Google
Highly recommend!!!! Absolutely amazing stay here. Staff are friendly and kind. We got the "benefits" upgrade and it was worth every cent. Wine and cheese board delivered to the room, late check-out, valet parking included aswell as delicious coffee and buffet breakfast. First breakfast buffet I have seen smoked salmon supplied and plenty of it. Rooms were perfect for myself and partner, especially the blackout curtains, which makes sleeping a breeze. Thank you very much to the M social staff, we cannot wait to come and stay again! Much appreciated 👏

We had a two night stay prior to getting on our flight home in the evening of the second day. The room was spacious and comfortable with amazing views of the harbour. The location is in the CBD so handy to everything. Some nice touches - seems silly but we really appreciated the little pocket packets of tissue as we were both recovering from colds (which seems to happen when we travel). The inclusion of breakfast really benefits travellers - just one meal you don't have to consider. We had one dinner, one lunch and two breakfasts in the restaurant. All were fine and I recommend the burrata cheese dish for a lighter lunch - it was excellent. Staff were attentive, welcoming and friendly. Had a lovely chat with Abbas in the restaurant - he made recommendations for a return visit. My only suggestion would be to consider reducing the volume of the restaurant music. We have stopped going to restaurants that have loud music - as seniors, our hearing is not as good as it used to be and the music just makes it more difficult (yes, we both have hearing aids but their use increases the interference of the music, too). Having said that, if that one small thing was corrected, we'd definitely be back.

This was our first stop on a tour round New Zealand and we were more than happy with the stay. Good sized room with views to the harbour, very clean with great amenities. Excellent breakfast. The staff though were the stars our luggage was delayed in Sydney and their help in calling customer services was priceless, they really helped reduce the stress and upset - thank you.

Google
One of the best hotels i have stayed at. The location was perfect, the view from the room was beautiful. Rooms were clean and just the right size. The staff were all so lovely and attentive. Food was delicious especially the breakfast buffet (one of the best I have had). Great value for money. Only small thing was the shower head was quiet small but it wasn't an issue. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Thanks immensely ☺️

Amazing experience all around. The ladies at reception were very kind and welcoming, valet was efficient and on time. Room service meals were tasty and the location is top notch. Rooms are clean and they have great views overlooking the Viaduct. 10/10 recommend if you’re staying in Auckland!

Yelp
Love this hotel! I wish I could give it more then 5 stars! Everyone at the hotel are super friendly & welcoming Perfect location - across the street from the ferries to take you to the outer islands aka the wineries ! When you step out of the hotel if you walk to the left or the right you will have various choices of bars, restaurants & plenty of shopping. The rooms are spacious & the bed super comfy. Don't forget to order room service & a little robot will be at your door!

Yelp
I've never stayed at an M Social hotel before this stay! It was everything I needed in a hotel. Easy check in, all the efficiencies in my room! Cleanliness was PERFECT... never have I stayed in a cleaner hotel! The staff were attentive and very personable. Best part of it all.... My room was available for check in at 6:30 AM! The bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower was scalding hot!! I'd have to say this hotel was the second best thing about my stay in New Zealand --- second only to the beaches! Room service was surprising quick... no discrepancies with my order! The gym was on the same floor as my room and the equipment looked brand new!

Yelp
I've stayed here a few times now and have always had a great experience. The location is great and everything is within walking distance - the mall, train station, bas/restaurants, the ferry terminal, etc., plus you're right on the water front so you'll have a nice view. They have a parking garage if you do bring a car but it doesn't seem necessary if you're going to be adventuring around the CBD or taking the ferry somewhere. The lobby is a little small but it has enough seating to for a few groups to sit. There's also a restaurant that is connected and they have amazing blueberry muffins! The concierge were really helpful and helped me and my coworkers by booking our ferry + bus tour the first time we were there. They printed everything for us and we just had to pick it up on the way out. The room was standard but really nice. There's the normal amenities plus extra toiletries if you need them (toothbrush, razor, vanity kit, etc.). There was also an umbrella in the room that came in handy! I also really appreciate that there's milk in the fridge for coffee since I don't like powdered creamer. The nautical decor of the hotel is really cool and done in a tasteful way. I've really enjoyed my three stays here in the past and plan to be back.

Yelp
A very sweet, modern hotel on the harbor in Auckland, NZ, M Social is located within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. Our room was small, but clean with comfortable beds and nice bedding. The harbor view from our large window made up for the room's size and lack of storage space. There is a fabulous breakfast buffet that we enjoyed this morning. Don't miss it! Staff have been very nice and helpful.

Yelp
LOVED this place! Friendly, helpful staff, and clean, comfortable rooms. Fabulous (and huge) breakfast buffet in the restaurant downstairs. Lots of other restaurants and shopping in the area, too. And it's located right across from beautiful Auckland Harbor, from where you can catch cruises to nearby islands. I'm so glad we stayed here; I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Really great hotel. The location was fantastic right on the water directly across from where all the fairies pick up which is perfect because all the sightseeing requires you taking a ferry to one island or the other the hotel had comfy beds, clean big rooms with views of the water. A decent gym and nice complementary tea and water. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
Only stayed a night but a great hotel with lovely views and superb friendly staff. I want to call out Tristen in the restaurant who was charming , friendly and a true professional. The location is fantastic on the marina with lots of things to see. I stayed at the Sky hotel before but this is more sophisticated and quieter

Yelp
What great concierge service, endless free bottled water, guest laundry room, gorgeous views, and delicious breakfast buffet!

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for a week and loved it. The facilities are very modern and very well decorated. The location is perfect-right across from the harbor and in close proximity to shopping, dining, transportation ( both by bus and by ferry.) The staff were very helpful and kind. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful time. With our room came coffee/tea all day at the bar. The bartenders were very kind and we engaged in lovely conversation. In particular, Andre was very kind and it was great learning about his experience in the city. The breakfast buffet every morning was rich and super tasty. The staff at the restaurant were very helpful too. One of the servers, Diana, was very kind and took time to talk to us to make sure we had everything we needed. All in all, M Social in Auckland is a perfect place to stay while visiting this lovely city. I highly recommend it!

Yelp
This hotel is a pretty trendy, hip place to stay at in Auckland. It's centrally located in the central business district and close to many tourist attractions. The space itself is very nice, cleans and staff are nice and helpful. The rooms are very nice, modern and very trendy. I understand this hotel to be a joint venture with Millennium hotels and Social hotels. It's the youthful, trendy division which is clearly visible throughout. Room rates are reasonable and compared to Hilton rates, which is just down the wharf from here. I opted for the premium upgrade, which allowed you access to the lounge and happy hour beverages/food. I must say the upgrade was certainly not worth it. The amount to upgrade $150 a night roughly, which you'd expect it to be worth it. The lounge was a space that had couches, outdoor area and a billiards/game table, television and bar/snack area. The snacks were cheese, crackers and fruit and wine selection was limited to one red or one white to drink from. A full coffee machine was available to gets drinks from. During the week, they did not have red wine available 3 days. Although they have a full bar in lobby and restaurant, they wouldn't/couldn't bring up a bottle of red to drink. Instead I was told I could go down and purchase any red I'd like. I really found it hard to believe a bottle of red couldn't be opened. The upgrade also included breakfast buffet, which was very good. The food was good and service was good in the restaurant and buffet area. The food tasted good. Other than the lounge issue, the stay was good, rooms were clean and comfortable. Views were amazing and the location was very centrally located. I'd stay there again, but not a fan of the "upgrade" I did mention the issue to management, they did apologise and refunded the full amount of the upgrade. They were very helpful and just wanted to make sure the stay was satisfactory and issues resolved.

Yelp
Wow this is a really great find just on the high street of Auckland. Recently opened, this is a terrific place if you have a business meeting and need a place to stay. It's a small hotel that is in a former tea salon. It feels comfortable and friendly because of its size and excellent staff. When you sit down to check in, they even serve a house made tea. What a great way to start a stay! The hotel is built around a grand staircase at the center. Something just seems so opulent about waking down a big spiral. Rooms are to either side and are well appointed in a glamorous style. We loved the comfy pillows that make it easy to relax. The standard rooms are quite small but a good bargain. The slightly larger rooms have a few chairs and are really comfortable. The showers are great. High pressure with rainforest fixtures. Really great for relaxing. Overall, a great place for a stay right in the center of Auckland!

Yelp
My wife & I stayed at the M Social hotel, 196/200 Quay Street, Auckland CBD, the night before this years Round the Bays event. On arrival we were told that breakfast would cost NZ$35 per person for the buffet. Standard cost we thought. We had a standard room overlooking the Auckland waterfront. After a nice dinner we returned home to read & watch TV. At 2330 a man entered our room, using a pass key. Surprised to find us there he left in a hurry. He had a small shopping bag & did not seem to be a guest. We thought that he might have been a staff member looking for a place to sleep. We phoned reception to tell them about this after which a man from security arrived to ask us a few questions. We thought that we had hear the intruder open & close the adjacent room within seconds of leaving our room but this did not seem to be of interest to security. The next morning we went down for breakfast. Whilst we were eating we were presented with the bill & as soon as it was signed it was rapidly collected by staff. Rude. It was for NZ$44 per person for the cooked breakfast. When we questioned this at checkout we were informed that NZ$35 was the base fee & that NZ$44 was the actual price for a cooked breakfast! When it came to check-out there was no mention or recognitition of the fact that we had had someone enter our room. So a day or so later I wrote to the Hotel telling them that I would like to file a complaint. 2 weeks later I have heard nothing. Apart from the fact that the name M Social is wierd (I guess the marketing department would disagree) I would like to highlight the following points. 1. IT IS TOTALLY UNNACCEPTABLE TO HAVE SOMEONE ENTER A ROOM WITH A PASS KEY 2. THE COST OF BREAKFAST WAS MISREPRESENTED & WE WERE NOT INFORMED OF THE COST AT THE TIME WE ENTERED THE RESTAURANT. 3. WE WILL NOT BE STAYING AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN Regards Marcus

Yelp
A very cute retro designed hotel right next to the warfs. Valet parking overnight. The service was great as we had a tour on waiheke and couldn't check into our rooms yet but we were able to leave our bags with the front desk and they took them to our room when it was ready. Nice view of the ocean and big room with a bathtub you can sit in. The restaurant, Beast and Butterflies is an Asian fusion place and was pretty good for dinner also with great service.

Yelp
Nice hotel that's convenient to lots of restaurants and attractions. The hotel restaurant is actually quite good with a fairly diverse dinner menu. Staff were all very friendly. Rooms are modern and well kept. Laundry facilities were clean and worked well. A nice updated hotel!

Yelp
This place was great! It is located right next to the ferry boats that bring you to the various islands (such as Waiheke Island). There are a gazillion restaurants within a short walking distance and even the hotel restaurant was pretty delicious in a pinch. You can leave the hotel doors, walk across the street and down the pier to enjoy some water views and TONS of restaurants. The room itself was great. The bed was comfy, TV was high quality and bath products were quite nice. The hotel gym has a few treadmills, rower, elliptical and a few bikes. It has a set of dumbbells as well. The only hiccup we had with this hotel is that you have to use your keycard to get to your specific floor. I'm hoping they change this so any keycard can reach any floor, but I imagine it would be problematic if we had friends staying on a separate floor that we wanted to visit. It also made it hard to go to the 4th floor to the gym without having to flag down someone in the lobby for their keycard. I imagine this was a fluke during our trip and this will be changed in the future. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again next time I'm in Auckland. You can't beat the neighborhood and the price was totally reasonable. Also, ask for a high floor because you can see the water from your room :)

Yelp
I wish I could give six stars as these guys have gone above and beyond I flew in from the US this morning and had roughly a 24hour trip. I got to the hotel around 8and even though check in is not until 3 and my room wasn't quite ready they were nothing amazing and helpful! As those who travel may know, the first thing you want to do after a long flight is take a shower and change(or at least I always do). They helped me with my bags and took me to the 4th floor gym and let me use the shower there. The staff also gave me the ins and outs of the city and what there is to do. I wish I knew the name of the guy who helped me, he was very pleasant and I could tell he really wanted to make sure I had a great time during my Auckland visit. While I explored New Zealand in the morning, they kept my bags for me and my room was ready by the time I got back from my morning adventure around noon. My bags wereready for me upstairs. The bed was so comfortable, and the view almost made me cry it was so spectacular! Their club level wasn't open yet and I booked a club level room so they gave me an equivalent compensation and made me feel very special. I also have a train ride from Auckland to Wellington at 7am and they settled my taxi accommodations and wake up calls. They even helped me calculate the time it takes to get to the station. I am staying here again the day before I head back to the states. I accidentally booked a day off for my return stay and they were able to help me correct this error! They also said they would try to get me a similar room to the one I had for this stay, which would be amazing! The whole time the staff was extremely pleasant. This is my first time traveling to New Zealand and I can say with conviction, this is the experience I was hoping for and is a great introduction to the native New Zealanders! I just love it here in Auckland and I can't wait to stay here on my way back! I also came to their restaurant for their oyster special. The oysters were phenomenal and I was very well attended to at my table. Fantastic hotel! I will absolutely be staying here whenever I come to Auckland in the future! It's in a perfect location right in the center of everything! This is a hotel experience not to be missed! Thanks so much for my stay :) -Alex
