LUX South Ari Atoll

Gorgeous resort. We stayed at another very nice resort in the Maldives 1 year prior, but Lux is spectacular. I chose Lux for scuba diving (wanted to see whale sharks and mantas -- which I did!), but also because of the dining (AI package) and gorgeous overwater villas. ||The staff at this resort are amazing. Excellent service. Every single member of the dive team is incredible, and we loved our room steward, Anfal, who was incredibly attentive. While my daughter, who has celiac disease, remained at home, I was very impressed by all the gluten-free foods available as well as the clear attention to detail with regard to allergies and medical conditions affecting dining. I would not hesitate to bring my celiac child here, as a medical professional.||I would note that our overwater villa was quite a long walk from the main part of the resort. We rented bikes, which initially had me nervous (especially when passing others on the pier), but ended up being an excellent choice. This further out location did lead to excellent privacy.||This is a very family-heavy resort, for couples to be aware of. We did not travel with our kids and still had a lovely time. Highly recommend the live music at East Market for the adult crowd, the entertainers are very talented and we enjoyed this greatly.

Simply outstanding. We have stayed at Lux previously in another resort and it was fantastic so thought let’s try Maldives Lux Resort. On arrival, what a touch, cold wet towels to wash the tiring travels away, greeted with kind, smiling staff who were always happy to help from the minute we arrived at the jetty. The scenery is breathtaking, you feel you are in a different world with the hot air around you. Turquoise Waters and white sandy beaches that are just picture perfect. All the staff were fantastic, special mentions to Sameeh,Eman Ali, Pulkit, Nishad and Ahmed for their care and attention at every point of service, Ahmed’s frequent surprise origami out of towels were a delight. |The food was out of this world, first class cuisine at the variety of eateries on the island, breakfast was also great, cooked fresh omelettes, eggs any way you like, fresh fruit, drinks, health foods galore. If you want to be pampered and enjoy yourself, relax, unwind, dine, do water based activities, then this is the only place to come, it’s outstanding, your camera will thank you, so will your head and your heart. This was Lux no2 for us! Thank you guys

Just returned from our 9th stay. Each one gets better. We have made soo many friends and we are all repeaters. 25 of us this year. |The team can not do enough for you. |Nice to see khan back with his amazing team at veil. |We missed zahir but still saw him at lagoon. |Pong at east. |Alluadun at east. |All the staff are amazing and soo welcoming. |Daminda you are a credit to the island|Rachel was such a great host once again. |It’s not easy navigating big groups but bar rouge did it with east. |All the restaurants are top notch. |Can’t wait for feb 26.

The resort is beautiful, everything is immaculately clean, maintained and yet somehow in tune with the surroundings. Staff are friendly, genuine and kind. We travelled with a family member with specific dietary needs and couldn’t have found it easier. ||Like so many of the repeat guests we encountered, we had personalised and exemplary service from so many of the wonderful staff - from Kayla as our personal contact throughout our break to Pong, Esther, Delwar and Ezekiel in East market and Mawtyn who serviced our room - thank you. 🙏🏻 ||While we had some mixed weather towards the end of our stay, we had a truly memorable visit - thank you 🙏🏻

The Lux hotel, Maldives, is absolutely amazing. The island is beautiful and the hotel service, food and overall holiday experience is first class.||We would like to thank Sameeh, our butler, for taking such grate care of us during our stay and Mark, marine biologist, for helping us to get out to see the Mantas. We unfortunately had a few days of poor weather and for very understandable safety reasons had boat trips cancelled. The hotels team worked really hard to rearrange our trips during the last couple of days of our stay. Thank you.||All of the accommodation looked lovely, and the resort has a very relaxed atmosphere. We really enjoyed the evenings on the pier watching the sharks and rays.

We have just returned from another wonderful 2 weeks on Lux. This time for 2 special celebrations, we cannot say enough good things about this wonderful island. It is beautiful, the food is fabulous, but what makes Lux so outstanding is every member of the incredible staff, we could list so many but special thanks to Ahmed who looked after our Romantic Pool Villa and designed so many stunning bed decorations, Miss Rimaah, Zahir, Ruaun and everyone in Mixe, Maeesha and all at Allegria who made my birthday so very memorable, Mr Dimanda, all the Lagoon bar & coffee shop guys, Ria who dealt with our reservations, not forgetting ‘fist bump’ Jaishan, we could go on forever naming everyone!|Our seaplane was delayed, but we need not have worried, our luggage was taken straight from the plane and we were lead to a BMW limo and driven round to the international terminal and met by our Lux representative (so sorry we have forgotten your name) who negotiated the queues for us, this is just an example of the exemplary service from all at Lux. If you are reading this review to decide if Lux is for you, do it you won’t regret one minute.

Our first visit to the Maldives and we definitely chose the right resort!|Stunning location with fantastic food. Service was great and the staff are all super friendly and helpful.|The island is beautiful with picture perfect beaches.|We stayed in one of the water villas which we loved and found very peaceful. |We had a fantastic holiday and hope to return soon.|Thanks you Lux!!

Good hotel, little overrated , average food , great service! Best management! Special thx. to Elena , best concierge ever in my experience at Maldives, she make our stay unforgettable! Greetings to all the staff! Kahn is the bed waiter at the hotel, kind and very professional! The bad side is the atoll there is no underwater life, and I'm disappointed of that. The villas is small and far away from expectation! Talking about the villas another great employee named Khalid, perfect!
