M Maison Particulière Porto

My husband and I spent 5 nights at M Maison Particulière, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. It was by far the best place we have ever stayed. First of all, the property is stunningly beautiful. The details they have put into the decor and preserving the history do not go unnoticed. We stayed in suite 4 (Spanish masters) and loved everything about the room. The dining room was also gorgeous, as was the lobby and the garden area. Everyone who worked there was gracious and kind, making us feel like they were welcoming us into their home. Lastly, the location was perfect, on a vibrant square filled with shops and restaurants, a short walk from the river, the city center, livraria lello, and many other sites. Do not pass up this hidden gem!

My favorite hotel of all time. The location on a pedestrian square was excellent and we had fantastic music from the street performances each day and night - although the room was soundproofed when we closed the doors. This hotel has been perfectly rebuilt to a very high standard and the rooms are beautiful and spacious. Every little detail was expertly constructed and has been meticulously maintained. The service that Marco and Susanna provided was very professional and helpful. I cannot say enough good things about this property and we loved our stay in Porto.

Wow, what a special place. We choose M Maison Pariculiere for the Porto part of our 30th anniversary trip. It is a remarkable property made even more unique by the hospitality of the staff. Superb location along a bustling pedestrian street in the center of Porto, but once you enter it is quiet and calm. The entry room is beautiful and we enjoyed having an evening drink from the honor bar. We stayed in the Chagall room and it lived up to its name. Marco was our main contact and was present during our days and early evenings. Such special care, the hospitality was like staying with a family member. He made arrangements for breakfast (in the hotel, which was excellent), taxis, and local recommendations. And made sure our 30 year tawny port was chilled. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Porto.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The service was exceptional, and from the moment we arrived, we were treated like VIPs. The front desk staff were professional, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay feel special. They remembered us and kept our room key whenever we left the hotel, which was a nice touch.||The breakfast is ordered the night before, but this ensures that all items are cooked fresh. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful.||The hotel's location is ideal for exploring beautiful Porto. It sits on a picturesque street lined with plenty of bars and restaurants. We especially enjoyed the turndown service and the lovely terrace outside our room, which featured a stunning 16th-century blue tile wall.||We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. It offers a five-star boutique experience, and you truly feel welcome and special throughout your stay.

Staying at M Maison Particulière was truly an unforgettable experience! Set in a 16th-century building right in the heart of Porto’s old town, the location couldn’t be more ideal—just steps from iconic landmarks like Palácio da Bolsa, Clérigos Tower, Porto Cathedral, São Bento Station, and more.||The hotel itself is the epitome of luxury, with the most exquisite interior design and a bespoke, intimate feel throughout. Our room was beautifully curated down to the finest detail—elegant, unique, and incredibly comfortable.||Breakfast on the garden terrace was a real highlight—peaceful, delicious, and a perfect start to the day. The staff were also exceptionally helpful and welcoming.||Highly recommend a stay here—what an incredible and special experience in Porto!

Excellent intimate and luxury boutique hotel with individualized service located in the heart of Porto.||10 rooms, all uniquely furnished with attention to detail and fabulous artwork.||I stayed in Room 1 which had a unique wooden carved ceiling along with artwork from Dali and a picture of a Maharajah in the living room area. Nice balcony directly overlooking the trendy and popular Rua das Flores.||Breakfast included and ordered the evening before served in a charming dining area (though some rooms might be suited for enjoying on their balconies overlooking the city).||Attentive staff and very secure building not open to non guests.

I was just in awe of the talent, planning, and effort that went into the stunning transformation of this older building in the center of Porto. Every detail is absolutely brilliant and it was a pleasure for me to spend 2 days admiring such thoughtful design excellence… (taking home more than a few ideas).||Marco and his staff gave us a very gracious welcome and were most helpful with advice and assistance all through our stay. Our room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable, including the bedding. There were a lot of thoughtful touches around the room.||Breakfasts were a la carte with many choices. It’s a small hotel…very cozy…and the breakfast is served in an elegant dining area with beautiful table settings….a lovely way to begin your day.||The location is excellent. So many things in walking distance.||I would return in a heartbeat.

Excellent location and service. Close to all the great restaurants and attractions. The room with the private patio is spacious. The cook to order breakfast is amazing. You order the night before so they can bring in fresh items for you. The turn down service was nice and includes chocolate. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The well make tours and reservations for you. You feel like family when you walk in. Secure and unique.
