Lumen Hotel & The Lisbon Light Show

We spent 2 nights at Lumen Hotel during our time in Lisbon and we had such an amazing time!The location is super convenient, close enough to everything but still quiet, so you actually sleep well! The hotel itself feels modern and cozy at the same time. Our room was bright, comfortable, and had really nice touches that made the stay feel easy with good workspace, great shower, comfy (and huge) bed, and big windows with lots of natural light. We stayed in a suite so we also had a balcony. We loved the light show in the interior garden! We had no idea what to expect, and it ended up being one of the coolest hotel experiences we’ve had. It happens every evening, and we would usually watch it after dinner. Breakfast was nice too and the staff was really friendly and helpful! Lumen was a perfect little base for our Lisbon days and we’d happily stay again.

This is a fantastic hotel! The staff are amazing, helpful, polite, obliging and respectful without being intrusive. They couldn't have tried any harder. The location is just a short walk from the main attractions, the hotel itself is impeccable. Bright, very clean, modern with just about everything you could want on a City holiday to Lisbon. Breakfast to die for and amazing food, including a sharing menu in their restaurant in the evening. To top it all off there is an amazing light show in the gardens at the rear of the hotel every night at 10. Thanks for a great experience, 100% recommendation!

We had an enjoyable experience staying here; the staff were all very pleasant and personable. Our room was well maintained and clean. Its location is somewhat akin to Canary Wharf, if any Londoners can relate to that comparison, although it’s quite possible to walk to everything you’d like to see in Lisbon. If not, it’s within good distance of multiple mass transit options. Breakfast was of acceptable quality, although do be aware that they’re not particularly proactive about refreshing options during the service. If you eat at the later breakfast sitting rather than the earlier one, the food will be noticeably poorer due to it perishing as it sits. I’d like to make a special mention of your bartending team, who are extremely talented and a real asset to your business. They embody all of the characteristics needed to be an excellent and push your service to higher levels.

I don't know how to leave a review that gives our experience here the justice it deserves. Me and a mate cycled 380 miles to get here and we were greeted with the warmest and most welcoming staff I have ever experienced! Nothing was too much trouble for them and they handled every request we had, from storing our bikes, to packing them into the travel bags with a smile and positive attitude! The reception staff were phenomenal and the bar staff were amazing. It didn't feel like staying in a hotel, more like home from home. If I had to rate this place out of 10, I'd give it a 20.... whatever it is you are doing, keep doing it. Other hotels in the future are going to struggle to top the experience. The 5 star review is well earned and the fact that this is classed as a 4 star hotel does not do it the justice it deserves! Fantastic 👌🏻

If I could give more than 5 stars we would. Just returned home and wanted to write this message of appreciation for the Lumen staff, who were super kind, friendly, helpful and professional. Daniel, in particular (overnight) recieves mention here, as he helped me to move our larger rental VW van from the basement narrow, winding garage for us with apparent ease. Thank You! Very kind and helpful staff. Rooms and beds were excellent, very comfortable and spotless. We would and WILL recommend Lumen Hotel to others. Thank you all. Best, Jeff K

Incredible hotel to feel right at home very fast. Great showers, beds, cleaning, and service. The cafe/common spaces are very cozy as well, and the staff were super friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone. I want to come back to see the light show and use the pool since I didn’t have the chance to do that sadly and they seem phenomenal too. The location is a little removed from the old centre but it’s still easily accessible and it is desirable if you don’t want the constantly have crowds of tourists around. I rarely give a 5 star rating for a stay, but I really have no complaints.

We stayed here for a week in October. A fabulous city hotel with easy access to everything Lisbon has to offer.|The hotel is modern in every sense, from calling the barman via a tablet to the environmental awareness of giving a 5 euro voucher if you choose not to have your room cleaned. |The staff are professional, polite and very welcoming, happy to help with any enquiry you may have.|The rooms are a good size, very well maintained and cleaned every day if required. The breakfast has a large choice and is very good quality. My wife is gluten intolerant and was provided with a selection of gluten free breads and cakes upon request. |The lobby bar is very nice as is the rooftop bar with pool, which we visited on one of the sunnier days we had. Definitely worth a visit for the view of Lisbon on a clear day. We used the lobby bar most days upon return from our travels.|The nearest metro is a 2 minute walk away and you are only 2 or 3 stops away from the main attractions.|We watched the lightshow a few times during our stay, a very clever and well thought out use of images, videos and sound projected onto the hotel buildings.|A very enjoyable and relaxing stay and we will return on our next trip to Lisbon!
