lyf Farrer Park Singapore

We had stayed at lyf in Malaysia before and loved it, so we chose lyf Farrer Park and it didn’t disappoint! The hotel has a fun, modern vibe with clean, cozy rooms and thoughtful facilities. We really liked the self-check-in process and the shared kitchen, which was perfect for light cooking. The hotel rules are clear, and everyone seemed to follow them politely—it felt clean, respectful, and environmentally conscious. Though the rooms are compact, the space is really well-organized and smartly designed, great use of a small area. The facilities worked well for us, and everything felt very efficient. The location is super convenient just a short walk from Farrer Park MRT, City Square Mall, and right in the heart of Little India. Across from the Starlight Terrace, there are many local restaurants with great food. There’s also a restaurant on the ground floor serving tasty pizza, snacks, and beer for a nice change if you’re looking for something different from typical Singaporean food. Overall, it’s a fantastic place for couples or young travelers who want something stylish, affordable, and well-located. Highly recommend and we’d definitely stay again!

The location is unbeatable—just steps away from Farrer Park MRT, making it easy to explore Singapore. The self-check-in process was smooth, and the communal spaces added a nice touch for relaxation. We were going to Singapore as group of 12 and 3 families and after a lot of research I booked this hotel. I booked 3 of two bedroom apartments one for each family. Overall it was very nice and convenient. It exceeded my expectations. The staff was courteous and friendly and they helped us with everything that we asked for. the only cons if I would say were that they do house keeping only once a week, and i wished they would do it more number of times, but I cant reduce the rating because this was mentioned before making the booking.

The hotel’s staff and location are highlight - friendly, helpful and a convenient, shaded access through Farrer Park MRT. Bed and pillows are comfy. Good amenities such as laundry dryer and fully equipped gym. However, the rooms are small, dusty, and not fully soundproof. Dust from AC or ventilation settles on desks and belongings daily, and few times my sleep was disrupted by kids screaming or adults talking outside the room.

I stayed for 4 nights in May 2025||||Pros:||-fairly spacious rooms for the type of hotel it is. I stayed in this maybe 2.5 years ago and the only difference is they've removed the wooden bench the mattress was on top of and replaced it with a metal bed frame. Now you can actually use that space to put more things, it's created a little more room to move behind in front of the bed. ||-aircon works well. ||-has a decent sized bench space to spread out or work or eat. ||-i like the night lights above the bed. i also like the little shelves they have to put the key card or whatever you want, just convenient spots to place things. ||-hairdryer provided. ||-toilet and shower area is completely separated which i love. Shower works well, the bodywash etc they have is fine. ||-location is excellent. right next to farrer park mrt, across the road from city square mall. easy to get around. ||||Cons:||-bed mattress is okay in comfort but not great. After 2 days you start tossing around because of the mattress material (i'm not sure if there's a topper), it's not great quality, it's a bit like those medium-firm foamy types or something, it's not as supportive and it can get a little uncomfortable. In general it's okay for short term. ||||Also you already know cleaning is every 3 days and that water is obtained from the shared water filter in the floor corridors and no pool. So that was fine. Staff can be a little more warm, friendly and cheerful to guests checking in or having queries.||||Overall for short stays it's a decent hotel in a good location. ||||Overall rating: 8.8/10

I came across these photos while clearing out my gallery. I stayed at this hotel two years ago during my Chinese New Year trip. The room and facilities were great, and the location was very convenient. I hope this review isn’t too late.

We stayed in a two of a kind apartment with our two kids and it was such a great setup! Having the little kitchenette included was very helpful. The beds were very comfy and the rooms were very clean. We did need to prop the bedroom doors open (they both had self-closing locking doors) as our kids were young but that wasn’t a big deal. The location of the hotel was great - right across the road from a shopping centre with everything you need including a supermarket. The staff at the hotel were all lovely and the laundry downstairs was very useful. We would definitely stay in this hotel again and we recommend the two of a kind apartment for families looking to spread out a bit more than a standard hotel room allows, but within a reasonable budget.

"The location is excellent, and the hotel overall is considered very good. However, the room is somewhat small, which is normal in Singapore. Housekeeping and towel replacement are done approximately every three days. There is a kitchen on the fourth floor that guests can use, as well as a shared freezer for all guests, in addition to a small fridge on each floor. There is also a large lobby suitable for studying and working, and a laundry and ironing room available for personal use."
