Got to see a hot air balloon festival in Taiwan for the first time and it was such an amazing experience! 🎈✨ Super lucky the weather was nice that day 🌤️. If you're planning to go, definitely check the weather beforehand. Having your own car is way more convenient 🚗, but just a heads-up — traffic can get pretty bad because there are so many people 🚙🚙🚙.

This year, the Hot Air Balloon Festival was held at Luye Highlands! 🎈 The vibrant colors of the balloons against the lush green hills were absolutely breathtaking. It rained for a while, but I'm still admiring the incredible views from the top of the hill ⛰️.

Poorly arranged and clearly there was no attempt to make this a real tourist attraction. Parkings are expensive and absolute nightmares and I am not sure why it was even advertised on the official website when parking grounds are operated by local businesses? Such a shame that the hot air balloons were quite nice, but like many events in Taiwan, you can expect organizers to mess things up for everyone because they put so little thoughts into management and operation.

I came early before dawn. Enjoyed the sunrise also watched the staff prep the balloon really amazed me. Worth the view and the effort

Amazing Hot Air Balloon Festival that run from mid July to mid August You can see the ballon getting inflated twice a day from 5:30am-7am and from 5pm-6:30pm In 2024 there were about 40 balloons in competitions from several countries. 2024 was also the celebration of Hello Kitty 50th years anniversary

Cheaper version of Turkey hot air balloons. We didn't take the ride as we couldn't buy tickets in advance and walk-in tickets were sold out. Advice to those who wanna take the ride: better go for the morning session as the hot air balloons can only fly freely in this session, while in the evening session, the balloons are tied to the ground.

Came here for hot air balloon and god we’re so glad that we ride scooter instead of driving car. The traffic was crazy and maybe you’ll spend more time waiting for the traffic and finding the parking spot than enjoying the festival. So come early if you plan to drive here. We were so lucky the weather was nice. Limited public toilet considering the number of visitor, so be prepared to wait in line. Food stalls and souvenir shop available.
