The hotel is breathtaking but the staff make the experience even more special.|It’s our second visit and we surprised our daughter and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. |It was great to see familiar faces greeting us with a smile. Special mention to Sandeep who was always willing to help. The beach team worked tirelessly with a special mention to Reedoo and Kumar who welcomed us with a smile everyday and ensured we were always happy. Thank you 🙏 |The food is fabulous and there is so much choice. One of the head chefs in Palm Court (he sorted my eggs at breakfast) always asked how our meal had been and was really lovely. It’s the little touches - chocolates sent to our rooms as returner guests.|The rooms are beautiful , we stayed in a Superior Room this time, very spacious and well stocked with snacks and drinks. The large bed was so comfortable. Our housekeepers were Jessica and Shehbirr who were so friendly and ensured we had everything we needed and kept our room spotless. |Finally, the spa team with a very special mention to Sun who we were so pleased to see. Sun remembers everything!|If you are thinking of going do. Nestled in the peaceful area of Grand Gaube, this resort truly won our hearts! Hospitality: This all-inclusive resort offered the most comfortable stay we’ve ever had. We had booked a room for our 1-year anniversary, and the resort surprised us with a complimentary upgrade—such a thoughtful gesture! The hosts and hostesses were incredibly warm, with a special shoutout to Elena at the reception for her wonderful welcome. Food: With our strict Jain dietary requirements, we were a bit nervous, but Head Chef Deepak, along with Chefs Singh and Aartee, prepared Jain meals exactly as needed—and they were excellent! Stewards Yasser, Ansh, Sandiven, Purugan and Ricardo also took fantastic care of us, suggesting great mocktails and ensuring we were well looked after. Feedback: A few things that could be improved: • The adults-only beach area felt slightly understaffed. • Reaching the reception over the phone was difficult at times—possibly due to full occupancy. • Beach Rouge café was closed during most non-dinner hours, which felt odd. • The currency exchange counter charges a steep 7% commission, which leaves guests with little choice if paying in cash. Overall: Despite these minor points, this is undoubtedly one of the best resorts we’ve ever stayed at. We would love to visit again if given the chance! We were unbelievably impressed with the resort, it met and exceeded every one of our expectations and truly is a 5 star experience. So much so, that we are planning on making this an annual occurrence. The grounds and beaches were no doubt beautiful, but the attentiveness and hospitality of the staff as well as the quality of the food and drinks goes miles beyond what you would usually expect, even for a 5 star resort. The hotel offers a buffet at the Palm Court as well as 3 or 4 other à la carte restaurants which are include in the half board package. Normally, the highlight of these hotels are the restaurants, but we were so impressed by the quality of the buffet that we ended up there almost every night. Each station offered unique, delicious meals all at a level of quality you would expect to be served at a high-end restaurant. My girlfriend suffers from a nut allergy and the chefs went as far as to offer to cook her special meals and desserts each night. This was despite all the food already having sufficient allergy labelling and there being plenty of choice for her. There is clearly no such thing as a shortcut and Giany (the GM) and his team clearly put guest experience at the top of their priority list. I could not recommend this resort enough!

We just returned after 10 fabulous days in this hotel. We had stayed at Lux Le Morne a few times before so had high hopes and Grand Gaube definitely surpassed expectations. The resort itself is stunning, with beautiful and thoughtful interiors. The rooms are very spacious (and cleaned incredibly regularly). The beach was perfect for our nearly 2 year old son and super safe. The food was fantastic - with lots of variety and even staying for 10 days, we didn't feel bored. The hotel is perfectly set up for young families, without feeling like you are at a family conveyor belt hotel, which is fantastic. We used the kids club/babysitting services a few times and it was all very easy and our son was happy to be there. Whilst we didn't get to use them for the above reason, the sports facilities with tennis, padel, gym etc. also looked fantastic. Our only slight negative is that the hotel was very busy when we stayed, and the service was mixed - some fantastic members of staff going above and beyond, but some cases where it did take a very long time to get drinks, food etc. particularly on the beach. Overall, we really had a wonderful and relaxing stay and will definitely return.

My husband and I returned to celebrate our birthdays for a second time. The first time left us wanting more and we will definitely be back a third time.||Facilities: |Our accommodation for the 10 days was fantastic. Even with a minor issue, it didn’t have an impact on our holiday. We cannot thank the staff and management for their efficiency in dealing with the issue. It turned out that we were moved to another room which rectified the issue.|A huge shout out to our house keeper Sabrina!||We made use of their gym, mind, body and soul fitness studio and the relaxation area in the spa. A huge shout out to the ladies in the spa.|There is so much to do during the day if you decide to stay onsite. ||As frequent travellers, we definitely feel the people make the place. |A huge thank you to Sandeep and all the other managers and staff team who make the Lux Grand Guabe a place you never want to leave.||Food:|Be sure to visit every restaurant to experience the food and the ambiance.||The Palmcourt serves a range of food to tantalise every tastebud. Get one of the chefs to make you an omelette - very tasty.|If you are looking to eat something exquisite, then book an evening meal at the Inti, you will not be disappointed.|The food at the Hug Me Honey experience was to die for! My husband left so inspired that he has volunteered to cook Christmas dinner. Thank you chef Ramen for your culinary skills that we still imagine the taste of every day. A huge shout out to Diren who also helped make our experience out of this world.||Be sure to book yourself a pottery class with Lena. It was our first time tackling this new skill and we found it a fun-filled experience. ||Overall, we rate this holiday 10/10. Booked an all inclusive day pass at this hotel and we had a fantastic day. The hotel is located in a quite area on the beach. The grounds are stunning, there is a grand entrance which takes you out to views of the bay. Food and drinks were all of an excellent standard and service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was very relaxed and we were left to enjoy the day in the hotel at our own pace. We loved it so much we visited again for another day.

Had an amazing week at Lux Grand Gaube. The check in process was quick and easy. The resort itself is a beauty!! The staff were very friendly and helpful in every way. The water sports offered for free was the best thing about the place. Foods was great and the restaurants perfectly situated. The rooms were very clean and so homely. Cleaning staff were very friendly too and took good care of the rooms. Would definitely love to visit this place again.

The property and beach view rooms are excellent, and the location is beautiful. However, the service quality is far below expectations and does not match the standards of a luxury resort. Room service is extremely poor. In-room dining takes more than 1.5 hours to deliver food, even after multiple follow-ups. Even basic maintenance issues like a non-working AC take 40 minutes or more for a technician to respond. For the price and brand reputation, this level of service is unacceptable. Only for the view you can visit this resort—that’s it. A great property alone cannot compensate for such poor service standards. Serious improvement is needed.
