One of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had , Sleeping in an igloo surrounded by snow with the beach right in front of you was unforgettable. The igloo was spacious very warm and comfortable with a hot and convenient shower. I loved the aurora alarm in the room it alerts you when there’s a chance to see the Northern Lights. The staff were incredibly friendly and supportive. Due to the weather we only tried husky sledding but it was an amazing experience. Breakfast was simple but good and the dinner set menus were delicious every day. A small tip: come for the experience and vibes not only for the aurora as sightings depend on weather. We were lucky to see it on our first night.

We had an amazing stay at Lyngen North Hotel. Everything was excellent, from the stunning location to the overall comfort of the hotel. We stayed in the Polaris Sky Suite, which was absolutely beautiful , cozy, perfectly designed, and with unforgettable views. What really made the difference was the team. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. We felt truly welcomed and well looked after throughout our stay. A wonderful experience that we will remember for a long time. Highly recommended.

Amazing stay at Lyngen North! Visited for my 30th birthday and had the best time! We stayed in one of the igloos which were gorgeous and right on the fjords. We were lucky enough to see the aurora both nights (they were out all night!!) and could hardly sleep because we couldn't stop watching them! All the staff were really friendly and accommodating and you can tell they go the extra mile to give people the best experience. Special shout out to Christian, Chris, Luis, Ola & the general manager but everyone else was brilliant too. Super easy to get to from Tromso as the hotel books you onto the artic bus and organises transport which is included in the price of the stay. Some meals are also included too which were delicious. We also did the whale watching tour and the dog sledding which were really small group tours and felt very personalised Highly recommend this place!! Thanks so much for having us :)

This place is absolutely amazing! We stayed in a 180 degree igloo. We got one in the second row. I would have preferred first row, but second row was still amazing! If you are concerned with a small bathroom, relatively small rooms or walking through the elements to get to the main restaurant/lounge the sky suites may be a better pick. But the igloo was a must for us. And all the rooms have heated floors and an aurora alarm that you can set if you want to be notified of the Northern Lights being visible (which is so cool). We did the dog sledding, snowmobiling, and snow shoeing tours. I would very highly recommend the dog sledding tour. It was epic! You get amazing views while on the snowmobile tour, but don’t get to drive them yourself (except for a couple minutes at a slow speed). The snow shoeing tour was nice, but you can actually just borrow the snow shoes and cruise around on your own if you prefer. I have seen other reviews mention the quality of the meals, even saying that they are Michelin star equivalent. I cannot agree more! The entire experience was absolutely amazing! I would recommend it to anyone!

Book this hotel now! Everything was incredible from the igloo, northern lights, activities, and service. We stayed in the 360 igloo and it was impeccable. We saw amazing northern lights right from our room. The restaurant and lounge are super nice! Dog sledding and snowmobile activities are a must. Highly recommend!

This resort is lovely and secluded with a friendly and helpful international staff. Lyngen North is located on the coast of the Lyngen fjord with a spectacular view of the mountains. The igloos book up quickly. Consequently, I stayed in a sea cabin, which is a more rustic accommodation than the igloos or the sky cabins. The hotel arranges transport from Tromsø via the Arctic Route, which is a public bus with a luxury coach feel because it has a toilet, WiFi, and charging ports on board. The three hour drive from Tromsø takes you directly to the front door of the resort. A sea cabin is appropriate for families because it has two bedrooms and five single beds. The amenities are simple- a pair of slippers, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. One of the highlights of the sea cabin is a sauna in the bathroom! There is also a full kitchen (refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave), so if you are traveling with small children that need more frequent meals or snacks, preparation is easy. There’s also a capsule coffee maker in the kitchen for hot drink preparation. Both the breakfast buffet and dinner were included in the booking. The dinner was a three fine dining experience. Lunch is at your own expense, and the menu is somewhat limited, but the fish soup is delicious! You can participate in activities like dog sledding and snowmobiling on both the days of your departure and arrival. Activities are run by experienced local guides who make the effort to curate a wonderful experience for the guests. Each room is equipped with a speaker that announces when the northern lights are visible. Thanks to this system, I was able to see them my very first night, which was the goal of my trip! It was a wonderful, highly recommend, Arctic experience!

An experience I’ll never forget|Staying at Lyngen North was honestly one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. The location alone is unreal surrounded by mountains, fjords, snow, and complete silence. It feels remote in the best possible way, like you’re truly in the Arctic.|What really made the difference, though, were the people. Cristian was absolutely amazing. Always helpful, attentive, and genuinely kind. You can tell he truly cares about the guests and about making sure everything runs smoothly. He was always there when we needed something and made us feel very welcome from day one.|I also want to highlight the work of the General Manager. The place is incredibly well run everything feels organized, calm, and thoughtful. That level of leadership shows in every detail, from the activities to the atmosphere of the lodge.|The cabins are cozy and comfortable, the food is unique and great, and the activities are unforgettable. Watching the Northern Lights from such a peaceful place is something I’ll carry with me forever.|If you’re thinking about coming here, don’t hesitate. Lyngen North is special, and I would 100% come back.

Super high end luxury, this place is amazing! From the Michelin star restaurant quality food to watching the Northern lights from the sauna; Sitting in the lovely hot tub to snowmobiling in the nearby mountains, every minute is a treat. We stayed in the sky suite which again is very well specified - you can even set an Aurora alarm. It all feels very VIP and boutique with only a handful of rooms. Take someone you love. Literally can’t recommend enough.
