l'Uzine

This was fine dining at its best. We chose the 3 course option of Entree+Plat+Dessert. The menu was in french so there was much I did not understand but in any language, it was clear that this was excellent food and excellent service. We loved it. Popular with locals as has such a good reputation. Reservations recommended.

Honestly, L’Uzine was better than expected! The food was absolutely stunning — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and creativity of the dishes. That said, there were a couple of downsides: the food took quite a while to arrive, and the toilets were very dirty, which took away a bit from the overall experience. Still, the taste and quality of the food made it worth the wait. With just a bit more attention to cleanliness and service speed, it could easily be a 5-star spot.

Very cozy and ambient place with extremely good food. Had tuna steak and beef stake both very good quality with delicious flavors. Have no negative comments regarding food, it was truly amazing! Only one thing (little feedback for the restaurant) we been there while the band/singers were having performance table to table which occasionally seemed a bit overwhelming and too loud and especially if you don’t want to be part of it - I would suggest just to always ask before if guests actually want the “performance” or they prefer to skip :) But nothing negative- just a friendly feedback!

Cozy restaurant with quick and friendly service and good food. I liked how they managed to prepare my blank angus flank steak, which was served as a thin portion of meat, as medium rare. Red wine we got recommended was also delicious. All in all, very nice restaurant, the only point to mention were prices, which seemed bit higher than expected. Recommended.

Very tasty food, the zucchini starter is really good and refreshing! The service and environment are super nice! Do recommend to go for people searching a nice place to have dinner!

This a lovely restaurant very near the port. It gets very busy. I went the with friends for lunch and really enjoyed it. The starter was a delicious burrata salad which was so so scrumptious. I also sampled a bit of chèvre au lait which was extremely delicious. I didn’t really fancy eating fish that day so I went for an omelette au comté which was very well made but was quite large so I ended up with no space for a dessert :-) The fries which came with the omelette were okay. I don’t think the type of potatoes they used worked for fries/chips. I will have to go back to try their white chocolate mousse as it looked really yummy. Like a perfect summer dessert with strawberries. The bread and wine (I had a glass of Chablis) were great. The service however was a bit patchy.

One of my favorite places in Nice. When my mom was here for 3 days we ate here 2/3 times. I love the filet with peppercorn sauce as well as the veal cutlet & I think the artichoke salad. Service is great!

We made this reso a while in advance after seeing the nice Instagram and social media they had. Seems they were more obsessed over that than the food or service of the restaurant. While waiting for a server to take our order we saw them filming Instagram content at the bar and chatting with each other. Once we did order they brought still instead of the requested sparking water. No big deal though. We waited even longer for our wine, it arrived after our entrée. We ordered the half cooked tuna (not sure what I expected) and the pork shoulder ravioli. The Tuna was absolutely horrible. Tasteless and under salted, served with mashed potatoes and a gravy. It was lukewarm warm fish with potatoes basically for €32. After our entire meal we waited another 25 mins after asking for the bill to pay. Eventually we got up to just leave and pay as it was never brought over. We could notice the 2 tables beside us also having the same slow service and bad experience and the one table also got up to leave after waiting too long to pay. Definitely won’t be back it was a major disappointment

Outstanding food, perfect location for people watching. My server who was also the manager -Yann, was a delight, he gave me some really good food recommendations in Nice. They also played some really good Afrohouse and deep house. I also went as a solo diner and I felt right at home Highly recommend. The vibes were immaculate. I would go back .

Other than sitting on a terrace next to two chain smokers puffing away all evening, this spot was perfection! I wish I had asked to go inside to not have to deal with the smoking culture all through this delicious meal. Definitely something to consider as you select your table. The Italian food was sensational. Incredibly fresh ingredients. Booming flavors. Homemade pastas. Craft cocktails. All the wine. You can't go wrong... minus a poorly chosen table. Definitely would recommend this spot as the servers were super friendly and help guide you through the menu and kept up being attentive to ensure we had everything we needed. Loved it here!

Enjoy some French cuisine in a little restaurant around the harbor. The cocktails are delicious and the food exquisite. The staff was very nice too and the wine amazing. You can sometimes enjoy some live music while eating. I totally recommend this place! Very comfy terrace outside as well and smoking area!

Situated in the new district to go for diner " le petit marais nissarte " this restaurant propose a nice selection of typical dishes but also classics like a very tasty caeser salad ! The welcoming is perfect and decontracted. For 2 persons we had a menu with " starter, main and dessert " + 2 glasses of wine for a total of 80€. This is honest regarding the quality and the place. I'll be back for sure !

Great place on the Port, and yes it is both Italian and some French (somehow) but mostly Italian. The tuna was just awesome and the appetizers come in a mix if you are there with say three or more people try that!

We got into Nice late, around 10:30 and met some local friends here at 11:30! The waiters were very sweet to still serve us some food (and handsome :P) The ahi tuna was tasty, light and satisfying. The potatoes were cooked perfectly and ambience was great. Thanks for serving us so late, it prepared us for a long night out haha. We appreciate it x

Everything they served us was great. Young crowd, but no one gave me attitude because of my silver hair. We will return to Nice and to L'Uzine (after we have seen the rest of the world and start to repeat ourselves.)
