Machino Donuts

I went here several times but this time I order ube and some of cinnamon donut. It’s taste great not so sweet but the dough feel like it left over for several days. It’s hard and chewy, I have to re-bake, sprinkle some water and microwave to eat it. I also bought ice-cream, it hard like ice but taste great !!

I ordered custom donuts for a birthday gift through the website. It wasn’t the easiest to read the message on the donuts, which is understandable. However, the photos on the website made the lettering look much clearer and easier to read than what I received. That said, the donuts tasted great! One thing that was off-putting about my experience was the compulsory tip required at checkout. The website wouldn’t allow my order to go through unless I added a tip. I believe tipping should be optional, especially since this isn’t a sit-down service. But oh well. P.S: the message on the donuts is “IDM 33 heart”

The best vegan donuts I’ve ever had! 😍Everyone in our group loved them. We ordered the baker’s choice packs of 4 and 6 last month, and the selection was perfect. Each donut had a unique flavour and texture, and they all tasted absolutely delicious. This was my second time trying this place, one year apart, and the quality and taste have been consistently amazing. Highly recommend!

I was looking for a sweet treat for my coworkers and ended up at those location! It is a bit of a cramped location and the front door looked a bit rickety. The service was lukewarm at best, I felt like I was dealing with a disgruntled associate. I got a set of 8 donuts and left. They were all a good brioche, soft and supple. The fact that some of these donuts are vegan, even more impressive! The filings are a bit of a miss though. The ube was not as present as I expected, not having that note which could have improved with a bit of coconut. The creme crackling is still a good topping. The OG is a solid donut. I will say that it is a good donut shop. The service and the atmosphere is severely lacking. With a focus on that and looking at different flavor options, I'm sure they'd strike gold.

Heard the hype about this donut place! We decided to get the ube flan donut - deep ube flavour! Not too sweet. If we’re in the area again, we’d try another flavour. Wish there was a table or two to sit inside instead of having to take it to go.

We stopped by Machino Donuts and finally got to try it since we were able to go in the morning before the street got too busy. We ordered the apple fritter, blueberry lemon fritter, pistachio crème brûlée, and blueberry crumble. The fritters were the clear fan favorites and definitely the standout. The other donuts were okay, but we wouldn’t order them again. Overall, it was worth trying

We got the Ube Donut & Apple Fritter and enjoyed it but nothing special. For the amount of hype we heard about Machino, we had higher hopes of it blowing us away especially if they’re charging $4-$5 per donut. We definitely want to try the other donuts, maybe we didn’t get the best batch. The donuts look visually good though!

The best filled donuts in the city!! You can’t do wrong with any of them. But my few favorites are: creme brûlée, blueberry crumble, salted caramel pumpkin and pistachio filled donut

I keep seeing Machino's Ube Creme Brulee in social media saying that it's the best donut in the city. So I have to find out if this is true. And since I love anything ube, I was excited to come here and try it. Let me tell you that the donuts here didn't blew me away, nothing special about them. Overall the donuts tasted dry and dense like bread. The fillings/icing/toppings were unpleasantly sweet and some have underwhelming flavour. I've tasted other vegan donuts and it doesn't even come anywhere close to Machino. I have to try these donuts to see what's the hype about them: Ube Creme Brulee Utter disappointment is what I felt upon taking my first bite of the Ube Creme Brulee donut. There is no way you can taste the ube in this donut! Artificial ube flavouring/color - a big YES, real purple ube flavour - resounding NO. Trust me I know, since I grew up eating ube and can distinguish the real taste of fresh ube vs artificial ube flavour. This donut also has a description saying ube custard but doesn't even taste like one since the filling has a thinner consistency. Classic Apple Fritter They said this donut is very popular and everyone's favourite. But I beg to differ since this is my least favourite donut. The donut has a sweet and salty flavour combination that makes the pairing less successful. It borders more on excessive saltiness that overwhelms the delicate sweet flavour of the donut. The apples in the donut were very limited and lacking the flavour you normally find in an apple fritter. Devil's Chocolate Before buying this donut, I asked the cashier if this is dark chocolate and she said yes. Shouldn't have listened to her coz this is one of the worst donuts I have tasted and there's no way this is made with dark chocolate. The combination of the cocoa glaze topping plus the chocolate cake crumbs and chocolate ganache is the worst flavour combination ever! It's nauseatingly sweet and I didn't even enjoy it. I don't even see any positive thing about this place. The store is small, it's just a takeaway place and designed for customers to grab their donuts/drinks and go. I was even planning to buy coffee but quickly changed my mind when I saw nowhere to seat and enjoy the food. Service was abysmal. The Asian cashier was so unfriendly and no one is manning the front of the store. I have to wait for a while coz the staff were missing in action. After helping me, she took off again to God knows where. Another customer walks in and has to wait just like me before the cashier came in front to get her order. Way overpriced for a low quality donut. They take cash but don't accept $50 bill which is disappointing coz there's no sign anywhere in the store that says they don't accept large bills. This further cemented the fact that you should never trust influencers and be cautious of their recommendations solely because of their biased opinions. There's so many donut places to try in Toronto and I'm not giving this place a second chance after having a less than stellar experience.

Hands down one of the best donuts in the city! We discovered Machino when their shop was at Bloor and Christie. They're fluffy and not too sweet. Their menu rotates so you will never be bored of the same flavour. Machino is literally a store front so there's no seating. Pick up your donuts and go. I think it's pretty underrated as influencers on social media do not mention Machino when featuring the best donuts in the city. Good for: donuts

Vegan donuts... YES VEGAN! I wasn't sure what to expect but I was walking by and they had an open window concept and had all their donuts displayed already and I got really intrigued so I bought a box to try. The honey dip (regular donut) was super delicious and not too sweet. All the donuts were very airy, and I did share my donuts with two of my friends, they both really liked it and couldn't believe it was vegan either. One had the london fog, it had a strong flavour and one had the chocolate. Really fast service, the employee was nice enough o answer my questions but yeah only thing is they don't have inside sitting area since it's a open window concept

These are VEGAN???? I never would've known had I not stalked their site intensely before coming. Their hot chocolate donut was LOADED with chocolate and their Dubai chocolate donut was probably of the best Dubai chocolate variations I've tried (and I've tried a lot--cookies, other donuts, tiramisus). Ube creme brûlée was actually perfect. These guys do NOT skimp on filling and I LOVE that. The donut itself is plush and fluffy. Their selection is fantastic, overwhelming because there's just so many damn good options but they're all amazing (except the pickle fritter I actually hated that one but I was curious lol)

This is one of my fav donut shops in downtown Toronto. I come here whenever I'm in the area. Last week I got a biscoff flavour, so so yummy. Icing was not too sweet, it was delicious. Dough was very chewy and soft. They've got tons of flavours and the price is so reasonable. Go early or else they sell out for the day! Service was quick. Definitely recommend!

With a monthly rotation of creative and delicious donuts, this spot is a sweet tooth's dream come true. We were so stunned by the variety we stood there for 5 min, in a daze, dreaming about the taste of each one. Prices were reasonable and the worker was very nice. Can't wait for the next set of flavors!

This review is based on my first Banoffee donut here. Bought a Banoffee donut today. Awesome! Pillowy dough, the cream was good, i love sweets that aren't too sugary! Sure it was messy but it was good! I bought a few for my friend's family. The staff was really nice to tell me the sweet potatoes fritter that had a marshmallow top won't fit in the regular box and if I mind having it packed separately. Some bakeries don't care about this and just stuff their baked goods in a box. Thanks for caring about your product and its presentation! This place reminded me when Dipped first opened with the its humble storefront. Will come back and try other flavours

Amazing doughnuts. Open late, I love coming here late before I go over to friends houses, parties etc. selections are great. Flavours are good and toppings are plentiful. We love getting a bunch of doughnuts of different flavours and cutting them into pieces so everyone gets to try. One of my favourite spots in the city.

Literally my favorite thing I've gotten I love donuts and I've always wanted donuts to spill out my name, and I found the place I can do it that's actually Vegan! Wish this place was back in the states!

The pistachio donut was yum, the matcha was really bitter and we also got a ube one and that was sour which we really didn't like

I ordered 4 donuts I got their ube, holiday nog brûlée, and pistachio. It's not too sweet which is perfect for me. Since it's not too sweet, I can eat more of them. Size wise it's pretty big and when it's warmed up, it's soft and so good. Service is great. When you buy 1/2 dozen or more, they give you 5-10% off. Price is decent. Not too expensive but not cheap. I would definitely try them all at least once. I would recommend!

I have been looking for a vegan donut shop for years. A lot of vegan donut shops have some vegan donuts, but because of cross-contamination from the other donuts they make it's impossible to be safe if you have allergies. When I saw this place, I was delighted. Not only do they have monthly flavors, and amazing different styles of donuts, they also have fritters that taste like things I only experience through memory these days. They're apple fritter reminds me of something I had 20 years ago, and for $3.50 being able to relive that memory whenever I want is a real blessing. Sometimes there is concern that if something is vegan, it's not delicious, but I can assure you that is not the case here. This place is currently my favorite donut shop in toronto.

These are the best doughnuts period. Not the best vegan doughnuts. Just the best doughnuts!!! I wish they would bring back the dill pickle doughnut and the cookie dough doughnut. The biscoff is my go-to. The cookie/the cream/the doughnut itself, it's wonderfully balanced.

I wasn't expecting much from Machino Donuts, given the fact that all their donuts are 100% vegan. But I shouldn't have been skeptical, because these guys are cranking out some of the best donuts in the city. I decided to try the Apple Fritter and it's one of the best apple fritters I've had in a long time, maybe ever. It tastes super fresh and is loaded with delicious, not sour apples, and the whole thing is enhanced by the cinnamon glaze. It's just so, so good. They had a bunch of other flavors that looked just as tasty, so I'm excited to return and give them a go as well.

This has to be one of my fave donut places after trying it for the first time. They have an amazing variety of donuts with tons of really creative and fun flavors. You gotta try the raspberry blueberry fritter and the ube filled with a beautiful purple cream on the inside. They even have wild flavors like the pickle donut with literal pickle slices in the dough that was actually good. Cant wait to come back to Toronto for Machino.

Great donuts. UBE one is by far the best. If you're lucky you can grab a too good to go back that's totally worth the price. I prefer more crullers but their filled donuts are very good

My favourite donut shop in Toronto! After exploring different upper scale donuts, Machino donuts have hit the mark! Being in the city, I want my donut to be peak quality for a reasonable price. It's a tricky scale to navigate. Machino has hit the mark, without breaking the bank! The Earl Grey Cronut was everything you could have wanted. As a donut fiend, the carrot cake donut satisfied ALLLL The cravings. The Oreo option, although a lil crumby, was oooo sooooo gooood. Def for the chocolate lovers!! Not to mention, the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about their products! Took the recommendations and were not disappointed! The donuts are also made fresh in house:) oh and also vegan?! Fabulous (esp given the pricing!) Cant wait to go back!

A small store front, but that is all that's needed. No frills, just the most amazing donuts. Easily top 3 I've ever had. A wide variety of unique flavors without being over the top. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was recommended to us by two different people in less than 3 hours, so we had to go. I would also pass on that recommendation of a "must try" if you're anywhere near Toronto.

I LOVE donuts. I'm vegan. So, when in TO this weekend, of course I had to try one of the top donuts in Toronto, per Yelp. Whaaaaa? Literally, one of the worst donuts I've ever had, vegan or not. How on earth did this place get such a high rating? Both donuts were overly sweet, and dry.

Teeny tiny doughnut shop that sells the most amazingly delicious (not to mention HUGE) vegan doughnuts! Great selection with everything from classic glazed to strawberry cheesecake. Always fresh and affordable.

Great donuts, wish they had more operating hours. It's challenging if you work late if you want one of these awesome donuts.
