LUX South Ari Atoll

We went to Lux* for our honeymoon and what a treat that was! The hotel and island are absolutely stunning and very well maintained. The staff! The nicest people I have ever encountered in a hotel, they made our stay extra special. Big shout out to Gabrielle & Ahmed who looked after us everyday. The manager and his wife also made this trip one of a kind with various thoughtful gestures. The hotel was near to fully booked but we did not feel the crowds at all - be it at the different beaches or restaurants. There are a lot of activities to do and, while I was scared of getting a bit bored spending 10 days there, the time flew by! We also went scuba diving for the first time and that was just wonderful! The marine life but also the service we received was outstanding. We met a lot of people who have come back to this place several times and we absolutely understand why! For our next trip to the Maldives, we will definitely come back!

We have visited LUX* South Ari Atoll eight times now, which is itself a testament to the esteem in which we hold it. The island location is beautiful - tranquil, with pristine white sand beaches and turquoise waters. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, but also offer seclusion; we always opt for beach villas, where being able to walk off the rear veranda and straight into the sea in under twenty seconds is sublime. LUX* has a large range of restaurants and bars; the food, cocktails, wine and other drinks are all outstanding. Across the board, the service is attentive, thorough and friendly. Special shout-outs to: - Sangeeth: has gone out of his way to look after us exceptionally well on every visit. - Chef Subbunhi: always warm and welcoming, has made us bespoke, off-menu meals of some of the finest Indian food we have had. - Ahusan: provided excellent housekeeping, making lots of effort to ensure occasions such as birthdays were extra special. - Rachael: great job managing our bookings/activities and keeping us up-to-date. - Shifaz and Dharminder: we have known both for many years; they are always extremely welcoming and helpful. - Chef Pong: very friendly and warm and makes delicious off-menu Thai food for us. There are many more names we could list; for now, we'll highlight the excellent service from Roshika, Jobair, Vijay, Huzam, Khan, Jino, Masud, Pintu and Chef Senthil. We cannot wait to return.

we have had an amazing stay at lux south ari atoll ! My wife & I stayed 4 nights. We had a water bungalow with pool. The island is very pretty (not too small) with a fantastic landscape. The staff is very nice all of them ! smilling always to make you feel special.|Good food. I strongly advise to take all inclusive. The beaches / Sand bank are amazing.. we loved it and will hopefully go back !! Bravo all the team..!!

We had a wonderful stay with family at Lux for 4 days! The rooms were comfortable, the resort was beautiful and the food was delicious! But most importantly, the staff and the hospitality was unparalleled. Want to give a huge shout out to Pradeep, Mano and Vijay who went above and beyond to understand our needs, recommend places and food options, and ensuring we were well taken care of throughout our stay. Additionally, Rashwaan ensured our rooms were serviced routinely and well, leaving a crafty surprise for my kids that brought a smile to their faces every time we entered the room. We look forward to coming back again.

First time at Lux and we had an amazing experience, service was truly exceptional from the guest experiences team, cleaning, and everyone at the restaurants. Everyone was friendly and seemed very happy to work here which contributed so much to the welcoming atmosphere of the island. Shoutout to Mulham, Anfal, Pong. Shafeeu and many many others that went above and beyond. We felt very taken care of from the moment we touched down in Male from luggages, transfers, daily itinerary, so on. Food was exceptional and service was amazing. All the restaurants had ahthentic food, especially the chinese, south asian, and thai cuisines. Drinks were amazing as well. We were here for a week and had a comfortable variety. Shoutout to senses and the south asian live station at breakfast. Whole Island is spotless, clean, and always smells amazing. Waters are clear and we saw many sharks and sting rays by the shore. There are too many positive points throughout the whole experience to mention it all, but in general, could not recommend it enough!! Team was very attentive and welcoming we felt carefree throughout our stay. :)

Beautiful island….we chose all inclusive which was fab as not only was the east market buffet amazing there were plenty of other restaurant options to dine at also. With special lunches also laid on. The food was exceptional. The staff were incredible a special mention to Sangith, Ravi, khan and also the transport guys always chatty and fun. |We stayed in a water villa which was spacious and gorgeous. When we return we would like to try the beach villas. |We loved the size of the island.|Hubby swam with the whale shark and ticked that off his bucket list. |We cannot fault this island it was superb 😀

We had the pleasure of staying at Lux South for two weeks in December, in Villa 332.||From start to finish, everything was exceptional and of an incredibly high standard. The service, in particular, was outstanding. Every team member was warm, polite and genuinely helpful and you could really feel how much they care about their guests. They have a special way of making everyone feel valued and as though they are the most important guest on the island.||I could go on and on about the food excellence but our favourite restaurant was MIXE, we ate there most mornings for Breakfast and the efforts made for Christmas Eve Dinner were fantastic, the decor was amazing! ||The Christmas lights switch on at the cocktail party on the beach was a special moment, as was the seaplane flyover on Christmas Eve! ||The main reason for this review is to highlight and say a special thank you to the following individuals, who truly went above and beyond and made our stay extra special and unforgettable:||Jinah, thank you for taking such beautiful care of our villa. The towel animals, the flowers, treats and messages were so thoughtful. He was fantastic and what a great sense of humour. He looked after us amazingly well! Thank you Masud for all of the laughs, you are brilliant. ||If we were to suggest anything we feel that would improve the experience even more it would be to have an adults only pool area, the sun loungers at Senses could be more comfortable (many others have mentioned this too and we mentioned while we were there) and before heading back to Malé on the seaplane, providing a bottle of water on the jetty would be a nice touch before heading off.||If you find yourself still reading this, just book it. You won’t regret it

We had the trip of a lifetime at Lux South Ari Atol. Everything about our stay was a dream come true. Gatsby, our host, was so kind and welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was special. The housekeeping team were great, keeping our room spotless and leaving us cute notes and towels in the shape of animals. We loved the Senses restaurant for lunch and dinner, and we liked East Market best for breakfast - a special mention to Dasun, Rimah, Anusha and Chef Harsn for looking after us beautifully. We loved our speciality coffee lesson from Nur in the cafe, and we loved our buggy rides with all of the drivers, but Mofizul was so happy, kind and fun! We would love to come back soon!
