The hotel has a very stylish and boutique feel. The furniture in the room is old style as well as the drapery. A lot different from the chain hotel vibe but in a very good way. Hotel is close by to coffee and breakfast cafes as well as a few seafood restaurants. The hotel itself also has a very good restaurant and bar which when I visited was full of customers so you know the food must be good. Check-in took longer than usual but did have a nice chat with the desk officer. Highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a different feel than the chain hotel.

We rented the one cottage they have for three nights. It has two bedrooms, so we were able to split the cost with friends we were traveling with. Decent decor but they could get rid of the creepy decorations on the bedroom walls. Plenty of room and all the dishes needed for meals. Garbage can in the kitchen smelled like smoke. The front door lock was sticky and difficult. Beds comfortable and good shower. Cottage is convenient to the Inn's restaurant and the local grocery store.

We had a delightful stay at the Lynwood Inn in Baddeck, where the charm of the place was only outdone by the fantastic staff. Suite Room 1 was huge, with vintage decor that gave it a cozy, old-timey feel. The location was perfect, but the real stars were the people working there. Every time we walked in or out, someone was there holding the door like it was a royal entrance! The front desk staff was incredibly helpful, patiently answering all our questions and even making change for us. Their recommendations for things to do were spot on. Overall, a lovely, welcoming spot we’d happily visit again!

The Inn is beautiful, however the furniture in the cottage is old antiques. The door to the bedroom wouldn't open properly, scraping on the floor. Smoke detector was very sensitive, cooking bacon and eggs would set off the alarm. I would rate this location as three star ⭐.

There is no view here. The biggest rooms face the busy street. The first thing I noticed when entering the room was the musty odour. Definitely the carpet should have been removed a long time ago especially in these times (Sep 2024). The coffee left in the room is horrible including the whitener, I think the term dish water applies here. The whole Inn is depressing especially the dinner music. You can keep the heritage in a more appealing way. The grounds & had me are special . . . that's it! I get it they are maritime artists but it was way over done. I had the fish & chips. The batter was brown & bordering on burnt making the haddock dry. Both the fish & fries were overly saturated with oil making it seem heavy and unappetizing. My friend had the neptune supreme which was ok and for the ridiculous prices of the food the taste was only average at best. The server had to run around like a chicken with her head cut off and I didn't appreciate having other hotel staff helping out. They were not prepared for 4 busy tables. I did not get the sense of maritime hospitality I am used to. There are stairs to consider when staying here. You can park at the back lot and bring your suitcases in to the first floor ramp otherwise you are your own bellhop. Overall I felt this company is operating on fumes with the cheap pictures repeated over and over throughout the inn. I will say whomever does the exterior painting at least knows how to keep their work clean & tidy. Photos later.

Our two-night stay at Lynwood Inn was absolutely magical! The rooms are beautifully decorated in a charming British style, making them incredibly cozy and comfortable. Everything, including the bathroom, was impeccably clean and inviting. The restaurant at the inn is, without a doubt, the best in town. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner there, and every meal was a delight. The service is top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff, and the food is simply delicious with portions that are more than generous. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making every dining experience special. Lynwood Inn is not just a place to stay; it's a destination in itself. A must-stay for anyone visiting Baddeck, and the food is a must-try as well!

The cleanest place we ever stayed. It was absolutely beautiful to have the whole cottage to ourselves and everything you needed was provided. It was like staying at grandmas house - so cute and charming. They had coffee, big barbecue, lots of dishes etc.

Everything about this place was absolutely amazing except for the morning receptionist. She saw me walking in, I said ‘Hi’ she didn’t respond. So I said ‘Hello’. She kept on starting at me and asked ‘Checking out?’. That was so rude and such rude people should not be a receptionist. I was about to start a 7 hour drive and her behaviour ruined my day because most of the time I was thinking about her behaviour.
