Fabulous location, set off the main area in a very quiet street. Bag drop area in case you arrive before 2pm check-in. I was in a 4 bed female dorm with shared bathroom breakfast included., coded safe for each person's valuables under the bed. I thought the bathroom was shared just by us in the room, but no, it's the whole corridor, have no fear, it was spotless, and I never had an issue going for a shower when I wanted. There is a ground floor and upper floor outside area, as well as seating out front. There is a kitchen to cater for yourself and a lovely lounge area., and free tea and coffee available all day. On arrival I was given the run down of things, one of these being, help yourself to tea and coffee in the morning and someone will come to you about your breakfast , I waited the first morning, with another traveler who also booked breakfast, but nobody came, and nobody seemed to be about except the cleaner, same thing 2nd morning, so that afternoon I spoke to guy on reception, he said I actually have to approach a member of staff and say I am booked with breakfast. The cleaner is who I should go to. Please note, breakfast is from a cafe nearby, it's a set breakfast, everyone gets the same. I have to say it was so beautifully presented, in a little wooden crate, lined with a check napkin, contents were, croissant, bread roll, slice of Madeira cake, a slice of ham, a slice of cheese, a hard boiled egg, half an apple and some spreads. I shared what I didn't want with other guests. All in all, I highly recommend Lybeer Hostel, a spotless, quiet, well located, well run, establishment. When I go again though, I won't book with breakfast included, only because my tastes are different.
