful stay at Lumen Lisboa! The hotel is modern, beautifully designed, and perfectly located. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. My room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything I needed ! PLUS the bed was so cozy! The light show in the courtyard was a really unique touch that made the whole experience feel special. Breakfast was varied and delicious, with fresh options every day. I also appreciated how peaceful the hotel was despite being in the city center…the perfect balance between calm and convenience. Would absolutely recommend and would love to come back again!

The Lumen is a truly fantastic property! ||Not only offering a rooftop pool, great restaurant, and fantastic bonus of the lightshow (more on this following), but as a hotel industry professional I cannot express enough how wonderful the staff all are and how impressive it was to experience such a perfect balance of professionalism and personalized engagement. In North America, especially since Covid, having highly engaged professional staff can be challenging; both from a training and experience perspective, and such is made more difficult by often not having sufficient staffing available to effectively have the time to deliver a great guest experience. Lumen Hotel delivers this on all counts and goes beyond as it does so in an authentic, comfortable and natural way versus an overly formalized technical delivery of service elements. Imagine a five star property such as Four Seasons or Fairmont, where not is service task delivery impeccable, but where the staff were able to be themselves and personal vs just technically efficient. ||The restaurant was excellent for dinner, and breakfasts were wonderful also highlighted by the fantastic staff that reinforce the comments above.||The rooftop pool is a great feature after a day of touring, and while some may expect the “Lightshow” to be a simplistic feature of not worth consideration, missing it would be a huge mistake. This isn’t a simple projection on a wall, but rather an immersive visual experience with significant technical features and individual segmented high definition images co-ordinated across many the many different structural components of the walls and pillars. We were really impressed, even having seen other high quality projection technology used for various types of large format displays in some large resorts. Not sure if TripAdvisor will allow me upload video but either way, I would encourage anyone to not miss the experience and it is definitely an additional benefit of choosing this property when staying in Lisbon . It offers a great bonus to staying at an already fantastic property which is run perfectly. The General Manager, Sergio has created an amazingly unique property experience, with the type of guest engagement that stands out dramatically and a property that I could not recommend more! ||(Sergio, should you ever wish to consider moving to Canada, please let me know as I can envision many I could connect you with, that would benefit from your skill in training, leadership and setting an environment which is a rare example or the highest bar these days of what a hotel experience can/should be!)||Thank you for a wonderful stay and I hope to return in the near future.

Wow what can I say about this hotel !!||From the minute we walked through the door, till the minute we left , the staff in this hotel were exceptional .||Upon check in we got upgraded to the suite as it was our wedding anniversary. The suite was simple stunning. It was like a large apartment .||We had drinks on the rooftop pool and it was so relaxing and the views were amazing. There was a DJ playing one of the nights and it was lovely. Drinks prices were reasonable at €8 a cocktail.||We noticed that if you made your own bed (which most people can do) you were left a €5 voucher off any of the bars in the hotel.||We had breakfast both mornings, and there is something there for everyone , from cereals , to cooked meats, the hot food and pastries . ||Lastly I hope the management read this, but I would like you to pay a compliment to all of your staff. The staff on reception could not be more helpful. They were constantly smiling and full of chat and remembered everyone . The men on the door were very polite and always said hello. The waiters and waitresses in the breakfast room were very attentive and the man behind the bar on the roof was lovely to deal with. It’s so hard to get pleasant , happy staff, and the staff in this hotel made our trip so please say a massive well done to them. I will be recommending this hotel to anyone visiting Lisbon after my experience . ||Thank you and hopefully see you again soon.

We had an amazing stay at Lumen Hotel. All of the staff in the restaurant and at the front desk were very warm and kind. Daniel and Luis were especially wonderful! The room was thoughtfully designed, with attention to all the little details in the room. There was beautiful wood working throughout the hotel. It was my birthday while we stayed at Lumen and I felt so celebrated, it was truly touching how the hotel went above and beyond. Breakfast was delicious. This hotel made for a very special experience in Lisbon.

The Lumen is a great option for quiet sleep, comfort and hits of luxury here and there. The locationcis convenient, impeccably maintained facilities, fantastic breakfast, great rooftop pool/ bar combo and the light show is a unique detail that will elevate the guest experience. Ample rooms and bathrooms with top technology. I also enjoyed the food at Clorofila. The gym is very small, but in excellent conditions. The staff are the best feature. Everyone was super proffesional, kind and willing to assist. I purchased 3 different items and got them shipped to the hotel in advance. They kept me posted and kept everything safe till my arrival. This was my third visit to Lisbon, and Lumen Hotel will be my choice next tume as well. My tip: when planning to watch the light show, order drinks early... The bar will get plenty of orders closer to start time, which slows down the service.

Love this place. Perfect for families. The two connected rooms and the hotel are incredibly charming. The laser light show is a special and unexpected treat each night so grab a cocktail and enjoy! From the moment you walk in the lobby until the moment that you leave, the staff is as friendly as they come. A special shout out to Francisco who took such good care of us and to the guys who found my wallet!

Rooms are wonderful and clean. Front desk and Cleaning staff is great. Breakfast buffet has many options and is delicious. Staff refills your coffee quickly and cheerfully. Everyone speaks English. About 1-2 miles from old town. Easy walk down but uphill walk back, so catch a cab

Everything was outstanding! The rooms are modern, comfortable, and beautifully designed. Staff were consistently professional, warm, and helpful throughout our stay. The rooftop pool and bar are perfect for relaxing after a day in the city. And the Light Show — absolutely magical, a unique and unforgettable touch. Great location, great vibe — we’ll definitely be back!
