The venue is cozy and relaxing with seating outside, inside, and there is a bar area. Apart from regular tables there are cozy booths. Background music was not too overwhelming, which was nice. We could keep a low table conversation. Ordered a variety of foods for starters. Started with the oysters and mussels. Price per oyster was a little high but worth it. As for the mussels, they were amazing. Due to the variety of food that was ordered for the table, I'm just getting a general consensus from the table of the satisfaction and value for money. Salad was good and a decent portion. There was not a single complaint about the food! Food presentation was done with detail. The staff: The staff were very tentative and always checked on the table. Felt like we had 3 dedicated servers for our table at some stages. The table stayed clean. What was appreciated was that our cutlery was also replaced after our starters. Another observation is that tables are cleaned rapidly after customers leave, thus improving the overall presentation of the restaurant. Washrooms: The washrooms are clean and fresh. Due to the fact that it's not wheelchair friendly I can't give 5 star rating.

Google
The service a great! The waiter was very knowledgeable, patient, and courteous. The food is not worth the price. The steak was chewy, the squid was tasteless (a lot of batter), and the crispy duck didn't taste anything like duck. The only thing that was okay was the creme brulé.

I came in for a group event and had a good time. The service was excellent! We had a special food menu and I must say that I was satisfied by the end of the dessert. I told my friend who hosted, that I visited this place back in about 2010 for a snack with my wife and a child and we enjoyed our time, even though it was just for some fries and drinks.

Luxe Bistro in Ottawa’s ByWard Market is a hidden gem for anyone craving a refined yet welcoming dining experience. From the moment you walk in, you’re met with a warm, upscale ambiance that lives up to the name — the interior is chic, luxurious, and perfect for a classy night out or a special occasion. The steak frites here are absolutely top-tier — cooked to perfection, juicy, and flavorful, paired with crisp, golden fries that are hard to stop eating. Whether you’re a steak connoisseur or just in the mood for a hearty, satisfying meal, this dish hits the mark every time. What really elevates the experience, though, is the attentive and professional service. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and always one step ahead, making sure your evening goes off without a hitch. Whether you’re local or just visiting Ottawa, Luxe Bistro is a must-visit for steak lovers looking for quality food, excellent service, and a touch of elegance in the heart of the market.

Our server Luke was attentive and friendly. The food was prepared properly and had good flavours. Inside, seating was comfortable with a nice ambience. Bathrooms were clean. We didn't drive but noticed parking was sparse and cars got ticketed.

Google
What a delightful find! We went in because of the comfortable looking patio and easy accessibility ( I have mobility issues and use a scooter) ... and were totally wowed. We ordered the 'prix fixe' dinner and the food was top notch. Thank you to an exemplary chef! Every special request was honored with a smile by our very professional server, James,... who while making sure we had everything we needed, was neither intrusive nor standoffish! He made a wonderful dinner perfect. When we asked for special arrangements for our dessert, his only comment was, of course, that can be arranged. I would give this restaurant my highest recommendation and hope to return on our next visit to Ottawa! Thank you to the whole staff for a perfect vacation evening!

Google
Fantastic restaurant. Got into town for my wife's business trip and wanted to take my god son out for dinner as he's in res and the food isn't the greatest. Found Luxe bistro from Google search and read a bunch of reviews, saw the menu which has crispy duck leg and duck is one of my wife's fav food, so I made my reservation. This place did not disappoint. Compliments to the chef and the kitchen team. Food was fabulous. Our waiting staff was amazing too ensuring our needs were met. Spencer was our waiter but everyone else assisted throughout our dinning experience. Definitely will be back next time in Ottawa. Jan/Feb 2025 next anticipated business trip.

Google
Great dinner experience at Luxe. Friday night around 8, no issue getting two seats at the Bar. Ordered Striploin with Mashed Potatoes, French Onion Soup, Mussels and Beef Tartare. Steak was cooked a perfect Med-Rare and was very good. Average Mashed Potatoes. French Onion Soup was the highlight. Incredible flavor. Tons of Bread packed down in the bowl and lots of Onions and melty Cheese. Mussels were very good. Never had them in a Cream Sauce but the sauce had tons of flavor. Dish should have come with Bread to soak up the sauce. Beef Tartare was solid. Not the best I’ve had, but good. Could have used a tad more salt. The chips it came with were incredible though. Kind of delicate for dipping into the Beef, but we’re very good. Actually used them to soak up a lot of the Mussels Cream Sauce. Solid upscale dining experience. Being from out of town, probably would check out other upscale Restaurants before returning, but would recommend if visiting Ottawa.

Yelp
The Fried Calamari was great, with a crispy batter and calamari that practically melted in your mouth. The Waldorf Salad I had was also delicious. The lettuce bed was kept cold and crunchy, and the mix of salty blue cheese with sweet apple slices and grapes created a unique flavour. The celery added an extra crunch. The drinks were nice too, offering some good options to choose from. Service was great. The staff was patient and attentive, ensuring we had a pleasant dining experience. Food (quality, creativity, consistency) - 4.2/5 Drinks (quality, variety) - 4/5 Ambience (interior design, cleanliness) - 4/5 Service (courtesy, knowledge, timeliness) - 4/5 Value (quality vs. price) - 3.5/5 OVERALL - 3.9

Yelp
We had a fantastic exercise at this unplanned lunch. We just happened to be in the area when we checked It out. We came for lunch and had a lovely server and host. The plane was super clean and friendly. The menu was varied and there's vegetarian options. We started with a calamari starter and a goat cheese dish. The calamari was large pieces and tasted soooo good! Definitely get this if you like calamari. The goat cheese was goat cheese, but there was lots and I used It on all my food. Bow I ordered Sous vide chicken as I haven't had It before. But It was chicken. Well made. Great clean eating option. Great mushrooms on the side. Husband loved his burger. Food was great! Please try this place out if you haven't.

Yelp
What a great restaurant. First I must say the place is well designed. The patio is a good size. The service is awesome. We were all pleased with our service experience. The food is so good! We had the three course set price meals. We all had something different and all were pleased. My steak was outstanding. French onion soup was one of the best I've had and the dessert put out our dining experience over the top. We recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday for some brunch, we sat in the patio which was nice because the weather was nice. We ordered drinks to start, unfortunately the waitress spilled one of the drinks on the table all over my phone and shoes. Wasn't too happy about it, because it seemed like she didn't know how to properly hold the drink tray, maybe for next time it would be nice if she put the tray on the table before handling our drinks. Other then that the food was good, I've been here before for lunch and I've loved the lunch menu. It's a nice restaurant, the staff is nice and it's location is perfect right at the middle of the byward market, definitely a must try during summer time

Yelp
Service was great. French onion soup was beyond disappointing. Great happy hour drink prices. Very clean bathrooms.

Yelp
We came here for brunch and it did not disappoint! everything was so delicious, I loved the beef tartare with the chips. my boyfriend had the baked goat cheese with berries and he loved it! both were very filling and it was only our first course out of 3! for our entrees, we both had the mushroom toast and it was very flavorful and the side salad was refreshing, if a little dry, so i wish it had a vinaigrette of some sort. we were both pretty full from the first course, so we couldnt finish it all, but we loved it. for our dessert, we had the raspberry sorbet with fresh berries, and it was the perfect way to finish out the brunch! the sorbet was super refreshing and not that tart, which we loved and light enough that we didnt feel super stuffed after the other 2 courses. overall, $90CAD in total for a 3 course brunch per person plus a bottle of prosecco was a perfect deal! wish they had that in the US!

Yelp
It has always counted this as one of my go to's when visiting Ottawa. I think this was the first time I had ordered a steak off the menu, to be honest I was disappointed. I sent it back and the second one felt like I was settling. I ordered rare and had a bit of an discussion with the waiter about the difference between rare, medium and blue rare. I told him closer to blue and still got what was obviously medium. He did take the first one back but I wasn't willing to wait a second time. Flavour was good but over cooked. The rest of what we had was fine. Not sure about going back again.

Yelp
I came here for a birthday dinner with a friend and was extremely happy with the service and food. The evening started off with complimentary bread which was warm and the butter was very tasty. The mussels were absolutely delicious! I ordered the duck and my friend ordered the chicken. The duck was so flavorful and rendered down properly. We ordered a side of the mac and cheese which was okay, nothing too special. The mashed potatoes and mushrooms were also a hit between my party! I will definitely come back to check out more of the menu!

Serra B.

Yelp
We have been going to Luxe Bistro for years to celebrate our birthdays. When the original owners were running it, the food, atmosphere and service were consistently excellent. I was there last week for yet another birthday celebration. We were seated at a table that was close to a party of men who were absurdly raucous. Two other tables complained as well and asked to be moved and no one was accommodated. We literally could not hear each other talk much less hear the waiter. We were all refused. We waited two hours for our food which was cold and below average. When I asked the owner for at least some bread the owner said they were waiting for another table to open up to move us before bringing our food out. This was no reflection on our waiter who was attentive and apologetic. The owner brushed off our complaints which were phoned in the following day, saying we were making too much of the situation. If the owner doesn't care to keep his customers happy, I don't care to spend money at his establishment. My recommendation is save your money and eat elsewhere.

Yelp
I went here for Sunday brunch and sat on their patio the first weekend restaurants opened up post covid and had a lovely breakfast. Food: I ordered the classic eggs benedict ($17) and it was delicious! The portion size was fair for the price. The hollandaise sauce was yummy and creamy, but the ham is a bit thicker cut than I like, but still good. The potato hash was also decent. I do think its a bit misleading of the menu to say it came with a side of fresh fruit when I only got half a strawberry and a small slice of melon dew. My friend ordered the strawberry shortcake french toast ($16) and the portion was very generous! The french toast tasted exactly like strawberry shortcake. It was very sweet (too sweet for me personally) but still good. I recommend ordering a side of meat or something salty with this to balance the sweet with something salty. Drinks: They did not have ice coffee on the menu (which is surprising for a breakfast place?!) so they got me a makeshift ice coffee ($6) which was coffee in a glass of ice and a side of simple syrup to add to it. It was pretty good. I also tried the Tepaché drink ($15) and it was good- very pineapple-ey, but a little overpriced in my opinion. Service and ambiance: The staff was friendly and accommodating since they made a makeshift ice coffee. But the service was pretty slow, took a while (maybe 20 minutes) for the waiter to take our order. To be fair it was the first weekend patios were open and i think the waitress was new. The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice, almost elegant, and cute. The patio was very nice, was a half booth style and had a roof so it was not too hot out in the sun. Overall, I would go again and try their other types of eggs benedict. This is a perfect place to go for brunch with friends and enjoy drinks.

Yelp
They were very busy. Under that circumstance, the manager and bartender did an outstanding job IMHO. I really enjoyed both the meal and the service. The Duck leg was right up there. The asparagus was perfection. I thought, for the price point, I could not have eaten better. I just don't give out 5 stars. It's a credibility thing. This meal and the service tempted me...
google avatar

Vincent S.

Yelp
The duck leg is amazing and as I am writing this, it makes me want the item. It was really well cooked, with a crispy exterior. There is limited patio or outdoor seating if that is important to you. It is also a nice location if there is anything happening in terms of drag performances at the Look out close by if you want to enjoy some nice food, while also getting a show

Stef M.

Yelp
So I'm not impressed with the fake meat cuts. And my steak was previously frozen. It was dry. Not a strip loin like what I ordered. I hate it when they con you and smother streak with crap to trick you. The filet was not a filet. I'm never going to eat there again. I'm very offended by the food. Not worth the price

Yelp
spectacular experience with Tom and Olivia this evening! they were amazing from start to finish. the drinks were wonderful (drank my Tickle Me Pink too fast to take a picture but it was delicious - Tom recommended it and it rocked!) food was out of this world. they do steak like no one else, cooked to perfection, tender, flavourful, all around fantastic. the tartare..... y'all........ delish. the fries with the steak frites are so delightful, little shoestring fries with truffle oil and lots of parm we will absolutely be returning!

Yelp
Definitely still one of my favourites in Ottawa. I have never once been disappointed by the food, and that Australian Wagyu is just as good as the first time I had it! Yummy in my tummy!!!

Yelp
the caesar salad was ok.... But nothing special. Blackened salmon was served cold. Roast potatoes were undercooked. Service was fine... would not go back

Yelp
The "F" in fine dining is for fantastic. Luxe seems to be a mix of steak and seafood, with some Italian I seem to recall. The dishes were great. The lobster pasta (or mac) was delightful, full fresh seafood. The steaks were great. They were cooked perfectly to order. The staff was awesome. Luxe sets on the corner with open air seating, great for lunch and dinner. I think they may ne open for breakfast as well. Stop in and have a drink and a superb meal. Bon Apetite.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday dinner and wanted to make an evening out of it at this restaurant but we ended the evening just over and hour in. It was a hot summers day, and the restaurant was just boiling hot. The seating is a tad tight, especially when you are seated next to a large party. We were looking for a romantic evening, and really thought this place would deliver, even requesting to be seated in a booth, but again, being seated next to a large party, it was quiet uncomfortable. The restaurant was not packed on a Friday evening, it really did feel like our waiter was not very attentive and lost interest within the first 20 min of our dinning experience. I ordered the lobster poutine ($18.00), which I heard was amazing. I only ate half. It was too rich. The waiter never asked if I enjoyed it, and just took the dish away. My hubby ordered the salmon ($30.00), which was presented nicely, and he said he enjoyed. He also had the oysters to start and was not blown away. I feel like this place would be great to stop by for a glass of wine, and gives off a 1940's cigar bar type of feel, as the restaurant is covered with dark wood and leather from top to bottom. I really did have high hopes when I visited this restaurant as it has been on my list for a while, but I would not go back.

Yelp
Came to this restaurant after having read the reviews and seeing their awesome menu. The location is great, as it's in the downtown core and easy to find. The inside of the restaurant is nicely decorated and romantically dim. We were seated by the kitchen, which actually wasn't a bother considering the amount of plates coming out. We ordered drinks and began scouring the menu. I couldn't decide between a filet mignon or getting steak frites, but I ended up with steak frites and the bf got the surf and turf. For a starter though, we ordered the crispy squid. The squid was exquisite. It was breaded lightly, the pieces were generous and the sauce was delicious. It was expensive (18$), but definitely worth it. Now for the mains.. So, I was very happy with my main. The steak was cooked very well with a nice glaze on it, as well as the flavoured butter on top and the fries were crispy and thin. Great! However, the surf and turf was a bit disappointing. I know it said petit filet mignon, but we were actually quite surprised when we saw how petit they meant. The dish just looked not put very well together unfortunately. As you'll see in the picture, the shrimp was almost as big as the filet mignon. The side of broccoli was as expected...broccoli. I personally liked the lobster Mac and cheese, but my SO found it too heavy. The steak was somewhat under-seasoned and I definitely preferred the taste of my steak. I struggled a bit with the star rating of this place because of the second main dish, but I loved the squid and my steak was awesome. The service was good and so was the ambiance. So, I'm comfortably giving a 4 stars; however I would revisit that main to be honest. Overall, GET THE SQUID!

Schelling Y.

Yelp
Went to this place a while back, but haven't had a chance to put in a review. The décor is quite fancy. Overall, very impressive....service wasn't that good. it was a little bit on the slow side. I would have assumed that it was busy, but it wasn't, so it was kind of a let down. Went for Sunday brunch. Heard a lot about it so brought the kids. it wasn't that good, and the kids didn't really like their food. Don't remember what we had, but kids didn't like it. overall, we have gone back to Ottawa, but not to this restaurant
google avatar

Yelp
Luxe Bistro is amazing. The ambiance is very chic and very romantic for a date. We started off with the lobster poutine and Korean beef ribs which was amazing. Best appetizers I've ever had. My boyfriend had a filet mignon and one of his side the lobster mac and cheese was the best I've ever had and I don't even like mac and cheese. I had the seared scallops which was amazing! Then Crete Brûlée to end our meal to share. So good! I highly recommend this place!! It's a hidden gem in the Byward Market!
google avatar

Jazz L.

Yelp
Luxe bistro is a great brunch option in Ottawa. It is located right in the middle of the Byward Market, and has lots of classic options. I almost always get the Croque Madame, and my boyfriend almost always gets an Eggs Benny (but he switches up which one).
google avatar

Sarah F.

Yelp
Came here for Sunday brunch. Service was excellent but the kitchen was very, very slow. I waited about half an hour for my food to arrive and it was cold. Eggs Benedict was undercooked (not based on personal preference - poached eggs shouldn't have large amounts of clear, uncooked egg white), tomato wasn't ripe, nor was the pineapple. Hostess and server were both exceptional but unfortunately they can only do so much to make up for a slow, clumsy kitchen.
google avatar

PJ C.

Yelp
The Lobster poutine is as awesome as advertised - excellent. The sauce was great and the pieces of lobster were big and plentiful. You must order this. It is not your average poutine. Oh yeah our main course items were good too. The burger was flavorful and done medium rare with bacon. But with that poutine app it was hard to finish the burger. We also tried the lobster burger. Perhaps too much lobster for one meal. Good but the poutine was better. Our server was friendly and efficient though we had a hard time finding him at the end. The small outdoor space was nice though they don't take reservations fir those tables. We'd return!

Alexa B.

Yelp
Luxe doesn't lack professionalism or outstanding quality. If you love a good cocktail the old fashions here are top-notch as well as the appetizers my guest and I had. The shrimp was delicious as well as the charcuterie with excellent presentation. I can't wait until my next time at this beautiful please. Highly recommended.
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
This fun place is in the heart of downtown Ottawa, and sports a amazing fare. One word of caution - if you order the Lobster Poutine you may need rehab - it's addictive! This wonderful version of the uniquely Canadian dish was served with the usuals cheese curds, fries, butter and for that extra oh ya - lobster! I am a fan! The service was top notch - not pushy, but always attentive and mostly in the background. I had the stroganoff, while it was good, wasn't my fav. However Luxe gets five stars and next I return to Ottawa (hopefully in warmer months) I will be back!
google avatar

Vanessa H.

Yelp
One of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Had it with side of asparagus which was nicely done al dente. Friend also had steak and is still raving about how great it was. Would highly recommend for the steak (and red wine) if nothing else.
google avatar

Alex D.

Yelp
Came with a group of 7. We each ordered some drinks and steak. Service was incredibly slow. Took over an hour and a half between ordering and the food coming on a day that was not busy. The steaks themselves were not well cooked. The medium stakes came out very well done, and the medium rare were definitely more than medium. 3 of us all said it was the worst steak we ever had. When the steaks finally came, only 6 of the 7 of us got our food. The last one wasn't cooked because they placed it in the wrong part of the oven, and so was still raw. Although they comp'ed us on the one steak, and eventually brought it out, it was also very poorly made. Some of us couldn't finish the food because it was so bad.

K R.

Yelp
Best dinner I've EVER had. Perfect steak, potatoes, and sweet potato gratin. Even the side vegetables and bread were perfect. Delicious wine. I live in Toronto but will be making the trip back to Ottawa soon!
google avatar

Yelp
We came here for Sunday brunch with a large group of 15. Unlike most brunch restaurants where you cannot make reservations, we were able to call ahead the night before to reserve for our party of 15. Luxe Bistro had amazing service, ambience and awesome eggs benny that you can have in a variety of ways. Thank you to the Luxe Bistro server who offered me a complimentary cocktail for my birthday! Much appreciated! Will definitely come back next time I'm in Ottawa.

Yelp
I've been to this location twice in the past 2 months. Once during a night out with my girlfriend, and once for a business lunch with a client. Luxe satisfied both times. Their service was on the ball and courteous, and the food was extremely satisfying. I also love the decor and the outside seating. It's simply a fun place to go right in the heart of Ottawa. I will be returning!

Yelp
Visiting Ottawa this past weekend with a group of 8 friends, we set out in search of a place for lunch. We wandered up Sparks Street and into the market. No seating to be found. We came across Luxe, and am I glad we did! Our server, Owen, was great - he was friendly and polite, and just the right amount of attentive. The food was amazing. Although the menu was only one page, they had a wide range of items, and enough selection to suit everyone's taste in our group. I had a roast chicken sandwich, which was delicious - you could really taste the brie! I'm not sure why anyone would think this place pretentious. It was pretty classy, with really nice ambiance and beautifully presented food - so it was a pleasant surprise to notice the servers were wearing jeans behind their aprons. It said to me that it's a fancy place that doesn't take itself too seriously. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Looking for great steaks in Ottawa? This is the place. We had reservations for a busy Friday night and were greeted and seated promptly. The atmosphere inside is lively and has a classy vibe that you wouldn't expect from the building's facade. We started by sharing a Caesar salad which had a creamier dressing than usual, but well-presented in individual soup cups, a bit unusual. We were torn between many great entree descriptions on the menu, but all the steak recommendations prevailed, my wife choosing a rib steak and me the strip. We shared bites of each, and the were both uniquely tasty. We also shared two sides, seasoned mashed potatoes and a mushroom medley, both complimenting the steaks well. We shared a vertical cheesecake as recommended by our server which had a thick graham cracker crust on the bottom, followed by the cheesecake, and then a layer of lemon on top. Outstanding! Only disappointment was that their special, a 48 hour brined prime rib was sold out. But that's a reason to go back on our next Ottawa visit.
google avatar

Jeff S.

Yelp
Lobster poutine was nothing special, so many other options worth trying, like the calamari. Coworker commented his ribeye steak was also just OK. The scallops and sweet potato risotto was excellent. Have a few local beers of draft including a couple from Beyond the Pale.
google avatar

Charles S.

Yelp
So I'm back in Ottawa for a conference, and 14 of us go to Luxe for dinner. 11 guys and 3 women (who were very good sports). I suggested Luxe since I had enjoyed it so much last May, and I figured that steak (plus some seafood) would appeal to the greatest number of people. My mistake. I can't speak for the others, but this time the NY strip was overcooked, had a thick strip of gristle, and arrived lukewarm. At By Ward Market prices? Forget it. On the upside, the atmosphere was pleasant and football was on the TV in the bar. The waiter was fine with 14 separate checks. Have any other non-Canadians noticed that when Canadian Yelpers like a restaurant, they often write that it "did not disappoint"? I'm going to write this in English as clear as a lake in upper Ontario : Luxe disappointed.
google avatar

Jerry Y.

Yelp
The lobster poutine is, in fact, amazing. I know others have said it, but it is. At $20 for an appy it is not cheap, but it is easily meal-sized for any average human. Do yourself a solid, share it with a friend and order another entree or appy. The duck confit burger is delicious too. It is on the salty side, it's duck after all, with a home-made beef patty to boot. Service was professional & attentive. Great casual place, neither cheap nor spendy but nice comfort food in a cozy environment.
google avatar

Gordon K.

Yelp
Getting in to Ottawa on a Friday late afternoon, we had some serious issues trying to find a place for food that was open and not prepping for the dinner service. I had the burger and fries for ~$19 bucks. For a burger, it was pretty juicy and the fries were also adequate. I would've liked more, but that would be the glutton in me talking. I was lukewarm to the choice of ordering a lobster poutine. Service was excellent and the waitress was on top of letting us know where our food was at. I'd like to have tried their steak before I left, but time was short. Service: 4.5/5 Food: 4/5 Price Point: 3.5/5 Overall: 4/5

Yelp
Yelpers don't lie, the lobster poutine was incredible! Also, the lobster and chicken burgers were both great. Staff was very friendly and attentive with lots of great menu suggestions. The wine here is a good deal, they sell it not only by the glass/bottle but also by the half liter. Even though it was the least expensive one of the red wines, the Montepulciano was quite tasty - complex yet light enough to pair well with the chicken. I know there are lots of restaurants in this area, many of which seem like tourist traps. But this one is the real deal! Great food, great value and great service.

Yelp
Delicious eggs Benedict with the best hash browns I've ever had. Service is hit and miss. Food is pricey but if you order the right things it's worth the money.

Yelp
Luxe Bistro was the last restaurant I tried during my one week business trip in Ottawa. We walked past this restaurant the previous day and my colleague wanted to try it, so we decided to come here the following day. Locating right at the heart of ByWard Market, it was pretty lively and busy during a weeknight. I could only imagine how busy the street would be during the day and on weekends. Environment was beautiful and the patio was nicely decorated, although the view is facing the parking lot and we did get disturbed by a person asking for change during my dining experience. If you want a peaceful dinner, I would recommend staying away from the patio. Food was decent, I ordered the 14 oz Boneless Rib at medium rare and the portion was good, although the steak was a little overcooked than what I requested, but it was still very juicy and seasoned well. As every steak comes with a side, I ordered the Gnocchi (potato) poutine as a side and the Gnocchi was delicious!! But it was quite filling so I didn't finish it. The price is reasonable and I will give this restaurant a solid 4, given the environment, the service and the decent food they serve!
google avatar

Olivia C.

Yelp
Everything that we tried was absolutely incredible. Wish I lived in Ottawa so I could be a regular. Until next time Luxe Bistro

Yelp
Great service from the moment we entered the restaurant to the minute we left. Fun atmosphere with friendly staff. The food was exceptional and worth every dime. We will definitely be going back for more!

Yelp
While the prices aren't cheap, Luxe's burgers are divine. Messy, juicy meats mixed with gooey cheese and even duck confit make these burgers a tastebud delight. The beef is crispy without being overcooked and the bun is as soft as fresh snow. If you can, I recommend having the tomato soup as a side as it was as much a star of our meal as the burgers were.

Yelp
Lacklustre. Ordered the lobster poutine, chicken sandwich and Caesar salad for lunch. I was overall disappointed with my meal at Luxe. I stopped in for lunch to a fairly empty restaurant. The wait staff was friendly, quick to find me a table of my choosing and take my order. The lobster poutine came after about 15 minutes, which is good but the chicken sandwich took them 38 minutes to bring out! I don't think this is really acceptable as it was during a lunch hour and it's only a chicken sandwich with a Caesar salad - the restaurant was almost empty. The lobster poutine was ok. I would definitely say do not order the Caesar salad it was really mediocre. The chicken sandwich wasn't good because the coleslaw was way too creamy and the mayo flavour was completely overwhelming of any other flavour. I would have asked for them to fix it but I had already waited so long at that point that I didn't have the time. I would not suggest going here.

Yelp
Lobster poutine...so delicious...everything was so perfect about it...the sauce was amazing...the fries crispy and the lobster fresh...also had the general Tao chicken burger...delicious. loved the poutine so much that next time I'll just get the appetizer lobster poutine and just eat that as its a huge portion. Great service and super friendly staff....wonderful experience...highly recommended

Yelp
Good restaurant!! We were there for brunch. We had the breakfast poutine, and the prime rib sandwich! The poutine was good but ordinary.. Was missing a little something (mostly potatoe hash on a plate). The prim rib sandwich was really good, the meat was tender and juicy, served with fresh ingedients!! Their fries with a little side of aromatic mayo were good too!!!

Yelp
Great location, right within the market area, and fantastic menu. Loved the décor and atmosphere... sat at a high top in the bar area next to the doors that were open, so we could feel the fresh air and not have to sit under the heat lamps but had a great view and people watching. Food was all really good and drinks were really good... Service was great. Free wifi, though couldn't get it to work well. We had the lobster poutine, which was amazing... the steak tartar was great, tuna tartar was great, French onion soup was fresh and yummy, steak and fries looked great, though i didn't try them. Cant complain... really good.

Yelp
Great steakhouse serving up grain-fed Alberta beef in a lovely setting with good service. I would highly recommend this place for a group dinner as their menu is varied enough for non-meat eaters and vegetarians. The steak salad with blue cheese was outstanding.
