"This Duluth bakery made a name for itself with its Fruity Pebbles-flavored unicorn macarons, which were featured everywhere from BuzzFeed and Mashable to the Food Network. Eventually, it had to limit the treats to two per person to control the craze. Husband-and-wife team Jack and Lan Cheng polished their skills at the Culinary Institute of America before opening Mac Lab in 2015. Today, in addition to cranking outadorable macarons, they use egg whites and almond flour to whip up whimsical, almost guilt-free pastries in flavors like raspberry-lemonade, matcha green tea, and elderflower. Also on offer here are coffee drinks, chai lattes, and cookies and cupcakes."

Looking for the perfect cafe with great coffee & dessert? Mac Lab is the one!!! They have regular macs and speciality macs like the unicorns and geodes. The consistency and flavors are 🤌🏻💕. Staffs are well trained in making you “THE” coffee. You won’t disappoint.

Hands down one of the best and unique cake decorating experiences here. Adult AND kid friendly! We reserved a section in this quaint mom-and-pop shop that was bursting in character. The decor is modern and perfect for photo ops with the kid's cake masterpieces. We called ahead and were given options to pre-pick the color palette for the mini-cakes and the selection process was convenient and affordable per person. Not to mention the flavor was spot on to what we wanted. This place is such a hidden gem, and the macarons (their specialty) were divine - it felt like such a treat to eat something this good without the costs of going to Europe every time I have a craving.

Google
The best macarons in Atlanta. I love the specialty macarons too (Pokemon, holiday themed, etc.). Really good coffees. Friendly service. Peaceful and sophisticated ambiance.

Google
Such a beautiful little store with some of the best macarons! Was such a delight to finally get the chance to stop by, as it’s been on my go to’s for quite some time now. Customer service was excellent and so was the Iced Matcha Latte, my son and I were so happy, we couldn’t wait to get home to eat our macarons! 10/10 recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

Google
This shop is very welcoming and cute. They have a pretty wide variety of flavors to choose from. Got a pack of 6 (Coffee, Passionfruit, Cotton Candy, Lavender Honey, Blueberry, Vanilla). The coffee and passion fruit were the best. They were very soft and tasted just like coffee and passion fruit. The cotton candy and lavender honey were good but the flavors were very subtle. The blueberry and vanilla ones had no flavor whatsoever. Pretty disappointing

Google
I absolutely adore the decor and the concept of the cafe. Loved the atmosphere and the staff was welcoming and kind. The coffee was good. We only got the Earl grey, vanilla, and coffee macaroons and they were good and the taste was subtle.

The place is like a small bakery with a few tables. Macaroons were good, loved their water bottles and beverages as well. They are unique in their own way and I recommend visiting this place. They also have free wifi so there are lots of people to ugh their laptops and don’t leave quickly. We could not find a spot to sit and they don’t have outdoor space to be seated. They probably need an outdoor space too or find a place where more than 25 people can be seated. The only issue I saw was store people were going inside quite often and had to wait to find them to ask for something. I gave them some instructions for making coffee and they didn’t really pay attention to that. Hence the rating is 4.

Google
Maybe it's due to the shipping. I was very disappointed in these macarons. They were mushy. I had a gift card so luckily I only paid about $16 in addition to the $25 gift card I had. They arrived in a gorgeous box. I had high expectations based on the packaging alone. I ordered 6 flavors. The one that was the best was the raspberry. It's the only one I ate the entire cookie. There really was no flavor. They also had a texture. It reminded me of coconut flour as opposed to almond flour. I'm very glad I sent these to myself instead of the friends I was going to send them to. Highly disappointed.

Yelp
The best macaroons I've ever eaten. Its common for places to sell pre-refrigerated macaroons that are not fresh and soft. This is definitely not the case here. I first ordered during the pandemic to share and fell in love then. You can tell they are crafted with care. I also like the multitude of designs they have seasonally. These would make a great gift to a teacher, friend or boss. The bakery itself is small but cozy. They offer a variety of cafe style drinks and have really nice decor. Overall I'm proud to be repeat customer of Mac Lab and highly recommend their desserts.

Yelp
I stop here every single time Im in town. So my my favorite macaroons. Just hate the past few times they didn't have the unicorn ones. Cute on the inside. Plenty of seating and the staff have always been nice. They also have a coffee menu.

Yelp
I've been coming for years! The macaroons are always delicious. I've never ordered anything else. Also, it smells like coffee when you walk, and it's super nice & clean with good customer service.

Yelp
I've been meaning to try Mac Lab for awhile and today was finally the day! When you walk in, the interior is so cute, clean and inviting! I was greeted and helped right away! They had a lot of flavors to choose from and even had some cute character macarons that I sadly did not get. I ordered a 3 pack to try and they were absolutely delicious. The flavors I ordered were rose lychee, passion fruit, and lavender honey. The flavors were not too sweet and the consistency was perfect. They were also packaged so nicely to go. I was too full to try a drink, but would like to another time. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
I was looking for a coffee place after having lunch at a nearby restaurant and found this. 5 stars for an overall experience in this area. Interior- very clean and elegant! Bright and calm. The bathroom was super clean, which is always a bonus! Service - very friendly and nice people Coffee and macarons - I got an espresso macchiato and 2 macarons - mango and rose lychee. I have had really great macarons from Paris, Seoul, NYC and other places in the states..so theirs don't stick out as the best, but they were very tasty. The rose lychee was better with more distinctive flavor. Mango was a bit on the subtle side. Crisp outside and right amount of chew. I would have like a bit more flavor in the mango, and a little smoother surface/ a bit more filling. Macchiato was good, too. Slightly acidic, almost standard hip coffee house flavor..:) I personally like it a little more mellower and sweeter, but it was good. All three items together were around $9 with tax, which is pretty good considering the price of everything these days. I'd definitely visit again if I'm in the area. It feels like a hidden gem in the area!

Yelp
GO NOW! This place has the most amazing macaroons! They are so fresh, full of flavor, and beautiful to look at. The filling was creamy compared to others where the filling is barely noticeable. The Mac Lab macaroons will want you going back to try ALL the flavors from the menu. Packaging is to die for as well, and they make a beautiful gift for teachers and birthday. They even have hand painted macaroons for very, very special occasions. The unicorn is adorable!

Tatiana F.

Yelp
This is a true gem in Atlanta! Highly recommend it The flavors/quality of the macarons is exceptional! The decor so elegant & tasteful down to the smallest details (like the hand-painted tables.) And the customer service was great I drove an hour to get here & buy a dozen macarons as a special Xmas present. It was totally worth the drive.

Yelp
My sister got the salted caramel, raspberry, and rose lychee macarons. I got the guava, passion fruit, and lavender honey macarons. We loved all of them but the passion fruit and guava and guava stood out for the unique flavors (the passion fruit one was pretty strong too) and the salted caramel and raspberry ones were also amazing! They were 18.13 for all 6.

Yelp
I adore the chic and cheerful atmosphere, here, with the soft color palate seen throughout the shop. Things you should know: I. LOCATION Within the Mall Corners Shopping Center. There's convenient private parking out front of the plaza. And it's free ~ can't get easier than that. II. SERVICE No complaints. Everyone was friendly. III. QUALITY The macarons are fresh and buttery. They're not flakey, not frozen, and not crunchy/dry. Usually, I lean towards baked flavors like Chocolate, Salted Caramel, etc. but I genuinely enjoyed the fruity options at Mac Lab more. Rose & Lychee and Guava were my favorites; I highly recommend them. IV. CAPACITY Plenty of available seating for a Thursday mid-afternoon
google avatar

Yelp
Currently, you can order online & have your macarons delivered or by pick up. You can only see pics before ordering if you do your takeout in person. You can't go in the store. They have a table with the menu printed & you pick your cookies that way. They also post specials on their instagram so follow them if you're interested! That's how I found out about Aang and Appa macarons as they're not on the menu. They're Soo good though! Their menu has maybe a dozen macaron types on it & not sure that they're selling anything else. Online had a few extra options for customizations or some of the off menu macarons. I ordered 12 cookies & they gave me 8 of them so I had to go back to the store to ask for the rest. That was a bit disappointing and really only lucky that I noticed so many were missing while I was taking a pic in my car. The macarons are very flavorful. The geode ones are $4/each and vanilla flavored. Aang was banana foster & appa was apple pie I think. Both $3.75/each. I also got 2 cotton candy for $5 total. Plenty of parking in the shopping center lot.

Yelp
After months of thinking about how much I wanted macarons, I set out on a search for a place that would deliver to my good ol' home anddddd after a quick Google search...I found Mac Lab. I've had macarons from here before and figured I get a few. Well. I'm here to say that after placing two different orders a week apart, I'm glad I found them. There website is pretty up to date and let's you know which flavors are out of stock and there are plenty of flavors to choose from and you can create your own box while some flavors come two to a pack or you can purchase individually. So far I've had Oreo, mango, raspberry, strawberry, cotton candy, lavender (there's cute food speckles on this one), this cute little unicorn one that's fruity pebbles (I think), vanilla, and matcha. Okay. I've pretty much tried most of the flavors but they are soooo good. They're so light and I just feel so fancy whenever I eat them. I've received the order about two days after placing it and while I was little weary about how they would arrive, I was happy that when I opened the box they were bubble wrapped and alllll have arrived intact. I also like that the store sends you updates on when your order is shipped and you're able to track your package. It's good to know that if I'm in the mood for some good macarons, they're just a one click away!

Yelp
Not only are the macarons ADORABLE but the place is so cute! The perfect spot to study and get work done!

Yelp
Great selection of Macaroon flavors was a delicious hit for my party looking forward to having some more

Yelp
Friendly service and nice interior but macarons were a bit too dried out/lacked flavor. Not sure if that's because of the time of a day I visited (around 4ish), but honestly the taste was disappointing. It's on a pricier side too. I've heard good things about this place so maybe I'll try it again earlier in the day :) Oh and their coffee is pretty decent too.
google avatar

Lorelei W.

Yelp
My granddaughter and I had a girls' outing. She enjoyed the coffee and macaroons. I must say it was pricey. The ambiance was nice, and the service was great. Very cute place to return to

Yelp
If you like macaroons, I'll assume you'll like this place too. Design wise the Mac Lab does look sort of like a lab. Mostly white in color, but it's still gives you that homely cottage vibe with it's wood trims and panel like something you would see in Home & Garden or HGTV. Definitely well thought of when it comes to interior design. The macaroons come in a variety of flavors and you get them individually or mix it up in a box of sorts. Prices will vary and most of them are around $2 or so. They recently introduced a ice cream option, that is only served Fri-Sun 3-9PM. Worth getting just because it's not your ordinary ice cream, feels a bit more on pasty/gourmet style and it also come with a macaroon attached. Overall, Mac Lab, which has been open for a few years now continues to do well and remain popular in the area. There are not many places that specialize in macaroons in the area. They have the best selection in my opinion. Worth stopping by for sure to give it a shot if you're in the area.

Yelp
I always enjoy going to Mac Lab when I visit my friends and family in GA. They always have amazing selections and the place is extra cute! Definitely a place you want to go if you're craving sweets! The macaroon is top notch!

Yelp
My significant other really likes Parisian culture. This was the perfect place for Macaroons. The people were friendly and helpful picking out the best options. My favorite was the cookies and cream and their favorite was the Rose. 10/10 recommend. The environment was chill to have A date at and they had seating with cool aesthetics. You can be dressed nice or casual. They have tables similar to A coffee shop where it's great for study work or business. Kinda expensive though - E+D

Yelp
So I was headed to my usual place to work (you know who you are) and was driving past this spot. I have heard about it but didn't know it was so close to where I lived nor did I know they had coffee. Because of the name I just figured it was a Macaroon bakery with not many else options. That may still be the case but the other option here is coffees and teas and a lot of them! Just on the latte menu, you have anything from vanilla to an orange coconut latte ( I was not brave enough to try this). THE LATTE TEST I asked for something pretty specified that I could judge better since I get this type of coffee when I am out and about. (a light caramel latte - very low sugar - with oat milk and cinnamon). Without, batting an eye, she agreed and knocked it out of the park! I loved the latte art she pulled off (see pictures) and the flavor was pretty smooth and not too strong. I see that they hare getting their coffee locally and it's being roasted at a city level because it is not french or dark roasted in flavor at least. GOTTA TRY A MACAROON...OR 2...MAYBE 3? No, I'm joking, being sugar sensitive the coffee was already making me nervous because many people hear "low sugar" and bring the drink to the bring of diabetes in a cup (they didn't do this) so I asked which macaroon was the most popular which was the oreo. I got this one and tried it out and couldn't taste much Oreo but it still had a great taste. Being a macaroon, you cant get away from it being completely coated in sugar - like literally. Because of this, you need to typically have a strong flavor that can cut through the sugar and make a lasting impact on the overall take. That said, I am wanting to try a few others in the figure to see how this is done. Why only macaroons? I suppose it because they are good at what they do. Since I have not eaten yet I don't want to try too many and hurt myself but ill be back for sure. ATMOSPHERE Of all the cafes in the Duluth area, this is one of the brightest I have ever been in. It seems very welcoming and has a strong white color presence (white tables, white walls, white ceiling, white counter, etc etc). I like the hint of teals, greys and beige colors. It was an atmosphere I quickly felt comfortable in and the staff were very welcoming. It's also pretty cool that the tables are expandable although there are only about 6 tables they open up to easily seat 6 people in case you have a group stop by. Wifi is available and pretty fast so it's perfect for cafe nomads like myself. MY ONLY TAKEAWAY I love cafe's like this who specialize and perfect specific items. In this case, they are doing killer macaroons and great coffee. I just wish there was something else more food-wise that was offered here. Some type of snack food to expand the customer base and retention of people like me who need time to work on projects without having to leave and find something to munch on. Anyhow, thats my take.
google avatar

Christie E.

Yelp
You usually can't go wrong with macarons, I do always run into the problem of choosing less than 6. I always want all the flavors. Mac Lab is a really cute spot on Pleasant Hill and seemed pretty spacious and a nice place chat with friends or do a little work. Of those I tried (guava, passion fruit, green tea mach, nutella, elderflower, rose lychee, and vanilla), the guava, nutella, and vanilla were my favorite. Pricing ranged from $2.00 - $2.20 per macaron, which is pretty standard. They also have a variety to delicious looking teas and coffee drinks I'm anxious to try when I have time to sit and relax at Mac Lab.
google avatar

Emily S.

Yelp
I came here on a whim because it is close to a Japanese restaurant I adore (Haru Ichiban). This place is very charming. The decor and food is cute and photogenic. They had a wide variety of macarons in the whole spectrum of colors. They are moderately priced, depending on if you get a standard macaron or specialty macaron. They can range from $2 to $4. I really enjoyed my time here, and I will probably be back when I'm next in Duluth.

Yelp
I live in California and wanted to send my sister, who lives in Georgia, a birthday treat. She loves macarons so I searched for a place that is near her and delivers. I was so happy to find the Mac Lab. Not only do they make delicious macarons, but there is free delivery for orders over $30. What a deal! I hate to pay shipping charges when it costs almost as much to ship as it does the cost of the item. I ordered her macarons on a Wednesday and they were delivered to her house the next day. She loved the gift and raved about how delicious the macarons taste. This is the second time I have used this business to send macarons to her and I will continue to order from the Mac Lab in the future.

Yelp
Mac Lab (9/10) is a small cozy cafe that sells an assortment of macarons and warm drinks. While the macarons are pricy at about $13 for 6 of them the quality and taste are great. Great for a date location or a casual meet up. AMBIANCE: (10/10) A cozy cafe with simple decorations. Seating can be limited if it's particular busy but overall great. CUSTOMER SERVICE: (8/10) Staff was friendly and helpful if choosing the flavors. FOOD: (9.5/10) I got a pack of six flavors: pistachio, Nutella, guava, passion fruit, and honey lavender. The pistachio and passion fruit were my personal favorites. All of the flavors were great, none were particularly overpowering or too sweet and the texture of the outer layer of the macaron was the right blend of chewy yet firm.

Yelp
I came here last night to "just learn to chill out; All I need from (them) is just what (they're) about." - Braindrain by: Sun Parade. But really I did come here to forget my troubles and chill out from dealing with Carvana previously (don't use them). However, DO come here! ( ' .')b they have a super cute setup and they do have coffee and tea. Boyfriend and I came out there to get dessert and I absolutely LOVE macarons! Nomnomnom! Make sure to check this place out after getting dinner somewhere close by! You won't be sorry :D

Yelp
Omg!!!! Just looked this place up because I wanted to try somewhere different! I went to Woops! in the Mall of Georgia and they had the same flavors of macaroons so I wanted to see what else was available! This place is sooooooo cute! I love the atmosphere! I would hang out here with friends or go on a cute date here. They had so many flavors to choose from, it was so hard to select which one I wanted. I forgot the flavors but they were all delicious! I will be back soon! Pricing was sorta up there but it was a great treat!

Yelp
Our visit to the Mac Lab was quick. There was ample parking; however, the scent from the Chinese restaurant next door made me forget what I was there for! Going back to Mac Lab... we were promptly greeted by the young man at the counter who explained their prices and the selections. We picked, Guava, mango, Jasmine, rose petal, and I forgot the other flavor. I thought the Maca were a little on the small size but I would totally spend $17 on the tiny jewels. They were fresh, soft and crispy and I have never had such a delicious and perfect Mac. The flavors were exactly as described. We took the cookies to go, but there was a very clean sitting area with people enjoying their drinks and on their laptops. I wouldn't suggest it for a large group, but it looks like a neat place to hang out.!

Yelp
Do you want to learn the difference between a macaron and a macaroon? Then Mac Lab is just the place for you! Their staff is exceptional in describing each flavor of the macaron that you'll want to order them all. I normally don't rate places a five star unless I'm blown away but Mac Lab deserves it. Each macaron is made with fresh ingredients and a whole lot of love. My favorite macaron is the vanilla. When you first take a bite you are met with a nice soft chew and then you get to the middle and there is the delicate filling. The vanilla filling tasted fresh unlike when you eat something with artificial vanilla. That shows how much they care about quality. The atmosphere is very relaxing with minimalistic decorating so you don't feel overwhelmed with the surrounding. Perfect for any occasion.

Yelp
Mac Lab is a very clean and cute little macaron shop in Duluth. It's located in a really big strip mall/ plaza. There's plenty of parking. This is very popular with students, and before the pandemic people went here to study and hang out. It's really nice inside. The macarons were pretty. Service was nice.
google avatar

Yelp
This is such a cute spot! It feels like I stepped into a hgtv/home magazine with such a nice clean look it was refreshing and I found myself very productive. The music wasn't overwhelming and I found myself singing along to a few songs. So many choices for macarons!! I decided on the lemon thyme and the lavender honey both were good and I described them as a dessert cup of tea. Also had the orange coconut latte, this was amazing!! I loved all the flavors incorporated into this drink and it wasn't overwhelming or too sweet.

Yelp
I always miss out on the super cute character macarons and the ice cream macaron sandwich because they are only served on weekends. I live in NC, and when I make my Atlanta trips, I'm loathe to choose a weekend, because in my mind the traffic is tolerable Monday thru Thursday. Unless I'm way off. In the mean time, my daughter gets to enjoy the various flavors they offered. I chose the Oreo, vanilla, lemon raspberry and elderflower (because it was purple, my favorite color) ones for her to try. She hesitated when I told her what the purple color was, but after one bite she enjoyed it, and then the other 4 afterward. Hopefully I will get to snack on some of their specialty weekend offerings soon.
google avatar

Tracy S.

Yelp
My favorite was passion fruit. I thought I'd like it but I ended up loving it! I was disappointed in the salted caramel and the lavender honey -- the flavors just were not distinct enough for me. I never would have guessed the salted caramel was that. I might have guessed lavender, but probably not. The coffee was ok. Lemon thyme was interesting. I sure wish I could have had a unicorn, but it's only available on the weekend (it's fruity pebbles flavor). Overall I think they were a bit overpriced. Hopefully you find a flavor you think is worth the high price tag. For me, that is passion fruit.
google avatar

Grace L.

Yelp
Came here craving the mint mojito latte only to find out that they don't carry it anymore but the quality of the macarons are solid (not too sweet) as well as the coffees! We got guava macaron, cortado, and a hazelnut latte. They use Batdorf & Bronson beans so the quality is cost of coffee is probably cheap compared to the others in the area! The cafe was completely empty so I'd recommend it for a quiet study spot as well.

Yelp
I went in today for a cappuccino but ordered a latte. Please don't ask why, I don't even know. I don't like milk that much. Anyway there were a handful of people went I in, a little after they opened. Though I like macaroons I did not indulge in one and ordered a latte. My only gripe was that the latte was way too foamy, I think the barista was fairly new and normally I don't enjoy Batdorf & Bronson (the majority of their espresso is too dark for my taste) but it wasn't bad. My fault for not ordering a cappuccino, I thought they has a smaller size latte. The staff was very nice, greeting people as they entered the shop. My visit was for a drink, mission accomplished.

Yelp
After giving mac lab 4 stars and traveling Atlanta for the best macarons, I've decided that I can not find any better. These are the freshest and most flavorful. Maclab deserves a solid 5 star rating.

Yelp
Dairy project collaborated with Mac Lab for the summer and more. This weekend (Sep 22-23) is the last before you are not able to get anymore. What attracted me was the 24k gold ice cream. Of course matcha too. I'm all for experience. I have to say that I spent a little more than I would want to on the ice cream but they were delicious. Ice cream dipped in chocolate with 24k gold sprinkle with a macaron on top. Ice cream dipped in matcha with silver topped with a macaron on top. 83/2018

Yelp
Honestly Mac Lab makes the best macaroons. They are the only place that I have been to that specializes in macaroons. Love their social media feed (Instagram) and how they use this tool frequently to promote limited time/edition flavors and creations to choose from. They have valentines week specials, Christmas designs during the holidays and I remember they had a Pokémon Eevee design. Very cute and creative. This place is very bright and beautiful as a place to study and look out towards the open space/ natural light. Love the place as it is. The price is expensive for sure but there is a valid reason for this since they perfect the craft of making one. Also I heard that they are really hard to make and maintain. I believe that I tried/ had a bite of each and everyone of the signature flavors. Love them all but I particularly love the rose and lychee one, and any of them that is a berry flavor: blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, and etc. Looking forward to coming back in the near future. Great staff, beautiful interior, positive vibes arounds.

Yelp
Mac Lab is a small shop next to Ming's BBQ on Pleasant Hill Road that specializes in macaroons. They take pride in their craft and do a great job. We've come several times, and we typically aren't huge fans of macaroons. We've tried just about all their flavors, but the earl grey, lychee, elder flower, and salted caramel stuck out most to me, mostly because of their very strong, true, and natural tasting flavor. While a little pricier than your typical macaroon (about $2+), it is worth it for the experience. You can tell how much attention to detail is put into each macaroon. They're picture perfect, satisfy any sweet tooth, and are perfect for gifts. While you're at it, try the unicorn macaroon too (it's fruity pebbles flavored), which is ~$4. In addition to selling macaroons, Mac Lab also sells creme brulee, coffee, tea, snacks (toast, salads, soup). The location is perfect and right in the middle of Pleasant Hill. The interior is nicely decorated. It's pretty small with just a few tables, so I wouldn't recommend coming here to hang out. The staff and owners are very personable and helpful. Overall, I would highly recommend Mac Lab as a place to try, whether it be to satisfy your sweet tooth, or to just try something different.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Mac Lab, although since it's been open, I was unsure of what to expect. People have definitely been bringing down the hype because of the high standards and expectations. However, I was pleasantly surprised by my dinnertime tea time. I ordered a thick chai latte to go with my two macarons: earl grey and rose lychee. One of my friends ordered the black sesame and the green tea macarons, while another chose the green tea cheese cake. Everything we tried was amazing, flavor wise. My favorite flavor of the night was the green tea cheesecake. Smooth and creamy, slightly bitter from the green tea but sweet in all the right ways. The earl grey tea was subtle until you hit the center of the macaron, where it packs a black tea punch. The rose lychee was also subtle and slightly sweet, which I enjoyed. The green tea and black sesame were just those things - green tea and sesame. But good all the same. I enjoyed sipping on my rich (whole milk only) chai tea latte. It warmed my belly on this rainy day. It's a little pricey but mostly worth the cost. There's limited seating, so I suggest coming by on a slow time - during a meal time, near closing time, or a weekday during work hours. Definitely worth a try or two... Or three!

Yelp
I love coming here! This place is super clean and bright, and the atmosphere is just so lovely. I always go for multiple macarons when I visit here. My favorite flavor is the pistachio. Not too sweet and just the right amount of chewiness and deliciousness. I also enjoy their other fruit flavors like passion fruit and mango as well as the earl grey flavor.

Yelp
My bf and I stop by Mac Lab fairly often when I'm craving macarons and creme brûlée. My favorite flavors are the Salted Caramel, Rose Lychee and Green Tea. They're crunchy when you bite into them and then chewy. So good! The creme brûlée is a hit and miss for me, there's day when it's really creamy and just the right texture, then there's day when it taste really eggy. I guess it depends on who's making them that day. Currently for the summer, they have the Diary Project popup serving soft serve ice cream, affogato and macaron ice cream. Bf and I opted for the soft serve with with chocolate, matcha and the 24k gold, and the matcha affogato. The soft serve is good! Not too sweet and very creamy. The Matcha affogato was a little too bitter for me, I wish it was a little bit sweeter. Overall great soft serve. For the two, I paid $15.

Yelp
I didn't think I was a fan of macaroons, but the truth is, I had just never tasted a real macaroon until now! This little gem is in a very unassuming location in a strip mall off pleasant hill rd, but it is well worth a visit! Their macaroons are almost too pretty to eat (almost)! I thought I'd like the elderflower or rose & lychee flavors the best, but my favorite were the more tropical flavors like mango and guava. They have a Dairy Project popup shop in there right now and are dishing out some amazing soft serve alongside those beautiful macaroons. I got the soft serve topped with espresso and it tasted like the strongest, best coffee ice cream you've ever had. My friends got the gold coated soft serve...because, well gold. Instagram worthiness at its best. But my coffee dessert was better imo. This place is worth the trek OTP for sure.

Yelp
Mac Lab was a pleasant surprise! I found it while hunting for a cute place to get tea in Gwinnett. I live in Decatur and there are a lot of beautiful and really great cafes near me. Mac Lab has officially joined my list of favs! It's beautiful and quaint. It is mostly white and they play a lot of soft jazz. But these MACAROONS are definitely THE thing for my visit. The macaroons are powerful in taste and soooooo cute. I love that they have so many flavors. The Lavender Honey flavor is my favorite... smooth taste and smooth textures. I do wish they had more tea flavors. The menu leans very heavily towards coffee and lattes, which I guess may be a regular thing for shops that sell macaroons. But I love tea. So I just wish they had more options. Beautiful place overall and undeniable good vibes.

Yelp
Mac Lab has made a name for itself over the years. I remember when it first opened and it was a pretty unknown, exclusive cafe to get macarons in Duluth. Nowadays it's become IG famous, people drive miles to visit the cafe, and its even been featured on big media corporations like Insider Food. The cafe is white and pristine, everything from the ceiling to the ground is wiped perfectly clean and the whole atmosphere gives off this dainty, delicate feel to it. You feel special when you step inside like you're going to a tea party in some Parisian bistro. To your left is a brightly lit case of a rainbow assortment of macarons. It's almost like a jewelry box and you can see all the macarons neatly placed before you. A few tables and chairs line the right side of the cafe. The OG regulars would know they used to have organic chemistry structures on the tables but it seems like they have erased them entirely! Their macarons are really out of this world. I've made macarons in the past and understand how painstakingly hard it is to get them perfect. The shell of their macarons are so pristine, you can't see any air bubbles, bumps, or cracks in them. They also have a beautiful sheen to them as well. It's crispy as you bite through the shell, then you're greeted by the pillowy and airy interior, and finally the soft and creamy filling in the center. My favorite has got to be the rose lychee. It wasn't overwhelmingly one flavor or the other and had a beautiful marriage between the sweetness of the lychee and the floral notes of the rose. Mac Lab is truly an experience. The staff are always friendly, nice, and welcoming to my friends who visit for the first time. The macarons are a feast for your eyes, nose, and mouth. Having said all this, please bring back the chem structure drawings on the tables! I know the black markings tend to wear out over time but they were truly part of the aesthetic.

Yelp
I've grown to appreciate macarons after attempting to bake them myself. The almond flour ingredient is pricey, and the entire process requires very accurate measurement and patience. This is why I'm okay with the steep $2+ price tag of one little macaron. The interior decor is very cute and very picturesque. It's perfect for beautiful instagram pictures. However, there are only about 5 tables so it can be hard to find a seat during peak hours. I especially enjoy the macaron sundae. It consists of 3 big macaron ice cream sandwiches served on top of dry ice. I almost did not order it due to not being able to find a seat, but I'm glad that I was able to eventually sit to enjoy it! :) Note: They only serve macaron ice cream sundaes and sandwiches on the weekends.

Yelp
Beautiful shop and friendly service. I've had many macarons during my travels and their cookie texture is perfect, but the cookie itself is very bland with only sugar flavor, and the filling is not generous enough (the sandwich was flat from the side, you could not even visually see the filling)

Yelp
Love this little bakery joint. On weekdays, it makes for a great study spot. I'm here right now and it's 5pm and I'm here chilling with one other customer. I love how they have outlets at every booth, too! One downfall would be if it's busy, there are only 6 tables because of the limited space. The environment is super light and spring-y. I love the white furniture and how bright it makes the place. The fresh flowers on the tables bring for a nice touch, too. The macaroons are so delicious! They're not too sweet, which is like a huge thing for me. They're perfectly made! I love the variety of flavors they have. My favorites are black sesame, Nutella, salted caramel, and blueberry! Their coffee is not bad either. I always go for a caramel latte and it's always made to perfection! MacLab offers more desserts as well, but I just like to stick to the basics lol. And obviously I love macarons, so I can't help but come back lol.

Yelp
I looooove French macarons and could not wait to try Mac Lab. This shop is very quaint and welcoming. All of the white and clean lines make it look very relaxing for grabbing some tea and getting work done. If that's all you're looking for, check them out. Now the macarons look beautiful in the display case, and at a cost of $2.25 per macaron I definitely had high hopes. Unfortunately, I wasn't blown away. They weren't too sweet, had the perfect meringue cookie and a decent flavored filling. However, the filling was the major contributor to me not being blown away....it just wasn't that flavorful. I'd expect a mango macaron to taste somewhat like mango, but it was more on the bland side. Mac Lab is definitely worth checking out and I'd likely go again to see if I just chose the wrong flavors, plus their tea menu looks enticing.

Yelp
This is hands down, my favorite macaron spot that I've ever been to. They always taste amazing, and they have a great selection of flavors to choose from. Their prices are reasonable, and it's cheaper if you buy in bulk.
