We had a 2 night stay in a Sky Suite. The whole experience was exceptional from the moment we arrived. Staff went over and above to assist, were so welcoming and made us feel very welcome and special. We left feeling like friends ❤️. The Sky Suite was amazing with stunning views and incredible viewing of aurora one night. Most comfortable bed ever and private jacuzzi with a view a delight! Dinners were a highlight and the chef Carlos cooks with love. Memorable dining experience! We loved the whole place. It was intimate with really personal service. Yes it’s expensive but if you can afford it, just do it. We have no regrets and memories to cherish.

Gorgeously remote hotel, can't have a bad view. Sea, mountains, sheep by day. And if you're lucky, northern lights at night. Staff were wonderful. Food: breakfast buffet and dinner set menu (vegetarian available). Standout meal was cured halibut first course, short rib main with caramel fondant dessert. We didn't try their lunch. Tried local gin liquor (aquavit) and cloudberry jam. Rooms: igloo room was cozy and warm (AC also available). Beds could separately be adjusted into lounge chairs which was fantastic for stars and northern lights Logistics: flew into Tromso, bussed to city center, took 3hr bus ride to hotel pick up and short drive to hotel. Gorgeous views along the drive. Limited bus service between Tromso and Lyngen. Plan accordingly. With the nice weather I think we could have rented a car.

Stayed at the 180° igloo, 2nd row. Great place to stay to be by the water, mountains and chance to catch the auroras! Being in the second row did not feel like a disadvantage for the views in any way. You're set higher up so still have a fantastic view. The aurora alarm was super helpful though we weren't lucky enough to have clear views through the clouds. The staff were all extremely polite and helpful. The rooms were on the smaller side (as expected) but well equipped with essentials and warm! You can bring your own food and drinks as well as there is a fridge to use. Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were both delicious and very filling. Dinner was a pre-set 3 course meal. I've never seen such a large duck breast before!

We had a wonderful stay at Lyngen North. The location by the Lyngen fjords is beautiful. The Sky Suite was luxurious, and designed to maximise the gorgeous views. The private jacuzzi was amazing especially in cold weather. Most importantly, the Aurora alarm worked! The staff were great and they were most polite and helpful. Marianne, in particular, gave us great advice on the Aurora and places to visit when we were there. We had the half board with breakfast and dinner and the meals were excellent and clearly prepared with passion. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Staying at Lyngen North was a highlight of our trip to Norway. The location is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and the food is beautifully presented and so delicious. We booked our stay there because of their aurora wake up alarm, and we were not disappointed. The alarm worked without a problem and we were able to sleep knowing that we would not miss out on the aurora if the cloud cover cleared. It woke us up all 3 nights of our stay and we were treated to a spectacular show. We highly recommend choosing Lyngen North for your stay in the Arctic Circle.

This was a bucket list adventure to see the northern lights. Lyngen North AS provided so much more. The accommodations, the service and the great people we met were wonderful. Marianne (sp), Daniel and Chris were especially welcoming and friendly. We kayaked in the fjord, bike along the roads and visited an old World War II fort. The food was spectacular!! And of course we saw the northern lights both inside the igloo and outside and both times were awe inspiring. I can’t say enough about the time we spent here. This will always remain a cherished memory. If you want to fulfill a dream there’s no better place than Lyngen North AS.

My wife and I booked for our 10 year anniversary trip to see the northern lights. Little did we know that we would do just that but also get to experience some of the best food and service we have ever received anywhere. This place has it all, multiple styles of rooms to fit your needs, top tier service, amazing food, activities on-site and not so far away such as sauna, hot tub, biking, hiking, etc. cannot recommend enough! Thank you to everyone that made our trip to Norway complete.

I came with friends and we booked 3 different rooms. Marianne was easy to communicate with online and helpful. Check in procedure was casual and brief. Leon our waiter and the Chef were fantastic and went above and beyond. Our 3 course dinner was great but we missed the breakfast due to an early departure (the Chef packed us all a breakfast box to go). Would recommend this unique stay, we all enjoyed our visit. However, our group agreed there's room for improvement with check in service & room cleaning as expressed directly with Lyngen North.
