LUST Bistro & Bakery

I came here after some wine tasting and had the steak and chips, which was admiteddly on the smaller side (as the waiter cautioned), but surprisingly filling. The bistro does have a bakery, and although I couldn't try their sourdough it sure did look delicious. I would recommend as a great spot for a light meal or a quick snack. Don't forget to grab some baked goods to enjoy later!

We spent a lovely Sunday lunch sharing the Ploughman’s platter. It was divine and packed, they are very generous! Paired with a glass of the Jess Dry Rosé and a walk around the farm, it was the perfect way to end off a quiet Sunday. 🍷

We ordered steak with roast veggies on the side, and burger with fries, was really delicious! Antoinette served us today, she kept checking in to see if we needed anything, making sure we enjoyed the meal, was a wonderful dining experience! Would definitely recommend friends to come!

Surprisingly Lust Bistro and Bakery was open today for lunch after we searched severeal restaurants in rhe area that was xcloses due to covid19. The waiters are very friendly. All tables and chairs arw disinfected before you sit down. They even wrap your cutlery in a sealed plastic bag to prevent any contamination. We ordered thw 28cm Canjun chicken pizza to share and washes it down with redreshing local craft beer on tap. Though the pizza was delicious for is it ia not worth paying R150. Why? Few small piecea if chicken, thin filling and half an avo in rhe middle. We also saw some of the burgers they served at R150. Hmmm bit prizy according to us. Coffee is very nice and strong. The red velvet cake is a bit dry and I personally dis nor like the fresh cream feisting on top and inbetween the cake layers. My partner enjoyed his baked cheese cake. The slices tiny for the usual R45 per slice. The wine tasting area looks relaxing with a nice view of the mountains and you can take a relaxing stroll through their beautiful garden.

A lovely experience from start to finish. Had a table booked and soon realised after about 30 mins it was a good idea to book. The place was busy and buzzing. Service was quick. Food was beautiful and tasteful. Such a lovely place to enjoy food or just a cuppa. Will come back again. Definitely recommend.

Had an exceptional dining experience at Vrede en Lust! The roast fillet was out of this world and melted in my mouth. The chick pea salad was delicious. Service was top-notch - speedy and with a smile. Highly recommend!

Fantastic; we had breakfast here a week ago or so, and it was fantastic. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals and drinks. The service was very good and we were treated well. I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try, and we'll be back whenever we can.

For a long weekend place was relatively empty and service was slow. Had to ask for menus and had to share a menu as they did not have enough. I ordered a burger and was advised the meat was served medium. I received the burger with well done patties (X2) which was disappointing. Burger roll also stale and I did not even eat it. The taste was ok but would have been better with medium cooked patties.
