The Centara Collection, Machchafushi Island Resort & Spa Maldives

Having spent a week at this property I can wholeheartedly recommend without reservation. Our over sea villas were beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Our housekeeper Ibrahim Nassaru was exceptional in attending to our villas at least twice a day and they were kept impeccably clean. The food and beverage service was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. The drinks on offer were premium and the bar staff so attentive. The Food Manager Shervani was so accommodating and he really made my family feel so welcome with nothing being too much trouble. The head chef (A Sri Lankan chap - sorry I forget your name) was also superb. He even took the time to make a special Sri Lankan meal for my family one evening which was truly amazing. Miao from the Thai restaurant was also very helpful and provided us with two exceptional meals (can recommend the sticky mango rice!). The maintenance manager Pradeep was also so welcoming with nothing being too much trouble and taking the time to talk about the resort and teach us a thing or two! Finally I can’t name them all but the waiting staff were always present with a smile and nothing was ever too much trouble. Thank you Centara for a truly fabulous vacation.

The marine life is extensive and we watched the nurse sharks and sting rays in our snorkelling trip. Room was fantastic. Sea view with sunset daily. We could go into the sea fro. Our room as well. The pool was great in the room. Amanulla made our bed everyday with giving us surprise decoration. Food was not so nice at Suan Bua Thai restaurant. Reef buffet so-so. But the Italian restaurant food not too bad!

An Unforgettable Stay at Machchafushi Resort, Maldives My family and I had an absolutely amazing experience at Machchafushi Resort. Every aspect of our stay was exceptional , from the beautiful accommodation to the delicious food and the warm, friendly staff who made us feel truly welcome. A special mention and heartfelt thanks to Mr. Nasaru Ibrahim, who looked after our accommodation with great care and attention, cleaning and refreshing our villa twice a day. His kindness and professionalism really stood out and made our stay even more enjoyable. We left with wonderful memories and can’t wait to return. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a perfect island getaway in the Maldives.

Amazing family getaway. Weather was amazing, even with the expected odd shower during rainy reason.||Highly recommend the Kids club, especially for younger children. My youngest who is 5, wanted to go everyday, my 9 year old not so much.||Food has been overall very good. Plenty of choice on the Buffet. Italien and Thai restaurants were also very good. ||Experiences Halloween in the Maldives for the first time and the staff went all it to make it memorable. A parade in fancy dress around the island, amazing decorations. The restaurant was decorated and themed menu. Amazing effort by everyone at the hotel.||Room was perfect for our needs and we were looked after very well by Habib, who kept the room spotless and left little decorations in the room to come back to. A model employee.||Scuba diving is a must here. For both beginners and advanced. My wife and 9 year old both tried it for the first time and loved it. Recommend the Manta Ray and the Wreck Dive at night to those with a license. Alex, Yoki and Anant will look after you. For those that dont dive, theres an abundance to see from snorkeling around the island.

We spent 10 amazing nights in an overwater villa on this beautiful island and had the best time. We had an uninterrupted view of the sunsets and ocean from our villa which was spacious and elegantly decorated. This island has the most stunning reef and underwater life I have ever seen with living corals, turtles, rays and countless beautiful fish. What makes this place however even better is the staff who are very welcoming and just cannot do enough for you. Thank you Munna for keeping our room tidy and making us feel home with your beautiful decorations that always surprised us in the best way. Thank you Ashish from the Reef restaurant for your continous kindness, smile and remembering our favourite drinks from the 2nd day, we were truly impressed. And Sunny, thank you for your kind words, empathy and support to keep us happy, you are such a nice person. We also joined some trips and the dive center team was always polite and did their best to locate the beautiful creatures of the ocean and made sure we are safe at the same time. Thank you Centara Team, you are the best!

We have had the best holiday and I can’t wait to return. From the food, to the activities, and the amazing snorkelling, it was all perfect. ||The incredible staff make it so special. Everyone is so friendly and happy to help. There are a few special mentions of some stand out staff below. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay truly special.||Lots of activities for all ages. The kids club had good activities on offer and my son learnt some new things like coconut leaf origami and coconut painting. Nabaa and Yumi were amazing. The ezone was also a great option with games like pool, PlayStation, table tennis and ice hockey on offer . Perfect for some down time or when the weather wasn’t great. I also enjoyed the yoga and Pilates sessions set up on the beach by Sujith. The best part was the sound bath at the end. ||The house reef is incredible and we saw amazing marine life on all our snorkelling swims. The highlight is def swimming with the beautiful sea turtles and spotting the sharks. We can’t thank Fittey enough for personally taking us on a snorkelling trip! The resort provided all the snorkelling equipment. ||The food variety was great and I highly recommend booking the Thai in advance and def try their amazing handcrafted deserts. Meaw, Karl and the Thai restaurant team are just incredible. The Italian is set in a great location. Ashik is was so attentive. |As we are vegetarian, the resort made an extra effort with accommodating our request and we had a varied spread of options. We are so grateful to the chefs esp chef Nishant at the Reef restaurant and Chef Didi and her lovely team at the Thai restaurant for accommodating our vegetarian food requests. The bar staff were so friendly and very quickly knew our preferences. Always service with a smile. A special shout out to Neeraj, the ever smiling and positive, award winning bartender. We will miss your brightness. ||Our villa was cleaned and serviced attentively by Rana. ||Finally a huge thank you to Shervin. You are amazing and helped make our stay even more special. Fantastic stay, thanks to the wonderful team! We stayed at Machchafushi Island Resort & Spa and were absolutely delighted! The island itself is like a postcard: white sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and a stunning house reef where we saw turtles and countless tropical fish every day. The villas are spacious and comfortable, and the service is top-notch. A very special thank you to Chris and Aikhan – their kindness, attention, and warm attitude truly made our stay unforgettable. With people like them, you feel not just like a guest, but like a valued friend. The food was excellent: the freshest seafood, a variety of international dishes, and always plenty of tropical fruits. The spa was pure bliss and the perfect place to relax. Machchafushi is not just about the beauty of the Maldives, but also about the feeling of home and care. The island is an awesome place to holiday. Staff are so friendly, drinks are plentiful and the food is AMAZING. The curries are soo good and the things they can do with eggplant and potato is… wow. Great place for couples to spend a week or so. Even when it rained, it was warm rain that you can walk around in and still feel good. Highly recommended and worth the plane rides from Sydney.
