I stayed here with my family of 4 for 5 nights and was pleasantly impressed. The owner was very nice and let us view the type of rooms prior to us booking. He showed us the pool, facilities and beach area. ||Food|Food was very good and even had a pizza and sandwiches menu if civeche or Peruvian dishes are not your thing. Complimentary breakfast each morning consisted of freshly baked bread, fresh papaya juice, coffee, and scrambled eggs. You can order something different for an extra cost. My girls who are 2 and 4 (picky eaters) had no problems with the food.||Staff|Staff was very nice and room was clean. There is hot water for showering (not all hotels have hot water). The only downside at this time is the grillos (crickets). They get really bad once the sun goes down and they actually crawled into our room and one night they were crawling around in the beds.. pretty creepy. They are bad now due to the extreme rain Peru was hit with from Jan -April. Not sure how long this would last for. They are harmless but very annoying. Some rooms have AC and some don't. ||Pool|Pool was maintained and cleaned every morning. They have a shallow side for kiddies and a deeper side for adults. Overall nice size pool.||Ocean|The beach is not available at all times- only in the morning until about 12pm due to tide coming in. You can walk along the beach every morning and find local fisherman fishing. Was very nice. ||Wifi|There is wifi but it isn't very strong- not good enough to watch movies / Netflix. They do have a TV and you can hook up a DVD player if you bring one. ||Overall we had a great time at Luna Neuva and strongly recommend for families. When we went there it wasn't busy- we pretty much had the resort to ourselves and the grillos 😬.|
