Como Maalifushi, Maldives - Explore & Book

"Back in the 1980s, when the Maldives was a hidden paradise, you could explore its string of tropical islands and barely see another tourist. Today, it welcomes 1.5m visitors and boasts 130 resorts. But paradise isn't entirely lost. If you want to experience the real Maldives, head to Como Maalifushi.Tucked away in the southern reaches, this remote island-retreat is the only hotel in the stunning Thaa Atoll. Sleek, stylish and seriously seductive, Como Maalifushi is blessed with cream-white beaches and a sapphire-blue lagoon – on which you'll land after a spectacular 60-minute seaplane from Male. A marvel of chic minimalism, the 65 suites and villas are dreams of pared-back design: sparingly appointed with soothing tones, sharp lines, and spacious living areas bathed in light that blur the line between indoors and outdoors. And what outdoors: clean-edged terraces with turquoise plunge pools and floor-to-ceiling cinematic views of the dazzling Indian Ocean. The glamour continues across the resort with a superlative spa, exquisite service and sumptuous cuisine, plus a Japanese restaurant to die for. All this and a fabulous kids club, too (ages 4-12). Few resorts in the Maldives can match this level of low-key sophistication, and none match its beautiful location. Highs The incredible location. As the only resort in the stunning Thaa Atoll, you get superb beaches, pristine waters and a thriving house reefImpeccably designed suites and villas with gorgeous interiors and large terraces with private pools Exquisite service. Luxury resorts are legion in the Maldives, but staffing can be patchy. Maalifushi gets it spot onA wealth of one-of-a-kind experiences on your doorstep, from romantic castaway picnics to night snorkelling with whale sharks Superlative cuisine, plus one of the finest Japanese restaurants found anywhere in the Indian Ocean Lows After 5 years of exclusivity, new resorts are being constructed on the horizon, which means this pristine paradise won't be all yours for very much longerExpensive. A unique experience like this doesn't come cheapLeaving! Once you fall under its magic spell, there's a sense of parting with such sweet sorrow" - Jake Hamilton

COMO Maalifushi (Maalefushi, Thaa Atoll) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"How many perfect places can there be? And isn’t it a bit suspicious that so many of them seem to bear the COMO name? At this high level there’s very little to separate one purveyor of high-end perfection from another, save a personal preference for one brand’s aesthetic over another. At COMO Maalifushi, on yet another speck of an island in the Maldives, you’re made to feel as if bodily wellness and spiritual relaxation are the most fashionable things on the planet — and come to think of it, maybe they are." - Tablet Hotels

10 exciting Maldives experiences for every kind of traveller - SilverKris

"Located in the southwestern Thaa Atoll, this resort is a luxury surf hub with up to 20 quality breaks reachable by short speedboat rides, making it suitable for beginners and seasoned wave‑chasers. A permanent TropicSurf setup runs seasonally (April–October) and the property offers overwater villas and beach suites, private charters aboard a 21m yacht for exclusive sessions, and a surf pass that grants daily access to secluded breaks across three atolls; guides commonly recommend the playful yet rewarding 'Farms' break." - SilverKris

We stayed at Como by Maalifushi for 5 nights & it was one of the best experiences we’ve had, it was breathtaking, literally paradise! Our water villa was perfection! The staff were amazing & always ready to help, many fun activities to do, we absolutely loved our fishing & snorkeling trip! The food was great! It is hard to put in to words the beauty of such a place and I would highly recommend it to anyone planning to visit for the first time & this definitely won’t be our first and last visit. We would like to personally thank the Manager of the hotel, our butler “Sha” who did a fantastic job! Chuney, Josephine, Ashraf, Nazir, Benji, Kumar, Pete, Britney & literally all the other staff!! Thank you all for an unforgettable experience !

Excellent well-being, very green resort with friendly and peaceful atmosphere. Professional staff, amazing cousine (Japanese, Italian, welness coctails). Spacious villas and cosy interiors. The style reminds Japanese minimalism mixed with Italian Luxury. Unique impression! What was important for me as mother - the resort has Kids club based on Montessori system. We went by yaht to see dolphins - it was unforgettable!

A slice of paradise in the middle of nowhere! We spent 3 nights in Como Maalifushi and it felt like an absolute dream. The staff is the nicest, the island has everything from jungle vibes to paradisiac beaches. The spa is a huge plus and the 1h full body massage was the cherry on the cake. Thank you for having us, we’ll be back!

Such a wonderful place. We visited the Como for one week in November and had a phenomenal time. Previous year, we stayed at the W so this was a great comparison. The Como has a much nicer vibe and the food was great as well. One of the nights, the Como prepared a Maldivian night with food and a local band playing. Great way of getting some insight in the culture whilst being on one of the small islands. The team was super welcoming and we enjoyed some great conversations with the manager Rico and his wife Ursi. We definitely recommend this resort for and will hopefully get the chance to come back again to catch a glimpse at the whale sharks.

I have been to over 100 luxury hotels and resorts and this is in my top 5 list! The property is amazing, the room is spacious and beautiful. They have several incredible facilities like COMO play for kids, restaurant, spa, gym, shop etc. However, what amazes me the most is the hospitality. Everyone is so nice, kind, friendly, and helpful! The restaurant staffs, the chefs, the shopkeeper, the butler, the GM, literally everyone is wonderful! It's always the people that makes you want to stay longer and don't want to go home hahah Shout out to Maria the FnB Manager, the chef Mr. Sutapa, and many others. You guys are amazing! Oh the cute thing about this resort is they provide bicycles in each villa with a room number on it and you can use it to go around. Much more convenient than walking or calling for a buggy. You should stop by to one of their restaurant called Tai. Opens only in the evening and there you can live feed sharks! That's an interesting sight to see. Thus, overall experience in COMO Maalifushi is 10 out of 10. When you're about to visit Maldives, do put this resort in mind!
