LUX Le Morne

Start with the good: 1) The location is AMAZING. Good for most attractions and the beach is wonderful 2) The hotel is fantastic. Almost everything is perfectly executed. Staff is lovely and helpful 3) The food is really good. You have either Buffet included or you can choose from 3 restaurants (not all of them included - depends on your fare) 4) The aqua sports is great and very available. The bad: 1) You get 2 bottles of purified water in the room, but in the meals - no drinks are included (only in breakfast they are). And moreover - you actually have to pay for water which is just crazy and disrespectful in a resort at this price level. Such a foolish move on their behalf (on my opinion) 2) There is free jacuzzi as part of the spa. BUT - the jacuzzi’s temperature is around 25 degrees Celsius which is quite cold and obviously not a real jacuzzi but only bubbling water. I mean guys what the heck? It’s so simple and a basic service. Totally recommend you to come - but those small mistakes in my eyes have made them lose a star.

My wife Annelise and I had an amazing Baby-moon at LUX Le Morne this last week. We enjoyed every moment, from the beautiful setting, the comfortable room, the amazing amenities and of-course the service which was fantastic. So caring and helpful and made us feel special. In particular we'd like to thank Dylan (from the Oasis beach side), Eulalei, Azra, Hassan, Iqbal, Hans and Nurse Simona. These are just a couple of the fantastic people who work there and made sure we had an amazing experience! We will be coming back.

An absolutely exceptional stay at Lux Le Morne! The location is simply stunning, with dreamlike beaches and a truly paradisiacal setting. The hotel itself is flawless, but what really makes the difference is the kindness and professionalism of the staff…always smiling, attentive, and welcoming. The three restaurants are outstanding: every meal is a culinary journey, and lunch is just incredible! You can’t help but enjoy every bite. A wide range of activities is offered, so it’s impossible to get bored. Special mention to the spa, a truly magical experience, and to the fitness area, which is perfectly equipped. I also loved the workshops, especially the latte art session, a must-try! Abi is passionate and knows the history of coffee in Mauritius, which makes the experience even more fascinating. A hotel I wholeheartedly recommend for an unforgettable stay! 🌴

The most important aspect of LUX Le Morne is its location. The views here are stunning, especially the mountain itself. So is the ocean in this area and the beach nearby LUX is clean in comparison with other beach areas. Rooms here are well maintained, spacious and cozy. You can find a well equipped gym (considering the fact that is a hotel gym). Also, SPA deserved a recommendation. The masseuses actually do know what they’re doing and that is not very common in resorts’ SPA. Food is not bad, yet I wouldn’t recommend coming without any package because prices are ridiculously high and none of those meals are worth its price. Tere are also three other restaurants, not included in any package which is not understandable. As far as I’m concerned, a major issue of this place is a chaotic (although very kind) service staff. I’ve lost the track of times I was served coffee with wrong milk - for which one may wait more than 30 minutes. Tables in the main restaurant were often uncleaned even though there were very few people. Similarly at the beach, where orders often happen to be incomplete. Basically, the guests must be rather patient with their requests.

We didn’t stay at the hotel, but we stopped by for a coffee at the hotel bar. We were warmly welcomed by Abi, the manager. The bar was lovely, and Abi and the whole team were absolutely adorable. Thank you again for the warm welcome, Abi, hope to see you again soon! :)

Excellent hotel in a stunning location||We had a wonderful stay at Lux Le Morne Mauritius. The hotel is excellent, spotlessly clean, and set on a truly beautiful beach with breathtaking views.||One of the highlights of our trip was swimming with wild dolphins — absolutely well worth doing and an unforgettable experience.||I would definitely recommend spending the extra for an ocean view room; waking up to that view really added something special to our stay.||The restaurant was very good overall, although a few more themed evenings would be welcome, especially for guests staying for two weeks or longer.||The staff were amazing, particularly in the restaurant. They shared great tips about the island, made us laugh, and even brought us bowls of fresh lychees at breakfast — such a lovely touch. A special thank you to Cindy and Viswanee for making our stay even more memorable.||We would happily return and highly recommend this hotel.

The friendly and professional staff were amazing at every hour, even with our late evening arrival. The facilities were beautifully designed and very well-maintained. Our room was spotless clean and had a welcoming feel. We ate at the large, main restaurant only for breakfast, but it had every food you can imagine, all presented nicely and very fresh. Even with a busy buffet, it stayed clean and organized. We booked dinner at "East" the first night and the food and atmosphere was so good, we booked again for our final evening. The service was amazing and we met with the chef our final night when he prepared a special selection of sample plates. We also ate at the The Beach Restaurant, but not as impressed. It was busy, noisy with slower, cooler service. The menu had some fun selections, so we found plenty to eat. For our afternoon cocktails and snacks, we spent time with Abi at the Maison Lux cafe and bar - our favorite part of the hotel! Abi was the most attentive, gracious host and was an excellent representative of first class service at this hotel. The spa provided excellent massage services, but we were a little disappointed with the hot tub/ jacuzzi. It was cold and surprisingly stained and worn-looking compared to the rest of the excellent facilities. The steam room and sauna were nicely maintained and worked well. I usually try different places when I travel, but I hope to return to Lux le Morne again for a longer stay.
