LUX South Ari Atoll

We have visited LUX* South Ari Atoll eight times now, which is itself a testament to the esteem in which we hold it. The island location is beautiful - tranquil, with pristine white sand beaches and turquoise waters. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, but also offer seclusion; we always opt for beach villas, where being able to walk off the rear veranda and straight into the sea in under twenty seconds is sublime. LUX* has a large range of restaurants and bars; the food, cocktails, wine and other drinks are all outstanding. Across the board, the service is attentive, thorough and friendly. Special shout-outs to: - Sangeeth: has gone out of his way to look after us exceptionally well on every visit. - Chef Subbunhi: always warm and welcoming, has made us bespoke, off-menu meals of some of the finest Indian food we have had. - Ahusan: provided excellent housekeeping, making lots of effort to ensure occasions such as birthdays were extra special. - Rachael: great job managing our bookings/activities and keeping us up-to-date. - Shifaz and Dharminder: we have known both for many years; they are always extremely welcoming and helpful. - Chef Pong: very friendly and warm and makes delicious off-menu Thai food for us. There are many more names we could list; for now, we'll highlight the excellent service from Roshika, Jobair, Vijay, Huzam, Khan, Jino, Masud, Pintu and Chef Senthil. We cannot wait to return.

We had a wonderful stay with family at Lux for 4 days! The rooms were comfortable, the resort was beautiful and the food was delicious! But most importantly, the staff and the hospitality was unparalleled. Want to give a huge shout out to Pradeep, Mano and Vijay who went above and beyond to understand our needs, recommend places and food options, and ensuring we were well taken care of throughout our stay. Additionally, Rashwaan ensured our rooms were serviced routinely and well, leaving a crafty surprise for my kids that brought a smile to their faces every time we entered the room. We look forward to coming back again.

We had the trip of a lifetime at Lux South Ari Atol. Everything about our stay was a dream come true. Gatsby, our host, was so kind and welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was special. The housekeeping team were great, keeping our room spotless and leaving us cute notes and towels in the shape of animals. We loved the Senses restaurant for lunch and dinner, and we liked East Market best for breakfast - a special mention to Dasun, Rimah, Anusha and Chef Harsn for looking after us beautifully. We loved our speciality coffee lesson from Nur in the cafe, and we loved our buggy rides with all of the drivers, but Mofizul was so happy, kind and fun! We would love to come back soon!

The hotel’s manicured grounds and gardens are truly exceptional—immaculately maintained, beautifully designed, and strikingly clean. They create an immediate sense of elegance and set a very high standard upon arrival. Throughout the property, there are many clever and witty design touches that add character and visual interest to the public spaces.||That said, this high level of design does not extend consistently to the guest rooms. In contrast to the rest of the resort, the materials used in the rooms feel inexpensive and detract from the overall sense of quality one would expect from a property of this calibre.||The dining experience is largely excellent. The themed restaurants are spotless, the service is attentive, and the food is consistently delicious. The only area for improvement would be the fruit offering, which feels limited compared to the otherwise high culinary standards.||The youth programme could benefit from better planning and supervision. Activities are sometimes announced without staff present—such as volleyball sessions with no hotel team members available—and some offerings, like sushi-making for teenagers at 10 a.m., feel poorly timed and not particularly engaging for the target age group.||Comfort is another recurring concern throughout the resort. Seating in public areas is generally uncomfortable and rarely invites guests to linger. A notable example is the bar in front of the Japanese restaurant: visually impressive, yet the seating arrangement does not encourage guests to stay beyond a single drink.||On a more positive note, room service is outstanding, and the towel arrangements are executed with exceptional care and attention to detail. The staff, in general, are very friendly, professional, and consistently welcoming, which greatly enhances the overall guest experience.||Finally, the sun loungers require urgent attention. The toppers are clearly worn and outdated, offering little to no cushioning and diminishing comfort in what should be a relaxing area.||We had a great time - thank you to the entire team!!!

Our stay was just Wonderful to lux Maldives Resort it was so amazing. house reef. clean. and beaches white sand an surrounding was so very beautiful blu water. ||Each and every staff members are so very nice and friendly.!!! ||Food and drink was fantastic and service was very attentive. ||Special thanks to Mixe staff for ther service,! We booked LUX for our honeymoon and it exceeded expectations in so many ways… ||We were greeted by someone from LUX as soon as we came through arrivals and were escorted through to the sea plane terminal and to our gate - we were exceptionally lucky and managed to have a 15 minute wait before we boarded the sea plane. ||As soon as the plane landed we were welcome on the jetty by numerous staff members and Adheeb, who was going to look after us during our stay. The check in was seamless which was welcomed after the long flight from London. ||Our romantic pool villa was incredible! The room was well cleaned and maintained with exceptional views and we enjoyed using the pool and outdoor decking on a daily basis. We thoroughly enjoyed the different towel animals and art created throughout our stay! ||The food across the resort is fantastic - with multiple restaurants it’s great for guests, like ourselves, staying for 10 nights as it didn’t get repetitive and there was always something new to try. My husband is celiac and we couldn’t believe the breadth of choice he had, and how the chefs went above and beyond to make him his meal of choice for each meal of the day. A huge thank you to Pong and Esther from East Market as well as Khan at Veli and the Head Chef at Senses.||The drinks offering is great as well and there’s a vast offering on the all inclusive package with premium wines both by the glass and bottle - this was welcomed as sometimes all inclusive packages can be hit and miss… the cocktails as well were all exceptional at each F&B outlet. ||Our favourite evening spot before dinner was East Market and throughly enjoyed listening to the live music each evening. A special mention to Ravi and Sanjith who looked after us each evening and were so friendly, always going above and beyond for us. ||A huge thank you also to Shawkut, Arof, Anil, Didar, Rimaah, Delawar, Vijay & Jomon. ||We are so grateful to all the staff members for making our honeymoon so memorable and will, without a doubt, be back when we next can.

First time at Lux and we had an amazing experience, service was truly exceptional from the guest experiences team, cleaning, and everyone at the restaurants. Everyone was friendly and seemed very happy to work here which contributed so much to the welcoming atmosphere of the island. Shoutout to Mulham, Anfal, Pong. Shafeeu and many many others that went above and beyond. We felt very taken care of from the moment we touched down in Male from luggages, transfers, daily itinerary, so on. Food was exceptional and service was amazing. All the restaurants had ahthentic food, especially the chinese, south asian, and thai cuisines. Drinks were amazing as well. We were here for a week and had a comfortable variety. Shoutout to senses and the south asian live station at breakfast. Whole Island is spotless, clean, and always smells amazing. Waters are clear and we saw many sharks and sting rays by the shore. There are too many positive points throughout the whole experience to mention it all, but in general, could not recommend it enough!! Team was very attentive and welcoming we felt carefree throughout our stay. :)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Worth Selling a Kidney For… Almost!” My wife has already volunteered to sell one of my kidneys so we can come back for her next big birthday — that probably tells you everything you need to know about how much we loved LUX South Ari Atoll*! From start to finish, the experience was incredible. A special shoutout to Rafith, who came to the rescue when we faced what looked like an 8-hour wait at Malé airport on our return. Even though the situation wasn’t really the resort’s fault, he managed to arrange a later checkout and gave us a discount to use the lovely LUX Lounge* (which you also enjoy on arrival). That level of care really stood out. As for the resort itself — well, it’s easy to see why people rave about this place. The service is genuinely fantastic, and it’s one of the few destinations where your photos actually look like the postcards. We swam with turtles, manta rays, whale sharks, and reef sharks — simply unforgettable. The food was fabulous, the beaches pristine, and the water that unreal shade of turquoise you always dream about. In short: great trip, great service, and a truly stunning location. We’ll be back (once I’ve recovered from the kidney negotiations)
