Fascinating. Lots to read. Toilets inside which is helpful. We had a little activity to do on the way round. My 6 year old wasn't overly engaged but she liked the dinosaurs so hopefully it will come in use when she is older. A nice activity to do though if you are visiting

I was really excited to visit this museum as a long time lover of fossils and passionate student of archaeology/ palaeontology. The museum has some really fascinating specimens, but the space feels cramped with inadequate ventilation when overcrowded. Considering the size of the collection, it did feel overpriced for two adults.

The Lyme Regis Museum is a nice small museum in the building Mary Anning once lived in. There are nice exhibits explaining the history of the area and the people who were part of it. There is a small gift shop and friendly staff.

I highly recommend the Fossil Walk given by the team at the Lyme Regis Museum. It was such a treat for my nephew who is nearly 8 years old. The adults loved it too - especially when I found two ammonites on the Jurassic Coast. It was a very hot day and the guide (Kieran) made sure everyone was hydrating and using suncream. Kieran and his colleague, were so informative and gave a great presentation with samples. My nephew ended up with quite a haul of fossils - it was a dream come true for him, as he wants to be a paleontologist when he grows up. We are going back again!

Lovely museum with lots of interesting exhibits. Our Grandson aged 3 loved all the dinosaurs. His favourite bit was the interactive box on the first floor and the drawers with puzzles in in the main fossil room

Very interesting and informative museum with the history of the town on the first floor with exhibits regarding the filming locations for movies IE: The French Lieutenants Woman starring Meryl Streep and Jeremy Irons and the second floor dedicated to Mary Anning who's fossil discoveries of ammonites and complete dinosaur skeletons made a long lasting contribution to modern day paleontology.

A lovely little museum, largely dedicated to Mary Anning. If you have a little Dinosaur lover, this is a must. She is one of the most Important Fossil hunters in history

So much to see, read and unusual interactions. Staff were very friendly, kind, informative and generous with their time. Let alone a welcoming experience and one to not be missed when visiting Lyme. On the site of Mary Annings old house, infamous.
