Lutyens Bungalow

We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed our stay so much. This quiet property with a beautiful garden and a nice pool area in the center of New Delhi, you would not believe to be in such a big city. The famly welcomes you warmly and we enjoyed both the dinner and the breakfasts together with other guests at a long table outside on the terace. Our room had AC and was very clean and nice. I wish, there were more places like this to stay all over the world.

An oasis next to beautiful Lodhi Gardens in Delhi. A warm, familial atmosphere, communal breakfast with other guests, and adorable Maple, the golden retriever, make this a very special landing place. Highly recommend for business or personal travel !

Extremely disappointing. Website pictures very flattering. Only stayed 1 night of 3 planned due to Smog. No sympathy from owners with no refund, or even airport transfer thrown in (get Uber or booking.com instead as 1/3 price). Old old rooms that were clean enough but very basic and the shower did not work. Dogs howling all night felt like they were outside the door. Yeah colonial, but in a bad way. You can do so much better.

The pluses about this place: Location, spotless rooms, clean and renovated bathrooms and for non Indians, a chance to stay in an Indian family's house with a great deal of historic character and to experience the closeness of Indian family life. The antique pictures of the owner with Prime Minister Nehru are an amazing touch. |Minuses: The pictures make the place look very green. In reality, the greenery is dried up. Pls water it well to make it look like the pics. 2) We had booked a room with two twin beds. One twin bed was normal and comfortable but the other was a makeshift kind that creaked constantly almost looking like it would break down. 3) The inside dining area is messy, cramped and old - needs a do-over and kept tidy not disorganized like I saw it. 'Since Delhi's weather in Nov-Feb can be too cold to sit outside and eat, this is important as I found the cramped dining space not enjoyable.||Unfortunately the same thing which is a great plus is also a minus...Location. Thruout the night I could hear traffic. It can't be helped as major arteries are close by and this is a city. Upscale Khan Market and Beautiful Lodhi Gardens are within walking distance.

Tremendous welcome and very hospitable hosts. Helpful, kind and warm. The homemade food is delicious, the accommodation is great and the chance to chat to other visitors is there to be taken. Very good location. Easy trains or tuktuk into Delhi. Super place.

This redoubtable and wonderful establishment keeps pulling back its regular clients. The charming Nath family offer a guesthouse style setting where conversing with other visitors, a mix of ex-pats, writers, artists and business people as well as tourists is expected over breakfast and dinner. Although its not particularly inexpensive, nor is it exactly luxurious, though The pool is lovely. If you order dinner (vegetarian) it's likely that it will feature dishes cooked from vegetables grown in the delightful garden. This is not the place for those seeking the luxury of international hotels, or who guard their privacy closely, but a great place to settle into India. A walk across Lodi Gardens will take you to Khan market.

It's amazing to be able to share a piece of history with the city itself... located in a very calm, tranquil and upscale area in South Delhi... We were very lucky to have found this treasure trove...a paradise for pet lovers too. Every nook and corner is so aesthetic and mediative. The natural setting is unbelievable and top it up with special attention to every guests comfort. Friendly service and and old world charm. Even a 5 star can beat the experience... loved it so much...
