Had a wonderful time at Chez Lyndon Manor. It is a lovely renovated house near downtown Lexington, that blends modern with historical furnishings. There is a garden in the back with private parking. The room was clean, and furnished beautifully with a comfortable bed, sitting area and en suite. The plush bathrobes added to the lush stay, but by far the homemade breakfast was the star! The menu changed each day and the choices were amazing! Anton was a welcoming host and amazing chef.

My family had 4 guests rooms for 4 nights, which were all so eloquently beautiful and comfortable. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, lots of combinations to choose from, and all so yummy! Rick, who was onsite, was the most gracious host. We all enjoyed having him "take care of us". He was so kind, friendly, accommodating, and professional. We highly recommend anyone going to Lexington to stay at the Chez Lyndon Manor. Thanks a million Rick, and to your chef and any staff members we missed!!

Chez Lyndon Manor is delightful in every way. The house is beautiful and our room was spacious and perfectly appointed. Our bed was so comfortable. There are helpful notes in the room and in the common areas that anticipate any question that may arise, it was incredible! The breakfast was delectable and made to order. Anton (the host) is a wonderful person and I feel so lucky to have gotten to chat with him a bit. We will be returning on our next trip to Lexington !

Lyndon House was a beautifully decorated B&B within walking distance of downtown and its numerous restaurants and bars. Our room, which was at the back of the house, was quiet, roomy and comfortable. The B&B was within an easy drive of all the attractions we visited, and we appreciated the parking spots available right behind the house. Breakfasts were tasty.

Google
A very disappointing bed & breakfast. Firstly there was no one there to greet us on arrival- the building was empty. Once we orientated ourselves we found the key to our room on the bar. However we were given a key to the wrong room - phone call required to sort out. For a location that prides itself in its hospitality Anton made no effort to make contact with us on the first evening. Our first contact was at breakfast the following morning. We stayed in the Bluegrass suite and found the fixtures and fittings very tired and were not sure how clean the towels were. Also no hot water on the first evening and morning. Overall a very disappointing stay. We would not recommend.

Anton was so kind and welcoming. My sister and I spent one night here and loved it. The house is well kept, clean, and charming. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. I would definitely stay again!

Google
What a wonderful experience, staying at Lyndon Manor! The place is beautifully furnished, meticulously maintained, and Anton is the smartest, most attentive host i have ever encountered! The breakfast was fit for a king!

Yelp
Beware deceptive business practice! I booked a room that was listed as refundable if canceled at least 48 hours in advance. My plans changed and I cancelled the reservation with 5 days notice, and was shocked to discover that the proprietor charges a "10% restocking fee," which was $21. This was not disclosed at the time I made the online booking, although apparently is buried deep within the fine print that nobody ever reads. I reached out to the owner, who responded "you made an online reservation and doing so you click through my system, which said you read and understood all the policies and accepted the terms so this is a moot point so move on." If this is the owner's idea of customer service, I suggest avoiding this property.

Yelp
During our stay we had items missing out of our room and witnessed random people in the house at all hours of the night. We heard yelling and honestly felt creeped out.

Yelp
Why 4 stars? Because the Lyndon House was a fun way to shake things up. --- --- --- I travel to Lexington about 4 times a year, and I've made it a fun goal to stay at a different hotel for each visit. You might even say *I'm sleeping my way around Lexington!* Is that a good slogan? The Lyndon House feels like it's probably about the age of my great grandmother, if she were still with us. In Florida, where I live, historical buildings do not run rampant, so it's always kind of neat to take in that kind of ambiance. However, if sleek/modern/new is more your flavor, then you might want to look elsewhere. I'd definitely prefer something modernized, but this was a fun change of pace. The parking lot in the back of the building is essentially off of an alley. I seriously don't even know if I was driving the right direction down the alley, as I didn't see any signs marked anywhere. And because the alley is so narrow, parking properly between the lines can be a bit of a challenge. I had a mid-sized vehicle, so if you're cruising down in a Hummer, I'd recommend parking in the street nearby, and not even messing with the alley. The main entrance door has a key pad and your room is opened with an *actual* physical key. I found this to be fascinating, though thinking back, it's really not very odd for a simple B&B to not pay for the device that allows for keycard entry on each room. The room is decor fits the theme of the home - classic. The bed is extremely comfortable with about 10 pillows, which is the key to my heart. There's an individual thermostat in the room, but I'm not sure how accurate it is, or how quickly it reacts to adjustments. It was 22 degrees outside during my stay, and I'm not sure my feet ever warmed up. Then again, I don't see a lot of 22 degree nights, so maybe that's just a way of life. Unfortunately, my stay was so brief that I did not have the pleasure of taking advantage of the "breakfast" portion of the bed & breakfast. Like a zombie, I woke up in the morning, and was a ghost before breakfast was available. I almost forgot the best part - the world's most delicious mints are available at the check-in counter. Please continue having those until the end of time.

Yelp
Will definitely be back to stay again! It was beautiful older rustic type scene that was up to date clean and beautiful! Everything is kept neatly and you feel at home.. Anton had fruits, pastries, cake and juices ready to snack on while we waited on our freshly cooked breakfast! (Which was fabulous) I would recommend this place to everyone!! It's a nice quiet place to get away and enjoy a beautiful town! I can not say enough great things about this place!!!

Yelp
Absolutely recommend this place for a nice visit to Lexington! The owner and innkeeper was so warm and kind, and happy to give us suggestions on great things to do and places to see around Lexington. Breakfast (sundried tomato frittata, bacon, muffins and breads, etc.) was delicious. The location was the biggest perk for me--we parked our car on Friday afternoon, and didn't move it until we left at the end of the weekend. It's an easy walk to multiple neighborhoods, restaurants, breweries, and distilleries.

Yelp
AMAZING SPECTACULAR BEST TRAVEL EXPERIENCE EVER I have never been happier or more ecstatic to write the first review of a place. Anton, the inn keeper here, is fantastic, and so incredibly accommodating. The slogan here of having southern hospitality at its finest is definitely true. My boyfriend and I have never felt more warmly welcome. There is parking here, leading to the backyard and steps up to this almost magical old victorian style house, completely made of brick. There are only a few rooms in this bed and breakfast, but each one is named after something famous in Lexington--Shaker Suite (our room) named after the Shaker Village, and the Keeneland Room named after the famous racetrack there for examples. The whole B&B is gorgeous inside. Everything is clean and neat and just makes you feel at home, especially in comparison to any hotel you may have stayed in. Anton escorts you to your room, and there is a TV and cable and DVD player in each room and your own bathroom, and he even is nice enough to have a selection of DVDs for you to borrow. The rooms are nice in size, and there is free wireless, and free snacks and drinks throughout the day. The bedrooms have enough closet and drawer space too for your clothes, and good sized bathrooms, and everything everywhere is decorated nicely, all with the old Victorian feel. Classic, just classic. We stayed here for Valentine's day so there was a room special complete with roses a gift certificate for dinner and a bottle of champagne, and breakfast in bed!! It was perfect. Everything about it. Anton is a great chef and we stayed here two nights and each day that breakfast he made was the best start to our day complete with blueberry pancakes, bacon, biscuits, fruit, coffee, tea, orange juice, hash browns, eggs, pastries......wow, just wow. It is a social place as well, and everyone else who stayed here (they were there for a family reunion) and they were all very nice and talkative, and that is how a bed and breakfast should be. I could not have stayed in a better location--near downtown, within walking distance to plenty of places...And with the best inn keeper ever. He even was nice enough to drive us to the airport at the end of our visit!!! Honestly, staying at this bed and breakfast was the highlight of my trip to lexington, and if I ever go back and if any of you go to visit, this should be your number one destination. THANKS, ANTON!!!!

Yelp
I was a bit hesitant at first about the Lyndon House. I had to drive through a pretty shady neighborhood to get to the property, however once I arrived I was pleasantly surprised! The B&B is located a short walk from downtown Lexington, and is close to both the convention center and the university. Had the weather not been so cold while I was there I really would have ventured out to see the area. All that being said, my stay was fantastic. Anton made my entire family (all 17 of us!) feel incredibly welcome, and the house itself is not only beautiful, but spacious. I stayed in the only room on the third floor, which left me with alot of privacy - which was nice from time to time after being around all that family! There are seven rooms total and a variety of areas downstairs, including a really cute sun room - so there's plenty of places to lounge. Breakfast each morning was served on our schedule, which was nice because most of us are not early risers - and there was plenty of choices, and lots of hot tea (which was important to me because I came down with a cold while I was there). I would definitely try the Lyndon House again, in warmer temperatures so that I could really sightsee in and around Lexington.

Yelp
Our stay was great here. We had to leave before breakfast for a trip to Columbus, but Anton was already up and was really kind to cook us some really tasty mushrooms and eggs. Thanks again!

Yelp
Please see photos. I had decided to not post anymore comments on this property after getting a refund for our stay but after reading the attack on me by the owner of this property on another review site chose to make sure I justifiably demonized" this property on every media source I can find. They say a picture speaks 1000 words so see my 9 pics please. I posted photos of our stay at this property showing the properties blatant neglect to only be attacked personally by the owner saying i'm a unhappy person. I write tons of wonderful reviews but sadly this property is the worst B&B I have ever stayed in. I am a very happy person but I will not stand for being victimized with an experience such as this. Once again all corroborated by the photos. Pay close attention to the one of the window seal outside our bathroom. From no one being at the property upon our arrival or for the whole first day to the neighborhood being homeless street wanderers and scary this place reeks of Bates motel. Speaking of reeks. The room had a musty smell as well as the bed. The A/C didn't work and The reply I receive to that is I could not operate the thermostat properly. I own a multi million dollar air conditioning company and I know how to use thermostats. I guess I didn't know how to screw the faucet back onto the tub either as When we arrived it was laying on the back of the toilet. Parking is in the alley and the neighborhood is a homeless haven. We were approached numerous times during our stay. Refund or not the experience was terrible and my time away from work I desire to be extremely enjoyable at places which will leave wonderful memories in my head and not a nightmare to recall. I like spending money on high end B&Bs and in fact pay as much as one thousand a night for wow experiences. This one was definitely a wow. again look at photos. Glad to see other people are reading my reviews on this property on other sites. I've attached a photo of that report from another site as well. I established this yelp account today for this reason but plan on using it as a tool in the future as well.

Yelp
We definitely would recommend this Bed and Breakfast. Our room was lovely, comfortable and spacious. The innkeeper cooked and served us breakfast on both mornings. The food was amazing and kept us full all day long!! He was also very helpful with any information we sought. The house is gorgeous and very well kept. It is walking distance to downtown which is very nice because it is very difficult to find parking downtown! We would definitely stay at The Lyndon House again if we were in Lexington again.

Yelp
I highly recommend this beautiful, comfortable getaway in downtown Lexington, and only a 15 minute walk from Rupp Arena and restaurants downtown. The breakfast was delicious, it was very clean and the nicest B&B I've ever been to. It is in a historic district with other lovely, old houses surrounding it.

Yelp
A lovely inn in the heart of Lexington. Breakfasts were a treat, the accommodations were lovely, and the inn keeper was pleasant and knowledgeable about the area. Relaxing and wonderful. Would, no WILL, recommend to my friends and family when in the area.

Yelp
I was in town for a conference at UK and I spent a lovely two nights in the Belle Breezing room. This was without doubt, one of the best B&B bedrooms I've ever stayed in -- spacious, lovely natural light, warm carpeting, an absurdly comfortable bed, and cozy furnishings. It was quiet and I slept incredibly well after a full 18 hours of travel. Anton was incredibly friendly (and talkative if that's your thing). The location is great and walkable to West Sixth Brewing where I enjoyed a couple of decent local brews, fish and chips, and beer slaw. It's also just a short few minute drive to the UK campus area and downtown. A few reasons why I'm hesitant to provide a 5 star review: I had a rather late arrival and wasn't able to talk to the owner about breakfast time -- served from 8-10 and I was up and about by 6:30, ready to procure some hot water and a mug for the coffee I had brought and hopefully, grab a quick bite to eat before my long morning. We eventually managed to get the coffee going but I was wandering around the kitchen feeling awkward looking for a way to boil some water and had to rush out without any food. Second, the bathroom was a bit small and awkward -- somehow a half used bottle of Jergens lotion and other random half used toiletries made me feel a bit like I was crashing in a stranger's apartment rather than the beautiful house that it was. Lastly, the parking lot in back was sufficient enough but small and the spaces tight for a SUV. I wondered what it would be like if the house was full and crowded. Small complaints aside, highly recommended (especially at the pre-high season price I received) and I will certainly stay there again if I'm passing through Lexington.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Lyndon House during our Trip to Lexington and we have amazing experience. The building itself is gorgeous. Restored gorgeously and taken care of quite well. We stayed in the bluegrass suite and I couldn't have asked for a better room. The breakfast in the morning was also delicious. He starts off offering fruit, biscuits, pastries, coffee, and juice. You then have an option of eggs, meat, or french toast, and then a daily special. We had the special both days, a play on eggs benedict one day and cinnamon pancakes the next. Location is great as well. We would both highly recommend Lyndon house and would stay there again if we go back.

Yelp
We were excited to book a room in the Lyndon House for the holidays, which are 5 months away. A couple weeks after booking the room we found out that more of our family would be joining us and we determined that we would need an apartment. We called the first week of August to cancel and left a message. A short time later I got an email stating that I was being charged $25 and that this was standard policy. This policy is not stated anywhere on the reservation form. They do have a clause about their cancellation policy on "special dates" and I called and spoke to someone prior to making the reservation to ask if Christmas is considered a "special date" and was told it was not. I was never told that any cancelation would result in a $25 charge. There is no way an August cancellation of a December reservation has any impact on the hotel.

Yelp
This was disappointing from beginning to end. Little service, tired furnishings, snacks you had to pay for and the final blow - NO BREAKFAST at 8:00 a.m. - or 9:00 a.m. Someone finally showed up around 9:30 a.m. with a "I just couldn't get out of bed."

Yelp
I stayed at the Lyndon House the weekend of April 25-27. Checked in with costume jewelry...and expensive jewelry. On Saturday, noticed that my good jewelry was missing. A custom gold/diamond piece, designed by me, of my late husbands ring...was missing. Along with a pair of earrings. After speaking with Anton and his "wife"...and literally, getting chuckled at...no action. I did not want anything but my jewelry returned. I filed a police report with the Lexington Police Department...right. Long gone. Someone, with access to our room stole jewelry that cannot be replaced from my luggage. BE WARNED. Do not leave valuables in your room at this place. I have traveled the world with my jewelry...took a trip to Lyndon House to lose it.

Yelp
Great place to stay! The owner was very helpful! The building and rooms are excellent The breakfast was delish and very generous

Yelp
I made an online reservation through the Lyndon House website at the beginning of November for a stay in mid December and received an email confirmation. Almost 3 weeks after reserving the room, I received an email from the innkeeper informing me the first confirmation only included one night and a new confirmation was included (double the cost of the first confirmation). When I questioned Mr. Giovanetto about the change, he stated "When I reviewed your reservation today, I discovered that the computer only processed a rate for one night and spilt it in two to match a two night reservation. The suite your reserved is $249.00 a night, not $124.50. If you still wish is stay with us, I will take 10% off whatever room that suits you." When I replied stating I had a confirmation for my reservation with the primary rate and requested he uphold the rate in the interest of customer service, I then received an Advanced Cancellation notice. Mr. Giovanetto refused to uphold the confimed rate and ignored customer service. This reveals a lot about this establishment and his business practice. Beware when booking.
