M Roof Hotel

Overall, a very pleasant stay at M Roof. The rooms are fantastic—spacious, clean, and definitely 5-star quality. However, I have to knock off a star due to the service and connectivity. The WiFi was poor during my stay. I reported it to the reception team, and although they promised to send an engineer to check it, no one ever showed up. Aside from the lack of follow-through on the service, it’s a great spot in Ipoh

Deluxe King Plus RM263/night (no breakfast) Pros : 1. Quiet area. 2. Welcome drink. 3. Hotel ambience. 4. Receptionists. 5. Privacy. 6. Near to Ipoh Town. 7. Toiletries, slippers, hair dryer, iron with iron board. 8. Mini bar. 9. Mineral water, instant coffee and tea (standard freebies) - No comment about their swimming pool bcs we went to Pasar Karat the next morning. Pasar Karat is quite big, it takes us like 2 hours to settle jalan-jalan sana. Next time kena keluar lagi awal. Cons : 1. Hard to find empty parking space. A bit fedup bcs we are so tired travelling from N9. 2. No bidet. 3. No mirror inside room 315 (mirror only in the bathroom). 4. Narrow corridor. 5. Room is lack of lighting. 6. Slippery and soapy bathroom floor. 7. Shower drain clogged. 8. Dusty sofa, it's smelly too. - Overall M Roof is a good hotel but im not coming back bcs of parking space issues. I rasa adalah 6 kali pusing untuk dapatkan parking. Last sekali parking dekat dengan tempat pembuangan sampah, near to orang jual durian. Itu pun macam tak proper tempatnya. Jalan tar tu berlubang, ada bau sampah dan bau taik anjing 🥲

Pros - Decent-sized room with a comfortable bed. - Good water pressure in the bathroom. - Nice view from both the pool and the room, which adds to the overall experience. Cons - Poor maintenance of facilities, especially the swimming pool. The pool was visibly dirty, with sand settled at the bottom, and water clarity was so bad that visibility was lost beyond about 1.5 metres. - Strongly NOT recommended to book a room with breakfast. The breakfast quality was disappointing and far below expectations for a 4-star hotel. The only redeeming item was the coffee. While the location and views are great, the overall maintenance definitely needs serious improvement.

We arrived here late afternoon and on the outside and in the reception the hotel looked good. There is a lot of parking outside which is good but there are two main roads around the hotel. ||Upon check in we were told that 5 teams had checked in for a hockey tournament and as a consequence food was simply not available, no breakfast or dinner. The check in lady said that was "okay" because we hadn't booked breakfast. ||The corridors to the rooms were not air conditioned which made them incredibly stuffy. On first glance the room was okay but upon further inspection there was a lot not okay. As others have said the fridge does not work and is incredibly loud as a consequence, the light inside the fridge is also neon bright. The air conditioning unit is clearly working very hard and was also extremely loud meaning that to sleep we had to turn both items off even with ear plugs in. As a result we both had a horrid nights sleep. ||The bed wasn't uncomfortable but the sheets were dirty and marked in places. There was only plug sockets on one side of the bed not both which meant phones had to be charged on the other side of the room. ||The floor was lino or plastic and had so many bubbles and rips in it that our luggage kept getting caught. ||The hotel isn't well located and you can't walk to anywhere for food or drink, e-hailing was pretty quick on the four times we used it so we were thankful for that. ||I will preface all of this by saying we did pay £45 however there's a travelodge in the same city which I would have preferred to go to.

Good hospitality from the hotel team, from the receptionist above.. being considerate upon a few of our requests (even not all). Our room don't have any carpet but still nice. The air-conditioning was superd, super cool.. nevertheless parking space was a bit challenging, its loacted outside the premise and you have to identify suitable space to park.

The room at M Roof is nice and comfortable, but my experience was ruined by the toilet facilities. The breakfast was so-so, but the real issue is the lack of a bidet. ​It makes no sense for a hotel to remove bidets nowadays. It feels like we are moving backward into the dark ages rather than forward into a modern century where hygiene comes first. ​The handheld sprayer provided is not a good substitute. It is inconvenient and unhygienic. To be blunt, the sprayer gun in my room was dirty. There was literally visible feces left on it. That is completely unacceptable and unsanitary. Management needs to prioritize cleanliness over "simplicity." I cannot recommend the hotel until this is fixed.

Though we didn't stay overnight (we were just there for a wedding), we did get to experience what the rooms were like getting ready, and we did get to experience the catered dinner. Very good as a venue/conference, and solid as for rooms (of note: only an old style iron - not one which emitted steam). The food was absolutely awesome!

Very spacious for the 3 rooms unit. Very comfortable to stay. What I love the most is the clean bathroom. Parking is available just outside of the hotel. A good hotel that can fit in 6 people and hang out together in the unit. The shower sets are not fully refilled. Some are empty. But you can just call the lobby for help and they sent it not long after. Room is dark, less lighting but I guess that's their design. Day time was ok if you open the curtains but night time is dark.
