This is our third time staying at this hotel. The reception and bellman are friendly. Hotel and Rooms are clean, basic amenities provided, hair dryer is available to use too, you can get it in one of the drawer. I love their bed, blanket and pillow very very much. They are really super comfortable. Room size is slight smaller comparing with the rate we pay for a night around RM 330/room/night with breakfast, booked through Agoda. Most of the product that the hotel using in the room are consider good quality. The breakfast they provided is pre-packed which includes fried noodles with some side dishes, fruits and salad. Then we can take coffee ourselves from coffee machine. They do have bread , and eggs available I think we can take and make ourselves. The breakfast is okay for us but the is no choice to choose. And around few minutes before 10am, they will come and tell you they will close at 10am. We can’t really stay at their restaurant longer to enjoy and finishing the drinks. But it is fine. We just felt the disappointment for the parking issue. The limited free parking beside the hotel , they should have do it “first come first serve” for hotel guests, instead of only reserved for so called “VIP” depending what car the hotel guests are driving. Those hotel guest who are not VIP will need to park at behind , the chargeable parking at RM 10.60 for 24 hours, pay by touch and go card or Debit card. But I think most of the guest will think that why do I still need to pay for the hotel car park since I’m staying at your hotel and the free parking only reserve for expensive car. The limited free parking only reserved for this kind of VIP makes us feel disappointed. When we were back to hotel at night, there were still few empty free parking space besides their hotel. And also in the morning. Anyway, we might still consider to come back again because of their comfortable room.

I'm going to preface by saying that I've not stayed in many different Hotels in Penang, maybe it's a similar experience across the board, but in that case they all deserve two stars. When I travel, in looking for a quiet, clean place to sleep, in a convenient location. Lyf is certainly clean, and the location is excellent, however none of it matters if I can't get any sleep. This hotel has some of the worst soundproofing I've had to experience, and the nonsensical layout of the floors compounds the issues. Avoid anything on the second floor, since most rooms are opposite a pool and you will hear the thunder of everyone and their families going up and down the hall, chatting and yelling to one another. You will also clearly hear your neighbours, both to the sides and up and down, use their showed and toilets, unzip their suitcases, have a normal conversation. I could hear people in the downstairs foyer moving their chairs like they were in the room with me, which probably means if you're in the third floor you'll hear everything going on in the pool too. The rooms are pretty small, but clean. They also end up being very dark as there is a courtyard in which anyone can see what you're doing - great for voyuers and exhibitions I suppose. We ended up keeping the curtains drawn most of the time. One of our friends was further from the pool, but has to deal with the bad soundproofing which lead to them enjoying the sound of nearby clubs and restaurants. I've spent this whole review whinging about the noise but frankly after a few days of this it's all you can think about and no amount of cool decor, or slick branding can distract you from the fact that you're going to have to listen to your neighbours loudly having sex at 2am and then the early bird family with screaming kids running down the hallway to the pool at 6:30am. Service was polite and efficient.

Stayed for the weekend. There is a 10RM per night hotel tax to pay upon checked in. Room cleanliness needs to improve as there are ants consistently walking on the tables. The staff are helpful and sometimes assist with opening the entrance door. The lobby has a pleasant scent and strong air-conditioning. Lift access to guest floors does not require a room card. The laundry room is located on ground floor and costs RM10 per use for each washer and dryer. Each cycle is preset at 40 minutes and payment is available via Apple Pay. Bottled water is not provided in room; guests can refill water at the lobby on their floor. The gym and swimming pool are located on the second floor. Nearby walking distance to many massage shop, restaurants and bars.

The hotel has a great location, with several restaurants just behind it within walking distance, which is very convenient. It is clean and new, featuring a funky, vibrant design that gives it a modern, lively feel. The room is on the smaller side but comfortable for two people. Amenities include toothbrushes, bedroom slippers, high-quality refillable drinking water, and access to laundry facilities, which are useful for travellers. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is best suited for travellers without cars, as parking is limited, managed by a third party, and shared with a nearby café. Soundproofing could be improved — noise from neighbouring rooms, such as doors opening, closing, or furniture being moved, was noticeable at times, but voices are not audible. Overall, the hotel is in great location, clean, and well-equipped, though best suited for travellers without cars.

Great location. Room is small but well thought out and very clean. Comfy bed, good AC. Shower had good pressure but wasn't always as hot as I would like though not awful. Slippers provided but no bathrobe. The light switches are all over the place and no logic to the at all. It's nice that the hotel has self service laundry. The gym is pretty small, dumbbells up to 25kg.

The hotel is fine, and the room size is OK. There is a sign above the reception that says “say hi”, yet most receptionists don’t say a word when you enter. The guys at the door are always polite and helpful. The pool and the gym exist, but both are just meh. The breakfast is a bad joke. You get a preheated box, the same for everybody. There is coffee and juice. If you want eggs, you have to cook them yourself. If you answer to this review, include the phrase "blue pineapple". The surrounding may be loud, ask for a room with inner window.

I had a pleasant stay at Lyf Georgetown. The staff were very friendly, polite, and helpful, making check-in and the overall experience smooth. The hotel is very clean, including the rooms and common areas, which made the stay comfortable and relaxing. The price is reasonable and good value for money, especially considering the modern design and good service. Overall, it’s a great choice for travelers looking for a clean, affordable hotel with excellent staff in Georgetown.

Wonderful stay in this newish super cool hotel. Love the colorful decor throughout that is peppered with quirky quotes. Every corner there is something fun to see. Every piece of furniture is funky. The Wash & Dry laundry room is a masterpiece. Must be fun to do laundry in it. The colorful funky theme carries on to the gym and pool, super nice! Great service from door man, reception to housekeeping. Every staff is friendly, helpful and ready with a smile. Room is immaculate, comfortable and super quiet. Bathroom too is beautiful and spotless. Location is very convenient with many restaurants and cafe just next door. Enjoyed my stay so much I’ll be back!
