LUX South Ari Atoll

From the moment we landed in Malé, the entire experience was seamless and heartfelt. Ali, who received us at the airport, made a strong first impression—helping with luggage, arranging our transfer to the LUX Lounge*, and greeting us with such warmth. That set the tone for what would become a truly special trip.||The seaplane was on time, and we were welcomed at the resort with genuine hospitality. The Sense and Beach Rouge restaurants stood out. Every manager and chef took the time to personally connect with us, often customizing meals without us needing to ask. Zobair and the Beach Rouge team, including the lady host and their food and beverage manager and their dedicated sous chefs, were exceptional.||Jay and Shoukat on the shuttle made every ride a joy—so lively and entertaining. Nesham at reception was amazing with the kids, even surprising them with thoughtful gifts upon completing their LUX Book*. The resort’s library was well curated and inviting, perfect for families.||We really appreciated the beautiful amenities: beach bags, slippers, umbrellas, bicycles—all provided with care and style. The covered shuttle was a thoughtful touch that made moving around the resort comfortable and easy.||The Kids Club was another highlight. It was open, well-maintained, and full of potential. I do wish there had been more structured activities communicated to us, but even so, the experience there was truly enjoyable and memorable for our children.||At the end of our stay, our flight was delayed, but the resort handled it gracefully. They offered us use of the lounge, assisted with our luggage, and stayed with us all the way to the airport. Ali was once again present, making sure our departure was just as smooth as our arrival.||If there’s one small area of improvement, it would be the villa bathroom cleanliness and the suggestion to consider a hose/bidet in the toilet. Otherwise, everything—from the food to the service—was beyond expectations.||Thank you to every single team member at LUX* for making our family trip unforgettable. We came to Lux for my sisters 30th birthday and it’s sad to say that we had a very bad experience. The hospitality was very poor and the guest services too. We landed at 7 am in the morning which the staff had been informed prior but our sea plane was booked for 1030 am even though there were earlier departures, on landing we informed our guest service person to book us on all activities that involved snorkeling and we had even emailed them regarding that a week prior, while some activities got cancelled cause of the weather a lot of others we were told were already fully booked even before they letting us know about it. The manager and the team could barely help us with anything besides saying we’ve already mentioned you can’t be on it. |We had also informed them regarding my sisters 30th but nothing was done for her on arrival.We were asked to go to the “celebration desk” which was either empty or super busy to even tell them to give us a cake for her bday, till we actually took this up and they later did arrange. ||I mentioned on arrival that I’m allergic to potatoes despite that on the second last day something was served to me which had potatoes and I got a proper hive attack and they had to summon a doctor to give me medicines and take down a report. ||Again the doctor was helpful but why must one have to go through this. ||Must say The staff at the restaurant and the spa were good, options overall in the resort were also very good. ||The all inclusive package includes the most basic alcohol like Smirnoff and absolute. ||Before coming we again kept emailing them and called them to let us know the complete beverages and food menu that comes in the inclusive deal since I was allergic and vegetarian but no one replied to that part and we come here and realize that it’s that basic. ||One comes to Maldives for great hospitality, water sports, beaches and to celebrate special occasions. ||Anything you call to request the front desk or the guest manager also, the only reply is we are sorry we can’t arrange for it. ||I booked a cycle one day and the cycle was given sans the code which they said you’ll get on what’s app but didn’t get that either.||Either the staff was very busy taking care of others or just not interested, whichever it is, we we’re definitely expecting more from our experience and surprisingly extremely disappointed with the entire experience of being treated unfairly.

This is absolutely the best resort in Maldives. The people make all the difference - friendly, genuine and attentive. The experience and memories created are priceless, from island treasure hunt, immaculate coffee and movie nights. The food at all the restaurants are exquisite and delicious. It is amazing how many chefs this resort has. The beauty of the nature is stunning - from sunsets to blue lagoons and even the dancing sea grass. Highly recommended for families and couples.

Highlights: The staff was extraordinary! Beyond welcoming. Each staff member made an effort to know our names..That touch makes a big difference.Food at every restaurant was amazing. All inclusive is definitely worth the money.Over water villa was great. Would definitely recommend if your first trip; however, they are a bit of a hike but with a convenient shuttle service. "Lowlights": Weather was not great and most excursions got cancelled. Not the resort's fault. Just a reality.

The best holiday we’ve ever had! ||Lux South Ari Atoll is one of the most perfect places you will visit. Incredible food, the most beautiful setting and some of the friendliest and most hard working staff you will find. Naseer, Rimaah, Shaukat, Shaiff and Bek are just a few of the many staff members who made our stay unforgettable! Thank you. ||We spent our days snorkelling with whale sharks, rays, and turtles, or relaxing by our pool water villa spotting dolphins as they swam by. ||The island is large enough to offer a true sense of privacy and peacefulness - and gives you so many wonderful spots to relax, eat and have fun! ||We love it so much we might visit for a third time next year! ||Thank you Lux South Ari Atoll!

We have just returned from a 7 night all inclusive stay at LUX South Ari Atoll, and it truly was the best family holiday we've ever experienced. So much so, we’re already planning our next visit!||From the moment we arrived at Malé Airport, the service from the hotel was flawless. Every detail of our transfer and arrival was taken care of with such professionalism and warmth.||LUX South Ari Atoll offers 8 restaurants and 5 bars, leaving us absolutely spoilt for choice. The food throughout our stay was consistently outstanding, with fantastic variety and exceptional quality. The cocktails were also top-notch — expertly crafted and delicious every time.||Our room was clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. A huge thank you to Atul from housekeeping, who was so attentive throughout our stay, always ensuring we had everything we needed and keeping our villa immaculate.||What made our stay truly memorable were the people. Special thanks to:|Chefs Subbuhni and Senthil, who went above and beyond to create delicious and personalised dishes for us — their kindness and passion really stood out.|Jino, the award-winning mixologist, who charmed us with two of his signature cocktail creations — a highlight of our evenings!|Gatsby, our hotel guide, for his warm and helpful guidance throughout the resort.|Shawkat, Jaisham, Bek and other friendly buggy drivers, who always greeted us with a smile and made getting around the island a pleasure.|Rauan, the maître d', whose warmth and hospitality added a special touch to our dining experiences.|The combination of world-class hospitality, stunning surroundings, delicious food, and genuinely kind people made this an unforgettable experience for our family. I stayed Lux hotel with total pax 3 families. Food and drinks are very high quality. Chef Pong, Thai chef took care of us very well. He did some special menus as our requirements. Anfal, a cleaner who clean our villas is superb. He is polite and very helpful. All staffs are excellent. They can remember everything we ate and drank. Hotel is beautiful. I really recommend Lux hotel.

A genuinely incredible island. Beautifully and meticulously maintained. Lux manages to combine both a sense of privacy and intimacy, whilst also offering a wide variety of things to do: fantastic restaurants, activities, spa, water sports. But most impressive of all are the staff; their sense of warmth and happiness and by consequence the superb service that comes with it.
