A beautiful and historic opera house, with an ornate marble interior, a classic theatre with balconies, and the only 'sloping' stage I have ever seen. They put on high quality operas, with very professional casts and costumes even in wartime. Of course almost all of them are in Ukrainian or Italian, but it's still worth a visit for the experience. The price is around 500-600 UAH for a seat in the 'stalls'. If it's a midweek performance you can usually get a ticket just before the show from the box office, no need to book online.

Liviv is second great city in Ukraine . I really like the streets here and the vibe . Lviv National Opera is right in the center of the liviv and amazıng monument here . You can just walk without taking picture of it.

I was here for the Solaris Premiere. The play was fantastic, the performance marvellous, a big thank you to the great ensemble!!! But...it seems like it is normal here, that people can enter the show, after it has started. So like 10 times during the first act people came, sometimes to the middle of the seating rows. Second, in Ukraine it seems to be okay to film and photograph during the whole play, sometimes for minutes, sometimes with flashlight, sometimes the phones on loud so that you could hear incoming messages, some people texted, once you could hear an incoming call. It half-ruined the experience for me and it is very rude to other visitors and the ensemble. There is no announcement at the beginning of the show regarding phones and filming, and it is tolerated by the staff. So sadly, even for the great performance, I wouldn't go to Lviv Opera again.

We were able to go in an watch auditions, but there were no shows the week we were there. It is beautiful. You can hear the singers several blocks away. Long before you see the building.

We just visited the place .. didn't enter inside. The place itself is very beautiful and calm right in the middle of road .. giving an extreme importance to the architecture. Captured a ton of photos on front of the building. With its majestic beauty behind . There are lots of places to sit and walk around. There are photographers who will take splendid photos for you to keep as a memory.

Lviv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, is a place that left me absolutely speechless. From the moment I saw its stunning architecture, I knew I was in for something special. The building itself is a masterpiece, with its grand facade, intricate sculptures, and elegant details. It feels like stepping into a different era, full of charm and sophistication. When I attended a performance there, I was blown away by the quality of the show. The singers, dancers, and musicians were all incredibly talented, and the atmosphere inside the theater was magical. The acoustics are perfect, and every note, every movement, felt like it was meant to be experienced right there, in that moment. It’s not just a performance; it’s an emotional journey. What I also loved was the interior of the opera house. The luxurious decorations, the golden details, and the majestic chandeliers make you feel like royalty. It’s clear that every corner of this place was designed with love and attention to detail. Visiting Lviv Opera is not just about watching a show – it’s about immersing yourself in culture, art, and history. Whether you’re a fan of opera and ballet or just someone who appreciates beauty, this place will leave you in awe. I can’t recommend it enough. It’s a must-see when in Lviv, and I’m already planning my next visit. This is an experience I’ll never forget! 🎭✨

Saw Tosca the other day. While the entrance hall itself didn’t wow me (I think the red lighting put me off), the hall itself as well as the performance were splendid. Very enjoyable visit, would definitely go again and recommend to anyone visiting this Lviv to also visit the opera!

Historical building with absolutly amazing interior and style. The entrance costs only few euros (100 hryvias) which is more than affordable for the touch and sense of the Grandeur of old times.-)
