M Chá Bar (Hwy400 & Rutherford)

I visit this store often and today I ordered through Uber Eats. I got the Ultimate Plus Fruit Tea with tapioca. It looked good at first, just like always. But the moment I took a sip, I knew something was wrong. The tapioca tasted burnt. I took another sip just to be sure, then grabbed a fork to check, and sure enough—the tapioca was completely burnt, like they scraped it from the bottom of the pot and served it anyway. At the bottom of the cup, there was even a black, hard, burnt patch. I’m honestly furious. I paid over 22 bucks for this and they couldn’t even bother to check what they were serving. I tried calling the store but no one answered, so here I am leaving this review. This is unacceptable. I’m never ordering from here again.

Stopped by M Cha Bar for a little dessert team session and it turns out we picked a solid spot. I had the White Peach Oolong Milk Tea with Tapioca and was pretty impressed. The tea flavor came through really clearly, and the peach wasn’t just sweet but actually had depth. Everything just blended right without feeling heavy or syrupy. The server was helpful and took the time to walk us through the menu when we couldn't decide what to get. It wasn't too busy when we visited, so the vibe was pretty laid-back and comfortable, which I appreciated. Only reason for knocking off a star was the chairs. They looked fine at first but felt a bit wobbly once we sat down. Nothing major but it did take away from the overall experience just a little. Still, definitely a place I wouldn’t mind coming back to when in the area again.

Enjoyed Green Milk Tea with Osmanthus Jelly on my first visit to M Cha Bar. It was tasty, although the osmanthus jelly flavor was too subtle. There are lovely floral decor and several indoor seats available.

The most hospitable and accommodating store. Staff are super friendly and super professional. The gelatos available are all so good and heavenly. The taro coconut drink is my wife’s favourite.

The seasonal mango drinks are delicious! So far I’ve tried the matcha mango coconut and the pandan mango coconut, both of which were so good. Felt like a drinkable dessert! The store also offers a variety of good ice cream/gelato flavours, which have been pretty good so far as well.

Cozy music, clean environment, and good service. New place for studying in Vaughan.

Chinese bubble tea place that has really good drinks! Their milk teas have a nice balance of milk vs tea flavour. I've tried their no 2 and no 3 best sellers and both were really good! Highly recommend no 3, their toppings is made from the sweet fermented rice drink I love eating growing up. Service is fast and lots of seating available.

Really love the quality of the drinks here! Our staple is usually the mango pomelo but we also tried the pandan cloud with mango (it's a speciality flavour right now) and it was honestly delicious! Service was really quick which was perfect as there's always a small line. There's a decent amount of seating and a unisex bathroom available in the store. Perfect for grab and go or if you wanted to sit and hangout.

They recently introduced Gelato and asian inspired flavours it's really good and very authentic. Highly recommend Matcha or Durian. The workers are okay... they could be faster, nicer, and be more knowledgeable of the menu! the store is very spacious buy one get one scoop of gelato til july 1st

The service is nice and the drinks are good. I usually just get the pistachio one. For some reason its a hit or miss. It sometimes tastes good. The place is nice and relaxing

The service needs to be improved. After purchasing our drinks they told us they didn't have one, couldn't give us a refund, or a gift card in the amount of the drink. They asked us to choose anything from the menu, and when we did, we were told that the drink we chose was more expensive so they could only offer us a smaller size instead of the large we had ordered before. Seems like an odd thing to do when trying to make up for a mistake on your part. On top of that the drinks tasted bitter and ammonia filled. Usually the service here is fine, but I won't be rushing to come back.

My friends and I came here through my brother's recommendation for bubble tea. We had high expectations because my brother frequently comes here and so does my other friend so we had to try. I ordered the taro coconut milk drink with zero sugar and less ice which I enjoyed very much however my friends did not enjoy theirs very much. Specifically the Thai milk tea drink and the jasmine tea drink. The place was quaint with very little seating so most were taken up including the one table outside of the place. We had a dog with us so we didn't want to bring him inside and we missed our shot at grabbing the table outside. So we sat on the curb for a little while then parted ways. Since I didn't have a bad experience with my drink, I will probably return to try other options on the menu. Hopefully there are seats next time

The two drinks we ordered were both mediocre. I was excited to try their mango pomelo and taro balls drink since it has all my favourite things in one. I merely tasted any pomelo, and even with no sugar the drink was pretty sweet. For the mango passion fruit drink, we got less sugar, and it was a bit too sweet for us. They have some unique drinks but after trying it for the first time I am not sure I will be back.

I hadn't been to an M Cha Bar before one of my co-workers mentioned it. I had a BOGO offer after visiting once before and decided to get the mango pomelo taro ball drink as well as the taro milk tea. The mango pomelo taro ball drink was quite refreshing, especially on a hot day. I was worried that it would melt on my short drive home. I didn't think I would like coconut milk in my drink but it was actually pretty good. The taro milk tea was also very good. It's regular milk tea with taro paste. I thought the milk tea was pretty good and the taro makes it even better. What I liked about both drinks is that they use real ingredients vs powders and such. I find the prices at M Cha Bar to be a bit pricey, but you're getting quality ingredients and things you won't find at other popular bubbletea shops.

Good tea, but it is quite expensive. Loooootssss of choices on the menu it was hard to decide. I got the roasted milk tea (smaller size) and it was over $6...? A bit much for no tapioca but the tea quality was good. Nice and aesthetic inside with lots of photo ops.

Came to M Cha Bar after a retail therapy session at Vaughan Mills Mall. Ordered the large creme brulee milk tea with tapioca and the strawberry yaklut (not picture) I was super impressed with both drinks. The creme brulee drink had torched sugar on top of the cold foam that balanced out the brown sugar for the perfect amount of sweetness. Vibes are great, price was affordable and service was quick, will stop by again!

M Cha came back with a bang! After being closed for so long, they reopened with a new menu and a promo (20% all drinks, expired unfortunately). My last visit I went for the London fog float which to me wasn't anything special. A little mishap with the drink but they were able to remake it for me again. My favourite was the Summer Heat drink - with fresh mangoes, grapefruit, coconut milk and fresh taro balls. Keep in mind that they are currently allowing only 4 guests inside at a time. The drinks will take longer to make.

I returned to try the ultimate fruit green tea and the fermented rice with peach gum and rose sauce. I must have forgotten to adjust my sweetness level for the GT as it was very sweet. However it was refreshing, fruity and quenching. For the fermented rice drink I just wish it had more of it. It was mostly just milk with a little bit of peach gum, fermented rice and a hint of rose flavor. It was underwhelming.

Generally a huge fan of M Cha but this is one of my least favourite locations. Their drinks are amazing, but the wait times are super long compared to their other locations. There's also an annoying chime that plays any time someone opens the door, so if you're trying to study or get work done there, it can be very distracting.

Love this spot! The store is a decent size with some nice seating and is always clean when I pop in. The staff are polite and friendly. I've tried their MILK TEA TRIO, which comes with tapioca, grass jelly, and pudding - tasty! Also, not sure if they make their tapioca in house but it's very QQ (i.e. chewy) which is what you want. But the drink that keeps me coming back is their PASSIONFRUIT YAKULT - so good. The seeds are a little sour but you can opt to not have them. Drink quality is good. The place is also aesthetic if you're looking for a place to take some nice pictures! Located just outside of Vaughan Mills, it's quite easy to access though the area gets busy and a little chaotic at times. But they're within a corner of the plaza so it isn't too bad.

5 star!! I got the passionfruit and mango slush with coconut jelly . It tastes DELICIOUS. The staff is nice, polite, and friendly. Lots of parking space and sitting area. Very inexpensive too! Because they recently opened they currently have a deal, bring a friend and get 30%off (so I obviously had to get that deal! ) lol :-D I highly recommend this place.

Ordered 2 london fogs. They said they sold out of all the toppings for it but tapioca or brown sugar tapioca, it was only 3pm didn't think we came too late or anything.. Disappointing

I just went to and got the ice cream, peach slush w/ cheese foam this weekend and am now the BIGGEST FAN! I love the creativity and love that went into everything. My fiance works beside Vaughan Mills and raved about this place. I wish he brought me sooner! The peach drink is picture perfect, taste amazing with lots of real fresh peaches. The cheese foam was light and not overly rich but you can still taste the strong cheese flavour. The London Fog soft serve also beautiful. I'm a fan of Earl Grey ice cream and this interpretation tasted beautiful. The tea flavour was strong and the texture of the ice cream is smooth and creamy. With such difficult times going on, not a whole lot makes me genuinely happy anymore. Everything here out a huge smile on my face. I cannot wait to leave the house to try more on the menu soon.

M Cha Bar is a great spot for boba that isn't your typical bubble tea chain and from them being consistently busy is a sign that people love this place too! They have a very cute seating area with a few tables! The Creme brûlée milk tea is my usual go-to but I would definitely be coming back to try some of their fruit tea selection!

Hey Yelpers! Visit place because it was recommended to me by my co-worker. The parking is good, lots of space. The M Chá Bar is surrounded by other Asian bubble tea stores. When you enter, there are no seating spaces as all furniture are packed to one side due to COvID. The workers were wearing face masks. They didn't enforce customers to wear face masks. I purchase the Summer Heat drink which is composed of mango Pamelo Taro Ball, I asked for no sugar. I love the mix of the mango and pamelo. But the addition of tarp ball is meh. Taro is so not the right choice, maybe grass jelly wild be better. I'm dying to go back and try other flavours though. I'd love to try the fruity drinks. See ya later Yelpers

I think I spent more time deciding on the drink than waiting for it...the menu here is so diverse and full of variety. I went with the Peachy Dream, which was loaded with crystal boba, aloe vera and sago in a peach oolong milk tea. So refreshing and love a rich tea flavour. For even more adventure (and deals) there are daily drink specials too!

This is the new best place in Vaughan. The interior is gorgeous with white marble accented by unique brass pieces and natural wood, they offer free wifi, a points system to track your visits and offer free drinks, and an extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff that can help you choose the right drink. I was thoroughly impressed when the staff listed the common allergens in the topping we ordered and confirmed that we don't have any allergies to those products. Very impressive and reassuring that they prioritize client health and safety! In a location that is currently saturated with similar establishments (ChaTime, Happy Lemon, Cafe Teapioca) this one stands out due to its friendly staff, great customer service, delicious beverages, and beautiful interior decor. I highly recommend M Cha Bar.

Had to give this a try as friends raved about it. From what I can see they dont have many locations but at this one the decor is very clean, modern and bright. The packaging is also very elevated down to the detail of the paper trays that hold your drinks and the bag. You are paying for a premium product at least for presentation. I found the Taro coconut milkshake and milk tea trio good.. the taro drink is definitely distinctive from whats out there so its my recommendation if you like taro. The milk tea is prob a 8/10 not bad.. Its worth a try but I wouldnt say its my new regular. Would like try more drinks!

Location: Jane/Rutherford Plaza (I heard they are opening a second location in Scarborough soon) Drinks: I did not find them to be that special. They are beautifully packaged and even the brown bags also come with little cup holders in the middle to keep the drinks in position. The Milk tea I asked for 30% sugar levels and it tasted like regular to me (Had the same type of sugar levels as Cha Time even at the lowest which is still pretty sweet for my liking). The mango one tasted pretty standard but more ice than actual fruit flavors. They mentioned that if its less than 50% sugar the fruit can taste more sour so we went with what was recommended. Decor: So pretty ! Very chic and a lot of seating it wasn't cramped for a weekend which was nice. Customer Service/Cost: They were really friendly and nice. We couldn't make up our mind on what to order so we asked for their top sellers. They said the Milk Tea, Extreme Fruit, Mango Chiller are the top but the extreme fruit was sold out. Pricing is standard for a bubble tea place, i'm sure their Scarborough location will have way more traffic. Will try again in the future when it opens.

One of my favorite BBT places but too bad it's situated so far away. Restaurant has plenty of seating and clean washrooms. Ordered a Milk Tea Trio (Taro Paste, Pudding and Tapioca) and Milk Pearl Tea. Personally not a huge milk tea fan but love that drink here. Not too sweet and overly milky is probably what's enticing me. -1 star only cause they haven't opened other locations around the GTA. Whenever you have a bubble tea craving and in that area a must visit.

I find they have the best toppings. This drink I had is called lychee slush cream foam with pearl jelly and rainbow jelly. It's so filling!

One cashier makes it very difficult to get your order quickly. Considering when people have multiple orders ahead of you. I finally understand why a bunch of people walked out. Next time, make sure you don't have 1 person ordering 20 drinks. Drinks are great, I think M Cha should seriously consider a second cash register.

Finally, a non-franchised Bubble Tea place with quality drinks and a BEAUTIFUL store!! I initially heard about M Cha Bar through Instagram and was surprised to find out that the location opened in Vaughan (out of all places). Needless to say, I rushed to try it because ChaTime and Happy Lemon were just not cutting it for me anymore (sorry guys). Walking in, you want to stay just because of the decor. The owners clearly invested a lot of their budget into making this Bubble Tea spot stand out. The menu is pretty standard, with some exceptions. They have an open-concept kitchen and although they don't seem to make their own tapioca, they do mash their own Taro. We decided to order simple drinks and judge the quality of the tea & fruity drinks at the same time. I ordered the Brown Sugar Ginger Milk Tea (warm) and the my partner ordered the Passionfruit Yakult. Prices of the drinks are standard. Expect to spend $6.00 on a large drink, plus another $0.50 if you want tapioca. The Brown Sugar Ginger Tea was a bit underwhelming, all I could generally taste was the fat from the milk and not a single hint of ginger. The Passion Fruit Yakult, on the other hand, was actually great! It was topped off with a generous serving of actual pulp. I'm excited to return and try other flavours! This time, I plan to stay in and enjoy the ambiance!

Great spacious and clean place, probably will be one of my go to's now. Kind of sick of all the same franchises for bubble tea. Their menu has some very unique stuff which I liked. I had ordered the pistachio frappe which was amazing I never had this anywhere else and the BlueBerry Black Tea the flavors were definitely there! It was nice to get different drinks and I would definately recommend to try them. Price wasn't too bad they are having 30% buy a 2nd or more drinks.

After years of frequenting Chatime, Happy Lemon, and Green Grotto for my bubble tea fix in the Vaughan Mills area, I am very excited about this fairly recent addition to the local bubble tea scene! I found this Yelp page by chance while searching for a tea/coffee shop where I could get some work done. Honestly, I'm disappointed it took me so long. At the employee's recommendation, I opted for the milk tea trio, with roasted oolong tea base. Be warned, with 3 toppings, it's more dessert than beverage! I'm not normally a taro lover, but I enjoyed the fresh taro paste a lot more than I expected to. The tapioca pearls were soft and chewy, and the pudding was smooth and decadent. Despite the roasted tea flavour being less pronounced than I normally like, it was pretty much love at first sip. I was the only customer at half past 3 on a weekday, so the cafe was very quiet. The background music was tinkly at first, then became more upbeat into the early evening hours as more customers came in. Because my work laptop has a low battery life, I really appreciated the availability of power outlets! The only thing I would say about working here is that the small tables are a bit low in height, which means you'll likely need to bend over to see your screen. The cafe is spacious, with plenty of natural lighting, and 2 gender neutral washrooms. Before leaving, I ordered another milk tea trio for my partner, but sadly they were out of pudding at the time. I was encouraged to choose taro balls instead -- not my fave, but I think it's cool that they offer this. I originally tried taro paste and taro balls at Meet Fresh in the US, and had not seen these toppings offered in Canada so far. Overall, I know it's premature to consider this a new go-to since I've only tried one drink, but I'm really impressed with this cafe. I'll continue to support this local business in giving the big chains a run for their money. P.S. The Vicinity reward program is offered here!

Taro is awesome. Lol I wish I could've sums up a bbt store with that but M Cha Bar's Taro coconut Milkshake is a must try! Lovely texture of their tapioca, with great combination b/t Taro, and coconut. Interior: spacious and bright. Not too many separate seating though - mostly just a big communal table so it can get a little loud.

Really enjoyed this place! Still relatively new to the area, I dont think many people really know about M Cha Bar, but its definitely worth a visit. Friendly staff, fresh tea and nicely brewed, reasonable pricing (since now premium teas are all around this price). Tapioca has a nice chew and not too sweet, but I would say that the taro balls they offer were slightly less enjoyable as they lacked a little bit in terms of taste and texture. Drinks were all brewed nicely and you can taste the tea rather than it being muddled in flavour by the toppings and/ or syrup. They also offer milk alternatives, which my friend definitely appreciated. We also tried their soft serve. Not icy and smooth in texture. Less creamy/ milky flavour but you can taste subtle notes of the tea. Would come back to get their drinks. Definitely worth trying.

Loved the tapioca in the drinks. They're not stingy with the tapioca balls at all. The variety of drinks to choose from? Amazing... The interior is also pretty and comfortable. I tried the salted caramel oolong and it's creamier and has a tinge of the salted caramel taste. The between sugar pearl was nice and the tapioca pearls was chewy. I can't get enough of it! I also like the size of the cup it comes in Medium or Large.

I stopped by on Sunday with my friend to check this place out. I've seen some really nice pictures and videos on Instagram. M Cha Bar opened very recently so it was empty when I went. The barista/tearista? Was very pleasant and sweet to talk to and she explained the menu items. My friend ordered an oolong milk tea with tapioca while I ordered oolong fruit tea. The milk tea was really nice, there was a strong tea flavour and the tapioca had a good chewy texture. My oolong fruit tea was refreshing and would be a perfect summer drink. The only thing I would change about it is to ask for more tea and less fruit juice because it tasted a bit like orange juice. The decor is very cute, a nice date place. My only complaint is the tables are very low while the chairs are high so you have to sit with your leg to the side. Overall, it's a nice addition to Vaughan and I'll definitely be coming back.

Great bubble tea spot in Vaughan! The decor and overall atmosphere is amazing. My go to drink here is the taro coconut milkshake! It doesn't sound that appetizing but is definitely with a try. The texture is different from your typical bubble tea drink and goes great with the taro balls! I also love how this bubble tea place offers mini pearls! You can definitely tell that each and every drink is made with quality! Still have to try their salted caramel soft serve but it's always sold out when I visit.

The taro coconut milkshake is something that I have to recommend to people to try. The little taro balls are a delight! If you are a coconut fan this is a drink for you. The interior is clean, the service is friendly and helpful with suggestions for first-timers. They also have Japanese style cheesecake that is baked in house and unique soft serve flavours. I would come back to try the pistachio shake.

This is the best Pistachio Frappe If you are a Pistachio lover, then you would love this drink! It has strong pistachio flavour and some pistachio chunks! I will definitely get it again.

I was careful to take photos fast enough that the ice cream wouldn't melt. If you've never had boba soft serve like this before, then you're really missing out. @m_chabar offers tea latte soft serve flavours such as London Fog that provides customizable toppings such as a charcoal cone and Oreo bits. Great for photos but more importantly, fun experience and good taste.

We tried M Cha for the first time and it was alright. Got the summer heat (mango pomelo with taro balls) and the daily special, which happened to be brown sugar pearl milk tea. The summer heat was alright, since you can't really go wrong with mango pomelo (classic Hk dessert) and the taro balls were nice and chewy, but the brown sugar pearl milk tea was way too sweet. The pearls were nice and large and chewy though. I know brown sugar is supposed to be sweet and the combo is probably better with milk, but a friend told me she's had other drinks here and it's also too sweet. The service is good though and it's really nice they take the initiative to be more environmentally friendly with the paper bag for takeout with the cardboard cupholder inside, as opposed to other bbtea places that use plastic bags. Even their straws are in paper wrapping. (The straws are plastic though, since many people find paper straws have a funny taste.) They have some interesting drinks you can't try anywhere else that are worth trying, like the chestnut paste one.

You can taste the quality of their ingredients in their tea - Their price definitely reflects this. You can taste the tea in their bubble tea. The tapioca was had the perfect amount of chew and sweetness. In fact, it could possibly be the best bubble tea place in the Vaughan area.

A true hidden gem in Vaughan! Located outside of Vaughan Mills mall and they serves bubble teas, tea latte, and soft served! Their signature is their fresh taro paste which is a must in your milk tea! I recommend to add red bean too! They goes so good together! The reason I didn't give full 5stars is I hope they have some pics of the menu to make my decision easier because I actually missed the soft served until I carefully look again! So I got to go back and try again!

I was super excited to try to place but it ended up being underwhelming. The tea flavour was there it was also quite bland. Based on reviews, I also thought the tapioca would be chewy and delicious but it was just alright. I've had better tapioca and milk tea. I probably won't be returning since I'm not a fan and the price was worth it to me. Customer service as well as atmosphere was great though. I was greeted when I entered and the store is very cute. I see why it would be a great place to study or catch up with friends.

Sucks that you can only do milk substitutes on the lattes. I really wanted to ty the "Milk Tea Trio" and "Taro Coconut milkshake" with almond/soy milk, but they can't substitute it. I was looking forward to trying this place out with all of the high ratings on Yelp. The tea lattes options didn't really appealed to me to try with the dairy free alternatives. I'm a big fan of coconut and tapioca. Super bummed!

Discovered this bubble tea place recently as I was looking for a new bbt place. The store decor is pretty basic and aesthetic for a bubble tea shop. I loveeeeeee how they have mini pearls which is something other places don't have. My go-to drink is the Summer Heat one (mango slush with pomelo, a hint of coconut milk and taro ball). The ultimate fruit tea is overrated, I find it pretty basic. I didn't enjoy the soft serve that much, it melted quickly and couldn't taste anything. Overall, totally recommend this place!

Got the milk trio which is milk tea w/tapioca, house made taro paste and brown sugar pudding (they ran out of pudding so we got taro balls instead). Good tea, loved the taro paste, tapioca and taro balls. Price was a little high at around $7 for a large, but the quality is there. They seem to have other flavours that the other places don't have so it's worth checking it out.
