I paid $30 for a dorm bed. It is 1:42AM on Saturday night and the music from the club downstairs is so so loud i cant fall asleep..why couldn’t the reception tell me about this when they took my money.

i think it is absurd how loud the music is playing here. We stayed next to this place and had several nights in a row where the music was pounding untill late night, not caring about any of the other places in the neighbourhood.

My sister and I stayed here for 2 nights. We had a lovely time. The staff here was wonderful, very kind, and extremely helpful. We did the walking tour with Chris : spotted a bunch of wildlife and learned a ton ! Would highly recommend staying at this hostel - it’s clean & beds were comfortable with privacy curtains. The atmosphere/vibe here is just amazing. I would definitely come back to this hostel !

Very nice hostel to stay in. Especially room 7 is perfect! Lots of backpackers and people to explore the city with. Chris gives a walking tour almost everyday of the week and I would definitely recommend to do this! It was a great walk, with loads of wild animal spotting, good food stops and a view over the city and the Panama Canal. Would definitely recommend this hostel to everyone!

Wow what a brilliant hostel to visit and stay in when you are in panama city I cannot think of a better hostel in the world! The common areas are very clean and they have a lot of things to do such as ping pong or reading or playing games or chatting to other travellers and it was very homely! They also have a huge bar that you can reach from the back stairs it was very cool! The drinks are so cheap and good! There are beautiful trees and little sit off areas where you can meet other travellers from many other hostels. It is a very popular outdoor bar but there is no issue with noise within the hostel rooms! Stay here it is top!!

|Luna Castle was a good hostel to stay at; clean beds, a steady stream of beer pong and great company is what to expect when staying here. Rooms were air conditioned nicely, however it would’ve been better if they kept it on throughout the day! Cheap drinks downstairs for happy hour and lovely food at the restaurant nearby! Based in the centre of Casco, you cannot go wrong. Chris operates an insightful walking tour, showing animals, while enlightened you on the history and rich culture of Panama City. This complimented with refreshing homemade smoothies and the best ceviche at the lowest local price. He brings an exciting element to the hostel and leaves everyone happy. Booked for two nights and ended up staying just under a week! ||Thank you for your hospitality Luna Castle!

I stayed for one night (a Saturday) in February, taking one day for myself after a work trip. ||||The property is very nice and organized. My private room was spacious, clean, cool, and secure. The location of this hostel can not be beat. I wish that I had had more time there, getting to meet more people and participate in some of the activities. ||||The only downside is the noise--and I'm not taking about normal hostel, "people bustling about noise." The property is on top of a bar, and the night (a Saturday) that I was there, it was BLASTING music from 8pm to 4am. The fans in my room blocked the noise somewhat, but I was so anxious that I wouldn't hear my phone's alarm for my early flight. My bed would shake with the vibrations. Had I been in vacation mode, it would have been fine, I guess. I wouldn't have gone to bed later, and been able to sleep in later with no worries. I was exhausted from the work portion of my trip and anxious about oversleeping my early flight, so I was not comfortable and up every 1 at least.

I've stayed at Luna's Castle many times. It's a really great hostel, that seems to think of lots of nice extras, like a power connection in each locker, so everyone can charge their phones, computers, etc while in their locker. There's a fan and privacy curtain for each dorm bed. Lots of common areas to relax, whether you want to be social or have quiet time. Free pancakes, coffee, and tea every day. Great location, in Casco Viejo, not far from the seafood market. Great views. Happy hour specials. The only little problem that would be nice to be fixed would be the crazy-loud fan at reception. With a quieter fan, it would be easier to communicate with the lovely and very helpful staff.
