13 Ways to Celebrate Christmas in Florida

"A light festival at a Miami eco-adventure park that runs November to March and features more than 100 illuminated sculptures handmade from steel and silk, depicting tropical birds, flowers, and even an art-deco building homage to local architecture. The event is family-friendly and stroller- and wheelchair-accessible; weekends skew more grown-up with occasional acrobatic performances and a cocktail bar." - Skye Sherman Skye Sherman Skye Sherman is a travel writer based in West Palm Beach, Florida. Luminosa is amazing! We bought tickets online, expected traffic (give yourself time to get there) and $20 to park on-site. This is great activity for families or groups and the grounds are huge! Every time we thought it was over, there was actually more. We were there between Xmas and New Years, so they had live singers, a huge tree and a covered area with hot cocoa and Xmas decor. Snacks/food and drinks (even alcohol) all available for purchase. There is a great playground and lots of room for kids to explore! 10/10 recommend.

I honestly thought this would be a waste of money, but I was wrong. The exhibition is huge, beautifully organized, with stunning illuminated animals and plants, plus kids’ areas, food, and plenty of restrooms. Ticket prices are reasonable — we spent about $100 for three people. Highly recommend.

Many illuminated animals and plenty of beautiful visualizations of culture. The sequence is random and not guided in a certain order. Better to know the map of the area to decide our own option. Recommended for small kids but can be enjoy by everyone.

Disappointed. There are a lot less lights than you think. Went to the 7pm show but was told to return at 9pm. At least we think that's what they said because no english speakers and he just held up 9 fingers and said bye 🤷‍♀️. $20 parking is absolutely ridiculous especially when the entire 2nd and ground floor reeks of garbage. Walking on one side to approach the Christmas Village you can see and smell the garbage filled dumpsters. There was one open snack stand and one open bar with overpriced drinks. Upside, saw an emu, wallerby and the cockatoos were entertaining. There was no crowd on a Monday. Honestly, not something I'll recommend as a main attraction but maybe a by the way, sideline activity. Not worth the cost.

This is my 2nd time going to Luminosa. My 1st experience (a couple of years back) was great. This time around, not so much. Make sure to buy your ticket online, as you cannot purchase it at the door. The installations and facilities just feel old and unkept. At 7pm there is a show of an Asian doing acrobatics. Be ready for a 5 minute show. Literally. We took to get to get to the venue, than what the show lasted. Do not even bother on going. For what you pay, I was expecting a much better experience.

The lights and displays were great for my 1-year-old. It was nice to walk around and enjoy the sights. Main drawbacks are the ticket prices seem expensive for what you get, parking is an additional $20, and there is basically no signage explaining which direction to walk in so we ended up retracing our steps several times/going to dead ends just to make sure we didn’t miss anything. The online map was not too helpful - they can definitely use some clearer signage for directions. Also, the description online makes it sound far larger and more expansive than what it is. Overall it was a nice experience but I wouldn’t return or necessarily recommend it as a good value activity

The lights are very pretty... HOWEVER, my family and I walked the whole thing TWICE in less than an hour. We took pictures and videos. Watch a few mins of the live show and my son played at the little playground for like 5 minutes. We were still done within an hour. We went to Luminosa in Nashville last year and it was awesome! We were there for hours! Miami has me very disappointed.

It's beautiful very nice to bring children and adults. the journey through the lights is not very long you have to go three different paths so you don't lose any of the decoration and lights. There's a show but it's not really good not wasting time on this one especially if you have kids. The parking it's fix rate at 20 $.
