Charming atmosphere, warm service and outstanding portuguese food and wines. The coffee was amazing (as usual in Portugal...)

Very good option if you like traditional Portuguese food. Came here twice during my short Hamburg visit. Underrated from my perspective. Price/quality/portion ratio unbeatable, especially when I compare to other places that I visited in Hamburg. I ordered "púcara" plates because they are more seasoned. One time with pork and another time with lamb. They were both quite good in my opinion. I also had the opportunity to try the calamari and shrimps. I also liked it. However this might not be for everyone and I could see that when I read some comments. Avoid if the next points are a deal breaker for you. This is a traditional place with a modest atmosphere. Do not expect anything flashy. Traditional portuguese food is not vegan/vegetarian friendly. I am portuguese and I do not enjoy traditional Portuguese salad. But there are people that do. The salad is complimentary anyway. I did not try the fish, but fish in Mediterranean cuisine is very often served with a lot of olive oil or you add it yourself. If you only eat fish with remoulade or do not tolerate olive oil, then might be wise to avoid ordering fish here. It delivers on it's (traditional) promise with exceptional prices. So 5 Stars. Unfortunately I leave too far from here. Otherwise I would come more often.

A very traditional, small family-run restaurant. We went on a Saturday and ordered - a seafood salad, which was very large and very tasty - a fish soup, which tasted more like tomato juice plus a bit sea food - grilled squids (a special that day for 14 €), which was very delicious, including the potatoes (they took out the intestines of the squids) - king shrimps with white asparagus in some super delicious sauce (I think it was mainly pimentón plus yogurt) The last two dishes came with a small salad and some white bread. The fish soup was the only one I wouldn’t recommend.

Authentic and great portuguese food. An old restaurant, a little stuffy inside, but cozy. Staff could be friendlier. Good pricing.

Excellent food and location. Price is also nice considering the other restaurants of the area.

We came here for dinner with a small group. The service was very friendly. The interior is okay, a lot of wood. It’s nothing too fancy. We all ordered some food, which arrived after a bit of waiting. I must confess that I didn’t like the food at all. The lamb stew was stringy, tough and had a strong smell. It was not at all what I had expected it to be. Other members of the group had different meals, which were okay - but not more than that. I would not come back here for food.

Yelp
Fantastic food with nice home cooking ambience in the Portuguese restaurant row of Hamburg. Highly recommend the shrimp with capers. Service was fast and the food was authentic and not expensive.

Yelp
Given the high praise for this place here on Yelp, we were pretty disappointed with our experience here. Maybe we were there on an off-night or the dish we got (paella) was just not their thing. We shared a single meat/seafood paella with a small pitcher of sangria. The fact that it had pork instead of chorizo or something a bit more authentic was a little weird. That aside, though, the dish was a mix of blandness and over-saltiness (possibly to make up for the blandness?). Gordon Ramsey would have definitely had one of his overly dramatic fits over this dish. Service was present but not friendly or engaging by any means. Our German was mostly non-existent at that point though, so that could have been the reason. That said, they weren't much more engaging with the only other table, which was German, in the place. They mostly stood behind the bar, occasionally staring out at the dining room. Place is cozy and charming, if not a little kitsch. Prices are very reasonable. With slightly friendlier/livelier service and better seasoning, this could be a nice place. As is, we'll probably look elsewhere for Portuguese dinner options.

Yelp
Very good food. Salad was huge. I decided on the roasted veggie pasta with Parmesan. Very light and refreshing. Sat outside and enjoyed the view. Only downside was service was too slow and we had to go I side to order our food

Yelp
Lovely food and well selected portuguese wine (on bottle). The atmosphere was a bit simple, which counts for 4 instead of 5 stars.

Yelp
Casual and informal context, very friendly and direct staff, fresh and tasty food, and good price. 2 people we paid 40 € for a fish soup, fish plate and few drinks. This place takes 5 stars over 5 from me, because I was simply interested in having a nice meal without caring so much about the luxury around it and I was completely satisfied with what I had.

Yelp
My first visit to Hamburg area... Referenced to Yelp for a local eatery. I had the Peixe mistro grelhado (mixed grilled fish platter)... the fish tasted so fresh and flavors were amazing!! Really hlad that we stopped in for dinner
