Luz Charming Houses

This is my first time my husband and I visited Fatima, Portugal, I am in love with the town and the hotel. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing and quite hotel, this is a perfect choice. Pictures can't tell how beautiful this place is. From the heart shape gated entrance, to the welcoming entrance full of trees and flowers to the concrete flowered scented room, with a thin green door, with its pure white bed, towels, bath robes, and coffee station, windows that allow pure air to flow throughout the room, this is a mini retreat house. The stuff is a group of woman that are polite, and willing to do anything for you to feel confortable and welcomed. They pay so much attention to little details. Breakfast included lots of fresh seasonal fruits, nuts, hams, cheeses, yogurt, fruit juices, home made pastries and breads. You could sit for hours enjoying your meal. The breakfast room is adorable you have to see my pictures. There is a concrete above pool, a path to woods that connects to the stations of the cross and the place we're our Lady of Fatima appeared to the 3 children. The church is very close from the hotel.

We had an amazing stay here – just two nights, but we left feeling completely relaxed and recharged. Our room was wonderful, with a truly unique design, and the whole property has such a calm and peaceful atmosphere. Everything is beautifully landscaped, and walking through the gardens you’re surrounded by the scent of rosemary – such a treat. The heated pool was fantastic, with plenty of space to lounge and unwind, and there were so many quiet corners to just be still or even meditate in nature. The little walking trail was a highlight – it felt almost mystical, leading us into a small eucalyptus grove that smelled absolutely divine. Food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner, and we especially appreciated the vegan options. If there’s one small thing I would wish for, it’s regarding the little canary. He lives in a very tiny cage and without any companions. For such a mindful and peaceful place, it would feel more in tune to see him in a spacious aviary with other birds – or even better, to someday enjoy this beautiful property without any animals kept in cages at all.

Our stay at Luz Charming Houses was a beautiful and peaceful retreat during our two-week trip to Portugal. Every detail was thoughtful and we felt spoiled during our stay. Many thanks to the amazing staff for treating us so well.

This place was a step into heaven. Honestly it was beautiful and quiet, but what I thought was even more special, was that the customer service was far what I could have expected. The staff was incredible. Mariana at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful. Thank you so much for such a great stay - what a great way to celebrate a 40th birthday (we even got a little tart with a special handmade note in our room!)

WOW WOW a hidden gem, we will return to this gem just to rest and enjoy the beautiful setting. I can't say enough good things, to our surprise they just received a Michelin star for 2025, what else needs to be said. The staff can't do enough to make you feel at home. One is within walking distance from the Fatima apparition square, loved our room spaciousness and setting.

I had the loveliest time at Luz Houses as a solo traveler. ||From the moment, I checked in, they greeted me with such kindness and care. The property itself is immaculately curated and cozy. They thought of everything and even though I only stayed 24 hours, I was so rejuvenated and relaxed after leaving such a magical place. ||I HIGHLY recommend the massage in the cave. It was exquisite and very special. ||Very walkable to town. Sara was the best and I wish I could teleport back right now.

A unique memory. Starts from the moment we made the reservation . The entry gate is magical . Once it opens, you feel nature welcoming you. Beautiful setting throughout the property with lots of different garden themes . Lovely & cozy room. Very nice amenities. A warm welcome note awaited us with beautiful flower petals , Champaign, and 2 glasses. It was our anniversary and they remembered. Great and friendly staff, all connected to hospitality. The place is spotless and smells so good. Our dinner setting was romantic and delicious. |A place to return to . 🌈

Wow! Luz Houses was a pleasant surprise! The entire grounds are meticulously curated and are just wonderful. Our room was well appointed, comfortable, and - candidly - significantly exceeded our expectations. We were prepared for a little ... funkiness. We found none. The staff at this charming report were super responsive, communicative, and thoughtful. We wish we had a few more days to just soak in all of the quaint aspects of this property. Strongly recommended!!!

The gem I found on my trip to Portugal. Very clean and very beautiful place in a secluded area that's within walking distance to the Mary Shrine and more. We did not have to take taxi because the staff showed us a short cut through the woods to one place and through a parking lot to another. The breakfast provided in the morning was good and nice. There's a pool and also a small farm with goats in the back yard. The taxi driver that took me here on my first day was impressed that I was lucky to be able to book for a room/unit at this place and she also mentioned that it's a very nice place. I totally agreed. One thing that I can't understand how a mistake took place when we hung the sign on the door asking for no cleaning but they still came in to clean when we were not there. The privacy sign we had on the door was taken inside that's how we knew someone entered our unit while we were away. Besides that everything else was a 5-star!
