Hygge atmosphere in a truly beautiful place. The staff were very kind and polite. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve had, with great selection. However, the room was not heated properly. The pool/gym/sauna close at 10:30pm.

A lovely setting and set of facilities. The welcome and help provided by Kit on arrival in reception and throughout the stay was brilliant. He made everything really enjoyable for us including where to walk and take time to visit. Would recommend highly.

The facilities were top-notch—the pool was a great place to relax, and the large sauna was a perfect touch for unwinding. The hotel's grounds were stunning, offering a peaceful and picturesque setting that truly enhances the experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway.

If you ever go to Oslo, do yourself a favour and stay in this hotel. It's probably the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The room was super nice, cosy and clean and the surroundings were quiet and beautiful. The staff was also super friendly and very welcoming and gave us a tour and told the history of the place. The hotel has a nice pool with a sauna and several nooks and places where you can hang out and relax. Me and my family felt extremely comfortable. My only regret is that we only stayed one night. The breakfast was great and had everything I could want. Safe to say this wasn't my last stay at this gem of a hotel.

We stayed here for only one night but wished we stayed longer. We were warmly welcomed by Kit who proved to be an amazing host for our whole stay. He showed us around the "stabbur" and also the garden and bee boxes. The hotel is lined with fantastic art and our room even had an "Inger Setter". Breakfast was great and the whole experience was fantastic. Sauna and pool were a great plus! Highly recommended.

Lysebu is more than just a hotel…|Its historic atmosphere and elegant architecture are truly captivating. The staff were incredibly warm, respectful, and welcoming — we felt genuinely cared for. Every detail was thoughtful and beautifully arranged. A peaceful and memorable stay from start to finish. Thank you, Lysebu team — you truly deserve all the praise!

Wonderful breakfast experience! The food was delicious and beautifully served. Tatjana provided outstanding service—she even offered us a table with a fantastic view. Many thanks to her for making our morning so special!

Hotel is nice, but the service is horrendous, especially at breakfast.||||I have experienced better breakfast organisation in hotels and 2 star hotels.||||Breakfast buffet was empty of everything and guests were waiting in line to get plates, bread and tea. ||Vegetables were not filled during the whole time we were in the dining area.||Guests were discussing among themselves the poor service and trying to explain to waitress that the buffet should be filled up.||||Real shame for the 5 star hotel, as Lyseby would like to present itself. ||||Definitely not recommended if you would like to have a frustrating start of the day.

The most beautiful hotel in oslo! The view from up there is fantastic. We were for dinner in the restaurant. The food was great. The breakfast is very versatile. The staff is very nice. The children loved the pool. We were already two times in this hotel and gladly come again!
