I came with friends and we booked 3 different rooms. Marianne was easy to communicate with online and helpful. Check in procedure was casual and brief. Leon our waiter and the Chef were fantastic and went above and beyond. Our 3 course dinner was great but we missed the breakfast due to an early departure (the Chef packed us all a breakfast box to go). Would recommend this unique stay, we all enjoyed our visit. However, our group agreed there's room for improvement with check in service & room cleaning as expressed directly with Lyngen North.

We had a wonderful week at Lyngen North. We were able to unplug and relax. The sky suite was beautiful. We made use of the hot tub daily which was private and accessed right out the bathroom. The bathroom was very spacious - with heated floors - very important as we brought in a bit of water from the hot tub. There was also a towel warmer which came in handy for drying our suits. Only negative to the room is no real place to unpack - so lived out of suitcases the 5 nights we were there. || The lounge chairs in the room were fantastic - perfect to sit and gaze out at the fjord and mountains or sit and read. Chef Carlos' lunches and dinners were absolutely divine, as was the selection of beer, wine and drinks. Made the mistake of thinking it was all inclusive - but quickly realized that drinks are not included - so plan accordingly! Would have liked a curtain to cover the ceiling as the sun was up quite early - luckily had an eye mask from the plane. Also something to consider if traveling there during the summer and the "endless sun". Overall the staff was wonderful, very welcoming. Food was great - views were absolutely stunning. We did two excursions - snowmobiling and dog sledding. Enjoyed both - but dogs were certainly a highlight.

Lyngen North is an absolute gem of a hotel with 28 guests at full capacity. The hotel price includes the Arctic Route Bus which departs on the dot at 9am inside the Prostneset Bus, Boat & Hurtigruten Terminal right in the city centre. The trip is about 3 hours from Tromsø. The hotel has 180-degree and 360-degree glass igloos, stand-alone huts for up to four people, and stunning rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows in the main building. All igloos are right on the water’s edge, except for a solitary 180 degree igloo in the second row—where we stayed. Initially, we were concerned about privacy, but the thoughtful blind system (which pulls from the bottom up) allowed us to enjoy the views from our bed without being visible to others. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The rooms were well-appointed and comfortable, though it’s worth noting that there are no kettles—only a coffee and tea machine. And if you are worried about missing the Northern Lights, all the wall lights in the facility turn green when they are detected so it's hard to miss. The biggest surprise? The food! Each night, we were treated to delicious local meals made from fresh regional ingredients. Every dish was flavorful and well-prepared, making dinner something we genuinely looked forward to. The fact that both breakfast and dinner were included in the price was a huge plus.

Lyngen North is definitely the place to go if you want beauty yet serene. The 180 degree glass igloos are great as one has an unobstructed view of the fjord, mountains and, of course, the Northern Lights. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful! The food is delicious and our reservation included both the morning and evening meals (which was enough food for a day). We took the Arctic Route bus which made the drive from Tromso stress free and beautiful. The excursions offered were lots of fun too. My husband and I got lots of reading done while sitting in our igloo or the lounge area sneaking peaks of the stunning views. We were able to see dolphins and seals in the fjord. We loved our stay and would definitely come back!

We stayed two nights in a 360-degree igloo. Very comfortable and cosy. The meals were delicious but don't get to breakfast too late or you will miss out on the best pastries. The excursions and bus from Tromso were seamlessly organised by Lyngen North. Above all Lyngen North was a fantastic vantage point to watch the northern lights which were spectacular.

Gorgeous location. Well maintained facilities. Friendly staff. Daniel and Marianne, the owners, were most helpful and accommodating. We stayed in a 360’ igloo. It was cozy and we briefly saw the northern lights despite almost continuous clouds and snow. Occasionally the clouds would part and you could see the mountains in all their splendor. Dogsledding and snowshoeing in deep powdery snow were a real highlight. Breakfast was hearty and dinner very nice.

Fantastic view and surroundings from igloo! A perfect place to stay when exploring the Lyngen alps, and to heal body and mind. The dinner was among the best we've had. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely sauna after sea-/snowbathe.

We stayed in a 180 degree igloo and the accommodations were nicer than many hotels I have been in. The bathroom was large with a full size shower and the views were breathtaking. Everyone at the lodge is super friendly and nice and the food was excellent. My only complaint was that there was no alarm in the igloo to alert me to the Northern Lights -- ended up being irrelevant as it snowed every night but I still thing it should be added.
