The evening entertainment is fantastic. Buffets are great (we weren't actually aware at the hotel is buffet only even the two restaurants you have to book our buffet). The Chinese restaurant was one of the best Chinese I've had. Yes, the pools were a little bit chilly but with the option of the heated Olympic pool and heated indoor pool when it was a bit cloudy there's always an opportunity to swim. The place is very clean and tidy. |We had we added extra of the little private pool not really necessary as it's a bit too cold to actually use but a novelty for the kids to jump in a couple of times. The blue bar is the place to get a nice coffee or an espresso martini for that matter. The bar staff are fantastic and really yummy Cocktails.

We went to Lyttos Beach hotel in the last week of October and had a lovely time. ||Room Location: We overlooked the Olympic swimming pool on the top floor, it was fairly quiet and had a lovely view. During our stay swimming clubs used the pool everyday, so you do get to hear people swimming from 7 am to 7 pm every day. I would recommend these rooms as the view was OK and was pretty quiet but was located close to most things.||Sports facilities: This was a big plus for this hotel, as it has a free gym and indoor pool. A mixture of tennis courts that you had hire (20 euros for an hour and another 7 euro's for tennis rackets). They also do free table tennis there as well. ||Food: All restaurants were buffet style and can be fairly busy depending on when you go. For me the food was the biggest letdown for this hotel. The food from the grills was nice but the deserts were fairly bland and the food in the hot plates wasn't very appealing. It also got a bit boring by the end of the stay. ||Pools: The swimming pools were cold but it was OK once you were in and swimming around. We didn't need wet suites at all. The water slides were really good and caters for a lot of different ages along with the splash towers. We used most of the pools and the main pool was the one we generally liked the most. It also backs onto the beach where there was also a large number of sunbeds.||Drinks: Most of the liquor that was being given was brand labels. If you want other drinks apart from cocktails it's self service, which seemed to work well and we never had any issues. ||Sunbeds: We never had any issues getting sunbeds at any of the pools during our stay. I think this helps that a lot of the rooms can be taken up by the swimming clubs that were staying there for winter training. ||Play areas: The play area near the hotel entrance was large and had a lot of climbing things to do, it's also where the kids clubs are||Things to watch out for: The only think I would watch out for is the rooms near the thalassa snack bar seemed to be a bit smoky with the extractor fans.

I visited this hotel with my wife and 2 boys (7&9) for the half term week in October 2025. ||The hotel is nice and we had a good time, but I don’t think it’s a 5 star hotel. It’s very much a 4 star at best. ||The hotel is a bit dated and could do with a revamp. We had light switches not working in our room as well as damage to fixtures and fittings. ||We had a family sea view room (room 809). It was ok, but a bit on the small side. If you have 4 suitcases there aren’t many places to store them. ||The food was pretty good! A nice selection to choose from. Beer and wine also really nice. Good selection of restaurants to explore. ||The hotel is very big and the pools are excellent! The waterpark was great fun but the kids got bored of it after a couple of days as there aren’t many slides. ||Beautiful beach to the front with an all inclusive beach bar available. Lots of sun beds, never an issue finding one! If you like the sea, go snorkelling. The fish were beautiful! If you find a silver Oura wedding ring in there… it’s mine :-(||Evening entertainment was really good! Staff were so friendly! Always making sure we were ok! The shows were really high end! ||This isn’t the hotels fault but the hotel isn’t really close to anything. You can’t walk to the local town to look around. That’s my fault for not researching properly. ||We went into Heraklion in the taxi, but that cost us €100 return! ||Sports club is really nice, didn’t really use it other than to watch Newcastle United play. It’s worth noting the bar there isn’t part of all inclusive. You have to pay for everything. ||The holiday didn’t end great. On the last day, the cleaners accidentally put my son’s teddy (which he’s had from birth) in with the dirty sheets. This was then sent off to an external site to be cleaned. Despite several requests to staff to find the teddy, they appeared quite relaxed, almost horizontal in their approach…. No apology and no offer to get another teddy for my son (not that he’s replaceable). We understood it was a mistake, but they could have been more compassionate. Our son was distraught. ||In summary, we did have a good time, but I feel for the price, we expected a better level of hotel. ||If you’ve booked already, I’m sure you’ll have the best time. ||For us, we probably wouldn’t go back, but that’s more about the location than anything else.

Had a fantastic time here. It is a big hotel, maybe 2000 when full, but only about 600 guests when we were there, so felt calm, relaxed and spacious. Loads of pools, but as others state only the Olympic size outdoor pool is heated and it was largely in use for serious swimmers whilst we were there. Other pools are lovely, but perhaps a bit on the cold side for kids at the end of October as the days are cooler. Water slides were largely empty and we had a lot of fun on them. Indoor pool too if you want it. Weather was great mid twenties and sunny except for one warm but cloudy day. Sun loungers were great, big comfy and padded with umbrellas, some are like four poster beds. No problem getting them whilst we were there, probably harder mid season. I think there were 6 restaurants and snacks bars. The food really was excellent. It is catering on mass, but the choice was great and everything tasted delicious, it really did. You really could eat and drink all day, it was gluttonous. Didn't manage to go to the fish restaurant, because it closed mid way through our week, which was a shame. The grill restaurant meat was fantastic. The Asian restaurant was ok, but not anazing. The fish restaurant did stir fry whist you wait at lunch and that was excellent. Loads of choice of breads in the main restaurant all really good. Loved the Greek yoghurt bowls they made up whilst you wait at breakfast. The drinks were fine, local beer on tap and a mix of local and branded spirits, they don't scrimp on the amount of alcohol in the cocktails, if anything there is too much booze in them. Only downer, the apple juice was not very nice, because it was on tap and from concentrate. Great entertainment, but it winds up a bit at end of October. Good kids play area with free mini golf club, but not enough clubs or balls, because people are trusted to return them after playing, but don't, so all the balls go missing. Really good tennis complex attached to the hotel. Shops on site, for groceries, beachware and souvenirs. Big pool bar and main bar and couple of beach bars, which were closed for much of our stay. Beach is fine, nothing special, a long sandy strip, not beautiful, but nice enough. Sea can be rough and waves were up for much of our week, but when it is calm, it is crystal clear and lovely to swim or snorkel in. At least as warm as the pools at the end of October. Rooms were modern, very well appointed and door separating you from the kids, with two bathrooms, although not hugely spacious. Loads of sockets, TV in both sleeping areas, fridge, safe, tea, coffee free water and local soft drinks. All very good. Serviced everyday. Show sport on big screens in main bar. Can use pool of sister hotel next door. I don't go back to places as a general rule, like variety, but I would have absolutely no reservations about returning to this hotel. Top tip, if you hire a car, hire from one of the local rental companies, significantly cheaper than the rental within the hotel. Voulisma is a lovely beach about 45 mins drive east. Knossos is a pile of rubble, not worth the trip unless Greek mythology really interests you. You can do various watersports from the beach, jet skis, paragliding, banana boat etc, but they close end of October. Hersonissos is quite lively, but a bit naff. Enjoy!

Very good selection of food, lots of healthy choices. I can't confirm any negative reviews on food. Comparing to other all inclusive hotels in South Europe I can say food is excellent Clean rooms, enough space. Green and beautiful in the surroundings. Evening show is of a good quality especially acrobatics team ❤️

To begin with, it is unlikely that you wouldn't enjoy your stay here, however for us there were some elements that were missing. The location is beach front and a bus stop is close by for local transport links. You can also walk to local bars and souvenir shops. The pool access (although not as great as advertised as we could not really access the large heated outdoor pool as it was booked by swim clubs) was great, albeit the pools were chilly which limited to quicker dips, easy to find space and did not feel too busy. However this feeling totally changed when accessing the bars - there was generally always a queue of 5 deep at the one open beach bar (the other was closed - @!_ this was only open day time -seasonal?!?) the in the evening the two bars were packed and seating was difficult to find and had four queues, again 5 deep for drinks, the pool bar has a self service for soft drinks but sometimes it took so long ot the queues were just too much we just went back to the rooms. |Staff were friendly and everything looked clean and well kept. |The food was really average - even the booked restaurants were just average buffets (two exceptions: breakfast and the fish restaurant- lovely) but food was quite difficult to access for an all inclusive in my opinion. There were limited lunch hours with the main restaurant only being 2 hours and one other being similar. The fast food has much better access times but not really what we were after. There was also no real availability to snack. Outside of the splash park you couldn't get an ice cream without being dry and dressed and going onto a restaurant. One you could take away from but had to be dry (one day there was a mid day ice cream cart but we only saw that once). And say you've been on a trip or popped out to herkalion like we did, arriving back at 4.45 all good places were closed (bar fast food which was 5pm) until they opened for dinner when really we just wanted to grab a snack and a drink. Water was replenished in the rooms daily but not the other soft drinks which made it difficult If you wanted to sit on the the balcony of an evening because the bar had no seats as you would have to pop back down for extra drinks. So pool atmosphere was good, bar not so much, staff friendly, rooms was neat and had lots of storage space, excellent splash park and play park for families. You will enjoy it but it just is missing some simple things to elevate to the level it is advertising.

Highly recommend and the entertainment team were fab. My 7 year old son cried for an hour when we had to leave. The waterpark, pools, activities, food, rooms, hotel services, arcade…. And I can go on! Book and you won’t regret. Only issue which had nothing to do with the resort was the airport queues leaving Crete

Lyttos Beach markets itself as 'Luxury' which it is absolutely not! In general it's fine, but nothing better than 3 star. The sort of hotel where people rush to the pool at 0800 to reserve loungers... Negatives: It's huge and packed. The rooms so tight together with no space at all in between them. Food is really awful, regardless of which restaurant you're in. Service at the bars is terrible, often waiting for 20-25 minutes to get a drink. When you do actually get a drink, they're not very good, with poor house wines and an almost non-existent wine list. Beach is small, not particularly nice and packed full of sun loungers. For a 'Sport Hotel' there are very few courses on offer, and those that they do have are poor. The gym is also pretty rubbish, with limited machines. Lots of communal areas are showing serious signs of wear and tear and need renovating Positives: I think we got one of the better 2-bed rooms, but it was good, although loud at night with people continually walking past. Pools are pretty good, as is the water park. Olympic pool is great, but constantly being used as a training pool by swim teams so very difficult to get lane. Tennis courts are good, but cost 18 euro per hour and are often also booked out. Football pitch is ok. Compared to other luxury resorts like Ikos or Sani, it's a world away in terms of quality and service, also can't compete with brands like Robinson. We've recently stayed in Magic Life and think that is also much better. All in all it was really very disappointing and extremely bad value for money.
