北宋太平兴国七年（982年）至雍熙中，王文罕兄弟捐资重修殿宇，并增建砖塔两座，千余年来仅多次修理塔刹相轮，结构式样保持不变。塔的外壁虽为八角形，但内部方室仍沿袭北魏以来旧制，实为唐宋之间砖塔平面演变的实物例证。
