Every time I entered Today’s Plaza, my attention always went straight to the crowd magnets near the entrance: on the right, the ever-popular Vietnamese coffee joints Bake & Che and Da Vien Coffee, and on the left, the traditional dessert spot Thạch Chè Hiển Khánh Dessert House, which always have people spilling out the front. But this time, just about 50 meters straight in, I spotted a new-looking Vietnamese drink shop that I hadn’t noticed before — Ma’ Juicy! 📍 9651 Bolsa Ave Suite A, Westminster, CA 92683 What really caught my eye? A sign outside advertising A perfect pair looks like Chinese -style sesame flatbreads (shao bing) and youtiao (fried dough sticks) to me which are not something I usually see at a Vietnamese tea shop. The interior looked super clean and well-kept. After some quick Googling, they have other locations too so I decided to check it out. But then came the menu struggle because everything on the little table menu was written entirely in Vietnamese, and while there was an electronic screen with English menu, the font was too tiny for us to read (forgot to bring the glasses) so I just went with the classic method: ask directly. I pointed to the perfect pair I saw on the sign outside and the staff told me they also had freshly made soy milk today, and even poured us a small cup to try. It was pretty decent! But the sesame bread on display didn’t look super appealing, so I passed on that. Then I asked if they had egg coffee, and they said they actually don’t sell coffee drinks here. I noticed this green drink labeled “#6” on the screen and asked what it was. Again, they poured us a sample — it had that earthy, healthy flavor because it had pennywort (rau má) in it! Here’s what we ended up ordering: #6: Rau má đậu xanh sữa dừa – $7.90 Pennywort + mung bean + coconut milk + pandan jelly) #31: Ceremonial Matcha Latte – $6.50 This was the only thing I could read on the screen so I went for it. We can customize the sugar and ice levels, which is always a plus. The staff was really friendly and patient. The interior design is chic with cozy vibe and good spacing between tables (love that!). Even the bathroom was clean with passcode needed. Overall, a solid new find! Might come back again to try other drinks.

While waiting for my lash appointment, I spotted this store and decided to give it a try. Right off the bat, I was impressed by how cozy, cute, and clean the space was. I ordered the number 7, which is the Pennywort Juice with Mungbean, Coconut Milk, Pandan Jelly, and Coconut Pudding. I absolutely loved the drink! I chose the default sweetness level (75%), and it was perfect for my taste. It’s the first place I’ve found that lets you adjust the sweetness in pennywort juice—usually, this is only an option for boba drinks. If you’re unsure of your preferred sweetness level, they even offer a sample cup so you can find the right balance. The toppings—pandan jelly and coconut pudding—added a delightful extra layer of flavor to the drink. The service was friendly, and there’s plenty of parking since the store is located in a large complex. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back to try more drinks!

I was in Westminster the other day and super thirsty, so I decided to try something new. Ma Juicy caught my eye--they specialize in pennywort drinks, which sounded healthy but I wasn't sure how it'd taste. Turns out it's actually pretty good! I got the #5 Pennywort Juice with Mung Bean and the #14 P Mix with Milk Foam, Pandan, and Chia Seeds. Both were refreshing. Pennywort reminds me a little bit of grass jelly, but not overpowering at all (definitely not like wheatgrass). Now that l've tried it, I'll definitely be back for more. If you're curious about pennywort, this place is worth checking out!

We order the sugar cane drink by it self it's great refreshing 9/10 stars. Its great I test this place so happy!!!

Pennyworth juice - Rau Ma mix - with ube taro, coconut milk, pandan jelly 4. Ma juice coffee - marked as Must try - pink salt cream milk coffee 5. Dak Lak - marked as Must Try - avocado coffee 6. Bến Tre - marked as Must Try - ice blended coconut milk coffee So refreshing and good for your health too! What else can I ask for? This place is cute to hang and their drinks are yummm! Cannot leave this place with 1 drink because their drinks are too good. I to go many drinks to stack my fridge at home. The aesthetic of this place, their drinks, cute sofa, fresh flowers. The service was very nice too. Drinking pennyworth juice can be a great substitute to the traditional boba drinks. And of course I have a big love to Vietnamese coffee. Feeling neutral today so I hang out here.

Was looking for somewhere to get a pennywort drink and stumbled upon this place. I got the pennywort sugar cane juice and it was really good! There’s a few tables inside so there’s some room to hangout.

A healthy alternative to bubble tea. It tasted fresh and yummy. They also gave me a free sample.

Ma Juicy employee is not honest and has very bad service. The store closes at 10:00 pm. I visited around 9:40-9:45 pm, but employee told that it was closed while people are still drinking inside the store. Then, he kept staring at me until I left. Ma Juicy owner should change closing time at 9:30 pm instead of putting 10:00 pm, that makes customers confused and wastes their time. I am a loyal customer for a long time but after today, Ma Juicy is not in my drinking list any more.

Excellent drinks and fast service. My friend and I came here on a whim and it was so good. We tried several drinks and they were all amazing. Ma Juicy is located in a plaza with several businesses but parking was not a problem on a Wednesday night. They specialize in pennywort juices and tofu desserts. The interior was brightly lit and everything was pristine and clean. The service was friendly and very fast. My favorite was the pennywort juice with mung bean and coconut, but honestly everything we had was refreshing and not too sweet. Their drinks did not have too much ice either, and a balanced amount of toppings to liquid ratio. I highly recommend this place and would definitely make the drive back to try their other drinks and desserts!!

Came here ordering the cassie tofu friends was ravin about. It taste so sweet if u put the sugar syrup in it because its already sweet. They have other stuff drinks as well. Service was good because even tho they open at 10 and they can take your order 5 minutes till they open. So that was a plus. Ambience here is they only have like 3 tables with probably 10 chairs or so, wasnt able to take some picture from inside cause was in a hurry, and this review im doing 3 days after my visit so I do apologize no picture.

I love the drinks here--they're refreshing and feel healthy. We tried the #6 and #4. My favorite was the #4, which had an ube/taro mix that added a nice creaminess. It's definitely different from your typical boba drinks in a good way. I also heard pennywort is good for you, so this feels like a guilt-free option if you're trying to be a little healthier. I did take one star off because the cashier had trouble understanding English. I had to switch to Vietnamese, especially since I needed to ask about milk due to lactose intolerance. It wasn't a huge issue, but just something to note.

I come for the flat croissants! They are so good!!!! The drinks here are pretty good but Im addicted to their flat croissants.

I'm blown away from how much I enjoyed the food and drinks here! It was a quaint little shop and the service was good as well. I was recommended the Roasted Wintermelon and the Chrysanthemum Tea. Both were so refreshing and delicious! The Roasted Wintermelon was unlike any other drink I've had! It was the perfect amount of sweetness, and I loved the Chia Seed Jelly in the drink, which i've never had anywhere else. The Giant Flattened Matcha Pistachio Croissant was so delicious too! I've never had something like it, and I really enjoyed this sweet treat. It tastes exactly like a croissant, but with more of a cracker crunchy texture when you bite into it. It was pretty affordable for the size of it. If I had to recommend a drink here I'd totally recommend the Roasted Wintermelon. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it actually!

Cute space! Ordered #4's pennywort juice mix taro/ube sauce, coconut milk, pandan jelly & chia seed jelly drink and the matcha pistachio flat croissant. For $7.90, the cup was a good size and pretty delicious with the juice mix and toppings. I actually forgot pandan jelly was in it and thought it was pudding since the taro paste overpowered the pandan flavor. Overall, still a nice change from boba. I haven't seen much flat croissants and it came in a fun holder - taste wasn't too bad either! Would come back to try other drinks or get the same one again. Service was friendly and staff was patient as we tried to figure out what to order.

Soooo refreshing!!! It's great on a hot day especially during a heat wave. There's some seating inside to chill and relax. The space is bright and clean. And they'll offer samples if you're not familiar with how pennywort tastes like! The drinks came out quickly.

Ma Juicy is a cute, unique shop specializing in pennywort juices. Pennywort is definitely not for everyone, but if you've acquired the taste, I think you'd enjoy it like I did. Parking will definitely be a hassle since it's in a super busy plaza with other popular shops, restaurants, and an entire supermarket. DRINKS: Pennywort Juice Mix Coconut Milk (4/5) - #1 on the menu. I got it at 70% sweetness as recommended. Not too sweet and the pennywort flavor is pretty strong. I think the coconut milk was a nice touch and it kept the pennywort flavor from being too overpowering. My mom, a health nut, got it at 0% sweetness and enjoyed it, but I personally wouldn't do that. Pennywort Juice Mix Taro/Ube Sauce & Coconut Milk (4.5/5) - #3 on the menu. Also got this at 70% sweetness. I enjoyed this more than #1. The taro/ube addition was tasty and muted the strong pennywort flavor a tad. There's options for people that aren't huge pennywort fans! My friends really enjoyed the sugarcane coconut juice (#34). TLDR// Great for pennywort lovers and for pennywort non-lovers! Service was standard and nice. Interior was clean and there's limited seating. Would come back overall.

What an innovative concept! My mother in law loves pennywort juice for its health benefits and Vietnamese desserts. This combines the traditional flavors of Che/dessert into a trendy drink form. It's delicious! I really like that there are new elements like Chia seed jelly and soursop tea. I love sour sop! Definitely a new favorite drink spot in the area. This particular Ma Juicy also has a nice modern muted aesthetic and friendly staff. The parking lot can be very busy though! There is some seating inside and while there is a small line, most people take to go. I've tried so far #4, #6, soursop tea, and roasted Wintermelon tea. I really like the taro sauce! Crunchy boba is agar boba. The Wintermelon tea was a perfect sweetness. I feel like other places have it too sweet even if I adjust sweetness.

I love Ma Juicy! I have been coming here since November 2024 when their Brookhurst/ Garden Grove Blvd location closed due to fire damage. This place is very unique and carries a modernized version of a drink I grew up with: pennywort or rau má in Vietnamese. The drinks are delicious and refreshing, and you can customize the ice and sugar level to your liking. Pennywort is a great medicinal herb which helps detoxify the liver, brighten your skin, help you sleep, and reduce stress. I come here almost weekly, and I feel refreshed every time! My favorite drink is the #12- pennywort juice/ube combination with coconut milk, pandan jelly, and chia seed jelly. I also like the #6- pennywort juice/mung bean with coconut milk, pandan jelly, and chia seed jelly. I have also had the P2- large 24 oz pennywort juice. They also sell wintermelon tea with chia seed jelly which is delicious as well. I would like to try their soursop and chrysanthemum tea in the future. They also have a sugar cane and fruit juice mix available. There is seating inside and it is a good place to study or catch up with friends. Stay thirsty!

Pennyworth - served in many different tasty ways! I typically come here just for penny worth drinks, but they also serve teas, herbal teas, smoothies, and soy milk. Mainly a drink shop, but recently I think they've added more snacks. Drinks are in the $6-8 range if you start adding more toppings. My favorite drink is the taro/ube Pennyworth with coconut jello +chia pudding. At first when i ordered it, i thought there would be chia seeds in the bottom, but it's actually this super tasty jello like topping. Really great texture and mouth feel. You can adjust sweetness to your liking and adjusting down to 50-70% has always hit the spot for me. I really like the mixes, have had the others with various toppings and you can't go wrong. Also can't go wrong with the plain pennyworth or pennyworth and coconut juice! The staff make the drink super fast and i've never waited in line for too too long. It makes up for their sort of clunky online ordering platform on clover. The names of the drinks never show up right on clover and are too long. I've accidentally ordered the wrong drink online because it wasn't clear. Typically do to go, but there are numerous tables available if you want to sit and hang out with friends.

Great selection of drinks and teas. Tried the pennywort durian drink and the real durian hit me in the face with it being so pungent haha. Good thing I like it (definitely not for everyone) and I enjoy the acquired taste. Dung gave us great customer service. He was running it as a one man show that evening we came by and was very personable and gave recommendations based on what was popular and what we liked. He also gave us samples of their soybean drink and milk tea which were delicious. I noticed they even sell tofu dessert. This store is quaint but very cute and has nice comfortable seating when hanging out or catching up with a friend. Saw a guy evenings reading there so it's a good study spot as it's not loud in there. I didn't ask if they have wifi, but they probably do. Love places that have positive verbiage so thanks for the reminder Ma Juicy that I look awesome.

Pennywort - Healthy, delicious, nutritious, with benefits worth mentioning. Tried it for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The taste is earthy and mellow. Lots of variations (including taro, durian, mung bean, etc) and toppings to level up your pennywort juice. Besides pennywort juice- they also offer sugarcane juice, matcha drinks, and tofu pudding (which was surprisingly delicious). Fast and efficient service. Minimum seating inside.

I've only came here once because a friend thought the store name was funny. I tried their chrysanthemum drink and really enjoyed it! I'd definitely revisit if I'm ever nearby. The service is quick and the workers are friendly and helpful!

The drinks have changed and we don't like it anymore. Most drinks are mixed with other things now, and even the pure rau má tasted weaker, as if diluted with water.

Great spot for pennyworth drinks with a ton of variety to choose from. Service is good, and the place is a chill spot to hang out. Highly recommend.

My new fav place to get sugarcane+coconut juice! Sometimes those drinks have too much sugarcane or too much coconut but I think the one from here had a good balance

We were craving something refreshing after dinner and this was in the same plaza. The price is reasonable for nuoc Mia. I got the coconut nuoc Mia which was pretty good! But it was full of ice bc when I tried to stab the straw into the cup it went straight into to ice. The kumquat nuoc Mia is a little on the tangy sour side. Service was pretty fast, cute interior as well!

I don't love Pennywort juice, but Ma Juicy changed my mind. While staying traditional, I love that they transformed it to be more catered to the younger community. Coconut milk and pennywort is genius. The drink is so refreshing and creamy at the same time. They also had a great deal, if you purchased two drinks you get one free Pennywort juice or Wintermelon juice. We purchased four drinks and got two free small juices. Came during the soft opening, while I was waiting for some food nearby. We ordered two drinks and tried some pork floss and a croissant. The croissant was a bit dry and the floss was very salty. The drinks were great, and you can adjust sweetness and ice levels. It was a tight squeeze for ordering, but a few places to sit and chat or to study. Keep in mind this place is located within a busy strip mall, so parking is limited, but you can try your luck behind the building across from them.

We drank drinks here after dinner. There was ample parking and the interior decoration is very aesthetic and picture worthy. Ma Juicy specializes in pennyworth drinks and also offers some classic Vietnamese drinks. There are a lot of options on the menu but the worker offered a sample of one of their popular drinks. I ordered the #7, 12, and 20. I came in on Memorial Day and they had a promotion. It was buy 2 get $4 off a drink. My favorite of the 3 was the PJ with durian and pandan jelly. The flavors were so strong for all the ingredients which I liked bc nothing got overpowered by each other. My second favorite was the PJ with ube/taro. I will keep coming here whenever I'm in the area. It's so freaking and not too sweet for 100% sweetness.

I love their wide range of pennywort. My favorite are the mung bean and taro with rau ma. Their durian rau ma was too sweet. I think setting 25-30% sweet is best for me. Their default at 70% sweet was too much. Friendly service; clean; and cute ambiance. Will be back soon!!

This place is one of my top favorite drinks so far in all the drinks I've tried at other places. I always stop by 2-3 times a week. Service is good and compatible. A lot of seating areas for photos. The only comment I wanted to make was the buy 2 get 1 I miss that deal and hope we could bring it back. Would truly recommend and always support this shop!

One of my favorite places to get a pennywort drink because they have a wide variety of choices. My personal favorite is the pennywort, coconut water, and sugarcane combination. The service is great and the workers always have great recommendations. They also have a happiness guarantee policy, so if you're unsatisfied you can get it remade. Their drinks tend to be on the sweet side, so if that's not your thing, I recommend lowering the sweetness level.

The drinks here are pretty refreshing and honestly naturally sweeten I feel like. The peach tea didn't feel artificially sweetened and I absolutely appreciated that it's not overly sweet here. The sugar cane mix with coconut juice was SO GOOD. It's VERY refreshing and if you need a sugar fix, this would definitely do the job. I wish I had ordered it, but the peach tea hits the spot too. The staff was kind, and incredibly helpful when it came to questions. They made the drinks quickly and made sure to double check your receipt for pick up (we came when they were a little busy). The store itself is super cute and decorated with self affirmations and daily reminders. It's located in a small plaza where parking may look cramped/ busy, but if you drive towards the end of the plaza, there should be extra parking spots. Also, if you happen to go to the bathroom, take a selfie cause their mirror was *chef's kiss*

Really interesting concept! Usually pennywort reminds me of like the Chinese old school medicine you want to avoid, but this place makes pennywort way cooler and taste better! I love how authentic this place still stays to its Vietnamese culture with the menu and the highly customizable drinks. I really needed a cleanse so went with the pennywort juice with coconut juice. I love how the coconut stands out in this drink so you don't get too much of an earthy flavor than what you expect from pennywort. Highly recommend and they have a few chairs/tables if you wanna just chill. Plus bathroom where you can ask for the code to enter.

My new favorite place for Pennyworth drinks. Very creative choices to choose from, and it tastes delicious. The service is friendly and informative, describing and recommending us the drinks. #1, #4, and 16 are my favorite. I also love the ability to control the sweetness of the drinks. The little shop is very clean. The bathroom is spotless. I like Cococane, but it's a little messy. Definitely recommend this place. The only drawback is that the parking is a little hectic.

Grew up drinking pennyworth and eating durian so I really loved the PJ Durian drink! They used a durian purée that was smeared around the cup so it kind of turned into a milk tea once you shook it. Really good balance between the two flavors, didn't overpower one another. I would definitely come back to try more of their drinks! The interior is cute and the plaza has lots of parking. Drinks are averaged priced, about $8 with boba. Definitely worth checking out!

Great pennywort tea and boba options! Service is on point, and it's a chill atmosphere. Hadn't been here in a bit, but I'm glad we made the stop in as I forgot how good their pink salt foam is! :) Parking is rough, but where is it not. Just brave the storm and make the stop, you won't regret it. ;)

I tried this drink at the Asian garden mall weekend night market. Concept reminded me of my last visit in Vietnam. I tried the coconut juice with penny worth drink and fell in love. This location is conveniently close to the Asian garden mall. I've beeen here a couple times already and I always get the same drink. Their 70% runs sweet so make sure you adjust it to 50%. Other than that, I love their toppings. It pairs well with the drink. Store is really cute and aesthetic. This place makes a great hangout place with friends and family.

Ordered online and they were surprised me that the cups with no ice (no fill up to the cup) are really decent. Reasonable price. Fast service.

my friend got the pennywort juice with mung bean but it wasn't super flavorful, felt watered down :/ we got it less sweet and less ice. my bf got plain rau ma no sugar and it tasted the same as my friends tbh :/ good flavor at first but just watered down. i got the sugarcane juice with kumquat and it tasted old and too sweet like you could taste it wasn't fresh. wish they had plain sugarcane. the service was quick and the vibe is cute! would try again a different time

The name of this place is catchy and makes me giggle. Anyway, this was our next choice due to time as the line for Bake @ Che was out the door. The place is really clean and cute. I had no idea what drinks to order and the cashier recommended I get the special which included the Pennywort drink. That was just slightly sweet. I really enjoyed the #6 which contains coconut, mung bean and crunchy pandan. Not quite like a boba drink but still interesting and willing to try it again. Plenty of parking in this mini strip mall.

Their Jasmine Milky with honey boba is refreshing, delicious with soft flavorful boba. Their staff is friendly; she offered me a sample of their best seller (pennywort juice) to try. Highly recommended if you want to experience Vietnamese-inspired tea, coffee and juice!

Delicious tea for and affordable price. My go-to is the Wintermelon, absolutely delicious, and light sweetness. I don't feel guilty for ordering a second one, I just wanted more! :D We've tried a variety of drinks here and they've all been good. The service is always wonderful and the cashier is always very accommodating in providing suggestions / popular items. Can't wait to go back for more!

So happy to have found this new drink spot! We were on a coffee kick for a while but now we're obsessed with this place! I love rau ma, it's one of my faves and so I just get the P2 here but my husband & son are obsessed with the soursop tea! We've taken mom, brother & brothers gf here and they liked it as well! Service is okay, they could be a little friendlier and nicer but it is what it is. I love the decor inside though, it's all very cute!

Ever since we found out about this place 2 weeks ago, I think we've gone about 5 times. I love the soursop tea & i hope it stays on the menu. Its the only thing I get here and I am obsessed. Its so good and refreshing. Parking can get bad on the weekends but its just something you have to deal with when you're in OC. Customer service is okay, depends on who you get. I like how its decorated in here, although the seats can use a cleaning because theyre pretty dirty (the sofas) Great place though, please keep the soursop tea on the menu!
