Super chill and nice hostel! We stayed in a private room with shared bathroom and it was perfect! The shower and toilet were super clean as well as the rooms. I wish the room had a hook or coat rack to hang up things. Other than that really quiet in mid January and central location.

Lovely, characterful hostel minutes walk from everywhere. Lovely twin room spotless and fresh. Comfy beds. Nice and quiet. Downstairs communal kitchen and delicious breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be back. Thank you

Clean and quiet room with a bathroom where pebbles are cleverly incorporated into the shower plate and the sink. Small corridors that never feel cramped. A lovely cozy living room with a bar, plants, guitar and board games. Situated in the historic centre of Bruges, it was overall a pleasant stay. Lybeer would have gotten a 6 out of 5 from me if the breakfast would have been a buffet and if I would not have been disturbed during having breakfast, because a (fraternity?) group was given the privilege to sit where I was still sitting by the hostel staff, which I found to be quite unmannered (I had to get up to make room for them), to the point that I gave my opinion, and the impatient reply by the young blonde haired lady was "I TOLD you I was SORRY :@." which is not a thing I want to wake up to and which should have probably been handled in a more customer oriented way.

The only thing going for this hostel is the location. The staff were fine, but we paid way too much for the experience we had. The room was cramped with only a sink and not a single piece of furniture or drawer. The hostel was incredibly loud (we struggled to sleep with blaring music from the bar downstairs and obnoxious guests shouting in the halls at 4am). The facilities were gross - clogged toilet and a gross communal shower. Double thumbs down

Google
It was too overpriced. There is no wifi in the rooms. The stairs are too steep to climb. The upper bunk is also more steep than usual and is too difficult. The rooms aren’t sound proof. Its 1 AM and I can hear door banging noises. There are no activities every day like other hostels. The location is really good though which is the savior. It’s clean and maintained otherwise but don’t recommend

I had a great stay here. I was only there one night but I somehow got very lucky and was upgraded to a single room. Everything very clean and bed was comfy. Really close to everything too and very easy to find. ||Only issue was when I arrived at 12pm to check-in, there was a sign to say “on a break, back in 30mins,” but after 40mins still no one came, so I left my bags and checked in later

There was not strong hot water. It was horrible to take a shower. And the automatic lamp in the shower! The automatic light would go off until I undressed. I have to switch on until hot water come.. And it was 2 toilet for 24 person. In the morning I had to go another stage to you toilet..

Yelp
Lybeers was a fantastic hostel to stay in and one that I would recommend for folks traveling through Bruges. It is centrally located near restaurants and shops and very easy to access via 15-20 min walk from Gare Bruges. We stayed in a six-person mixed dorm on the very top floor of the hostel. Note that there are no elevators so you will need to life everything up to your space. Note that you will need to do your own sheets on the bed so make sure you don't pass out before completing this task. Either I was really tired or that bed mattress was great because I slept like a baby the entire night I was there. There are also multiple outlets aligning the walls for you to charge your devices. Each floor also has private toilets and showers available, some having both included. The showers here look very modern and much cleaner than other hostels I've stayed. There are dedicated sink areas as well. The public spaces in this hostel were fantastic! There are a ton of open seating as well as a bar inside with its own happy hour available. While we didn't spend too much time hanging out in the lobby, I appreciate the openness and clean, friendly environment. If you arrive early or need a place to store luggage, they have a secured access-code closet that stores everyone's belongings. Great sense of security seeing this available free of charge. Definitely do not hesitate to book with Lybeers if you can. They are truly a superstar hostel!

Yelp
Lybeers Travelers' Hostel is a lovely hostel conveniently located near the heart of the city of Brugge. Check-in was quick and easy. The guy at the desk was also friendly and helpful. Three of us stayed in a four-person mixed dorm hostel on the third floor. Luckily, no 4th person showed up so we had the room to ourselves. The beds were bunk style, no creaky noises. Underneath the bottom bunks, there are drawers where you can lock your belongings. You will need to bring a lock. The room and bathroom was very clean. Each floor had a shower/toilet and sinks, which were separate from each other. None of us had any issues waiting for them. There is a bar in the living area. They serve awesome beer for cheap prices. They do beer tours during the day. They also have a full kitchen for everyone to use. If I return to Bruges, I'd definitely stay here again! If you are driving to Bruges and need to park your car, it is a quick walk to Centrum 't Zand (Bruges) - Interparking. It is about 9 Euros to park for 24 hours.

Yelp
Overall, this was a solid and pleasant stay for me. Quick overview of the place: ((PROS)) --Location: Outstanding. Lybeers is conveniently close to everything you would need (supermarket, restaurants, atm, etc). You really can't go wrong staying here. -Room: I stayed in a single and it was great! I paid just a bit more than staying in a dorm room and the perks that came with this was: bed already made + comforter & towel provided + sink in the room = nice. If you stay in a dorm room (I saw my friend's place that had six people), be warned that there is limited space for your belongings and that the room may feel a bit cramped. --Amenities: Free wifi (which was quick and reliable)/ kitchen (where you can cook/store your own food) / common room (perfect to chill / meet other guests) / bar (awesome happy hour for beer) / free luggage storage (helpful for early check in or storing luggage) / free maps & guides / overall, Lybeers was quite solid in offering useful features to their guests. --Hostel Activities: Loveeeee the pub crawl! Highly recommend doing this if you're strapped for time and want to know about the fun local spots and such (quick shout out to Shiva who was a great host for the pub crawl!). Lybeers also does free walking tours and beer tasting, so make sure to look into those activities! --Pricing: Very reasonable! Book far in advance if you're requesting a single and such. :) ((CONS)) --Bathrooms: There's a weird bathroom set up if you happened to end up in a non-ensuite room. Each floor has its own variation of the toilet/shower/sink and on the third floor, there was 1 separate shower only room, 1 toilet + shower connected, and 1 sink room only. For me, if I realllly wanted to pee and someone happened to shower in the toilet + shower room, then I would need to search for another open toilet on the other floors (which also had limited number of toilets). --No lift/elevator: If you happen to stay on the 3rd floor........be warned that there is no elevator/lift. So time to use your muscles to haul up your belongings! Be careful when going up/down the stairs since the steps are quite small. --Staff: Hit or miss....sometimes it can be a challenge to find the staff and some of the people weren't too friendly. Overall though, the ones I did get a chance to talk to were pretty chill. --Security: There are 24hour cameras situated in the building, but it's a little irking to see that ANYONE can just walk on in (no extra requirement to get in the front door during the day) and walk up the stairs like it's nothing. So do exercise some caution and remember to lock your door. Despite some of the cons, it didn't ruin my experience here much. I would recommend this place to any solo traveler / people when visiting Bruges.

Yelp
The city is absolutely amazing! The hostel itself is beautiful and the neighborhood is extremely quiet, safe and cute! There is a fantastic common area and bar that plays 80's music during the day and reggatone at night LOL We only met two staff members here and although both were extremely friendly and helpful, they weren't the most social people and sometimes I felt like we were bothering them whenever we asked a question. But whatever. The full kitchen is great and they have free coffee and tea. All the shared bathrooms seem to be unisex but we had a private room with private bath on the 1.5 floor. Yes, 1.5 because you climb the narrow spiral staircase to the 1st floor, walk down the hallway, then up another set of stairs and down another hallway to our room. Our room was perfectly fine EXCEPT for ONE thing......it smelled like poop. And when I say poop, I mean...poop. OK, a little too harsh but basically it's the drains....it smelled like water hasn't been flushed through the drains so there's gunk sitting in it which makes it smell like....poop. When we open the windows and close the bathroom door, there isnt a smell and since we were just staying for one night, we just tolerated it. Other than that, we didn't have any issues. We took advantage of the happy hour in the common area and made friends with other travelers since everything closes early around town.

Yelp
This was a pretty good hostel. I had a single room to myself (with a shared bedroom) and I had a great night's sleep both nights I was there. The bed was surprisingly really comfortable with a giant duvet. The room was a little warm with the radiator but the window opened so it was fine. It was really quiet despite the creakiness of the old building and I slept well both nights. There is no breakfast there which is a bummer and they have what I thought were excessively strict rules about no food or drinks in the rooms. There is a kitchen and a bar, neither of which I used. They had a good info sheet with stuff nearby we could visit for food. The location is good, though everything is located close in Brugge. It is about a 12 minute walk from the train station through a pleasant park. I would stay here again.

Yelp
Good hostel! Very friendly staff. There's a common room attached to a bar, and there's even a piano! The location is great, prices are a bit high but I stayed in a 4-room dorm. The map they give is very good too, full of suggestions on what to do! The beds are pretty comfortable too. Each floor only has one shower (with a toilet) and one toilet though; I'm not sure whether that works most of the time. I had to go to another floor to shower. In any case, great location and friendly staff, would recommend!

Yelp
As the other reviewer noted the price is very good and its very easy to get to and from the train station from this location. That being said, it is a bit farther away from the nightlife then one would hope. Bruges is pretty tiny so nothing is too far. Lybeer is surrounded by shopping and food. It is not all good. Much of the food is jacked up bland meals. Its definitely worth listening to the front desk person on where to go. This hostel definitely feels safe, was recently updated and is very clean. They have a computer that you can use there and wifi throughout.

Yelp
I don't often give hostels such high stars but this one was nice Clean, neat and tidy rooms and bathrooms. The beds in the dorms were comfortable but there was not much spare space nor any in room locker storage. Reasonable size kitchen but if enough people wish to cook at the same time could be cosy but the bar is nice once it gets going Locate a short walk to the train station and just as close to the town centre Limited number of bathrooms but generally not huge lines in the few days I was there and awesome hot water pressure

Yelp
Lybeers was perfect I stayed I. 4 mixed dorm room. Location wise it is unbeatable value for the money is amazing. Helpful front desk and fancy common room. Kitchen has all the utensils that you might need. Wi fi is very efficient and fast all over the place. I can give five star for the cleaning. Bathroom and sinks were pretty clean. Overall I felt home in Lybeers and highly recommend it.

Yelp
Location and price are great! It's within walking distance of everything you would want to see in Brugges. Definitely very noisy at night, I was on the top floor and was kept up by loud music/kareoke in the lobby well into the night. I also heard the door shake several times one night as if someone was trying to get into my room. Not a lot of places to lock up your things, I stayed in a two person room and just always made sure to lock the door. Not sure that I would choose to stay here again but it was perfect for just two nights and the location for a weekend in Brugges.

Qype User (waff…)

Yelp
Affordable, a private single room for EUR25 (shared bathroom), free wireless internet and computers, remarkably friendly staff and seemed secure to me. Cute and simple but far from luxurious, it is all one should really need from a hostel. Also had free towels, kitchen and laundry. Located in a convenient part of the old city and in very close walking distance to groceries, restaurants and so on. For the low price, it was well worth it.

Yelp
The hostel has a vibrant style with brightly colored walls and a grand chandelier near the bar. The happy hour has excellent prices, essentially the same as the grocery store. Plenty of room is devoted to a kitchen if you'd like to cook for yourself. The downsides The rooms and common rooms lack a sufficient number of plugs. I travel tech heavy and need my devices charged. Perhaps I am an anomaly with an iPad, phone, ear buds, laptop all needing charging but even if I only had two items to charge it would get tough. The rooms are very small, but this is not abnormal for a hostel. There is also an insufficient number of bathrooms. If someone is taking a shower you have to go up and down floors to find an open one.
