LUMEN - Museum of Mountain Photography

As a photography enthusiast, I absolutely loved the Lumen Museum. The exhibitions are inspiring and beautifully curated, but it’s not just for photographers—anyone can enjoy the stunning visuals and unique atmosphere. We spent about 1.5 hours exploring and really taking our time, and it was worth every minute.

Nice restaurant, and their coffee is much better than in other mountain restaurants. The mille-feuille is excellent 😍

Spectacular museum with alot of interactivity and dynamism, a must visit for photography lovers. The museum blends history, art, and technical photography, with modern technology to present unique interessing rooms. We were particularly impressed with the mirror room, rush photo room and the eye/platform room. No matter your age or interests, you are unlikely to get bored while visiting this museum.

Very nice and interesting museum. I appreciate the fact that the curators actually tried to make the exhibition interactive and use modern technology to bring immersive experience to the visitors. The space of the museum is well structured. You can learn new information and admire the history of photography. I really enjoyed our visit here.

The museum Lumen is really interesting, just the fact that is situated at 2265 meters, at the summit Kronplatz. There are many interactive activities, hidden corners, 4 floors, cool lift and an amazing glass window where you can sit in one of the armchairs and get lost in the view. I particularly like the flight in the helicopter and the never ending room of mirrots. The photographs that are on display are amazing. Definitely worth visiting especially use your free ticket (buses, trains and museums) and get in for free. The only small setback is that it is so warm inside. There are lockers but you are in your ski boots, and it is really warm.

Top location, amazing food, very interesting museum. The view from restaurant van be great, a lot of cloud when we were there. The lunch was of high culinary level. The museum is expensive so take your time to enjoy.

At this date (28.09.2025) at 15:30 ,The service at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. The waitress, a young woman with blonde hair, was unbelievably rude and disrespectful. Her attitude ruined the whole experience, and I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

This is a six star museum for its location, content, and incredibly designed exhibits. I’m speechless, never mind skiing to its front door. Be sure to eat at the equally mind blowing restaurant next door.
